Subjects :It is a resort town on the Red Sea on the Israeli coast. The Dead Sea and its salt formations already offer a lot of ideas, to these can be added the flashy tourist buildings and the even more conspicuous tourists that are in the area. The whole thing has a somewhat alienating effect, at least in February, because it seems like a place made to welcome thousands of tourists, but it is located in the middle of the desert and in winter there are only people who come for dermatological treatments with Dead Sea salts.
Recommended equipment :Definitely well tropicalized equipment, because the place is surrounded by desert and often a wind full of sand rises. Having said that, I would say that a 35 or a 50 mm, depending on your preference, combined with an ultra-wide zoom are perfect for the place.
Best months :I would say in winter, to avoid the crowds of tourists and increase the alienating effect of the place
How to get there :You can take a bus from Jerusalem's Eastern Station, the same one that takes you to Madaba Fortress
Visits :There are numerous beaches and resorts on the Dead Sea, just a few minutes away by bus is the famous Madaba Fortress
Notes :Always check the geopolitical situation at the time of your visit, because the bus passes through the Palestinian Territories
