Condivido con voi il mio ultimo lavoro di questa quinta stagione di caccia ai temporali nelle Grandi Pianure americane, realizzare un timelapse in 16 giorni di caccia frenetica non è mai facilssimo, percorriamo anche mille chilometri in girono (176 ore di guida in 16 giorni), le soste sono rapide e veloci a bordo strada, le location non sono studiate, ma con la passione e l'impegno si riesce a farcela. Make a timelapse in 15 days of chase is not something easy, you have to make is short, you have have to use the 90% of your clips even when the scene is not so beautiful, but that shows that's not impossible! With an extremely hard work of post production in LRTimelapse, Lightroom CC and After Effects CC and after tens of hours of rendering, this is my final result. For many days I used Pluto trigger and slow SD cards to shot my sequences with the Sony A7RIII, when finally I realized my clips have some issues: I don't know if it was Pluto, or SD cards or both, but all my clips started with a regular speed and they suddenly accelerate, so I had to change SD cards and switch from Pluto to a remote trigger with 399 shots limit to fix the problem. Once at home I have to render those sequences as the are, with two different speeds, then find the right second when they accelerate, make a cut there there and speed up the first part a the same speed of the second part...that was an hard work! I rendered all the clips in 8K resolution, so make some zoom/pan effect in Premire CC and then render the final video in 4K UHD, but first I had to make another hard work in After Effects CC: dust removal, with hours and hours of rendering! This story tells that make a timelapse is always possible if you have passion, patience and inventiveness, even with few days on the fields, even with some issues and even with some hard post production process, it is possible and I am happy I finally made it!
