Questa mattina un "informatore" molto tecnico di cui non posso svelare il nome mi ha inoltre comunicato che sarà possibile definire un intervallo di fuoco, così da fare concentrare l'autofocus soltanto in quell'intervallo velocizzandolo enormemente. Inoltre sarà possibile predefinire tre intervalli da utilizzare "al volo".

"The Olympus system is more like a iris detection system, it detects where you are looking at and selects that target as tracked. But instead having a iris scanner, you do it by pointing camera and following the wanted target by keeping it in the frame.
If there is two identical targets, the one is selected that you are following. They can merge and separate but priority is given to target you are following. So if two football players on same team merge and then both goes to different directions (other to left and other to right) Canon and Nikon tracking systems has no idea which one to track as to them the other is moving to other direction and other to other direction. They don't know are you moving camera or not so they don't know which one set as priority.
Olympus system knows as it can sense that you are moving camera after other player and use your selection as confirmation that one is the priority and tracks it.
With wildlife it is totally different ball game because tracking system can detect that you are panning camera to right at X degree per second, so it will reject all the other areas in frame that moving to right much faster than your panning, or areas that are moving to left as they are either stationary or moving to left. And only your wanted subject is kept fairly stationary in the frame and tracking is focused on it.
This means Olympus has two modes built in for tracking systems because Gyroscope. The traditional "Track what has motion on screen" or this new "Reject what is moving to opposite directions or at wrong speed".
And this very likely makes the Olympus autofocus system superior to anything that is there, because tracking system works with the autofocus system and it "knows" what you want instead just try to guess what you would want in the frame."

più alto è il piedistallo e più ti fai male se scivoli e cadi... ;-)
Beh aspettiamo, perché essere pessimisti per principio, dicevano così anche dell'eye-focus ed invece spesso funziona benissimo. Poi come tutti gli automatismi non sarà infallibile ma magari consente una media più alta di scatti a fuoco di altri sistemi in quelle determinate situazioni.

mi sembra di capire che molte sono implementazioni software (integrazioni di informazioni che arrivano da piu' fonti hardware come ad esempio sensori di movimento, analisi dell'immagine etc...) il software viene evoluto e migliorato con velocita' esponenziali rispetto all'hardware quindi tutto puo' essere... io il beneficio del dubbio glielo lascio :-)
Mi pare che dalla 1 alla 2 siano passati 4 anni...insomma,credo presumibile un netto miglioramento,almeno auspicabile.

Quel che non sapete è che alla Olympus stanno lavorando su un sensore transcranico, che ogni acquirente della MKIII riceverà (corredato da un elenco di centri specializzati di neurochirurgia convenzionati) e che permetterà alla fotocamera di interpretare le intenzioni del fotografo.
Mah, conoscendo Olympus e i suoi proclami sull'autofocus più velice del mondo fin dall' e-system ci andrei molto cauto. Piu che altro penso e sembra ci sia un travaso di tecnologia da Sony che sappiamo ha un af affidabile.
A dire il vero hanno più volte ribadito che non c'è nessuna collaborazione nel settore foto. Sony ha solamente acquisto una pacchetto azionario del settore medico, che è la parte importante di Olympus
Cmq se tutte questo ha il solo scopo di mettere curiosità nei possibili acquirenti, direi che con me ci sono riusciti

C'è chi ha una piú che buona conoscenza degli aspetti tecnologici, ma per mettere a fuoco necessita di protesi avveniristiche. E c'è chi ha una modestissima competenza tecnologica, ma mette a fuoco con maestria.
È la nota distinzione tra fotocameramatori e fotoamatori.
