Pros: Very much like X-T1, almost identical. Where it has been changed, the changes are almost all good. It can give good, clean, big image and you can crop this image quite a bit if you need to. (24 mp)

Cons: Ridiculous interface with too many toggles and switches. Too long menu (too many settings). Expensive even now that it is retired (X-T3 is the present model). Fuji lenses are ridiculously expensive and neither Sigma nor Tamron make alternative lenses for X-T2. So if you buy one, you are in for VERY VERY expensive adventures in the lenses shop.

Opinion: Compared to the earlier X-T1 this camera is a move in the right direction. The problem is it is only a small move. If X-T3 is a similar small move, I will not buy X-T3 and go for another brand. The good things are actually good: the image is much better than from X-T1 (which was good but not brilliant) and easily competes with any other top shelf aps-c (small) sensor. In my opinion it also competes with many FF sensors. The camera seems to underexpose by at least 0.5 point, possibly about 1 point. Jpeg files are huge and not easy to downsize for the screen - so the camera is very good choice for those who need big files (e.g. to print big images) but not a good choice for those who always shoot for the web/blog/etc. My impression is that this camera could be used for some kinds of professional work because the image it creates is big, detailed, sharp and very kind to the eye. The big downside of the camera is the stupid Fuji 'retro' interface. But Fuji engineers have never held a real retro camera in hand (e.g. an FM2). So I will keep this camera for a time and see if I can get used to it. I got it with a super duper discount and with a full 2 year warranty. The discount is because new X-T3 is on the market now and there is virtually zero local demand for Fuji cameras.

Pros: Build quality, hand controls, optics, weight and dimensions

Cons: RAF file compatibility not optimal with adobe, the green color that for my taste is sometimes too saturated

Opinion: It's been a few years now that I replaced my canon 5dmk2 with this camera essentially for reasons of weight and size, in fact doing mainly landscape photography in the mountains and travel photography the weight and size of a full frame reflex had tired me (although the 5Dmk 2 was excellent). Of the XT2, as of all fuji, I don't like the menu, in my opinion not very intuitive and cumbersome. On the other hand, I love the manual controls of iso times etc. vintage style. This is because, coming from analogue, I am basically interested in shutter speeds, apertures, iso and exposure calibration, and I don't use everything else. The build quality is great as well as the fixed lenses which are excellent. The weight and bulk combined with the fixed optics make it ideal for travel and trekking. The only drawback is the well-known photoshop problems with RAF files, although over the years the problem has been greatly reduced. As far as colors are concerned, sometimes with some optics it seems to me that greens are too saturated, in particular. Let me start by saying that I don't use the velia mode, which seems to me to be caricatured and excessive, and I only use the standard mode, which seems more balanced to me. The battery life is shorter than other machines, but how many photos do you need to take? Is 350 shots too little? Come on, honestly, what's the point of taking 1000 shots and then developing maybe 100...

Pros: Great camera body, simple intuitive, price in 2023

Cons: No one if taken as a second professional body only for photography and some video on tripod

Opinion: Camera body Made in japan, colors to my taste more beautiful than xt3 and xt4, I combined it with xs10, the smarling of the t3 I recycled for the t2, simple menu, keys in the right place, nice viewfinder, has what you need to make a good photograph. Double slot and tropicalization, with a fast afs. Taken for 400 euros it is worth the expense, if you already have a stabilized body.

Pros: Third generation sensor, tropicalized properly, fantastic viewfinder, articulated LCD, fuji design, intuitive, excellent jpegs, fantastic raw, buffer and fps speed, monochrome and across, customizable filter simulations, execution speed, compactness and weight, dual SD

Cons: AFC not great, sensor not stabilized, LCD not touch, estimated battery life 350 shots

Opinion: Found at a really low price with 2 thousand shots in the black version, a fantastic camera. I already knew the sensor that mounts and I am always pleasantly surprised. The Fuji xt2 is in my opinion the perfect mirrless for those like me looking for something complete under all, or almost all, points of view without the need to have 200 megapixel sensors or to demand exaggerated things such as 400% magnifications in search of problems that exist only in the head of those who search. With XT2 you have an excellent sensor that resists well even at high ISO, dual sd slot, a tropicalized body that does not make you think if it rains or if you are in a dusty environment, a general operating speed sufficient in almost all photographic genres, a viewfinder that I personally find fantastic being beautiful large and bright, A design that never goes out of fashion and that transmits the desire to photograph, the possibility of presetting the camera through rings positioned in the right place, a very comfortable and better ergonomics than the more compact sisters (XE2 / 3 / 4 series, X100 series etc. that are "straight"), a number of fps as excellent as the buffer, Also not least and indeed strong point of Fuji, an optical park dedicated to APSC fantastic. They lack the stabilization that today is a musthave but that I personally do not consider indispensable for how I photograph, the af is much better in the new generations especially in afc and is not touch. I recommend fuji Xt2 to all hobbyist photographers like me and why not, I think it can still be used today for work but I do not have the skills to be sure.

Pros: Has everything you need

Cons: AF-c that must be set well in every situation to extract its maximum potential

Opinion: After 4 years from the purchase I feel I can express a sincere opinion of this camera body. It's a complete machine, I don't think I have any doubts about that. It never happened to me to think that I did not have the tools to take a certain shot (rather I thought I did not have an optics to make them), which certainly translates into the phrase that I indicated as PRO, that is: "it has everything you need". The body is built well, gives a sense of solidity and has all the keys and rings in the right place, the operating speed is very good. The amateur photo, even the most evolved, even years after the release of this camera can not be disappointed. If set properly, it does very well in practically all areas, except perhaps in birdlife and sports photography, where the AF-C is dated. It weighs and clutters relatively little, which makes it a valid ally in trekking, provided you equip it with fairly light and performing optics. Very good ISO tightness for a 2016 APS-C, certainly equipped with fixed lights can do its job well even in low light. The viewfinder is excellent, well defined, well bright even if used in the presence of a lot of light, has all the info you need and is widely customizable. The presence of focus peaking allows the use of manual optics even vintage (through adapters) without problems. The burst is good, if you use good SD with high write speed you will have no problems whatsoever to store RAW files. RAW files are very workable, although I personally find it very difficult to recover the highlights, while for shadows there are no problems. Used by me mainly for portraits, landscape and street, it has never abandoned me. The battery does not guarantee a full day especially if you are a compulsive photographer, but given the size and weight of the latter, just put a couple of spare in your backpack and the fear passes. Facial recognition also works well (used in photos of my baby with excellent results). Conclusions: a complete all-around camera devoted to photography rather than video (which I do not use), and that bought even today (December '22) can give great satisfaction and be a worthy travel companion also thanks to the beautiful Fujifilm optics that can be mounted on it. If you are undecided and want to try the Fuji world, it is definitely the right machine to enter the brand. The timing, iso and exposure compensation rings, combined with the diaphragm ring positioned on practically all the lenses of the house, promise an experience similar to analog but with all the advantages of digital. Also excellent for JPG fans thanks to the film simulations that are also widely editable. The articulated display is ready for any eventuality that will appear in front of you. In short, a machine with bows that promises longevity thanks to its completeness even today.
