C'è una ragione tecnica per questa stranezza? La lentezza del movimento di correzione, magari? Certo che se ogni volta bisogna inserirlo disinserirlo è una bella limitazione!
Per il VC ho letto su fredmiranda e dpreview che alcuni hanno un difetto del VC che causa il disinserimento per tempi di scatto tra 1/50 e 1/60 non sempre a volte quando il vr è stato disinserito per un po' di tempo.
Il problema sembra risolvibile in questo modo:
I had the same issue on two copies of the Tamron but then stumbled onto a solution. I wrote about it a few years ago:
VC "break-in" issue and "fix" Both copies exhibited an out-of-box phenomena where the vibration-control doesn't work properly initially. The symptom was two-fold: 1) When the VC first engages the images shifts dramatically, much more than the typical Tamron-VC shift and certainly more than a Nikon VR lens. There is an initial large shift followed a few quick shorter shits. It takes about a second before the shifting stops. 2) The VC doesn't actually yield any stabilization when it exhibits symptom #1. Photos taken with VC on are just as-blurry and many times more blurry than with VC off. It appears the large shift that occurs when VC is engaged is leaves the floating element positioned so that it can't supply any stabilization.
On my first copy the lens exhibited the above symptoms for the first hour and then suddenly the symptom disappeared and the VC started working as advertised. I surmised the VC elements must have needed some nudging to either wear-in or position them correctly. Just a wild guess at this point. When I realized the second copy had the same issue even after 15 minutes of use I expedited this "wear in" by entering Live View on my D800, which has full-time AF and so the VC stays engaged. I let the IS stay on for about two minutes, after which the VC worked properly.
Once the VC is working properly, I'm able to achieve sharp photos down to 1/10 hand-held on both my D800 and D3s about 70% of the time @ 70mm. On my D5100 I can achieve sharp photos at the same percentage at 1/10 as well, even though the effective focal length is .5x more. The lens is rated at 4-stops of VC but that would mean 1/4 second on FF, which becomes too slow without some type of physical support, like leaning against a wall.
As a follow-up to the above, I notice the lens will revert to the original behavior if I haven't used it for a few weeks. Repeating the Live View procedure returns it back to the "fixed" state.
Posso dire la mia sul Tamron 24 70 ? E' un bell'obiettivo ma ha un difetto che mi ha convinto venderlo solo dopo un mese; la messa a fuoco automatica va in tilt non appena la luce cala. Io l'ho testato con tre Nikon D7100-D7200 e D750 e in tutte il problema è venuto fuori.
Il primo 24-70 acquistato nel settembre 2014 (matr. 63xxx) presentava problemi nella maf (Capotriumph ne è al corrente ed in quel frangente mi è stato molto d'aiuto ) mi è stato sostituito da Polyphoto in tempi relativamente brevi. L'attuale (matr. 85xxx) direi che si comporta benissimo sia al (quasi)buio che con il lo stabilizzatore .
Aggiornamento: arrivato il nuovo e testato a modi NASA... Quest'esemplare e' perfetto, a parte una minima staratura b/f che ho regolato in 2 minuti.
Dai test su treppiede (f 2,8-5,6-8) il confronto col vecchio e' impietoso: ai bordi estremi non fa' urlare al miracolo, ma almeno ora non presenta nessuna zona penosa.
Curioso come ora il VR faccia un piccolo sobbalzo una volta acceso e come garantisca almeno uno stop di sicurezza in piu' del "vecchio" (prova empirica 5 + 5 scatti)
Detto questo, son stato profondamente deluso da Tamron e/o dal suo controllo qualita': su un esemplare VR e disallineamento sono 2 problemi ingiustificabili per una lente PRO da 1000 euro.
Se non mi avesse "salvato" Amazon.it, avrei dovuto pure spendere per il via-vai, apettare 1 o 2 mesi la riparazione e trovarmi un obbiettivo rattoppato.
