Subjects :The ancient Douiret, now uninhabited and in ruins, is an archaeological site of great charm, even for the freedom of visits: can be explored without a guide and without timetables, although care must be taken, some buildings are unsafe.
Recommended equipment :Wide-angle, standard zoom lens and tripod.
Best months :All year round, although I do not recommend the summer months due to the high temperatures.
How to get there :By car you can easily reach the modern Douiret; overcome the new country and continue for a couple of miles, the road ends Douiret old.
Visits :Freely accessible without a guide and without timetables.
Notes :It 'a picturesque hotel carved into the rock, the rooms are small caves decorated with the bare minimum. If you decide to spend a night in the area I recommend it!
