Tamron ha annunciato lo sviluppo del Tamron 20-40mm f/2.8 Di III VXD, uno zoom grandangolare eccezionalmente compatto e leggero: 86mm di lunghezza e 365 grammi di peso. Sarà disponibile nei prossimi mesi per mirrorless Sony FE.

(President & CEO: Shiro Ajisaka), a leading manufacturer of optics for diverse applications, announces the development of the 20-40mm F/2.8 Di III VXD (Model A062), a fast-aperture standard zoom lens for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras. However, due to the current global health crisis, the release date or product supply schedule could change.
Overview of the 20-40mm F/2.8 Di III VXD (Model A062) features
The 20-40mm F2.8, TAMRON's latest innovation, is an unparalleled new fast-aperture standard zoom lens that can be easily carried around for everyday shooting for both still images and video. Designed for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras, the lens was created in aggressive pursuit of portability that is ideal for everyday use. Starting from 20mm at the ultra wide-angle end and covering up to 40mm in the standard focal range, it is the smallest and lightest in its class1. The 20-40mm F2.8 delivers beautiful images across the entire zoom range and is great for still photography and for creating vlogs and other video content. The lens incorporates TAMRON's VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive), an AF drive system using the linear motor focus mechanism. The VXD boasts superior quietness and agile performance and achieves high-speed and high-precision autofocus. With an MOD (Minimum Object Distance) of just 0.17m (6.7 in) and maximum magnification ratio 1:3.8 at the wide end, the lens provides exceptional close-range shooting capability, offering the added feature of wide macro photography.

Meanwhile at the wide end, the ultra-wide 20mm focal length lets users enjoy a broad range of photography including stunning and powerful natural landscapes that make use of the unique ultra wide-angle perspective, something that cannot be expressed as readily with a fast-aperture standard zoom lens that starts at 24mm.

A giudicare dalla foto non direi che sarà a zoom interno. |

Dalla foto però la focale è a 40mm e il barilotto non è uscito. magri esce leggermente e rientra alla focale corta. |

Questa (ma anche un 16-35) ed il 50-400 sono un bel kit definivo. |

A chi è rivolto questo obbiettivo?
Immagino sia principalmente per chi si occupa di vlog e di street, visto che forse per un paesaggista potrebbe risultare non abbastanza ampio (anche se non è facile gestire aperture sotto i 20 mm, lameno per me). |

Se avrà una buona resa in infrarosso lo sostituirò al 17-28, lato wide i 20 sono assolutamente ok e preferisco di gran lunga arrivare a 40 dall'altra parte, soprattutto in viaggio. Al massimo lo si accoppia ad un UW compatto da usare solo in caso di necessità. |

Dipende, la focale è scelta in base a cosa fotografi, io per lo più scatto col 70-200 i paesaggi. Ma anche un 24-70. |

Per me sarebbe l'ideale ad esempio per foto di viaggio, luminoso, largo quando serve e quanto basta, tropicalizzato.
Magari da portare con uno zoom lungo e sei a cavallo (70-200).

Avrei preferito un 18-35mm f2-2.8 (anche un 16-35 f2.8 "classico") stile fratellone maggiore cosi da avere un pò più di ultrawide, ma anche cosi non è affatto male.
Plauso a Tamron che con le ultime lenti ha tirato fuori "piccoli" capolavori!
Altra alternativa super valida che mi sarebbe piaciuto avere: 20-50mm 2.8... sarebbe stato la perfezione!  |

Qualcuno sa in che cosa consista esattamente questo “TAMRON Lens Utility™ software for Focus Ring Function Setting”? Per caso si può impostare il focus ring per il diaframma come sui Samyang? |

Anche io, hai tempi ho usato spesso il 18-35 Nikon per la comodità dell'escursione focale. |
