Oggi CR ha pubblicato questo topic di riepilogo con quello che Canon dovrebbe presentare prossimamente, ma quello che mi/ci interessa maggiormente è il fatto che vadano avanti a confermare queste specifiche da paura per questa fantomatica R5!
Non sono io a farlo... quelli di CanonRumors ne sono straconvinti!
Fra meno di 2 settimane sapremo se ci hanno preso per i fondelli o meno!
Comunque la mia R continuerà a funzionare anche se questa R5 sarà una delusione, ma sinceramente non credo, anche se qualche insoddisfatto cronico ci sarà sempre...

Della partr video frega niente anche a me... ma neanche degli FPS! Mi interessa solo un bel corpo alla 5D con il joystick della 1DXIII e l'IBIS, doppio slot ed ovviamente un bel sensorone performante!

have removed the “RAW” part of the 8K @ 30p video specifications, I thought I had done that yesterday. The source that confirmed some of this stuff is unsure of what sort of 8K the camera has.
Spero facciamo un eposimetro degno che possa leggere agganciare e seguire il punto AF selezionato come le serie 1 e non come le serie 5... ma forse sarà solo una speranza se così sarà questa volta passo a Sony

Canon released it's 2019 year end report, along with 2020 projections today.
Interesting insights into the state of the industry, and Canons position in it.
Canon freely admits that they are late to the game in mirrorless, and working hard to catch up. However, they explicitly state that they intend to be #1 in mirrorless. In mirrorless they will be very much focused on the high end to try and improve profits even though total revenue will fall.
Pertinent to the subject of this thread, they said that they will soon be releasing a high end mirrorless camera that will compete with the best being offered by their competitors.
Although lacking in specification details, I think Canon is aware of what the competitive cameras are, and their specs.
Information is better coming from Canon, than a rumor site. Something big is coming, and Canon seems proud of it.

Could this statement in Canon's financial report released today indicate these R5 specs are true?
"In Imaging System, although we expect camera revenue to decline due to the impact of continuing market contraction, we will put a stop to the decline in profitability, by further enhancing our mirrorless lineup with an advanced feature full-frame model and lenses, and by accelerating review of our business structure."
"In 2020, although we expect market contraction to continue at a similar rate and the market size to be around 7.5 million units, we also see stable demand for professional and advanced-amateur models. In order to maintain profitability, it is important for us to secure market share and improve our product mix further in this area. "
"Although we have launched two full-frame mirrorless cameras as well as ten dedicated lenses, our lineup is still insufficient. In order to recover from our late entry into the mirrorless camera market, we have plans to launch a model that incorporates a newly developed image sensor and image-processing engine that offer even more advanced features. We will work to raise our presence in the mirrorless camera category, leveraging large trade exhibitions around the world. Even amid increasing competition, we will expand sales of higher-end models driven by new products and aim for top market share even in the mirrorless camera market."
"At the same time, we will expand our lineup of dedicated lenses launching several innovative ones that take advantage of the new mount that allows greater flexibility when designing lenses. We will accelerate sales by responding to user need to capture various images, expanding options by combining camera bodies and lenses."
