If you know this place, give your vote:

Coordinates : 47.499591, 18.283447 (Open in Google Maps)

Subjects : The village on the Lake Bokodi consists of hundreds of houses built on stilts at 20-30 meters from the shore, reachable only through thin and shaky walkways. The vibrant colours of the houses and the lines created by the catwalks offer excellent landscape cues. At sunset the houses are backlit, while at dawn you have the sun behind you and it is easy to find fog that rises from the water, which is always hot because it is used by the nearby power plant for Cooling.

Recommended equipment : Wide angle, standard zoom and tripod, preferably very high.

Best months : All year round, But I think the cold months are the best because you can create a great atmosphere with the fog rising from the Water.

How to get there : Partenzo from the town of Oroszlány (which can also be reached by train), you arrive in Bokodi in about an hour of walk or in five minutes by car; I recommend to put in the navigator directly the coordinates (47.499591, 18.283447) since there are no indications.

Visits : The area is freely visitable, but obviously the houses are private property (i could not tell if the walkways are "open to the public" or not, but I have traveled some and the locals have not told me Anything).
