Sarebbe bellissimo se con la a9II presentassero anche il 500GM con queste qualità e 2,5kg di peso...oramai hanno sdoganato le ottiche ultralight... |

Lancio una provocazione: e se la miglior qualità ottica Sony fosse dovuta al fatto che hanno realizzato una lente con gli stessi principi di quella Canon (ovvero peso ridotto e concentrato più vicino al baricentro con le lenti spostate indietro) potendo però sfruttare meglio lo spazio vicino alla fotocamera grazie al tiraggio minore? |

Tutto potrebbe essere, quello, la lente in fluorite in più, quella asferica...boh!  |

Aspetto il 500 che tanto sara' come il 600 o forse anche meglio poi tutte le carte sono in tavola e allira si puo decidere.
Un 500 a 2,5kg con l 1,4x sopra hai il massimo.
Una cosa e' certa ormai le reflex vanno bene solo per chi vuol risparmiare per tutto il resto prestazioni autofocus e sensori per ora c e solo lei.
Non male anche il 200 600 fa un po di culetto a tanti ma va be' alcuni lo sapevano altri un po' meno |

Penso che il 300 ed il 500 saranno gli ultimi ad arrivare essendoci gia in attacco A ma mai dire mai ..forse nel 2020 potrebbero tirarli fuori.. |

Mah, io continuo a essere MOLTO scettico nei confronti di TDP. Nel test del 100-400 il diaframma 5.6 è più nitido del diaframma 6.3. Possibile? Non credo proprio. Hanno un sistema di test opinabile come minimo. |

Come funziona ... adesso i bistrattati test di TDP sono esaustivi?
Che strano ... fino a un paio di settimane addietro quelli di B&H erano sul libro paga di Canon e ora? ora non lo sono più forse? ... oh ... ma fatemi un po' capire ... ma com'è che funziona sta' storia? |

“ Io ho il Nikon 600 FL e sebbene da questi test ne esca anche abbastanza bene sono molto critico verso il metodo di TDP, usano macchine diverse software diversi su ogni singolo marchio, come si fa a ritenerli attendibili?
Preferisco di gran lunga un test al banco MTF il quale sopravanza qualsiasi variabile sopra descritta, con questo non voglio dire che il nuovo 600 Sony ne uscirebbe diversamente da eccellente. „

Le modalità le hai mai lette? I migliori? Come no?!
Potrei motivare con vari argomenti, ma, inanzi tutto gli obiettivi testati, i Canon ci sono tutti, tutti, gli altri, hanno già provato il 600 nuovo di Sony e il 400 non pervenuto, di Nikon quello che gli pare, macchine diverse software diversi di sviluppo.
Su cosa si basa il tuo ritenerli migliori? |

April 19, 2017, A9 was born. Without a doubt, A9 has the best AF system in the market right now. However, without native lenses to support it, you can't really can get the fully benefit of the A9. There are Sigma MC11 and Metabones mk V (5th generations). Overall, it works but it still not as fast as native. You can't get the 20 fps via adapter. Before the release of 400GM, i've used Canon 500IS ii, 600IS ii, 800IS, Sigma 500mm f/4, Sigma 150-600 Sport via adapter with my A9. I get pretty good result out of it, but i have to work hard for it. My back and leg are not happy since all of those lenses are super heavy. I also can't do handheld. Then last year, 400GM released. Since then, i shoot with 400GM 98% of the time. I just wish for 600mm range and that dream come true today. I'm super happy and exciting to see the Sony 600mm f/4 finally here.
* Build quality, design and it handling:
As of now, 600mm f/4 GM is the world's lightest lens => only 6.7lbs compare to Canon 600IS ii at 8.6lb, Canon 600IS III at 6.72 lbs, Nikon 600FL at 8.4 lbs. Magnesium alloy is used not only for the lens barrel exterior but also for interior barrel components. Lens elements are put toward the back; hence redistributed camera's center of mass to make it less front heavy, making tracking subjects and panning easier when you're shooting handheld. The lens has 24 total lens elements situated into 18 groups, three fluorite elements and 2 ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element that help to reduce chromatic aberration, a common problem in telephoto lens. It also has one XA (extreme aspherical) to control spherical aberration and help achieve beautiful bokeh.
- customizable focus-hold buttons in four different locations on the lens barrel, which can be programmed for control of features, if desired. There is also a Full-Time DMF switch to immediately engage manual focus at any point, and a focus ring that features Linear Response MF for fine, responsive manual focus.
* AF and Image quality:
It has two extreme dynamic (XD) linear motors that drive the lens' focus group to provide fast, precise AF and reliable subject tracking. It is super fast to grab on your subject. Initial subject acquisition is also instant. Infinity to MFD is snappy. For 400GM owner, you will find yourself right at home in term of speed, tracking, stick rate. Very quite focusing engine as well.
Image quality is very sharp at wide open. Excellent contrast and resolution maintained all the way to the corners of the image. If you're 400GM owner, you will get the same speed, IQ.
* Teleconverters, Stacking Tele converter, CIZ (Clear images zoom):
it is compatible with both Sony's 1.4x and 2.0x E-mount tele-converters, producing outstanding imaging performance at extended focal length while maintaining fast, precise AF performance.
600GM + 1.4x TC = Sharp image. Super fast AF
600GM + 2x TC= Sharp image. Super fast AF
600GM + 1.4x TC + 2x TC = Sharp image. Fast AF. AF will work within 150ft.
600GM + 1.4x TC + 2x TC + CIZ (2x) = acceptable sharpness.
BIF works flawlessly when pair up with all TC/ Stack TC.
* My thought:
With the release of 400GM, 600GM, Sony is now finally enter into the wildlife segment. Pair up with A9, you will have THE BEST combo. Super light weight, 20 fps, real time subject tracking, eye animal, stick rate like superglue. All of these features will give you the extra advantages over other system. In my opinion, 600GM is not a replacement of 400GM. They complement each other. 600mm is the popular range for majority of wildlife shooter. I have the lens since June and i put it through many different scenes in the last 2 months (Falcon, White Tailed Kites, Burrowing Owl, Black skimmer etc) and i can't seem to find a thing to complain about it (It is that good). I really enjoy shooting with it. I can handheld all day. It gives me the mobility, ability to be more creative
As a previous Canon/Nikon user myself, i understand the cost involve when switching system. With DSLR, every time you switch, you can always find the long lens at discount/used price. You don't feel the burn on your wallet. With Sony, since both 400GM and 600GM are new, you will not be able to get the lens at discount price and in some case, you can't even get the lens new since it is still back-order in most places.
BUT, if financially allowed, i can guaranty that you will be happy and thanks me later for recommend this lens + A9 to you. On the same token, i'm going to be brutally honest with you that getting this lens will not guaranty your picture will be better. It takes two to tango. Your skill and advance technology. If you have been switching brands back and forth, chasing after the latest and still don't see any improve or happy with it, you might want to take a hard look at yourself first.
In conclusion, Sony hits a home run with this 600GM. I'm strongly recommend this lens as i'm getting one for myself. |
