Subjects : Iside the canyon is possible to take pictures on canyon walls, holes, sunlight rays passing tru the holes, with a wonderful color rendering, from yellow to blue. The walls show amazing curves done by the canyon water flow corrosion.

Recommended equipment : It's necessary to bring with you a wide angle lens and a tripod, the color rendering is wonderful just without any filters

Best months : The best period to obtain saturated colors is on the summer period, just to 21 september is possible to do a guided visit with local guides. The interesting hours are the midsun hours when ray of sunlight pass tru the upper canyons holes. From end of september and during all the winter time, sunlight ray are not visible and the colors are more smooth.

How to get there : If you are already ion the Las Vegas surroundings you can reach the town of Page (AZ) by car. Then the access to the canyon is allowed only with suited cars, jeeps and local guides. Access with private car is forbidden also because there isn't any road, is just an off-road path on the sand.

Visits : It's possible to visit the canyon only with a guided tour, access to visitors is forbidden without a local guide. In page town thre's a lot of travel agency that propose the tuor. Two different kind of tour are available, just for tourist, that last 45min and for photographers 1,5hour at 50Dollars per person.

Notes : The canyon is usually crowded, you must be ready to thake shots when the people disappear beside the walls.
