Subjects :Garnitzenklamm is a beautiful gorge, interesting from a geological point of view but also from the photographic point of view. A stream that flows for some miles between sheer cliffs and rocks with different colors ... is a photographer's paradise!
Recommended equipment :I recommend bringing only a wide angle lens and a tripod of course, essential. The fauna and flora are still rich, but the main subject is water.
Best months :Garnitzenklamm offers the best photographic opportunities in spring and autumn in the thaw season the river is full of water, so it's spectacular. Autumn leaves can add atmosphere to the place.
How to get there :From: Arriving in Pontebba (UD), take the mountain road that leads to Nassfeld (Nassfeld) border. Continue the road for several miles, until you reach the valley of Gail. Take the main road to the right, and soon follow the sign "Garnitzenklamm" turning right. After a few kilometers you will reach a point of comfort and, in front, c'sarà a small parking lot. A few meters further you will find the cash.
Visits :Entrance costs 4 €, free for children.
Notes :We need a minimum athletic training to accomplish the base path (only gorge) of Garnitzenklamm (about 4km and a few hundred meters in altitude), if you want to then continue the hike up to the pass is about 1300 meters altitude.
