Subjects : A series of Buddhist temples built inside caves, I think the most original temple I have visited in Sri Lanka. Recommend visiting in the first hour of opening as it can be quite crowded during the day. In the surroundings you can also photograph scenes of reportage, flora and fauna.

Recommended equipment : Wide angle, standard zoom, possible tripod, other lenses depending on the photographic genres you want to develop.

Best months : All year round.

How to get there : There are two access roads, one from below and one from above; I recommend the one from above (put Dambulla Cave New Car Park in the navigator) because it is the only one where there is a ticket office.

Visits : Paid visit, from 7 am to 6 pm, currently the cost is 2000 LKR per person (about 6.5 euros)
