Per caso l'altro giorno mi sono iscritto a 500px tramite il mio account google. Non volevo postare foto, ma mi sono ritrovato con l'account bell'è fatto. Di conseguenza mi sono messo a leggere il regolamento per quanto riguardo il copyright delle foto che pubblico. A dir poco deviante quello che c'è scritto. guardate qui.
Da un lato scrivono...
"Your photos will preserve whatever copyright they had before uploading to this site. We will protect the copyright and will not sell your photos without your permission."
e dall'altro, nel regolamento vero e proprio, dai l'autorizzazione a 500px per usare le tue foto senza pagare...
"Content Submitted Or Made Available For Inclusion On The Service
Please read this section carefully before posting, uploading, or otherwise submitting any Content to the site. By submitting content to the site you are granting 500px a worldwide, Non exclusive license to use the content and are representing and warranting to 500px That the content is owned or duly licensed by you, and that 500px is free to publish, Distribute and use the content as hereinafter provided for without obtaining permission Or license from any third party.

Notwithstanding this, 500px makes no representation and warranty that Content posted on the Site will not be unlawfully copied without your consent. 500px does not restrict the ability of users and visitors to the Site to make low resolution or ?thumbnail' copies of Content posted on the Site and you hereby expressly authorize 500px to permit users and visitors to the Site to make such low resolution copies of your Content; and
Subject to the terms of the foregoing license, you retain full ownership or other rights in your Content and any intellectual property rights or other proprietary rights associated with your Content.
You represent and warrant that:
You are the owner of all rights, including all copy rights in and to all Content you submit to the site;

"L'uso delle foto senza pagare" è riferito al fatto che possono essere condivise sui social, o usate dal team di 500px per pubblicità propria, ovviamente riportando il fotografo o linkandolo. Non che arriva tizio e la prende per farci pubblicità. Esattamente come facebook, per cui il copyright è tutelato |

Direi che con questo passaggio ti tutela: "you retain full rights to those works that you had prior to uploading".
Successivamente dice che possono riutilizzare le tue foto citando l'autore: "Content is attributed to you in accordance with the credits".

Se metti una foto su 500px la stai pubblicando, è ovvio che loro debbano avere il consenso da parte tua, dovrebbe averlo anche Juza per le foto che carichi sulla gallery visto che è pubblica. Inoltre se leggi bene si parla di distribuzione e non di vendita. |

La licenza si puó impostare a proprio piacimento, io per esempio uso Flickr, la licenza sulle mie foto é: Creative Commons: Attribuzione - Non commerciale - Non opere derivate

Forse non ci siamo capiti:

Questo per me significa che do gratis a 500px l'utilizzo della mia foto e senza riportare fotografo o linkare chissacchi'. Quando le foto sono utilizzate al di fuori di 500px, allora devono riportare il nome del fotografo.
E' ovvio che qualsiasi altra cosa, il copyright rimane mio...ci mancherebbe! |

Per me questo si riferisce al solo utilizzo su 500px e piattaforme varie di condivisione (tipo foto del giorno nella pagina di facebook di 500px).
Per un utilizzo extra viene giustamente riportato l'autore e relativo copyright. |

Senza chiedere nulla a terze parti (ovverosia che sei l'unico proprietario dei diritti). |

Non si parla di facebook o che altro. Si parla di utilizzo. Mi pare sia abbastanza chiaro. |
