Sometimes we are just lucky not to sleep here..... Last night we overfly as usual the Karakoram - Gilgit Baltistan. From Purpa to Gt is the part of the route that requires more attention as high terrain behind. Mountains are more than 7000 meters, like the Batura Sar. There is the same photo taken from the same position of my photo. The night and the moonlight bring the rest. Amazing experience. I know these peaks by heart as I fly many times these route (G325-W112). Here looking west just passed Purpa. Canon EOS 6D with EF 24mm f/1,4 L USM II 12800 ISO f/1,4 1/4 sec Batura Sar Elevation: 7795 m / 25574 ft Fly on a Tour Batura Sar, also referred to as Batura I, is the 25th highest mountain on earth and the 10th highest in Pakistan. It is the highest peak of the Batura Muztagh, which is the westernmost subrange of the Karakoram range. It forms the apex of the Batura Wall, which is a continuously high part of the backbone of the Batura Muztagh. Alternate forms of the name of this peak are Batura, Batura I, and Batura I East.
