Unfortunately this 35mm lens did not like my D200 and I was disatified by the pictures, especially in terms of colors and sharpness. Since I bought my D90, I gave this lens a second chance and it was love at first sight! This lens offers the best performance with CMOS sensors. So, if you do not like the lens, consider a problem of machine coupling. RnSome people say about the manual focus ring, as I always use the autofocus (as 95% of people) I just keep on the light hood mounted flipped, in that way I avoid to ruin the body of the lens.
