fujifilm_x-t2Fujifilm X-T2

Pros: Has everything you need

Cons: AF-c that must be set well in every situation to extract its maximum potential

Opinion: After 4 years from the purchase I feel I can express a sincere opinion of this camera body. It's a complete machine, I don't think I have any doubts about that. It never happened to me to think that I did not have the tools to take a certain shot (rather I thought I did not have an optics to make them), which certainly translates into the phrase that I indicated as PRO, that is: "it has everything you need". The body is built well, gives a sense of solidity and has all the keys and rings in the right place, the operating speed is very good. The amateur photo, even the most evolved, even years after the release of this camera can not be disappointed. If set properly, it does very well in practically all areas, except perhaps in birdlife and sports photography, where the AF-C is dated. It weighs and clutters relatively little, which makes it a valid ally in trekking, provided you equip it with fairly light and performing optics. Very good ISO tightness for a 2016 APS-C, certainly equipped with fixed lights can do its job well even in low light. The viewfinder is excellent, well defined, well bright even if used in the presence of a lot of light, has all the info you need and is widely customizable. The presence of focus peaking allows the use of manual optics even vintage (through adapters) without problems. The burst is good, if you use good SD with high write speed you will have no problems whatsoever to store RAW files. RAW files are very workable, although I personally find it very difficult to recover the highlights, while for shadows there are no problems. Used by me mainly for portraits, landscape and street, it has never abandoned me. The battery does not guarantee a full day especially if you are a compulsive photographer, but given the size and weight of the latter, just put a couple of spare in your backpack and the fear passes. Facial recognition also works well (used in photos of my baby with excellent results). Conclusions: a complete all-around camera devoted to photography rather than video (which I do not use), and that bought even today (December '22) can give great satisfaction and be a worthy travel companion also thanks to the beautiful Fujifilm optics that can be mounted on it. If you are undecided and want to try the Fuji world, it is definitely the right machine to enter the brand. The timing, iso and exposure compensation rings, combined with the diaphragm ring positioned on practically all the lenses of the house, promise an experience similar to analog but with all the advantages of digital. Also excellent for JPG fans thanks to the film simulations that are also widely editable. The articulated display is ready for any eventuality that will appear in front of you. In short, a machine with bows that promises longevity thanks to its completeness even today.

fujifilm_56_f1-2Fujifilm XF 56mm f/1.2 R

Pros: Magic

Cons: Slightly slow AF

Opinion: As I wrote in the PROs it is a magical perspective. There is no other way to describe it. Vero has an AF not quite up to par but you will forget it as soon as you look at the shots on the monitor. In portraits it is perfect. The weight and bulk are exactly what I would have liked from such a lens. On the T2 it is very balanced in weight and size. The bezel of the MAF is large and rubbed the right. I think that together with the 90 F2 in fuji, for portraiture there is nothing better.

fujifilm_18mmFujifilm XF 18mm f/2 R

Pros: Compactness, weight, opening

Cons: In my way of seeing no one

Opinion: I have been using it for more than a year, I bought it used like all the optics that I own and that I have owned. With a reasonable expense you take home a 27mm equivalent with which to really do everything. When I want to be light I bring only him, with his angle of view allows me to take street shots but also not too wide views. If I need to take a close shot, its minimum MAF allows honest close ups that can be "helped" with a crop in post production to decrease the field of view of the lens. Its max aperture of F2 allows you to detach the subject from the background without completely canceling it as a canvas would. With portraits you have to be careful not to get too close to the subject so as not to deform it, let's say that it is great for setting. Used at intermediate diaphragms it has an excellent sharpness. A F8 -F11 can be used safely for landscapes. The autofocus is good. The hood is very cool. Diameter for any filters, small, therefore economical. Having the diaphragm ring on the barrel is great. I would buy it back 100 times.

fujifilm_55-200oisFujifilm XF 55-200mm f/3.5-4.8 R LM OIS

Pros: Construction quality, clutter and weights, stabilized

Cons: Endless diaphragms, barrel that extends when walking

Opinion: I have had the optics for more than a year and I have pulled it for mountain trails, I must say that in fuji the zoom canvases are not many, if you choose this lens is because you want to stay "in the middle" as quality between 50-230 and 50-140. At least, I made this reasoning, having to take it through the mountains in my treks, the 50-140 turned out to be too heavy and cumbersome, and I did not trust the XC series for the 50-230, so I opted for this lens. I have to say that I am satisfied, it is clear Q.B., it has a focal excursion that goes very well for landscapes, the brightness is not record, but the stabilization compensates for the more closed diaphragm. The bokeh is not bad, obviously less marked than an ultra-bright fixed optics. In short, maybe not suitable for portraits but more devoted to landscape and generalist photography. The diaphragms' diaphragms are the best clutched Fuji optics I own, but it's endless, diaphragms on the barrel are not indicated, and I don't like it very much. The zoom dial is hard enough, but the barrel comes out if we carry the car hanging around our necks and walk. There's no focal block. Rating 8.5

fujifilm_35mmFujifilm XF 35mm f/1.4 R

Pros: Opening, Blur, Size, and Weight

Cons: In certain situations the AF slow

Opinion: And a fantastic optic, I've owned it for over a year, I bought it used. Small size, featherweight and wide opening make it truly a super lens. It has a blurry one that many other lenses dream of, a paste of its own. If you appreciate the 50mm angle of the field (actually the mm are 53 equivalents on FF, but little changes) then take it absolutely. You won't regret it. Extraordinary quality even at TA, the dials are perfect, that of diaphragms is neither too soft nor too hard, the same thing happens for that of focus. The AF in some cases struggles a little to hook, but it is not a problem if you do not take photos of moving subjects, here maybe for photos to children, or sports subjects, dogs etc. I would prefer the 35mm f2 or the 50 f2 which are much more responsive. Rating 9.5

fujifilm_27_f2-8Fujifilm XF 27mm f/2.8

Pros: Small footprint and weight, sharpness

Cons: Missing diaphragm diaphragm diaphragms

Opinion: Goal pancakes taken expressly to have a very light machine/lens body paired and little clutter. Fantastic sharpness from f4 onwards, more than good to TA. I wrote in the cons that the diaphragm diaphragm diaphragm diaphragm is missing, let's say that if they had put it would have been a perfect goal, even if it would have bought in size. I used it both to make street and even some views, until now it has never disappointed me. Buy it used if you can, for 150 euros you will not regret it, and you will use it more than you think. Precise and quiet autofocus.

sigma_24_f1-4artSigma 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art

Pros: General quality, materials, aperture, sharpness

Cons: Weight, sometimes the focus on the sides

Opinion: Optics to say the least fantastic, the mountains on the car and suddenly is love. Precious materials (metal and glass in such quantities that give a certain weight to the optics), top quality construction, impeccable assembly. The 24mm are the not too pushed wide angle that allows you not to have so much distortion, and in addition to landscapes, allows some portrait set. The large opening also allows astrophotography. At first I was oriented on the Sigma 20mm F 1.4, but then I evaluated that the 24mm in question would have been better for the possibility of mounting screw filters that I had already in the house. A real ART. Focus on the sides not always accurate but it is a defect to which I step over if I think of all the merits that this lens has. Recommended!

canon_50_f1-8_v1Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 (1987 version)

Pros: Cost, general yield, distance scale

Cons: Noisy Autofocus

Opinion: Metal attack, distance scale and less plastic of its successors. Optical pattern unchanged from plastic fantastic (50mm 1.8 mkii). Bought years ago at 80 euros. It's my only 50mm, focal that I use occasionally. The detachment of the floors is and is pleasant but the sharpness at 1.8 is not the best, close to 2.8 and will be a nice companion of adventures and will give you satisfaction. You will learn to shoot with a fixed optics. Possibility of good portraits for the figure to which you find it bought it as well. As long as you can find... Extremely noisy and slow Autofocus (it's still a 31-year-old lens). But you pass it on.

canon_70-200_f4Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0 L USM

Pros: Sharpness, base focal range for a good telephoto lens, weight, barrel that doesn't stretch

Cons: It's white, lens hood

Opinion: Bought this summer I got to try it out in the mountains in the hikes where you do appreciate it for the low weight. A lens with a really good value for money, it is found used at about 400 euros. Sharp already closing a stop (F4 for me is not as sharp as others are saying), while at F9, F11 for mountain landscapes is the maximum sharpness across the frame. I basically never do portraits but at 200 and F4 has a good out of the plans. So if you ended up reading the reviews it means that you are undecided between the smooth and the stabilized. Sometimes I regret the stabilizer do not tell you bales, but all in all if you do not shoot with little light also this model will give you great satisfaction. Always an eye at shutter speed to avoid the blur. If you are willing to abide by the rule then buy it unstabilized, otherwise dropped 100 euros more (used) and take it IS. We come to the flaws: the color, useless guys that we ride around, if I had to choose the optics for the aesthetics this lens would never come in outfit. The white cream color is really horrible to my taste. In combination with the black machine then.... Well, fortunately that makes beautiful photos, and I forget the color of the barrel. The lens hood, so large that it will always stay at home, I have no room in the backpack to carry it. Too big and bulky.

canon_17-40Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0 L USM

Pros: Lightness, focal length, colors, sharpness

Cons: Distortion at focal wide-angle thrusts, bulky lens hood

Opinion: For months it is my lens of reference, it is light, compact enough (except the hood), has a perfect focal range, reaching up to 40mm allows you to do a bit of street. The 17mm are fundamental in the squares and natural landscapes, even if there is a fairly marked distortion of the vertical lines. Max Aperture of F4 that does not help at night, but if that type of photography does not fall into your interests, then go straight to buy this lens, it will amaze you. It's an L series but pretty cheap, which doesn't hurt. You will hardly be disappointed. Very nice colors, sharpness in the center really good (at F8 or F9 is fantastic), at the edges there is a slight drop, but for me it is negligible. The only flaw is the hood, cumbersome though petal, and do not think not to mount it because otherwise it might suffer to do. In any case, I would buy another 100 times.. Great!!

canon_35_f2Canon EF 35mm f/2.0

Pros: Cost of used, sharpness, colors

Cons: Not stabilized

Opinion: The lens that I bought used around € 210, like new, is giving me great satisfaction. On aps-c becomes a normal focal length, excellent for street and reportage, on full frame is appreciated for its reduced pdc and brightness. The absence of the stabilizer can be a cons, but in my opinion, not to justify the highest spending for the brother IS. rn 52mm filters, so cheap. Impeccable assembly, low weight. Excellent fixed focal to be taken in the city exits.

canon_1200dCanon 1200D

Pros: Weight, sensor, dimensions

Cons: resistance to high ISO, gust

Opinion: Assuming that it is an entry level, it must be said that it obviously does not have the functionality of a semi-pro or a professional, but despite everything I used it for a year and a half with great satisfaction, it allowed me to learn the shooting parameters and composition, so I recommend it to all those who want a car to enter the world of photography without spending too much. The 18 mega pixel sensor makes good with medium lens lenses such as 35mm f2 and 50mm fixed, with the 18-55 of the kit in my opinion you can get good results only at closed diaphragms. rnDiscord to raise the ISO over 400 with color and 800 with black and white. The burst is good to do some testing but nothing more.rnAutonomy of the infinite battery, especially if you do not use live view. rnAssembly of the plastics I would say more than good. rnErgonomics good if you do not have too big hands.rnThe weight is definitely a point in its favor, being plastic, it becomes easy to keep it around the neck for the whole day without feeling it.rnI autofocus points are only 9, the centraland is the only reliable, but wanting to see a pro in this aspect, I learned to reassemble.rnla advice to all those people who want to start taking pictures but do not know if they like it.
