Hi, I recently found an old Nikon D100 from my father, he used to use two 64mb CF cards each, but now so little space is not enough and I don't know how to read the photos without buying an adapter, so I bought a CF to SD adapter on Amazon, and ordered a Samsung 256 GB SD, do you think it should work or not? Thank you all

Don't buy it... I think that card can't be recognized by the camera...
If you have installed the firmware 2.0 on your D100 the camera will use FAT32 format and may take cards up to 4GB
Buy a 4Gb CF card from Amazon (you can store around 400 NEF files and almost twice as JPG) they are cheap.
(Tried a 8Gb card on my D100 and the maximum of NEF that can be stored is 371... hence the camera can't use half of the available space... then tried a 4Gb card and it can store 402 NEF... so the 4GB is the way to go...)

I can't say.
Maybe the camera can read the card... but I'm almost sure that it can't "see" all that "room" (you will be limited to less than 400 pics of storage)
If you already get the CF>SD adapter, go look for a 4Gb SD card... I think it will be the best choice.
Any size over 4Gb it will be useless.

Agree with Lorenzo: Anything over 4Gb will likely not be recognised or not function properly. Also I'd be wary of CF-SD adapters in general, as more often than not they're cheaply made and prone to overheating and malfunctioning. IMHO your best bet is a decent 4Gb CF (they're still around and cost next to nothing).

Hi, the Nikon D100 can safely accept a 1GB Compact Flash over I don't think (I have had it for a year) and I advise you to use only Compact Flash without SD adapter

Emanuel, I'm currently using mine with a 2Gb CF and I've tested it with a 4Gb and it works flawless...
Despite the chapter "Approved Memory Cards" as seen on the camera manual (page 183)
The only drawback could be a little slower formatting process (on camera)
