Pros: Little or nothing but the price

Cons: Construction quality, af.

Opinion: Purchased at the dawn of my photographic experience, but used very little. It's really hard to get noteworthy photos out. It is clear, however, that for that price we cannot expect who knows what photographic quality. A lot, a lot of plastic that gives the touch a poor feeling. The lack of stabilization will make it difficult to take home shots of moving subjects which is a bit frustrating. I found it useful only in the portrait field where it gave some small satisfaction. AF also underperforming. To buy if you want to practice with low-priced pushes, but if you enter this photo segment you will surely veer on to something else. Already the stabilized Tamron itself is something else, but it also costs more than twice as much.

Pros: good paperweight

Cons: weight comparable to the same focal points but with stabilization, low light, slow autofocus and noisy engine, plastic everywhere, chromatic aberrations and vignettes at every focal and every opening

Opinion: this was in my spite my first reflex lens, purchased in 2005 new and used on Canon 3000N first and then on 1000D and 90D, it never satisfied me, indeed I was always disappointed, the project I find old and pasty, brightness absent at every opening and every focal point, not to mention its autofocus engine , slow with ring and very noisy and not precise engine, the weight then is a record thing to be a plasticone, for some years now I have been using it as a paperweight since it is the only possible and common sense use that this optics can have

Pros: Interesting goal, unsurpassed price quality.

Cons: Considering the price nothing relevant.

Opinion: I bought this lens for Canon, using it on my Sony 6500 with the adapter. Results achieved more than I would have expected, managing to shoot at very low times thanks to the stabilization of Sony that manages to stabilize even the goal. An excellent combination for the owners of the stabilized Sony and for the icing also the macro and five years warranty offered by the house by registering. bought on Amazon 134€.

Pros: Price, semi functionality - macro, focal range both APS - C and FF

Cons: af performance but especially in AF it is not possible to adjust the focus manually.

Opinion: I bought this lens when I started photographing, I used it mainly for birdlife and macro seeds but it was always she who introduced me to landscape detail photography. In fact, its focal range, once mounted on APS - C, becomes such as to allow you to approach bird life, but still allows you to approach a kind of inspired landscape photography. Compared to a 70- 300 Nikon or Canon, which cost 400 euros more than mine, the cheap Tamron sins in some things. First of all there is no stabilizer, in fact at 450 mm equivalent you can not go below 1/500 of a second and also it is also very difficult to frame the scene well with all those vibrations. Then we have the achromatic essence, which at 300 mm f5.6 makes itself felt enough, so much so that I immediately noticed, despite being inexperienced. The construction is very plastic, but is acceptable everywhere except in the AF/MF switch. Precisely the latter is the worst flaw of the goal, in fact being the AF rightly very slow (but sometimes precise) being able to adjust the fire manually would have totally changed the experience of use, especially in bird life. While as far as the photographic look is concerned, the price difference for me is not justified. The photos coming out of this glass are not of high quality, but at good f8, acceptable if at 300 mm. Personally with this lens I took some of the photos I like the most, including a jay with prey, taken at 450 mm equivalent, high ISO and f5.6, which stands out for colors and shades. I sold it when I bought the Tamron 70 - 200 2.8 LD, but I regret it, in fact it is a good alternative to the latter when I need to mount on FF a lens that allows me to cover the entire landscape in the medium to long focal on some excursions.

Pros: Price, weight, good sharpness, well-defined colors, natural, precise autofocus, not very fast but I saw worse

Cons: missing stabilization, requiring steady hand

Opinion: For the price it costs is not a good lens but great, if you can photograph photos more than satisfying, bearded to the rich people who like to get taken out of the pockets of small tickets to make often very modest photos. At 300mm I made more than decent photos and if you really want to overdo it or you have the hand shaking, a good easel and you have fun. My Nikon D700 didn't get crushed at all and my arm, it certainly benefited.

Pros: Phantasmagoric preZZo from new for the product, lightness, friendly use.

Cons: Except for the bayonet, plastic dominates unchallenged.

Opinion: At this price, it's no wonder you don't have knockout optics on your hands. But it's also true that Tamron's nearest upgrade makes the wallet open three times, so I think the quality research talk is avoidable, but reading some comments it seems that the company has produced total crap, but it is not. Then, just look at the photos taken below, to get an idea, of how important are the active neurons of the taker of the photo, of the euros paid for the lens that will reflect our image. Personally I am satisfied by the use that I make especially on the track for Formula One, where in Monte Carlo in principal mode, I find myself shooting in often prohibitive conditions (in the midst of the people, among the protective nets, transennial, in the middle of the bushes on the hill, among the moorings of the yachts) and I must have a light equipment, easily maneuverable and free of supercazzole and that if even takes a shot , all right anyway, because the blow doesn't make him take it to me... The speed of zooming is not great but it is also true that in these years of photos lost at the end of the accounts were few, the brightness will not be excellent, but I repeat in my case I often shoot in the time range from 12.00 to 15.00 and those times I used it for some portraits from afar, it did not behave so bad as to shout at the scandal. A plus is definitely the possibility of the Macro option, I have used it a few times, but it is pleasant and already at a meter it is appreciated... I have a picture of a hornet at the Aeolians for example.

Pros: Poor lens goal. They are sold at an affordable price.

Cons: Scary, indecent mechanics. slow and difficult focus, when it works and that is very rarely.

Opinion: I bought two of these goals, completely the same , I paid them a discreet price, but they are completely useless. Despite a repair they are equally at the same level ie do not go into focus . I'm going to throw them in the trash can which is their ideal location. It seems absurd to me that they build things like that.

Pros: Price and lightness.

Cons: Nothing (with such a performance/price ratio).

Opinion: Absolutely exceptional lens at such a price. Bought new with 5 years of original Polyphoto warranty and free UV filter, from Conti Supplies a few years ago to 109 euros. Very pleasant to use for its lightness and versatility also as a macro. It always gives more than dignified images in any context (as long as you are able to photograph it is obvious). Mounted on Pentax KS-1 (APS-C 20MP) gives a light and powerful set. I've printed 30x45 and 50x70 magnificagnions on ultralight material (Piuma) and classic 30x45 prints on truly spectacular Fuji photo paper, with minimal postproduction. Viva Tamron!!

Pros: it's cheap! (end of pros)

Cons: Almost everything...

Opinion: I marvel at how an industry like TAMRON persists in producing and selling a bad lens like this. Handling it feels like you're dealing with a toy camera! Built entirely of plastic (very light) apart from the bayonet which is aluminum (neancho milled well!). Apart from this which could be a personal opening, the quality of the photos is really poor: sharpness under the sufficiency at all openings; sci-fi chromatic rendering with absurd colors when compared to the real; autofocus to forget, even in optimal light conditions; difficult manual focus, due to the approximate construction of the dial, which suffers from very large yolths; macro function not to even consider. Overall it barely adds enough for the price that is toy. From my point of view it can only be purchased to match the cheapest sLLrs to use in those situations where there is a real risk of losing equipment.

Pros: Price: Low from new, very low to be used. Also made excellent with closed diaphragm. "Macro" factor: allows to approach the subject decently at about 1 metre. Frankly great value for money despite the limits. Bokeh not excelled, but valid.

Cons: Softess up to about F 7.1 and many low contrast photos-"velate" (often fixable in Post), not stabilized, AF not always reliable, solid results only in relatively stringent conditions, or with the tripod. Some aberrations (usually correctable).

Opinion: Bought used at ridiculous price in 2010 and then resolute a few months later, when I could afford the Nikkor 28-300 VR, which makes it completely unnecessary coexistence. It is a rather humble lens but not even a total "Vetraccio" as they would like different sources. Used in optimal conditions (alas stringent) by also some excellent results. From 1 to 10 in short I'm 6 and a half/7 stretched you can give it realistically. Vote turned up a lot by the value for money. You have to know what you get, "clear covenants, long friendship." It's dark. It's slow. Has aberrations. It is soft and a little "veed" (the image however responds well to the post) up to about F 7.1. Towards F10 the sharpness is optimal, and, perhaps helping with suitable sharpening in post, little distinguishable (unless microscopy or useless obtainment with pixel-peeping) from higher-ranking lenses. But behold, we are talking about F 7.1/10 on unstabilized 70-300 lens. The Autofocus generally goes, but there are uncertainties, series with little light. It's nice to shoot a little less than a meter from the subject, simulating a "macro". But good luck to make it sharp unless you are full light, with minimum 1/640 to 300 mm if no tripod... Bottom Line: If you find used to type 50-80 euro, if you do not already have a top tele, if you have a well-usable SLR up to 6400 ISO (including) or if you always use tripod, it is to be taken on the fly. Tamron itself now makes things vastly better, at relatively low price.

Pros: Light and very good value for money (on used)

Cons: All compromises of an economic perspective

Opinion: I came to this lens a bit by accident, I had found an old Nikkor AF 70-210 f4-5.6 that I needed to travel light. The Nikkor was more than honest and suited to my purpose: to get decent pictures on FF and DX without having to go around with the supermarket trolley. Unfortunately, my specimen was slightly offset with its focus issues at the sides of the frame. I had to return it and look for a similar substitute. Ken Rockwel was talking about this 70-300 lens as the Tamron-labeled version of the Nikkor AF 70-300 f4-5.6 and see: Http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/70300af.htm an optic that was once incensed perhaps for that ' magic ' and that marketing had stamped on Barrel. If the two lenses were actually the same I do not know how to say, even if mechanically they resemble a lot (side note: Contrary to what is written in the data sheet it is an autofocus-AFS-, therefore compatible with the Nikon series 3xxx and 5xxx). The fact is that after the comparative tests between the Tamron 70-300 and a second 70-210 and... in front of the evidence of a quality widely higher at least up to 210 I chose the Tamron 70-300 for the astronomical figure of 70 euro (obviously used). Well... I was not mistaken, my specimen is more than satisfactory at least up to 200, with a heavy drop in sharpness at 300mm which becomes a focal point of fallback, and consider that I say this with a wide use of ' pro ' optics behind it. It is small and light, it does not feel inside the backpack and diaphragm at F8 between 70 and 200 provides images satisfactory enough on D7200 and D800, especially if made with good light; If you have to use it with little light and low contrasts unfortunately do not expect decent results because at full aperture provides nebulous and little contrasted images. I recommend it to those who want to integrate their basic kit, composed of the classic 18-55, to experience the longest focal length without spending much (but first test it to verify that it is actually good). For those like me using it as a travel lens: Attention: This is a fallback optic, that is to say, when it is essential to limit weights and dimensions; Otherwise I recommend you to use more. Rated 8-(for value for money-if used-) if I were to only evaluate the image quality I would say 7 and a half at F8 and 6-full aperture

Pros: Exceptional value for money

Cons: Not excellent sharpness, slow and noisy autofocus

Opinion: I believe this zoom lens needs to be contextualized. With just over 100 € we bring home a zoom with a focal length of 70 - 300 with autofocus and Macro. Given the negligible cost, it is normal to have to take into account some limitations, such as a not exceptional sharpness especially around 300mm, or an autofocus anything but immediate (but quite accurate). rnWith a little 'commitment and practice you can get very good results, you need fast shutter speeds, steady hand and a lot of patience! rnChi wants to expand its photographic possibilities finds in this lens an excellent compromise between quality and price!

Pros: Price

Cons: Clear lens limitations and lack of stabilization.

Opinion: I bought this lens because with 110 € I took a 70-300mm with macro function already knowing that the quality was low medium. After a few months of use I have to say that if used with some cautiousness can give shots for nothing wrong.rnused with tripod and with diaphragms not too open gave me some satisfaction.rnOr for a few days I'm using it coupled with extension pipes to make macros and I am having fun. The manual focus finds it quite comfortable.

Pros: value (any counter is "justified"), zoom range, good for beginners low budget, with post production you get decent pictures.

Cons: chromatic aberrations, making slow and noisy fire, decent sharpness only Aperture closed

Opinion: We start from the price. 120 Euros or so for a 70-300mm 4 / 5.6 f, in photography are nothing, so any positive note you can draw out of this objective is definitely a point in its favor since the sore is prezzo.rnNota figure out what you can pull out of this lens. Not being stabilized, certainly it is "indicated" for camera bodies stabilized type sony, conversely the construction defects are amplified on non stabilizzati.rnDifetti main bodies are the focus, quite slow, so it is recommended for moving subjects study best settings and take time and burst in the "hope" that a good photo comes out. Present mostly chromatic aberrations at wide apertures, f8 up tend to disappear, but also a pleasant any "fuzzy" (however easily removed in post production when not excessive). The sharpness is what is, TA la.morbidezza is ensured, to 7.1 f, when there is good illumination improve cose.rnÈ a lens that surely must "study" to bring out the best, and that under certain conditions, "limps" type low light. Certainly better than the big brother that costs less than three times, however, for 120 Euros, with a little patience and post production sets they can come up photos "decent" that sometimes are similar to those made with less economic objectives. He recommended to amateurs with little money and few pretensions.

Pros: price / performance ratio - combines several functions - it may surprise you if used in the right conditions

Cons: embarrassing autofocus - dark - unsuitable for shots that require alertness

Opinion: I received a gift that goal when I was still the owner of my first APS-C, I state immediately that take confidence has not been easy, especially in the use of light conditions are not good but he was immediately very difficult, it exaggerated difficult to start slowly focus so much that I thought to a production error, so I began to try it in broad daylight, and things changed dramatically, in addition to being a decent telephoto in macro mode this lens gave me quite a few satisfactions making me closer to this kind hitherto unknown, the obvious overall yield in terms of chromatic correct sharpness and anything else is not record but with a "cleaned up" in phase of PP the results become more than acceptable. Also I discover only now that the goal is compatible with FF, on my current Canon EOS 5D Mark II things further improves so much that I decided to hold it and to this day, always with the lighting conditions and with a little ' patience to find the giusta distance and angle put in focus, is giving me remarkable shots especially in macro mode even at room temperature with a pleasant blur, and considering the price within the reach of every budget the final results are no less to be considered

Pros: Price

Cons: optical performance in general, color rendering, build quality, autofocus system

Opinion: Honestly, I can not grant him sufficiency. I have it for several years and now lies forgotten in a cassetto.rnNon consider relevant factors such as fluid or soft rings, which side turns the zoom ring or that of MAF or the like. The stabillizzatore there but it is not a fault, you know when you buy it. Same goes for the brightness: born "dark", if you want a f2.8 is the Sigma 120-300 waiting for you to 3000 Euros. The relevant facts are altri.rnI materials used to build would not even bad, but after a short time it takes the games that do escape the poetry, also to my broke the strap of the electrical connections between the ring nuts and servomechanisms (I was told to be a recurring trouble) .rnLe chromatic aberrations do not seem a real problem, but it is a tele ... RNLA front lens rotates, so the use of polarizers become mangy, but even this is marginale.rnLa optical performance is not good: colors are faded and not very saturated, more than 180-200 mm productionthere knead images and blurry even with remote shutter, mirror lock and tripod, below 200 mm is however not clear. I tried to compare the crop of photos taken with Sigma 18-200 (which is not a knife ...), better Sigma !! rnL'AF is slow, unreliable and inaccurate noisy. However it is not solely responsible for the unsatisfactory results: I tried to shoot from a tripod, with MAF manual in live-view display size 10x, nothing to do ... rnPenso that the only item of interest is the price: the only way to buy 300 mm to 100 euro is a drawing ruler ... but the 300 mm and its enlargement are the only thing that dà.rnCosta you little, but given the yield is better to save for a bit 'of time and buy big brother to 250-300 euro: there is just no comparison in all sensi.rnSe for once, one, you try to compare the results with those of a fixed or a high quality zoom, it completely changes point of view ... it ch and the costs are very different (yes and no, the SP VC model is less than 300 Euros ...) true that you can even do without a 300 mm ... true that with little more than the same money you buy a fixed vintage that goes manually, but good lenses ... RNA my view, a little purchase motivated: if you have a minimum of image quality ambition, one begins to regret immediately the shopping done.

Pros: Unbeatable value for money, with decent build quality.

Cons: Slow autofocus. Macro Selector somewhat cumbersome.

Opinion: Is to point out, first, an error in the optics is equipped with autofocus motor. I used this light on Nikon D40, D60 and D90; I put it aside after purchasing the D750 with optical top. I read someone complaining about the inability to use the photograph of bird life and I could not help but smile. It can not pretend to be the same performance of a subcompact SUV 4x4 off-road uphill. If the lens is used outdoors, not for shooting fast-moving, you can get good pictures; I have not succeeded. In different conditions the low light lens, autofocus slowness and lack of stabilization are felt. I think before making judgments ungenerous must remember what has been paid ... rn

Pros: Ridiculous price, excursion Focal, honest performance in controlled environments

Cons: AF slow, Dark, Yield over 200mm, macro button a little 'cumbersome

Opinion: Telephoto to buy unpretentious. The very low price makes it a lens suitable for those with a very low budget and is not intended to use it in difficult situations. APS-C, although it is only used in the center, there is a sample of optical quality: soft to TA, not a blade smaller apertures, aberrations present (but easily removed in post). Above 200mm loses a lot and knead a little 'details, best used as a 70-200 f4-5 with option 300 spare! The autofocus is perhaps one of the slowest in circulation, and quite noisy, but if you do not hurry and it relies on the central point the results are disappointing. Fairly large dial to focus, if you want to seize the moment may be more effective to focus manually. Not being very bright, nor stabilized, often forced to raise the ISO, even during the day, if you want to photograph freehand. The macro key has a cumbersome operation, but once they understand the logic does not create pMisbehaviour: you can switch between 180 and 300 mm, and allows a minimum focus of 0,95m (instead of 1.5m without activating it); as long as the focus is less than 1.5m, you can not unlock the key macro, and should therefore focuse at a greater distance in order to return to "normal" mode and zoom back under 180mm. Given the lack of clarity to the 300mm, it is convenient to use it as a goal "macro" between 180 and 200mm.rnIn conclusion, is a target with many limitations, that justify the low price, but which can be interesting to use unpretentious excellence in areas controlled and where you do not need great operational speed (landscape, still portraits, macro, use a tripod ...)

Opinion: I took that objective (?) Attracted by the price and guided by my little esperienza.Penso is pointless to dwell on the quality and yield of a lens that costs a little more than 100 euro.Più what else can I say it can be a very good start for those who are beginners, it is a lens that drives us to give the best of themselves and to know him more and more able to make some decent photos (which then gives great satisfaction: D). rnDal technical point of view I can confirm what was said by other users, the af is too imprecise (the noise is the least of the problems), when I use it always get up the ISO even in good light and a treppiede.rnDetto it is often necessary to be aware of the problems that go against buying it and know that with the same money you could buy yourself a used 35mm, filters, tripod, etc. etc.: D

Opinion: It 'was my first medium telephoto macro, I used it as an all-round pairing with a 18-55 on aps-c.Il motor focus is by no means fast and sometimes inaccurate, in macro mode does not excel because they do not capture well the parts to almost 1 meter. overall for what it costs is not bad.
