panasonic_fz1000Panasonic Lumix FZ1000

Pros: Versatility of optics // JPG image quality (in not poor light) and RAW // Ideal x photos in Travel - Excursions // Effectiveness d. Stabilizer // Great Viewfinder (also to review photos in case of strong east light. or presbyopia) // Many options menus and buttons customizable // Excellent videos already in Full HD and 4K that churn out excellent 8Mp stills (but I'm not interested that much the VIDands and 4K are very heavy) // Electronic shutter (up to 1/16,000 sec): fundamental x situation where 1/4000th F8 are not enough and you do not h year filters //

Cons: Lack of F11 (x PdC in Macrofotogr.) // FLASH flashy blue with strong Sun in the opp frame. just out of frame // Easy zoom-MaF ring to rotate-touch inadvertently // To Temperatures below zero, sometimes it may require you to turn it off and on again // The Autofocus can "hesitate" when you are at strong zoom and with little contrast subjects (in this case it improves if you hold the photocam in vertical/portrait posiz) // Internal GND filters such as x FZ2500 would have been convenient... // In limit cases (spec. to all Tele and WE) edges and areas that are not close to the rather soft center-frame (this could vary "from exemplary to exemplary"...) WB Auto not always accurate (if you shoot in JPG better use Temp Kelvin) // It almost always tends to overexpose (c. 2/3 stop) // Too small the difference between the (-5/) levels of "image parameters", especially "Riduz. Noise" (which I keep fixed at -5, as well as the "Contrast").

Opinion: Although I use Reflex since 2008, especially x Excursions (see the Galleries of my website) and for 2 years I have FF (EOS 6D with 24-105L), since 2004 I have used Bridge Lumix (FZ20 and then FZ28). Certainly an FF sensor is always convenient, but considering everything (i.e. the "limitedness" of the 24-105L is alone), since I use the FZ1000 (summer 2017) I feel more the lack of the FZ1000 when I go out with the reflex, which vice versa!! Of course if you have to photograph the Milky Way, or take photos in poor light with valuable optics (large openings or serious zooms like 300/4 or 100-400 Mk2...) the Full Frame is irreplaceable! But x excursions and travel -so not necessarily "serious" - the sensor 1" of the FZ1000 just and advances, and indeed I was amazed by the yield and, certainly superior to that of the normal compacts/bridge. In normal light, the JPG of the FZ1000 are superior to those of the 6D (this is due, however, to the pitiful quality of the JPG of the 6D, with strong low iso noise and strong Sharpen to "0" setting... more than the deficiencies of the unobtrusive EF 24-105L) except at the edges. Excellent RAW (very useful with little light, when, like all Lumix, at shooting times like 1/15 - 1/4 begins to introduce - strong Riduz Noise) but perhaps the fine detail of the JPG taken with strong/hard light is difficult to obtain with the RAW (which, however, give a lot of llo on tones, shadow-light recovery, WB and better colors, etc.) at least with Camera Raw (also tried Silky Pix,..., cmq are minimal differences dependent on the algorithm of demosaicizing RAW Panasonic). MORE: - For me that when I use contact lenses I can not get too close to the LCD (I focus at half a meter), reviewing the photos in the crosshairs (diottric corrector) is great. - Using only VF battery life increases from 350-400shots to 450-500c.: despite having an original Panasonic Battery and a cheap ("Patona" green) and taking often 400 photos x Excursion, I rarely happen to change battery: only over 450-550 shots...) - Ideal for travel and excursion shots, but also slightly more superfine things, as for certain Macro spec in combination with Raynox filters or similar (see here on Juza the gallery of MR Bridge). In short, a tool with which you have fun. Then I know many Pro Photographers, who have also started using these 1" / 20Mp sensor bridges and sell the photos!! It is obvious that if you photograph at high ISOs or if you use Level Optics, the Reflex becomes "another world". I've already sold photos taken with the FZ1000. I hope that in the future the price of these Bridges will drop a bit (having to use it also x mountaineering and espoloraz. you never know how long it will hold...). - Great videos (I do not use the bulky 4K is enough for me, on the rare occasions when I do vid) the 1920x1080 at 50Fps!! - It may be lower than the Sony RX100 Mk 3/4 (for "pixel quality"), but it costs half! Ultimately STRA-RECOMMENDED, either to begin with, or to mate (?) or alternate with Reflex _ On My site of Photos Hiking in Appennine many of the photo galleries are taken with the FZ1000

Pros: I entered the pro-and against detailed in my place (June 24, 2014) on the Juzaforum: rnhttp :/ / www.juzaphoto.com/topic2.php?l=en&t=612828

Cons: - Rating: rn [9 -] to the rare (?) Perfect copies rn [8] to the "standard (like the one reviewed by Juza) rn [5 +] frequent copies affected by decentralization, problems with AF and drift of the barrel. ..

Opinion: 6egrave; was finally replaced with a new 15-85 is rn (it's been 10 months of purchase!). rnIl New decentram has a slight defect. to sin., but it is passable, less obvious and less extensive than the preced.rnLa sharpness in the center is always great (almost like a good fixed!), but at the edges and in the other corners is NOT perfect as the first copy, and with MAF proximal to infinity: it behaves in the center / corners that as the sample reviewed by Juza: certainly not bad, but not to be left open-mouthed as x specimens "lucky". rnrnAF: (also autofocus, as the problem. decentralization is very common for the NOTO and 15-85) AF seems to always choose pos too proximal, eg. 3m subjects to 5, or 7-39m instead of infinity (cf. the indicator barrel and in the EXIF ??data). (NB: AF with the center point only). RnComunque you can "fix" these things with the Full Time Man Focus (or shooting in MF or MF), and in any case, they are not able to determine if the problem depends only from the lens or un'eventuaincompatibilities with the 40D (it is also known for some "Rebel") and will probably be OK with the 7D? rnrnDifficile give clear advice often given the large disparities copy to copia.rnCanon should do a quality control + serious, because this perspective, though not the "L", can rival many L for at least Sharpness! rnrnPer also made good the rest of the flare, the 14-pointed star and fuzzy (for what it can give you a little slow luminiosa like this ) sign that the rounded aperture blades on board are a good innovation! rnrnVignettatura often exaggerated (but it's pretty easy to remove, in RAW) 1-2 stops down to TA, which can be hard to remove completely even by Raw, and can be very annoying in geograp type shots with TA-fog snow where the darkening peripheral jump much all'occhiornrnNessuna + 2 copies of my suffering drift barilotto.rnrnLa a little distortion 'is asymmetric and can be noted in csteep situations, but the focal length is considered to be a step ahead of the 17-85.rnLo same applies to the effectiveness of the stabilizer, even if I do not get sharp pictures (with the 40D also raising the mirror) to 1 second 15mm equiv. or 1/5 sec. at 85mm equiv as in some recens online.rnMa 3, maybe 4 stops of the margin 'IS gives them to you for sure! rnrnSe you are good or lucky, this lens can become INVALUABLE on APS-C bodies, as a handyman (even the colors are close to those of certain fixed light) as long as they do not suffer from decentram. and problems AF.rnIn this case, the sharpness is extremely high, not only in the middle, and superior to some noble L zoom I've used (and 24-105/4 24-70 2.8 L). rnAnche other aspects ( strength, to resist Flare, vignettat., colors etc) are superior to other good optical x APS-C, although in this case more distant from the targets W x FF.rnrnComplessivamente a nice lens handyman, but its price remains high, it would be more just 450-500e, especially in view of the numerous problematic that the lens can averernrnPS: rnATTENZIONE COPIES TO USE: rnCanon has a very good serve customers, but if you experience any defects within 7 days, it will be difficult to make you change the lens with a new one without a little 'insistence, and Keep in mind that the widespread DEFECT decentralization is difficult to repair (in many cases the lens will come back worse, or with the defect on the other side ... see also the forum in English in this regard). rnPer this reason, many people seek get rid of the buggy copies selling them! rnrnQuindi in (and dutiful recommended) test post-purchase, DO NOT limit yourself to photograph with a focus on close-up or "chamber" (ie a few meters), but also perform tests that require you to focuse on endless!

canon_40dCanon 40D

Pros: Fast (burst) and robust, very good quality RAW (including JPG, except for some problems of posterization if you crowd too carried away with curves and saturation levels), low noise even at high ISO, ISO 3200 can be used (but they tend to " banding "in the shadows, esp. of reduction. rum. disabled high ISO), Live View, Customize STYLES PICTURES (for more precise colorimetric profiles)

Cons: LCD almost useless (less readable than the smaller but equally Res.'s 30D); AUTO WB almost always inaccurate, sometimes ridiculous (I use the WB in Kelvin, but then you often have to compensate between green / magenta); colorimetrically is not precise, even if you can improve it with GREAT PICTURE STYLES Custom; slight tendency to underexpose, + / - slight posterization (spec. JPG too processed); miss microtaratura (inserted by the 50D onwards). I would have liked a little more care in making + (semi-) impervious to water and dust ...

Opinion: I took it from 2008, is my first SLR (I came from a handyman Lumix FZ20 bridge, 420mm F2, 8). The use yet with satisfaction (a couple of times I had to repair the shutter button, but the first time was mea culpa because Fcamera I fell on the stones). With good optics does not fear much competition from newer models (including within the reflex increase of megapixels does not translate into a proportional increase in image quality and definition). The QI not disappoint (even if it is + / - similar to that of 450D). AF very good, with excellent optics even in low light. I do not know how fast even for moving objects ... The Balance. White's CAR is almost always disappointing, except in situations + "easy" (I shoot in Kelvin). I also liked that there was (as in the 50D) the opportunity to observe the change in Live View of degrees Kelvin in the Settings. This type of WB. Excellent idea of ??"Pictures Styles", especially the fact that they can be personalizzati using DPP and modifying the colorimetric profiles to your liking (eg. making less saturated red, varying shades of blue / cyan etc.) but perhaps this can lead to increased posterization (?) and everyway is valid only for JPG, and for RAW if you open them with DPP (alternativam. one can operate on the tones / saturation / luminance of the various colors in the panel of its RAW converter). Sooner or later I'll have to go to the EOS 7D, and the main reasons are: - Ultramigliore LCD - microTaratura AF - Best Auto WB (I hope) - Lack of alternatives (given the policy of the Canon 60D x et seq.), I do not know as it will improve the IQ for a use for the web and small prints ...
