In questo video percorriamo a piedi una vasta terra glaciale sul cui fianco scorrono due grosse linghe glaciali di uscita del ghiacciaio Vatnajokull.
Fjallsárlón è infatti lago glaciale di scioglimento a sud della calotta del Vatnajökull. In questo lago, come nel più famoso Jökulsárlón galleggiano iceberg provenienti dal ghiacciaio. La sua lingua glaciale si chiama Fjallsjökull.
Purtroppo la salute di questo ghiacciaio era evidentemente compromessa dal caldo anomalo. I torrenti erano in piena, gli esperti dicono che lo siano molto più del solito.
