E' appena uscito il firmware 1.0.2 per il pankacchio.
Changes
Firmware Version 1.2.0 addresses the following phenomenon.
1. If pressure is applied to the lens barrel while the lens is mounted to the camera (pressure can be applied even while attaching the lens cap or while carrying the camera with the lens attached in a bag), the autofocusing function of the lens may stop working.
Firmware Version 1.2.0 is for lenses with Firmware Version 1.1.0. If the lens' firmware is already Version 1.2.0, it is not necessary to update the firmware.
The lenses with the following serial numbers are equipped with Firmware Version 1.1.0:
The third digit in the serial number is either 0, 1, or 2 (xx0xxxxxxx, xx1xxxxxxx, or xx2xxxxxxx).
Lenses with serial numbers other than those listed above are equipped with Firmware Version 1.2.0.
<Cautions>
- If an extension tube, is attached to the lens, the firmware may not be successfully updated, so make sure that you detach the extender or extender tube before the firmware is updated.
- A supported camera* is required for the firmware update.
Cameras that can be used for the firmware update:
Canon EOS-1D X, Canon EOS 5D Mark III (*), or Canon EOS Kiss X6i/REBEL T4i/650D
* When using a Canon EOS 5D Mark III for the firmware update, please make sure to update the camera's firmware to Version 1.1.3 or later. If a Canon EOS 5D Mark III equipped with Firmware Version 1.1.2 or earlier is used, the lens may stop working.
Customers who do not own any of the cameras listed above, but wish to have the firmware of their lenses updated, are asked to contact our service centers.

After the downloaded compressed file (.zip) is extracted, a firmware folder is created.
*Extracting the downloaded file: Right-click the zip file, and then select Extract All to extract the file. The extracted folder contains the firmware (file name: EF005120.LFU / file size: 1,441,844 bytes) and instructions on the firmware update procedures (a PDF file in five languages: Japanese, English, French, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese).
Before starting the firmware update operations, please confirm the contents of the download and carefully read through the firmware update procedures.

.... ..ma sono stato l'unico sf...to che gli si è inceppato il pankakkio??
nessun juzaforumista a provato ad aggiornare il firmware con una 5dIII?
..mi sà che lo porto a peschiera...anche se il problema mi è sinceramente capitato una sola volta in tutte le volte
che lo ho adoperato!
per il resto..è veramente una piccola grande ottica!

Così per sapere, c'è qualcuno che ha comprato il pancake MOLTO di recente e sa dirci se acquistando adesso è già installato il nuovo firmware? Visto che pare siano andati a ruba e i magazzini si siano esauriti presto, può darsi che ormai in vendita ci siano solo obiettivi con il nuovo firmware. Questo non aiuta chi ha acquistato l'obiettivo in passato, ma tranquillizzerebbe chi lo vuole acquistare adesso.
L'aggiornamento presso un centro di assistenza è gratuito, ovviamente? |

VACCA TROJA!!!!!!!!!!
Il mio pancacchio era di quelli con FW vecchio.. ho deciso di aggiornare, la mia 5D3 aveva l'ultimo FW quindi .. OK .. almeno in teoria.
Ho iniziato ed il processo, arrivato al 60% si e' piantato, dopo 10 minuti che non si muoveva piu' ho tolto la batteria.
Alla riaccensione la fotocamera rileva il FW della lente corrotto e chiede di aggiornarlo, OK, riproviamo.. stessa cosa!!
Riscarico il FW, lo riscompatto su una scheda diversa, riprovo.. 70% e stop.
Avro' riprovato ad aggiornare la lente 10 volte, si pianta sempre tra il 60% ed il 70%.. ho provato anche a ri-aggiornare la 5D3 riscaricando il FW dal sito Canon, aggiornamento FW macchina OK, aggiornamento FW lente...NO.
Stasera provero' da casa con il Mac, riscarichero' la versione questa volta per Mac e riprovero'..
Ma cavolo, ho aggiornato FW di mezzo mondo, dai pixel king alla centralina dell'auto.. mai un problema, proprio adesso col pancacchio comprato 3 giorni fa?? CHE DOS COJONES. |

GRANDE CANONRUMORS, PER UNA VOLTA DAVVERO UTILE!!!!!!!!!!!
Googolando in giro per trovare una possibile soluzione al problema di cui al post precedente, mi sono imbattuto nel post seguente (ne forum di canonrumors):

Quindi ho cancellato nel menu della 5D3 (accesa senza lente) le informazioni relative alle due batterie che avevo registrato, spenta, montata la lente, riaccesa ed eseguito l'aggiornamento FW senza alcun problema!!
Pancacchio salvo e funzionante con FW 1.2.0!!

*1 If the "Battery Info." on the menu screen is checked right before performing the firmware update, the update operation may fail. If the battery information is checked, turn off and on the power before performing the firmware update. If the update fails, please remove and reinsert the battery then perform the firmware update again.
*2 The firmware update operation may fail if updating the firmware under any of the following conditions:
a) The camera's (EOS 5D Mark III) firmware version is Version 1.1.2 or earlier.
Update the camera's firmware to Version 1.1.3 or later first, before performing the lens firmware update.
b) The battery information (EOS 5D Mark III) is registered in the camera
Delete all the registered information first, turn off and on the power, and then perform firmware update.
If the firmware update operation fails, remove the battery and lens. Insert just the battery into the camera (without attaching the lens). Power on the camera and if you are using an EOS 5D Mark III, confirm that the firmware version of the camera is 1.1.3 or later and there is no battery information registered in the camera. After confirming the above two conditions, attach the lens and perform the firmware update again.
Customers who do not own any of the cameras listed above, but wish to have the firmware of their lenses updated, are asked to contact our service centers. |
