Subjects :Bunaken Marine Park is a protected area and a paradise for divers and non-divers. The typical tropical landscape gives beautiful shots. From the island of Siladen it is possible to photograph a beautiful sunset on the Manadotua volcano. At night also a beautiful Milky Way that descends just behind the volcano.Water water the reef is incredible. The green turtle is the master. The probability of meeting it is 100% guaranteed because the beaches of the Bunaken marine area are places of deposition for these beautiful animals. The still anonymous reef is affected by bleaching due to the rise in the earth's temperature. The biodiversity that characterizes the area is incredible. In addition to the myriad of fish that inhabit the reef you can have fun with the macro and photograph frog fish, shrimp harlequins, porcelain crabs, nudibranchi of all sorts and many other species.
Recommended equipment :The islands of the marine park offer shots of all kinds. Wide-angle lenses recommended especially for beautiful sunsets and better if equipped with a tripod. Even the fauna offers beautiful photos for lovers of macro.Il reef and its biodiversity can be photographed by any type of photographer, both amateur and professional. The reef with its larger creatures give a lot of joy you have owners of action cam to which we recommend the use of magenta / red filters or, better, an excellent underwater lighting to avoid the dominant blue / green. For the most demanding camera SLR with diving suit and very powerful flashes. For large subjects a 15mm wide-angle lens with a spherical porthole is recommended. For macros a 100mm is the minimum union because some subjects like the pygmy seahorse are really small.
Best months :The best time is ALL YEAR! Although January and February are the least recommended for the probability that it rains every day.
How to get there :From Rome Fiumicino SINGAPORE AIRLINES flight to Singapore, from here change flight to continue to Manado. At this point it is necessary to embark to arrive either on the Island of Bunaken or on the Island of Siladen (here an Italian has a beautiful resort that is recommended).
Visits :To access the marine park in diving you have to pay an entrance fee but this is already included in the price of the dives that will be paid to the local diving centers.
