Sony ha reso disponibile il firmware 2.0 per Sony A7III e A7rIII: tra le novità più impotanti c'è la possibilità di utilizzare tutte le modalità AF anche con le ottiche adattate; inoltre, l'autofocus ora permette di scegliere se mettere a fuoco direttamente al diaframma selezionato oppure a tutta apertura.

Adds support for the SEL400F28GM and SEL24F14GM lenses
Optimizes the optical image stabilization performance.
For the SEL400F28GM lens only, adds support for new image stabilization mode (Mode 3) of the lens
Adds the Function Ring(Lens) feature to the to the Camera Settings2 menu.
Note: For the SEL400F28GM lens only, the Function Ring(Lens) feature has a power focus function, which allows you to assign one of the following to the Function Ring(Lens): Power-assisted Focusing (Power Focus), or switching the angle of view between Full Frame and APS-C/Super 35 mm.
Adds the Aperture Drive in AF setting to the Camera Settings1 menu.
Note: When using either the SEL400F28GM or SEL24F14GM lens, when Silent Priority is selected, the sound emitted by the aperture drive will be reduced. This is useful in shooting conditions where camera noise should be kept to a minimum, though the Auto Focus may become slower when Silent Priority is selected.
New features:
Adds AF Track Sens as a selectable option for custom key settings.
Adds support for Zone, Expand Flexible Spot, and Lock-on AF focus areas when using the LA-EA3 mount adaptor.
Note: Focus Area options added : Zone, Expand Flexible Spot, and Lock-on AF.
Bracket shooting is available during silent shooting when [File Format] is set to [RAW] or [RAW & JPEG] and [RAW File Type] is set to [Uncompressed] .
Other improvements:
Improvement of the performance and the overall stability of the camera.
Better reproduction of the gradation of RAW pictures.
Note: Imaging Edge software needs to be updated to benefit from the improvement in the RAW processing.
Improves dimming stability under flicker light conditions.
Improves managing continuously shot images as a group

Sono rimasti arretrati, io lo faccio da tempo con la A7Rii ( in manual focus  ) anzi, io metto a fuoco a scelta fra f/2.8 e f/5.6 e poi scatto a f/6.3
A parte gli scherzi, anch' io penso che sia una funzione molto utile . |

è vero, ho controllato sul sito Sony ed è del 10-10-2018, Dpreview e altri siti l'avevano messo in home come news di oggi così ho girato anch'io la segnalazione sul forum ;-)

Another stand-out feature added in the updated firmware is 'Aperture Drive in AF'. This offers two options for aperture behavior during focusing in AF-S: 'Standard' opens the aperture up (up to F2) for focus acquisition, while 'Silent Priority' always forces the camera to focus at your shooting aperture to minimize the sound of the aperture opening during focus acquisition.

Quelli di Sony hanno fatto un bel casino, il nuovo firmware dovrebbe essere il 2.2 del 1° Dicembre, fino alle 12.10 sul sito .it davano ancora il 2.2, stiamo in attesa degli sviluppi. |
