Ciao.

Ho preso in mano una X-T5 ed ho notato che c'è la possibilità di salvare i file anche in formato HEIF.
Voi cosa avete impostato? Vedete una qualche differenza anche in termini di qualità?

Penso che nessuno ti risponderà se poni le domande in maniera incomprensibile.

Differenza di qualità rispetto a cosa?

È un formato con una compressione più efficiente del classico jpeg.
Inoltre consente una profondità del colore a 10bit contro gli 8 del jpeg.
Anche gli altri produttori con le ultime camere consentono di salvare in heif, il problema è che non è ancora molto supportato... lo standard del web è ancora il jpeg, spesso occorre un codec apposito anche solo per visualizzare i file e perfino photoshop ha problemi ad aprirli e gestirli.

È il formato degli smartphone e chiamato pseudo raw, ma non è un gran raw. Sulle fotocamere non lo userei, avendo il raw vero

Il titolo non fa accenno al raw, tra heif e jpeg cambia come hanno già detto 10bit contro 8. Su Canon (non so su fuji ma immagino sia lo stesso) le immagini in heif salvaguardano meglio le alte luci e le zone in ombra, a costo di in file un filo “smorto”

Il formato HEIF permette di salvare a 8, 10, o 12 bit e anche 16 bit, anche se non tutti i didpositivi supportano tutte le varianti.
Lo svantaggio maggiore del formato HEIF/HEIC è che non è libero da royalty.

Il formato sarebbe chiaramente molto interessante... ma l'acerba compatibilità col web e windows ne limita fortemente l'utilità...
alla fine ho preferito rimanere coi JPEG pronti fujifilm nonostante la peggior qualità...

PS:NON faccio post produzione...
quindi i raw al momento non mi interessano...
