Subjects : Dettifoss, 45 meters high, is the most impressive waterfall of Iceland, immersed in a wild and uninhabited. A short drive away is the smallest Selfoss, 11 meters high (not to be confused with the names ... Sellfoss Icelanders are complicated!). And 'possible to photograph the falls from all angles through various roads and trails.

Recommended equipment : Wide angle, standard zoom and tripod, plus any telephoto zoom for details and shooting from a distance.

Best months : During the summer it is easily accessible; Winter can be hard to reach or completely inaccessible (we managed to see it even in November, but the road was busy).

How to get there : The waterfall can be reached from the south, from the Ring Road, or from the north, from the road number 85. Depending on the side of the waterfall that you want to see, take the road 864 or 862 (both sides are worth a visit).

Visits : Visited freely, no cost.
