“ Però, c'è da dire, che l'af cinque volte più prestante si vede tutto „
In effetti... se poi l'avesse anche usato l'AF lo sapremmo con certezza.
A valutare i cambi di fuoco direi che era in manuale. Soprattutto perché un paio di volte è andato corto (e spesso è "tonto" il fuoco).
Inoltre ha usato in alcune scene dei vecchi FD con Metabones. Mi sembra uno che sa il fatto suo e affidarsi all'AF con un Metabones è da sprovveduti.
Però è sempre figo buttarla in caciara, vero Simgen?
(Ma quando impariamo che l'AF non si usa nel video?).
Questo è ciò che dice l'autore per il momento e non menziona AF:
“ The film was shot entirely on the GH6. We had to brave some brutal (if not slightly treacherous) conditions. In doing so, shooting this piece I have genuinely put the camera through the ultimate test. Storm force winds, torrential rain, hail, angry seas and sea spray by the tonne. Of course the GH6 took it all in its stride, and managed it like an absolute boss. Speaks for itself!
It was a lot of fun to produce. Very wet. Very cold. Pretty miserable and borderline savage at times. Working in these conditions is seriously hard work. But fun all the same.
As well as this short film, I have a little 'hands on' video coming shortly. Those that follow my channel will know I'm not really one for doing in depth camera reviews or scientific tests. I prefer to just get out there and make stuff, to learn what it can do that way. I thought some of you might still be interested to hear my thoughts in that regard; some of the key things that are important to me as a filmmaker, what I think about it all, my real world experience using the GH6 over the last couple of weeks including this film. So if that might be of interest to you, be sure to subscribe so you don't miss it!
SPOILER ALERT: I love this camera. Of course I do. And it was genuinely a real treat using it to produce this. But I'll tell you all about that in a few days. Stay tuned!

“ The IBIS is witchcraft. It has to be. The 6 is a step up all round, IBIS included. Shooting this completely handheld in storm force winds, at up to 100mm, kinda speaks for itself. DR is impressive too, especially in the boost mode. Very clever system.
Yes I will be using the GH6 in professional work. In terms of the price tag, I honestly can't think of anything else out there that's better value for money. In my opinion there's nothing that comes close to this level of performance, specs, features and output, at that price point.
It's one thing judging something on paper, but often the real world experience is very different. I'm genuinely blown away by the 6 and honestly not sure how they've done it for around 2K. Madness. „
EDIT: trovato un commento di risposta sull'AF... conferma che non usa l'AF!
“ Cheers Allen. I'm really not the best guy to ask about AF to be honest as I'm fully manual all the way. Rarely use AF, if ever. I did try it though, out of curiosity more than anything else and to me, it looks like a significant improvement. „
