Pros: File quality, dynamic range, weight, size, tropicalization, battery life.

Cons: Operating System Speed

Opinion: After more than a year of use, I am very worried from the day I will have to change camera body. For me this is really the top in terms of balance in terms of mpx and file size, but above all quality. I bought it because the 24mp sensors were starting to tighten but I did not want the 61mpx of the rIV series and so I did this test, coming from a7iii. To date I would say that it is one of the best sensors ever produced by Sony, the files it churns out are perfect, the weight is not exaggerated as a 61mpx file and memory cards, but above all the storage space thanks. The main reason why I bought it as you can well deduce is precisely the perfect compromise of 43mp, which I hope will become a standard for smooth series. Doing exclusively landscape I can not express myself on the focus that for me is enough and advances as it is. The ISO seal for me is more than satisfactory, I shot at 6400iso without too many problems. The tropicalization is very reliable, I took it to extremes both in the mountains and during the storms, from which I literally came out soaked in salt water, and in one of which they were literally hit by a wave in full and the car did not do half a tantrum. Corrosion resistance is equally satisfactory if carefully cleaned after the most "extreme" sessions. As far as I'm concerned, it's the perfect camera for landscaping, as it has all the squares you look for in landscape photography, rows of excellent quality, dynamic range, but above all reliability both in terms of performance but above all in terms of resistance. The only cons is the operating speed. Often the files are in bufering for several seconds, especially if you go to bursts, even with high-performance memories. But what makes me turn up my nose is the slowness in the ignition, a few seconds elapse, and it could happen that in some unexpected situations you lose the shot. In addition, the message "working in NTSC" if they could also keep it for them since it loses additional seconds at the power on, it would be solved using the PAL but I need to keep the machine in NTSC.

Pros: Image quality, weight, versatility

Cons: High ISO hold, video compartment limitations, uncertainties focus at night, unclear menu

Opinion: It is a respectable mirrorless. Great construction, excellent quality of RAW files, almost always accurate AF and speed of execution make this camera a good travel companion. However, the limitations are met if you want to push yourself in the video department. The 5-axis stabilization is not that miraculous in fact the freehand videos are still very flickering. It is no coincidence that the most advanced Mirrorless and dedicated mainly to the video world have an additional digital stabilization function that is called "Active Mode" and that does small miracles (accepting a small crop). Limiting even 4k to just 30 frames per second. So no slow motion for those like me who are crazy. Working in nightclubs such as discos or following musical events I also found them limitations of tightness at high ISO. Noise, noise noise and just as much nervousness, nervousness, nervousness. It is true that on the plate I put more against than pro but I repeat that it is a really good camera and those who do not have the same needs as me will find in their hands a reliable travel companion and that can give great satisfaction.

Pros: Raw file quality, dynamic range, Af, operating speed, ISO yield, battery life, burst

Cons: menu

Opinion: Huge step forward compared to the a7r II. Incredibly fast considering the weight of the file it generates and has to handle. Dynamic range, resolution, colors and autofocus excellent. Very valid also in the video sector, knowing how to settle (it would seem that in video mode the file suffers from noise at high iso more than in photo mode, but this could be just my impression). The display and EVF are also a significant step up from the a7 III or a7r II. Compressed Raw seemingly indistinguishable from the "pure" one. If used for full-bodied work (marriage) the weight of the files becomes a real problem to be managed, but this is certainly not a defect attributable to the machine. As a result we are very close to a medium format, but with an operating speed of a medium/ high level mirrorless!

Pros: The "perfect" camera: Exceptional resolution, Excellent Af, interesting hold at high iso (despite being a 42mpx), good video compartment, Dynamic range and versatility in use. Great best buy for those who do not want too many MPX from modern and advanced models

Cons: Some uncertainty about the AF sector (especially in the Real Time track af.), the useless pixel shift and chaotic menus.

Opinion: You know, perfection is not of this world. But this camera is one of those that deserves the attention of pro photographers and super advanced amateurs. As a former owner of the sony a7R2 (great mirrorless but with many flaws), the sony a7RIII is the camera I was waiting for bringing those improvements that were missing in the r2, from aesthetics to decisive quality. Needless to say, four years after the announcement this ml is still the best in circulation and for what it offers it is an excellent best buy for resolution, price and versatility (in my case I take care of landscape, street, travel, documentary photography). It is true that there is also the R4 that offers much more than this model (more resolution and a bit of improved af), but who really needs 61mpx? Without offending anyone I think that with this you have a lot of fun, remembering that 42 mpx although they are many are perfect for image quality and dynamic range, but above all it has an excellent hold at high iso, sometimes I took even at 3200/6400 and the photo is usable at 1000x1000. If you know how to exploit it right, it gives you many joys. I conclude that 2 years after the purchase, the a7r3 personally is the "perfect" camera for my way of creating stories and today it is at "human" prices of what was launched. and with native optics (GM and G) or adapted fun and creativity is guaranteed...

Pros: AF, File Quality, Body, Battery Life

Cons: Menu (you know), maybe viewfinder

Opinion: I have this machine for a few months, passed by Fuji and Canon before. I think it was my worst experience in the study phase and knowledge of the menu (which basically is the step to do to get to know the machine). Let's say that after customizing the controls and my menu and understanding the various main functions regarding the AF and the shutter I reached a comfort-zone and I can take advantage of the machine more than pleasantly. Undoubtedly Canon and Fuji offer an experience from this point of view, more streamlined and intuitive. For the rest the body is really robust with the controls positioned in the right place. The sensor guarantees an excellent file, manageable and pleasant to develop. Actually the very large file, on high volumes, requires a pc of a certain level. I am satisfied with the possibility of taking advantage of equipment of which targets, flash and accessories, of third parties. Perhaps I would change it for an A9 for the presence of the additional ring for the rest I would call it DEFINITIVE.

Pros: AF, burst, image quality with a great sensor

Cons: Menu, small body, power button position, operational slowness, high ISO noise (but you knew), deformed edge viewfinder, lacks focus stacking, pixel shift useless

Opinion: I owned this camera for over 2 years, then I decided to sell it because despite having a great image quality I just couldn't find myself comfortable. A little for all the Sonys in this line I noticed the same problems, I always lacked that feeling that gives me the pleasure of taking photos. The power button then positioned that way more than once moved itself into the bag and I found myself with the camera off. The pixel shift is practically useless because it always creates ghosts, better the single image. In addition, the very contrasted and above all deformed viewfinder at the edges is not the best, looking inside and moving the eye towards the edges you notice a very strange effect. Ok now written so it looks like a camera to throw away and it's not so because everything else does it very well both photo side and video side of which I'm not an expert but I enjoyed shooting something.

Pros: Light body excellent focus for me is also very handy and excellent customization excellent colors

Cons: For the time being, no one

Opinion: Well what to say the use for services in the studio and weddings a body machine that did not make me regret the 850 and with art work in a wonderful way, when I switched to sony I had taken it immediately for naturalistic where I did not mind but the r4 with pixels and with the excellent yield in crop factor to make the r3 become a body for the Matrimonialist kit and in naturalistic use only in very few excellent moments the yield to high iso compliments to sony

Pros: File quality, dynamic range, ISO yield, AF, battery life

Cons: Complex menu, rear LCD

Opinion: I bought this camera after so much hesitation. I came from 6 years of Fujifilm X-T and then X-H and you can easily imagine that the early days were very frustrating starting from the "ease of use" that Fujifilm gets used to, immediacy and colors. On the other hand, however, I have to say that after two or three months of running-in, I am now satisfied with the choice that has been made. In the quality and malleability of the file compared to before there really is an abyss. The EVF viewfinder is on another world, the idem battery. Logically it is a different machine and needs very good and expensive optics but if photography is your job (or second job) I can confirm that the security that returns this machine is really worth all the money spent.

Pros: Files with excellent quality, dynamic range at the top, excellent ISO yield given the sensor density, very advanced customization possibilities (keys and rings), excellent ability to focus on backlight, good IBIS (5.5 stop), possibility to set ISOs at 50, really competitive price for the quality it offers. Machine dedicated, in particular, to landscapes, portraits posed and in the studio, travel reportage, ceremonies, laid birdlife, and architecture. One body for very heterogeneous genres.

Cons: The consistency of the AF, however good, is not in line with the latest competition (Canon R5 and R6), the AF area does not cover 100% of the frame, the point of non-colorable gray MAF is absurd, the sensor not protected by a curtain is, for my use, a little limiting, the Joystick is short, the lever is not perfect , the pusante AF-ON I preferred it slightly deeper, a better touch would have been comfortable, the rear LCD of the A7rII returns colors not pleasant and very far from those of the RAW file downloaded to the PC, the EVF is good but not great, very noisy shooting, writing time on the SD card (also UHS-II) long. Like all big MPXs, it needs valuable optics. Not particularly suitable for "dynamic" birdlife and sport.

Opinion: After these first two months of use I can draw up an initial assessment of this splendid machine. The first impression, taken in the hands of the A7rIII, is solid, the construction is excellent, returns safety the keys are easily reachable, I do not miss the top display (I do not even own it on the R6) I miss the Fuji rings (but I do not even have them on the R6). The customization of the machine means that once you set the rich menu and dedicated the keys and rings to the personalized controls you will hardly need to return to it. The first caveat: the rear LCD is bad and does not do justice to the viewing of the images taken that, at first glance, will show a certain "flatness" and unreal colors but, once you return home and download the RAW, you will see on the PC a really different result and, finally, you will enjoy the beautiful details that this machine knows how to capture. What about the famous A7rIII sensor, is it as good as they say? I have to say yes, the sensor is splendid and the file of incredible malleability, in post production allows you, really, to do a little bit of everything that comes to mind thanks to the wealth of information it brings in dowry. This sensor is, if not the best, among the best sony has ever churned out, the A7rIV has more detail but I chose the A7rIII because I find its 42 MPX ideal for my photography and because I find its sensor more "balanced" than that of its older sister. The sharpness of the images and the low noise (for a 42 MPX sensor) make this machine ideal in many contexts, from landscape to posed portraits, from architecture to travel reportage while a good but not excellent AF module, should suggest to those who practice sports and / or birdlife not laying another body in Sony. I refined this machine together with a small "important" FE kit (24 GM, Voigtlander 40 1.2 and 135 GM) to my Canon kit focused on two 20 MPX machines (1ds3 and R6) and I must say that I am extremely satisfied, the A7rIII is, as rightly recognized by most, an excellent machine and again (in the genres I have detailed in the current "pros") and its sensor is still, decidedly, a reference.

Pros: All

Cons: Maybe less battery life than the A7III

Opinion: I start that I bought it for treat because I could very well keep the A7 III smooth that was more than fine , having said this I noticed some positive and other negative things ;compared to the little sister 42mpx against 24 do not change life but help for the greater resolution and in case of wanting to make some crop a little more pushed, the battery life seems slightly less in the duration ,the viewfinder is of higher quality, the touch screen makes c.... and on both, the iso seal is excellent but slightly less than the sister probably due to the greater amount of mpx (still on excellent levels) weight and size seem slightly larger on the R but slightly,Pixelshift present on the R while on the smooth it misses that anyway I still have to try ,etc... as far as I've had the opportunity to try it so far I'm fully satisfied but if one doesn't have many pretensions the smooth version is already great of hers and definitely costs less than this

Pros: AF, Weight, Function Rich, RAW File, Well Built, Complete Key Customization; Dynamic range

Cons: Menu and Instruction Manual made under the use of LSD; Slow on and off; Used non-existent

Opinion: Taken with sony cashback, it's my first mirrorless, what about technology concentrate, full of fantastic features the ViewFinder. Autofocus of embarrassing speed and precision as effective as it is, and extremely configurable as the whole machine, churns out moving files as beautiful and workable as they are. Exceptional dynamic range I tried to whip it and you recover details from extremely dark areas without loss of quality, the construction is solid and the ergonomics of the keys is well done, everything is found without ever taking the eye off the viewfinder, even if the handle disappears in the hand, which is still solvable with a hand grip of a few euros. Menu made in the grip of hallucinogenic crises and if you hope to understand what those strange prehistoric writings mean by reading the manual ...... you have lost, fortunately the WEB is full of people of good will who explain to us what the various functions of the menu are for and anyway once you have customized the various keys and the quick menu the user experience returns excellent again. Very slow to switch off and on again, it sounds like nonsense but if you have to change an optics on the fly it wastes your time. Used market practically nil compared to other brands and photographic ecosystem (forums, groups, schools, various initiatives) of Sony Italia far behind houses like Nikon (from which I come) Last really interesting consideration the possibility of using Nikon motorized optics with an adapter and effectively maintain all automatisms therefore makes the passage less traumatic.

Pros: Great

Cons: Nothing, much better than previous series

Opinion: I've had this car for about a month, taking a few shots, and I have to say I'm very happy with the results. I was really sick of the very heavy SLRs that I was convinced were immortal, but here we are on a different planet. Starting with size and weight. Of course it's a judgment of an evolved, unprofessional, photoamer, but I think there's a majority of these pages. Beautiful images, hard to make comparisons. Excellent dynamic range. The menu, much criticized, is just different from the others.

Pros: 42 MP; Af; ISO seal; size; weight; file workability; battery life

Cons: Electronic viewfinder; menu; ignition time; weight and size (under pattern)

Opinion: Bought a year ago, used almost exclusively for photos, and after this period I can only be pleased. The sensor guarantees a quantity of superlative details and a good high iso seal (it shoots well even at 6400). The files are excellent and can be processed in any way with great shadow recovery. The AF is valid and clearly gives its best with G or GM optics, its settings cover every range of use. The size and weight make it easily transportable and convenient for trips and out-of-door trips. At the same time, however, what is an advantage becomes a disadvantage when using long or heavy telephoto jections that make the system un balanced; in these situations I opted for the purchase of a vertical grip that makes the trim perfect again. Another advantage is the excellent battery life that quietly guarantees 7/800 shots. Although it has a good evf it suffers from a basic problem: it displays images that are too bright. This can lead from time to time not to trust the exposure.... Wrong. The menu is messed up, fortunately there are many tutorials on the web and there is always a way to set up the machine correctly. Another weakness is the ignition time, even from the standby, which on some rare occasions can cause the shot to be lost. As written at the beginning, even evaluating the cons, it is definitely a purchase that I would make again.

Pros: Resolution, body contained but solid, file malleability.

Cons: Iso estate (but in relation to megapixels is justified), original optical cost, delirious menu.

Opinion: I bought the A7III which I then sold to buy this and keep the optical park. From a video point of view you lose something, especially when working at high sensitivity Iso where the smooth is sensational. The responsiveness of the autofocus, however satisfactory, is also less than III. The change, however, is convenient if you use the camera especially for photography. The high resolution makes all the difference, both for the ability to crop and "adjust" the shot in post, and to the overall feeling of higher file quality, really very detailed. Satisfied with the gearbox, also because in the video field the R still does well. In summary, if the main use is the photo, the R series is ideal, for video instead better to turn to the III or the S series.

Pros: Final machine, it has everything you need. Of course, the 4 will do everything a little better, but here you already have an absurd quality concentrate that can please everyone in every area, current price, body solidity, CORREDO

Cons: some compatible lenses, but it is moving a lot on the Tamron/sigma front, poor choice between telephoto lenses, cryptic menus for those coming from other brands but here it is just a matter of habit/attitude: no menu is difficult, you just have to get used to it (in this case the cunning are the shortcuts with the C buttons)

Opinion: If I say it is my definitive machine, does anyone believe it (especially those who know me and know that I change 5 kits a year for now 3 abundant years)? Yet, after a we of intensive use between landscapes and portraits, I can definitely say that it is really a perfect machine for everyone. Solid, always efficient, ready for anything. Among the pluses I put the kit: well yes, now there are exclusive lenses for Sony (Voigtlander among all), and this was the reason why I changed from D850 to Sony A7r3 and I have absolutely no regrets. Once you have set the machine properly, you will never re-enter the menu, you only use shortcuts. I'm still learning how to set it all up, but already so the experience is really pleasant. Rating: 9.5 (because the r4 that for now MUST be 10) UPDATE: as someone will have read in the forum, I changed it with the Canon R, a bit for necessity, a bit for lack of fun: on the Canon I found that feeling I had with the old reflexes , both as usability and as a menu, at the cost of lower pp performance. The true love with Sony never exploded in the end, was it always lukewarm, the fault of old habits? Can. In any case I confirm the goodness of Sony and the fact that it is a definitive machine, if you do not have problems of ergonomics and budget for the kit. UPDATE 2: Nowadays, the perfect mirrorless doesn't exist, but having an a7r3 and an Eos R at the same time comes close to perfection

Pros: Small body, light but rocky. Sensor among the best with ample possibilities of crop and tonal range at the top. Little noise especially in high ISO movies. Autofocus now perfect. Ability to use almost any goal. Quality SONY support. Guaranteed shutter for an exorbitant number of shots. The battery never ends.

Cons: Lack of physical deliande and mandatory use of the less intuitive menu that is in circulation. Noisy shot (but there are those who say it is necessary to make the shot feel to those in front of the lens... ). Native colors that need a retouch. Noise in ROW in the shadows has been present since the low Iso. Monitor only partially unfolded. The sensor's tendency to get dirty with every change of optics.

Opinion: It's great the miniaturization they did at Sony; Even today the A7, despite its robust and sealed body, is the smallest and lightest full frame, to be carried around with targets without excessive weights. Coming from Canon D 5 III the difference in weight with the kit is really remarkable. The sharpness of the sensor is exceptional with ample cropping and a dynamic range superior to the other machines I have tried. The JPG products don't have Fuji's perfect color tones, but if you work in Row the problem doesn't arise. The noise of the shutter is remarkable and you have to make a habit, especially if you have in your ears the "blow" of Fuji, especially the XH1. The anti-vibration system is there, but I don't think it's going to work miracles. The autofocus is a reference and does not make traditional SLRs regret it. I have many goals of various brands even ten years old and I can always mount them on the body of the A7 RIII; I think Sony offers them the best. Since it must always be improved, I would like if in the next models Sony worked on colors, on tiltable monitors even vertically and above all revolutionized the menu if anything by equipping even the bodies of physical garlands as Does Fuji. At that point you would risk a penalty from the antitrust!

Pros: Iso hold, fantastic sensor, Sw 3.0, command customization, Af, 10FPS, Double SD slots (not discounted these days).

Cons: lack of illuminated back buttons, lack of internal program for focus bracketing, lack external controls as on A9, thought by engineers and not photographers and this those who grind us notice.

Opinion: I've been using this machine with satisfaction for a few months, top portability, top third-party lenses, awesome dynamic range. I was really surprised by its excellent sensor that despite being very dense with mpx is extremely excellent even at high sensitivity. The Afc works really well, a little slow the AFS. Fully customizable keys which makes up for some shortcomings in its own way. The battery life is also very good.

Pros: Weight, fantastic sensor, fast AF, ISO seal

Cons: I would improve some more the ring nuts, battery, messed up menu, viewfinder size

Opinion: I come from the Nikon world precisely from D850, so my expectations were high. What to say this car amazes me more and more, accustomed to certain weights here I even seem to have it with me, ergonomics I like even if the time and aperture rings I would enlarge them slightly. The quality of the files is fantastic and are super detailed, recently I also made a wedding where I used it with a Sigma 35 f/1.4 Art, I alterned the autofocus function with active face detection on manual focus with focus peaking viewfinder, a real bomb! The optics cost but the quality is charged, perhaps also because in the used there is still not much market. I do not know if it will be a definitive machine, I can only say that at the moment is among the best I had!

Pros: Powerful, AF speed, ability to shoot at high ISO, an incredible sensor

Cons: In my opinion no one

Opinion: I have for a few months this formidable A7R3. I come from the World Olympus Micro 4/3 and I had a very good Om-D EM1 Mk 2 with all Pro optics. I will not make any kind of comparison as they are two cameras distinctly different, but I do not miss even a bit because I found two points for me important: the speed and the ability to raise the ISO (although as a machine, the Sony, having all these mega Pixel in his bonnet suffers a bit of noise presence, but I took up to 24,000 ISO without working too much in PP and remain pleasantly affected. It has an incredible AF, a deadly burst and the duration of a single battery (purely original) infinite!!!! I worked a lot with Nikon D4, D4S and D5 at professional sports level and I can at the AF level and high ISO, compare them to this Sony. I will not play which is better or worse because for me all good machines and some different from each other, but with A7R3 I found everything I had, using the Nikon, with the difference of having less weight on. As far as I am concerned, also talking about weight, I am a person who does not care because I want more quality than portability and when they mount over Supertele cameras or qualitatively professional objectives, I think it always weighs everything but with the Just because. But when you don't have to mount a tele, but travel light, with this machine you can do it. A backpack and go! I hope to be able to help someone with my opinion... it is not easy to express what I mean, but as a machine is not back to any. I use it for landscapes, sports, weddings... it doesn't limit me to anything. There's nothing missing. The difference with other machines like Canon and Nikon is just that there is still a large market of used that can allow more competitive prices and this can be a thing to put into account because the lenses cost a lot but as I said before , if we want quality, we must also know that it has a cost. Other than that, I'm also using Canon and Tamron lenses (with adapters without looking for savings) and I'm finding it very well... so in my opinion, the optical park can be expanded quietly even for a PRO use at decidedly more decent prices.

Pros: It's practically a A7R2 to which they have removed the flaws... improved the solidity of the keys, the fluidity and the resolution of the viewfinder (even if the increased resolution does not notice much as opposed to the higher refresh), double slot, high burst considering the 42mpx, PIXEL SHIFT, possibility to use the machine by loading it with a Powerbank directly (not present this function on series A7 1 and 2), AF finally usable in a perfect way with Canon optics even at night

Cons: Ergonomics not Excellsa (usual need for battery grip or additional pieces), cryptic menu (less than the series 2, here they put a "recap" at the top, but there are still more features) with even more cryptic translations. You'll end up with stuff like "AST. Faf. RAF." To synthesize very long translations that will be impossible to comprehend except by opening the manual.

Opinion: I was very undecided whether to buy this car or not. I had so beautiful a A7R2 at home, but I was limiting in terms of AF. In fact, being in love with Sony sensors and doing naturalistic, I was always bogged down in shutter speed and autofocus that with Canon lenses was unfortunately insufficient in very dynamic environments (and I certainly do not spend more than €2000 for a 100-400). If in fact in controlled environments the usability of Canon lenses was "sufficient", in dynamic environments unfortunately not. I'm not saying it was unusable, but not perfect. Let's add some flaws on the batteries always to be replaced, overheating almost immediate, and some other defect... Let's say that €3,000 I would never spend it on this machine (having the R2 is meant). However I was proposed new to €1950 (used a week by a guy out of his mind, but is new to €2500 with cashback and worth them all), and I could not refuse. It's perfect in everything, nothing to add. Brutal for landscapes and the like thanks to the possibility of pixel shift. This technology in fact is not replayable in post-production (as many mistakenly think). It is not a simple stack of images to increase the resolution, but exploits the intrinsic of the Bayer sensor to faithfully restore the images, capturing the same scene by translating in 2 dimensions the sensor of 1 pixel, up to 4 shots. It is not something "prizes and hello", because however in post-production these images must be merged, modified, and in case of moving subjects (clouds, water etc.) must be masked. This does not mean that the static subjects reach a definition and a detail unattainable from other combinations Machines\\lente. For everything else is a brutal machine, with a monstrous AF, an imposing burst, eternal battery life... Essentially the definitive machine regarding dense sensors. But if you only do real images and are willing to sacrifice the pixel shift, I would opt to save and remain on the R2 version. Note that this Pixel Shift is only usable in controlled environments. In fact if you photograph a landscape, the slightest movement sends everything to the air. Therefore to discard any situation with Nuvole\\fogliame. UPDATE: Updated after a few days of use. The difference in viewfinder level is impressive. It is already much better than the a7r2, and immensely better than a normal A72. At the outlet level each key is much more robust than the previous version. It almost seems to have passed from a Canon entry level to a 5d (to make a comparison). Just passing instantaneously from a A7R3 to a A7R2 you can see the many improvements made, even in terms of the layout of the keys, slightly improved with the presence of a button AF-ON Canon style that previously lacked. Addition not to underestimate the high refresh rate of the viewfinder that I think reaches 120hz (but it is still a pleasure to move quickly and see almost as if it were an optical viewfinder). UPDATE: In the end I was resolute and I resumed a A7R2. Better €1000 more in your pocket, than those few goodies in addition, which for an amateur have very little sense.

Pros: Weight and portability, Eye AF, battery life, Live View, Focus peaking, dynamic range,? Sensor, ISO Seal

Cons: Ergonomics, viewfinder, Sony E-mount lens range, AUTO functions

Opinion: Ergonomics and body ergonomics was right from the start the real Handicap of this camera, you really feel the absence of that cm of body more that would allow the little finger to properly grip the camera. Sony (later since it is a defect that is brought back from the first series of the A7) introduced an "extension" that I find rather useless, I have instead found the solution alongside the inevitable Battery-Grip (Essential accessory for me) an L plate ARCA-Swiss 3 Legged Arms of a Beautiful "orange Sony" as beautiful as functional. I find it very confusing and misleading the menu: it is easy to get lost even if you read the manual well. I have missed so far of Nikon that feeling to always have everything in the right place without having "in the middle of the boxes" automatic functions for me unnecessary, I appreciated instead the lack of flash as it is known that the ones fitted as standard are absolutely Devoid of functionality and extreme fragility. High quality instead the "skins" used to coat the camera, give a nice feedback and have a good grip and specific use since the first use (as in part mentioned above) I found myself having to "fight" with this handicap of lack of a place where to put the little finger, a lack not recently and reiterated since it is a handicap since the first series. Coming to the features this camera has really interesting features such as the eye AF that allows (especially with native Sony lenses) to have a MAF on the eye in the foreground almost perfect. Useful and equally practical the Focus peaking that makes MAF manuals simply perfect and therefore to evaluate the use of vintage lenses with a few euro adapter. I also found the live view really good, see the photo "as it will" is a thing not just to which however you have to get used to it, also the dynamic range is simply extraordinary: coming from Nikon D800 that had nothing to envy the current SLR I was well accustomed but even in this the A7R III has managed to amaze me. Unnecessary, especially if you evaluate the type of camera and its cost, AUTO functions and filters in the room presets that I simply find the functions implemented for all those who buy only to have expensive toys to shoot Photos to children, dog, and generic photos. Last but not least the issue of lenses, to date there is a park native lenses dignified recently implemented by the Sigma ART series optics that added that pepper that was lacking in the competition, unfortunately the choice is still very slow but I have no doubt that it will incremented in the future. Batteries and Accessories I had always heard friends in the possession of other Sony of previous series (those that mount the NP-FW50) complain not little about the life of the battery, on this I have to say that you do not have autonomies from reflex but we lack little. 600 shots with a charge are definitely not a mirage, the machine in full use never heats excessively and the charging times are very reasonable. Absolutely to buy the cover of Gariz (to improve aesthetics, grip and increase the protection) and the original Battery grip Sony VG-C3EM that in addition to making it perfect for shots in portrait mode makes it even easier to recharge: from the A7R III is In fact, you can recharge both on-body batteries with a simple powerbank or by connecting the camera to a wall-mounted power supply with the appropriate type-C cable conclusions the A7R III is to date my camera reference, for these first few months of use can not I know I'm happy with the use and I recommend the purchase to all those who are attracted by ultra-dense pixel sensors and fans of genres such as portraiture, street and landscaping

Pros: QI, fantastic sensor for dynamic range, excellent and precise autofocus

Cons: Sony has removed the apps not indispensable but so cute...

Opinion: I come from Sony A7R2 and for about 6 months I am the owner of this amazing body that is the A7R3! I say immediately that the IQ is slightly improved compared to the A7R2... improved (albeit little) dynamic range, improved the autofocus which is now even more accurate, improved colors that are now just hotter, improved operating speed Overall of the camera, improved the battery that now looks more like a battery than a DSLR for durability. have been improved and inserted also many small other things like the stabilization on the sensor that now appears even more than the A7R2, the touch screen (even if it does not drive me crazy for how it was conceived and the bad feeling that from Al Touch), has been inserted a small joystick, a viewfinder more capable in resolution and refresh, the function pixel shift, the double SD slot and finally the gust that now reaches 10 fps. I have used it enough in these 6 months (my exemplar was one of the first on the market in Italy) and I have to say that I took a certain feeling with this camera, it from a feeling of sturdiness and for my hands the grip is not a big deal (by the way it was law Rmente also improved the one to make room for the larger battery compartment). Photographically I have nothing to fault on this camera body since the sensor is one of the best on the market and allows me to snaps with ease in critical light situations, as the sensor recovers to perfection the shadows (a little less the highlights) , and always maintains a high IQ. With high ISO (for me high ISO means Max 3200iso) No problem, but I must say that I did some tests and the photos are perfectly recoverable even at 6400iso, then obviously depends on the light situations that are there at the time of shooting. On the portrait, landscape and street the camera is flawless... I have yet to check how it behaves with sports photography and macros, although I must admit that the tracking, speed and accuracy of the autofocus is really disarming! In short, a jewel that does not regret any reflex, not even the flagships... and the price in my opinion is not so high as you want to believe... Nikon d850 nital and 5Dmark4 Canon Italia still cost more than Sony and offer much less in terms of photographic technology... boh do you...

Pros: Quality images, Touch, flexibility, ISO sensitivity, sensor, good video quality, precise and fast AF, excellent skin tone and eye focus, 10 fps.

Cons: Price even if it's worth them.

Opinion: I've been using it for a day and I have to say it's really nice, fast in focus, very real in colors and details (face, eyes, embodied). It is very good and it is not so cumbersome, the optics are beautiful both as yield and as construction, a real gem and as such a coastline. In due time I will also give my technical/operational opinion. Bravo Sony.

Pros: Image quality, flexibility, ability to use the techart pro for manual lenses

Cons: Manual and menu is not clear; remote control using smartphone trainable; as with all sony mirrorless the sensor gets dirty easily optical switching because it remains exposed

Opinion: I'm satisfied because it is a mature product, with excellent image quality, and allows you to use stabilised and with autofocus lenses that interest me particularly, as the summilux m, techart pro adapter. Very good the eye focus. I haven't tried the af with native fe: when I can, I will integrate the review

Pros: Everything on a7r2 had not: 10 fps-improved Touch-ISO-skintone great-same sensor but with improvements-joystick-enhanced video Mode-Af more responsive-Interesting 4 k HDR-pixel shift and much more

Cons: Even if I found some flaws. I accept it always as cost aside, I could not find anything against it, perhaps the lack of apps, the ones you.

Opinion: For now this machine I tried it for 2 twice in two Sony Day. and for two times I said to myself: this machine should I take. The features and enhancements that offers the a7r3, are greater than its predecessor (which still remains a great car, and still has much to give). The sensor is the same as the R2, but that has improved a lot, not only for the quality. What I found is the improved skin tone right away, much better on the r3 on r2, also the reactivity of af is phenomenal, especially eye af is frightening (something also seen in a7III) on r2 remains excellent, but here, we are at the higher level, and not only that the c sensor coverage is of over 60% against 45% of r2. I tried the machine with native lenses sony, primarily Sel85f14GM, gentlemen, CHAPAU ... I could write the same stuff as they say and repeat testers or enthusiasts, but beyond that, has improved a lot the Syncro. I find it very interesting the function of 4 k HDR in video mode, but that is about to be tested, as it is to test the Pixel shift. Aspect against that I have found, perhaps that of the app, is the biggest absence (seen in a9), but I think sony needs to resolve this situation, at least by inserting an intervalometer for timelapse. There is still a lot to be said about this machine, and will soon be my new roommate adventure final. ...

Pros: What was missing from the A7RII

Cons: Price

Opinion: After a few hours of use, the impression is that Sony has finally heard the criticism of customers and not just their own marketing department. The improvements are many and cover, for what is my experience, all the areas where the mark II did not shine. Rnrn What is the eye? Rnrn First of all, despite the same sensor, the quality has improved slightly, the dynamic range is higher and the colors are more balanced. Not a little to be the same sensor. These results sometimes reflect, in the sense that technologies that have never been exploited to the bottom are abandoned ... rnrnAutofocus, here we are in another category, fast, perfect tracking and exceptional Eye-AF, portraying with this machine is also a pleasure with very bright optics. Of all this improvement, the adaptive optics also benefit from it, my Metabones Smart Adapter V looks like something else, we are close to native speed. Excellent. Not to mention the burst, 10 fps with an excellent buffer.rnrnStabilizeFinally, it is a serious matter that can be relied upon. It is soon to make accurate accounts, but I would say that we are close to the 5 stops, so excellent, the old A7RII was not at all at this level. RnrnPixel Shift, still cumbersome but already sees great possibilities, the quality you can squeeze with this technique is astonishing, sin for the delay between one shot and the other. I used the same function on Pentax and it is more advanced. RnrnThe LCD monitor and the viewfinder are both improved, indeed, the monitor is now touching another beautiful novelty, I do not care much about it, but I know that many were waiting for it. An excellent input is the joystick for the focus, convenient and functional.rnrnDouble Dual Battery ... what else? RnrnAdded the bluetooth connection, i have not tried it yet so i do not know what functions are hiding behind ... rnrnAdd door USB C, being quite recent, is not a real innovation, I download photos directly by connecting SD tol PC, to try if it is really fast as they say. By the way, another great novelty, the support for two SDs, only one of the SDXC II type, however, the dual slot is quite comfortable and provides more peace, especially when it is gone. for studio units.rnrnAlso the video industry has been improved 4k video is now without binning pixels, HDRs have HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) support, full HD comes to 120fps, in short, a whirlwind of novelty even here. The ergonomics for me has improved thanks to the larger battery that has forced the designers to revisit the handle, now more comfortable. The menus have been revised, you can create custom menus and you can assign them to almost all the keys an enormous amount of more features than before. I immediately put the FF / APS-C switch, very comfortable.rnrnFor now enough, the manual is huge and the new features really arente ...
