Pros: Focal range, stabilization, price

Cons: AF, sharpness, weight

Opinion: How are you? The answer depends on how much you pay it. If you pay 800 euros that's fine, you have a super telephoto lens from 600mm that on aps-c Canon becomes 960mm, almost 1000mm stabilized and with autofocus. If you pay more you start to see that the sharpness at full aperture is not good and often you have to close at f/8 or f/9 species at 600mm. If you want to chase fast-moving subjects such as birds I would advise against it because the AF is not fast and is not accurate. At that point you look around and see that there are solutions that cost little more, are lighter and perform better. Weight: everything is there and you can feel everything. I'm 2kg. Personally on Canon I found myself better with the 100-400 II cropped up to 600mm: I did my comparative tests and in the end I preferred the Canon for AF, for 500g less, more sharpness even after cropping, for less bulk in the bag and not least a bit brighter. So to those who evaluate it for the purchase, I invite them to think about the purchase price and the alternatives that today are many, many more than when I bought it.

Pros: Cost around 1000€ (150-600 Weight 2 kg. Settings and customization with Sigma dock. Adjustable and removable support ring (supplied rubber that fills the space left by the ring when extracted). Good quality carrying bag. Warranty 4 years. Good price on used. Good focus in optimal situations.

Cons: Not tropicalized (but given the price). At 600 mm not usable at TA without closing the diaphragm at least at F9 (to have clear photos in the best case) Very compact support foot at the expense of the solidity of the manual and tripod grip, but robust. Focus ring that at 600mm. it is very uncomfortable, shooting freehand, because of its backward position, with respect to the central socket.

Opinion: I am still testing the capabilities of this goal, bought at 900 euros + Sped expenses. ,I did some tests and tests in various contexts, shooting mainly on a tripod with a fluid head and mostly static subjects. I also tried freehand, I found on Nikon D810 good continuous 3D AF on subjects in flight on a neutral background but it is a tiring and calculated practice and I believe that this Sigma is not the best lens to capture small birds in flight. Before buying this telephoto lens, I happened to read on forums and reviews that at 600mm. this zoom, did not have acceptable sharpness parameters and on other posts that had a good if not excellent yield and resolution and I wondered the reason for these conflicting judgments. From what I was able to understand after touching it with my hand, shooting with Nikon D810 which is an FF spread over 36mpx, it is a good zoom ... it has its merits and if I have to admit the defects if you learn to use it there are not; you have to start with the idea that it is NOT a lens that you can bring in the dirt (dust, salt, water, wind, sand). Let's forget sharpness over long distances even at f22 if we try to photograph distant landscapes, know that the haze, the effect of heat distortion and the wind (micro-shake) will be absolutely our enemies. The freehand photo (for me) is not recommended, in order to shoot effectively (decent photos) you need to have high times, high iso, close at least the aperture at f8 or f9 and have abundant light to take advantage of the AF and try how the camera reacts by setting the best settings, the problem is that these animals do not pass in front of you, when you expect it, it often happens so quickly that taking home a shot like this, includes many factors including patience, knowledge of places and fauna, camouflage and the inevitable blow of the ass. If something can go wrong, with this lens, it will do it, the microwavy is not a possibility, it is a certainty (Quoting Michele Vacchiano, photographer from Turin in his test video of the same Sigma 150-600 C). Best use from my point of view, on tripod with fluid head, attentive to the wind, remote shooting and right light that unfortunately means shooting at times of the day and in places where in any case the exposure is never below a certain threshold, penalty, use very high iso or worse try to open the aperture under F9 creates in both cases, photos usually trashable. For its quality price, for its use also as a Macro lens (minimum focus 2.8 mt.), for its moderate weight and in the end for its yield I can recommend it to an "adult" audience who wants to try a zoom, understand that it is not at all easy to pull out decent photos and at that point there is the crossroads, you resell it or buy the fixed lights, after having sold a kidney and mortgaged the house waiting for the advance of the TFR ... You give how to play is not bad, on apsc moreover gains x1.5 on Nikon and x1.6 on Canon , in practice at 600 mm. on Nikon you are actually 600x1.5 = 900mm, but in fact shortening the shutter speed that will have to be further raised to stay on the safety threshold ranging from 1/600 sec. first to 900-1000 on apsc (shooting freehand). However the zoom is sharp from F9 upwards, know how to adjust accordingly. Good light and happy post-production!

Pros: Value for money, construction, weight.

Cons: very soft at longer focal lengths, short tripod bracket, af not always precise, light hood.

Opinion: It is a lens that does its duty, but for the price it has it certainly does not work miracles. After 300mm, at f6.3, it is very very soft and struggles to produce quality images, which often forces a use at more closed apertures, at least from f8 upwards. At 600mm the drop in overall image quality is considerable. Used for avi-fauna, I think we can say that this lens is practically an entry level: it allows you to do (almost) everything, it is able to produce good or even excellent results when technique and shooting conditions are impeccable, otherwise you can still take home the shot (sometimes with some difficulty) but certainly not of quality comparable to that of more noble optics. For my experience and given the value for money it is an excellent product, certainly not free from defects.

Pros: stabilization, weather resistance

Cons: Af not precise, unclear photos, infiltration of front dust, tripod bracket a little short

Opinion: I still have in my possession this lens, the only one in its type that I use for wildlife photos. I bought it a 4 months ago at a price of 700 euros. after so many tests and different settings through the DOCKUSB I must say that I was not very excited and it's a shame. A fairly dark lens of course, the quality does not excel. I really like the stabilizer of this lens.

Pros: I think it's sure that this lens nn has nnt of Pro

Cons: Plastic construction material is easily wearing, price is poor quality of files

Opinion: There was no more wrong choice to buy this lens. After a month of use and several calibrations I could not have a single acceptable file, I state the use in mirrolers Ff and reflex Ff.Nnt more disheartening. Built with very cheap material easily worn out to nn talk about the Af that barely works. Luckily for me bought where I could give it back. I believe it is the only lens where Sigma has not applied any of its pricing. Vote nn I express myself but in my opinion it is not classifiable with respect to the cost of sale does not apply to nnt its almost 1000 €

Pros: Lightweight, good overall performance, stabilizer, construction (plastic but solid), price

Cons: Sharpness of my specimen, Short tripod bracket, aesthetically delicate plastics, zoom rubber that tends to whiten, not tropicalized, dark, dust infiltration in the front lens

Opinion: I had this lens for 2 years, used on different camera bodies, first on D610 and then on D300 and D500.. I think it is a compromise in everything, sharpness that in my specimen left a bit to be desired in different situations especially on apsc but this I think depends a lot on Sigma's controls on production (there is the possibility of calibrating it with the dock), the stabilizer is good but not exceptional in both modes, the focus is quite fast but not always precise despite the limiter, constructively speaking it is well done but it lines with ease and the tires tend to turn white, it is a 6.3 that improves to f8 so a little dark, for those who use it on a tripod the bracket is short and easy vibrations are created. If I had to give a rating it would be a 7.5 out of 10. In conclusion I can say that in my opinion it is a "lukewarm" lens has never exalted me particularly for sharpness and bokeh, but it has always done its own and has never given me problems, you can make excellent shots and for what it costs (I paid it 750 € 2 years ago in conditions equal to the new) it is an excellent compromise. After 2 years I noticed dust infiltration between the lenses, dust that does not create problems for the photos but that lowers their value in case of sale. I hope I have been of help to those who plan to buy it.

Pros: price, weight, quality, stabilizer

Cons: non-push-pull zoom.

Opinion: I use it on Canon M5 and 7d. on both it works perfectly, although for a matter of weight and performance of the continuous af it is much more comfortable on the SLR, despite the more aged sensor. It's my first super tele, so I can't compare it with the competition, but it's a well-built lens, pleasant to hold in your hand, closed with a sharp stop, the af is very fast (especially if you use the limiter) and the stabilization effective. defects? at this price no one (do you want a bright 600mm? you have wrong price range ...), but to be honest on some occasions the blurred is really tremendous, and the zoom push pull would have been very convenient ... although I use it so anyway, pushing on the truncated cone "behind" the front lens. Update: Since I bought it I have never been able to make freehand shots perfectly in focus, the weight and length of this beast make it impossible for me to wield without swinging from all sides. A few days ago I finally solved with a monopede. I do not report it in the defects, I do not think it can be considered as such.

Pros: Image quality, weight, life-saving stabilizer

Cons: Af not always accurate

Opinion: I found it at a good guy and bought it. I had not much doubt being my first experience with a supertele and coming from 5 years of 70/300 I can only appreciate this lens. Excellent image quality, the rendering of images even at 600 is something that for me was just dreaming. I photograph military aircraft and bird life, subjects quite elusive. Unfortunately, af is a little helped and in many situations it goes into crisis (branches, mesh nets, etc.). The weight for the lens is really very low the quality of the materials looks good. The stabilizer allowed me to shoot in peace with a freehand at 1/320 so I would say outdated test. Great lens. Recommended.

Pros: Focal excursion, stabilizer, weight compared to the sport version

Cons: AF issues on my Nikons, sharpness not always easy to obtain, discreet plastics considering the price

Opinion: From the point of view of construction quality, given the price in my opinion you could have had something more. Good but not exceptional plastics and feeling of solidity. Technical side, in the use I noticed that even with the use of the easel and working in light conditions favorable to very closed diaphragms, it is not always possible to pull out perfectly sharp shots. The real limit however in my case was the AF: on both Nikon d7500 and D500 I encountered a delay in the AF and a persistent front/back focus problem that I could not fix even after dozens of calibrations with the dock station. I may have been unlucky, but for me the vote is low.

Pros: All

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: tested on canon eos R6 and R5 ...... a bomb. exceptional autofocus.... at the height of the canon 100-400 L IS SUM II, high iso perfect.... an impressive lens for photo-naturalists.. and sports..... this C version is better in the autofocus of the sport version, which is better in construction. tested autofocus on animal eyes and people's eyes, was perfect. a good purchase for quality - price.

Pros: ..

Cons: ..

Opinion: I took this new lens from a few days giving tooth to a tokina 16.28 and a tamron 100-400 with a nisi filter and a filter haida nd1000 neutral without putting a euro.well right away I saw that it is very sharp not at the level of a fixed but since it comes to 600mm and not cost at 10,000 euros for the quality it has is fantastic.it weighs almost 2kg and having 800g more of the 100-400 tamron a bit feel. but if I think about the sport version that weighs 4kg I do not complain and cmq you take walks and freehand photos without problems. even with not very fast times because the stabilization works very well as the focus is very fast. I'm using it on d500 and I'm having a really good time, when there is little light or the subject is in the shade in the middle of bushes and so with little contrast it makes a little effort but I saw worse. struggles a second and then reappears. then this I do not know if it also depends on the body, walking you it is almost natural to keep it for the bracket which is really small but is not then a problemone. I bought a shoulder strap with very comfortable stirring hook ingesand and I solved the problem. The construction is good but it always gives you the impression of rowing it from one moment with each other in the next few days I will also put on a nice camouflage vest.

Pros: Ease of use, sharpness

Cons: a little plastic, unprofessional autofocus

Opinion: Surely it is a very interesting goal, weighs "little" and carries it with "ease". The main difference between C and S lies in weight and construction, and also especially in autofocus. The C version is perfectly usable freehand even for quite a long time,it seems to have a 100-400, it carries without problems in the backpack and does not take up too much space. The C is light and plastic, with a rough and uncomfortable focus ring to manoeuvre, the collar can be removed gaining another 150 grams scarce. Pump zooming is a bit hard to operate and not flowing especially at longer focal points. The S is a bomb-proof brick. It is the best and heavy version of all of its kind ( i.e. Nikon 200-500..tamron 150-600..) The autofocus of Contemporary when the light drops struggles a lot and also becomes noisy, also in broad daylight when I photograph mountains very far away with little contrast struggles to hook (also on d500). The sharpness is very good, up to 500/550 in my opinion is similar if not better than the Sport, then at 550 it "stops" the 600mm enlarges the subject more and affect a hair more on the blurred, but do not give more sharpness than the 550mm. With tc 1401 it maintains the autofocus but becomes slower. In any case, I do not recommend the use of multipliers on this type of lens, in addition to losing a lot of brightness they definitely spoil the yield at the edges and almost never offer advantages even in the center. Better croppare. The ied for intense and professional use, and in challenging conditions, is very easy to mark and scratch it, both on the body and on the front lens, and the autofocus is probably the weakest of its kind

Pros: price if taken used, stabilization, still sharp to take away some satisfaction

Cons: bracket for small easel.

Opinion: bought used, but plastered, did not disappoint me. For those who want to make birds without spending too much, taking nice photos, it's fine. excellent stabilizer (at 600 you also shoot freehand at 1/125 or so). Good contrast and colors. I use it in combination with multiplying 1.4 EX DG (the oldest one of the TC1401) and that's fine. I find myself an 840mm a f/9 (for the sick of photography the light and focal length are never enough); loses something in contrast but little stuff. The autofocus perhaps suffers a little level of ..."indecision" (e.g. cloudy skies having to photograph a ash heron on the river edge near rocks and boulders, better sewing in manual). Without multiplier the autofocus is precise. Like all zooms to the extreme focal it loses in sharpness, but nothing special, and shooting from f8 onwards recovers well. Mounted on the stand the stirrup is a little small and if you do not have a pesantuccio easel there is always the risk of moving. The mount on 5dsr with satisfactory results in terms of sharpness (making large crop of the image is difficult given the micromove always lurking; the easel and the open locked mirror are a must). Greetings.

Pros: Price, weight, size, optical performance, AF performance, flexibility thanks to firmware upgrades, to customizations thanks to the docking station (sold at Little Price) and to the various settings of IOS and AF, focal perfect for naturalistic, Pairing with TC1401 (1.4 x) that practically does not affect the quality of the shots (maximum equivalent focal on sensor with DX area equal to 1260mm!), tripod ring, shoulder strap for lens, lens case, hood.

Cons: Not received for now

Opinion: Tested for 8 consecutive hours for photos of Avifauna with Nikon D850. Made 779 photos. First time in my life that they are ALL perfectly in focus. Weight not excessive, all well balanced, AF to thrill for consistency and speed, absolute sharpness from F 7.1 to F9, matched to the TC Sigma 1, 4x and used on sensor area DX (1, 5x) is a telescope practically! If I think I paid him two money used I laugh. Already at the price of the new for what you get is given. It Remains the uncertainty of the duration in time, but with what it churn if you use it properly the cost from new is amortizes in a few months. Update confirming that the files obtained with this lens at 5000 ISO on Nikon D850 with two steps in PP become admirable for sharpness and yield. A professional lens camouflaged by amateur product.

Pros: Weight, price, AF, dock, general sharpness.

Cons: At the moment nothing.

Opinion: Bought as a first telephoto lens to replace the too "short" Tamron 70 300 I must say I am fully satisfied with the purchase. In my opinion one of the best telephoto zoom lenses on the market. Thanks to the low weight, (kg. 1,930), it is used quietly freehand and bring home high quality shots. The AF is lightning-fast and the sharpness at 600 mm (F/10) is pretty good. The general construction is excellent but not being weather sealed I preferred to cover it with neoprene camouflage protections to preserve it from bumps, dust and moisture. Recommended!

Pros: Weight, stabilizer, fast autofocus, customizing with usb dock, clarity in line with the price range.

Cons: Bracket, clutch hood insane.

Opinion: I have this lens for over 2 years and I have never spent my money better. Paid less than €1000 online, I've never been able to find him a true defect from the optical viewpoint or maf or stabilization. Weighs little, you bring it around like a 70-200, the nitididezza to 600 mm is not comparable to that of a fixed but it is not even the price. great to carry around without a carrier and usabilissimo Freehand, the stabilizer allows shots to 1/60 "without a tripod. Only in: really small bracket that does not allow a good grip, the lens hood that fits and especially in the release, you have to act forcefully with both hands and manual focus ring really hard to find while you're framing but are things that you get used to it easily and the money eventually makes up for it.

Cons: when Nader

Opinion: Hold for a few days, I still have to take your hand but I must say that being the first paintings by great satisfaction. Recommended for those who are beginners with this kind of optics. Pros: Only the IMHO price that makes it a false myth

Cons: many things...

Opinion: I made the return of the lens after only 2gg.rnOra me lincerete saying that the lens in question is worth all the money spent, which is clear etc ... rnA my modest warning for € 1000.00 should give more species in sharpness, construction (beautiful plastics but you notice that they are still cheap). rnI have not found the right feeling ne on 1DS mkII ne on 5D. Nothing to do.rnLe photos also on tripod they sin AF not precise F / B. (because I have to buy the Dock and then dismantle understand that my model was born badly?) rnParadossalmente was sharper with a Canon 2x mkii that smooth! A tremendous thing.rnCon Sigma I've never had positive feelings. My limits will be ... but with this brand you always have to fend.rnArrivo 400mm with the bianchino duplicate that af / 11 makes better than Sigma on short distances ... rnTherefore low rating.rnNot want to influence other people with my experience negative ... but today as today I would opt for anything else to get to 600mm on FF.rnAlso an old 300 / f Canon with 2X IMHO holds up better! rnOne positive note is that the AF at least was reattivo fast enough to hook ... but still sins strongly in B / F.

Pros: AF, stabilizer, value for money, mass, finishes, customization with USB dock

Cons: Little or nothing. Improvable bracket, lens hood and lens cap

Opinion: I have this lens for over a year and a half. I am very pleased with its performance. I took some time to be able to use it best since it was my first supertele and before I only had experiences with a 70-300. Great for up to 400mm for photos taken on the fly. Very good at 500mm for static subjects. At 600mm I recommend closing the diaphragm at least to F / 10. Well matched, even in terms of masses and balances, with the D7200. For my experience it suffers from slight overexposure (easily compensated by manual dropping at least one stop, or with settings that have a variable parameter by compensating for -0.3 or -0.7 ev). 2 Kg lens lens mass that is more than acceptable (I did not take the Sport version for its Kg more than for my way of taking is frankly too) .rn Thanks to the USB Dock you can overcome any front problems / Back focus (which I fortunately did not record it on the D7200 or on the D5300 nikon). You can adjust the effect on the stabilizer and above all sI can customize the autofocus speed (fast or slower and more accurate). The AF is more than good. I also like the chromatic aspect. A friend uses this view with Canon 80D and the results are really amazing.rnVoto 10/10 (I'm sorry of my first evaluation, 9/10, made at the beginning of my experience with this goal, a vote recorded on Juzaphoto).

Pros: Sharpness, price, construction quality, stabilizer

Cons: Bracket a little too short, cap cover slim lens, af ever biting

Opinion: I have this lens for a long time and I really like a lot .. I'm not getting it out of the reflex! In my opinion the best for quality / price. To have a good clarity you have to close at least one stop. On the other hand, it is also the case that the lens cap is really bad .. it struggles to stay hooked and often stops leaving the lens uncovered. I also found that af sometimes does not hook up the lens perfectly and makes you miss a few clicks

Pros: AF very fast, quite manageable, well built. Excellent stabilizer and excellent sharpness.

Cons: Only little details: lens cap a bit poor and bracket a little curtain.

Opinion: Very good optics and well built. The weight is not excessive, about 2 kg, but we talk about a supertele, so the weight is obvious that there is. After the 400 mm it is advisable to use a tripod or, at least, a monopod since with the whole zoom is very difficult to use freehand. It is a lens that I really like and I highly recommend. Someone complains about the little length of the bracket, but for me it is not a problem, jackets ' proceeded to buy a longer one on Amazon. Closed at f 8-9, it returns high quality shots even at 600mm. Too bad for the lens cap, only out of tune, since quality does not live up to the optics. I use it on both FF and DX. I recommend giving a reading to the comparative test between the C version and the one S made by Improvephotography.com (just go on the internet and look for "Sigma 150 600 C vs Sigma 150 600 S"). This test is pretty interesting.

Pros: AF; Very fast and efficient; Stabilization: good; weight: relatively light for a 600 mm; excellent quality / price ratio, just under 1000 Euros including usb dock; customization and upgrade firmawer with usb dock.

Cons: reduced bracket: I solved by inserting a Slider (Additional plate type) that I use as a handle and I have to say that is the largest (by the way is 2 money on the internet); a bit soft 600 mm but recoverable in post-production.

Opinion: Purchased in April 2016, I use it in tandem with Nikon D7200 and I can feel satisfied I mainly based on the quality / price ratio; the lens performance is obviously conditioned by the camera body; in principle I think the highlight of this lens is the really very fast and accurate AF, presents difficulties with fine only in backlight; 600 mm lose a little sharpness in any case is recovered somewhat to close at F10-F11; long distance sharpness of the subjects may drop by virtue of the fact that hold it in place with the camera body is not easy especially after you hold it in your hand for hours, it recovers a bit on the micro-rough decreasing the shutter speed or use a monopod or an emergency support. For those who want to have 600 mm at an affordable price I recommend it highly.

Pros: Affordable, great zoom range, light, lock on the different focal lengths

Cons: bracket unfit for transport, poor lens hood cap and hard to fix

Opinion: Objective bought in April 2016, and really a lot of use, scarrozzandomelo here and there among my mountains and beyond. The image quality has exceeded expectations since it is a superzoom with a range of focal lengths as wide. For maximum clarity, however, I recommend, where possible, to use f / 8. The bracket allows you to balance it well on the tripod but serves as a handle during transport. The lens hood cap is, as on many sigma, poor material and difficult to fix. Often jumps off during transport leaving the lens exposed. Definitely recommend it for anyone who does a lot of stalking even though they lack tropicalization.

Pros: Affordable, great Af, good sharpness even at maximum focal.

Cons: Bracket for short tripod.

Opinion: I have this lens in March 2016, it replaced the old 150-500 admirably, after much research I chose this especially for the zoom range. I was fully satisfied, the riprenderei.rnLo use very often, even in long commutes holding it in his hand, the bracket is short but you get used. Usable freehand without problems, the stabilizer is good and once you have set (via USB dock) seems improved for my needs. It comes with a carrying bag and extra strap to attach to bracket for those in need. I consider it a good buy as quality / price.

Pros: Sharpness and excellent optical quality, excellent construction and barrel, speed and precision autofocus, outstanding stabilizer, great opportunity to upgrade and customization functions via the dock, satisfactory Heaviness, lock possibility at all focal written on the ring (150-180-200- 250-300-400-500-600).

Cons: of short and uncomfortable support bracket for the hooking to a tripod and to hold it by hand, but it is not a serious problem.

Opinion: I spent a year studying everything I could find on the super telephoto 150-600 (even trying them) and at the end I chose this. And I'm super contento.rnIl Sigma C is really very sharp. Since I've so far been able to experience the aberrations are corrected well. The building is great and I did not detect any problem on my copy of the front / back focus (I've thoroughly tested with the focus chart) .rnI 2 weight KG are not unreasonable for the traveling fighter even if extended by several hours, to Instead of big brother Sport who, after 5 minutes of testing, I was doing to be wrong braccio.rnIl cost is slightly higher than the Tamron hand side, but in my opinion worth the price difference. Upon arriving, via the dock, I updated the firmware to version 1.02 which has improved compatibility and speed and precision autofocus. I also compared the shots, always made with my Canon 70D, with Sigma S and I have not seen notable differences. Probably to a laboratory test Sport is really more qualitativo, but in practice this difference did not see her. My copy is really good, in my opinion, even at 600 mm. Going to shoot in very humid areas (salt marshes of Comacchio, the Po Delta or embankments, etc.) the biggest problem on medium to long distances is not the lens, but the atmospheric humidity, temperature and pressure, so I think in these cases laboratory tests have a relativa.rnDiscorso validity except I do it for the stabilizer, which allows you to take a static subjects even at 1 / 35-1 / 40 of a second, becoming in fact a stabilizer 4 stops. It 'also the panning mode. The stabilizer is customizable via the USB dock and C1 and C2 mode with the button, allowing a visual stabilized in the camera viewfinder, which I consider very utile.rnL'autofocus function is very fast and extremely precise. I had the chance to try also the excellent Canon 100-400 IS2 (thank you for the NumeroQuattro exchange that we metin a trip to the Delta), and how we li.rnUno autofocus speed and accuracy of the reasons that led me to the choice of Sigma C rather than the Tamron it is the ability to update the firmware (something made just purchased) of ' Camera, in which Sigma improves efficiency and compatibility; I consider this a better option when Sending assistance in the target, resulting in detention for an indefinite period (the time difference is five minutes against 2-6 weeks !!!). In contrast I chose the Sigma Sigma C compared to S, tried directly, because of the huge difference in weight, and I really tried eccessiva.rnL'ho found in combination of 50D and 70D with x1,4 x2 multipliers and Kenko PRO DGX 300 and works with both. The normal course autofocus stops working while in live view has no problem, even with both cascaded multipliers, which becomes a 1680 f / 18 and maintaining an acceptable sharpness. With only x1,4 sharpness in my opinion remains ottima.rnIlplastic hood is light but very strong, so for me it bene.rnLa most of the barrel is made of plastic, to reduce weight, which, however, seems well made and gives strength and solidity to the barrel. I did not detect any play between the various filler can or lens parts. The bayonet is metal, very solid and correlated with a silicone sheath for the protection of the graft with the camera. The optical unofficially tropical conditions, in my experience has excellent resistance to agents (dust, moisture and water splashes) .rnUnico negative neo has the support bracket which, although made of metal, durable and easily removable , is a bit 'too short for the goal; I would welcome a second hole to screw and a little 'longest for a hand-grip plus final agevole.rnrnConsiderazione: super telephoto recommend this to anyone who does not want svenarsi with bianconi Canon or Nikon equivalent and do not want to shoulder1.3 KG more for Sport.rnrnVoto version: 10/10.

Pros: Good focus speed. Possibility 'of personalization using dock-usb. Very Robusto.rn

Cons: Bracket for the tripod a little bit, but nothing serious.

Opinion: Purchased for just over a month for 900 Euros, it is my first super telephoto, and I was fine right now. The quality / price / performance ratio is truly remarkable, rnha good speed 'and precision in focus, it is quite clear wide open, but F8 from the best. It weighs 1,830 kg is not so much for a 600, has a very good ergonomics, well-balanced. Very useful for all the block length of the dock focale.rnCon-usb can modify many parameters, focus, stabilizer, update the firmware, and customize 2 configurations that can be invoked via a selector Flare stesso.rnSigma It provides several very useful accessories, such as the rigid carrying bag, the shoulder strap, and a ring gummy to be applied when removing the bracket for the tripod. In addition, this lens has the rubber gasket on the attack bayonet-mail, this means that a small tropicalisation not be compared to that of the Sport series is clear, however qualchand splash of water and a bit of dust should not creagli problems. rnUna thing that I did not expect is no compatibility with the multiplier Kenko Pro 300 DGX 1.4x, but only if I mount on Canon 7D mk2 does not recognize me Sigma 150-600, the camera gives me the message: "not updatable firmware" . With other optics instead 7d mk2 + kenko 1.4x works fine. rnQuando instead use the Canon 550D and apply the multiplier kenko to sigma 150-600 everything works well, certain AF is slower but it works, and also pass all the shooting data. It states that all hardwere is updated to the latest versions. rnUna thing I highly recommend is the Sigma 95mm Protector Filter, the original is ish, I found it online at 78 Euros, but it's worth it, protects the lens and does not create any loss of quality.

Pros: Excellent overall Performance, taking into account the price. The ability to personalize through a dock is excellent. TWO Custom configurations selectable by selector. Very good Construction.

Cons: In my opinion only the bracket too small.

Opinion: I have this lens for two months now and I am very happy with the purchase. It was my first 600mm lens and I have to say that it wasn't all that easy at first. But slowly I'm taking my hand and recently gave me the first satisfactions. For its price I find it is excellent both as sharpness and as speed and accuracy of focus. The possibility of being able to modify the parameters, update the firmware and adjust the focus, through the dock was the thing that made me prefer it to the Tamron. I think that for third party objectives is a very important thing, to ensure compatibility with future camera bodies (to be seen, but for how long the updates will be released). I have done the calibration of the focus using the dock and, although already good immediately, is now much more accurate at every focal and distance. I Find that it is pretty sharp at all focal lengths and, at 600mm, I often click even at full aperture with good results. It comes with a beautiful rigid bag for transport and a shoulder strap to attach to the tripod bracket. A finesse the ring to be inserted in place of the tripod mount when you want to remove the latter. Perfectly Restores the aesthetics of the lens. The only flaw (albeit nothing that ') I find that is the tripod bracket too short. I obviated it with a longer Arca-Swiss sled and problem solved. A lens that I would like to fully recommend. UPDATE 22.04.2019 To Date I have this lens for 3 years now and I took about 17000 photos (I would say practically all birdlife). I fully Confirm the first impressions I wrote in 2016, shortly after having bought it. In October 2016, taking advantage of a small repair service, I asked them to let me adjust the autofocus. I came back perfect (no F/B obvious focus) with all the values of the dock-station zeroed (this way if you presented need I would have again all the range of adjustment available). I shoot almost always at full aperture and at distances between 3 and 15 meters and I have to say that the sharpness (for my needs) is very good at all focal. At greater distances, however, the quality falls. After three years of use, sometimes not too delicate, does not present problems if not a minimum of play (rotary) in the zoom (also present from new). After trying the various customization combinations of the selectors I prefer to use standard configuration which seemed to me the most accurate in terms of stabilization and speed of MAF. As a summary I can say that is a lens that I highly recommend to those who want to approach the birdlife. Removing the bracket reduces the weight and can also be used freehand, which is not just for those who practice itinerant hunting.

Pros: At 900 euro I think that there is a lens of this level and quality 'with accessories supplied and opportunity' to change the parameters distances autofocus and stabilization in piu'si GREATEST update firmawer lens with usb dock (which takes separately) if you want you can also use the sigma tc1401 ......

Cons: the bracket a little small and the hood a bit too plasticky ..but nothing earth-shattering ...

Opinion: I'm using it for a couple of months and I must say that I am satisfied ... from 150 to 450 from what I could see with his older brother in the Sport actual photos I did not see big differences but then 'after the focal especially 600 the difference is' significant in favor of Sport ..... pero 'closing at f8 / 11 can' give Conteporary great satisfaction ... the weight and 'more' content and it was what I was interested. In my humble opinion for the price and the features the Conteporary and 'highly recommended ..

Pros: Less than a thousand Euros we take a nice slow but at the time it can be displaced for people like mè comes from a 55,250 .stm that weighs like a coke in cans

Cons: bracket and hood a little shorter

Opinion: Those who buy for the first time a zoom like that and has no idea how the weight can be a problem, I tell you that I like running around the countryside and forests, the contemporary and acceptable to the skin of our teeth, for long imposed the knoll on his shoulder ready to use and the only way to not be back out of order, for the picture quality i would say that depends on how many iso bears the camera on board canon 6D but also 7D2, there is often over 1600 iso the optimal rest recommend

Pros: superlative quality-price ratio, the possibility of using the dock usb, Performing Sigma tc1401, supplied accessories

Cons: Bracket tripod ring, 600 mm undergoes a slight loss of sharpness.

Opinion: Optics from exceptional value for the price. Weight 1,948 kg with lens hood and without caps. Personally I use it to f8 up to 500 mm, 600 mm close to f11. Af even in light conditions not excellent responds well at any distance, just over 30 meters wavers and sometimes fails to focus on small subjects. With the multiplier mounted on nikon d750 loses a little something like autofocus, barely perceptible loss of sharpness and keeps all the automatic opening of any focal with af-c groups. Money well spent ... very light and excellent construction. As for the sigmone I got to try it together with the sports version, the weight of which is felt after just five minutes. In addition, the sharpness of his older brother to the focal maximum is just a little bit higher than the contemporary version. I would say that up to 500 mm behaves very nicely, then a slight drop in sharpness. also bought the dock usb: update the firmware without sending the optics is priceless. It also allows customizing it to suit your requirements in retion to af and os. Af limiter set at 10-30 and 30 m - infinity. It also allows fine adjustment 150, 250, 400 and 600 mm 2.8 - 6 - 15 and 30 meters. It also comes with transport bag x, x shoulder strap transportation to attack the ring, shell rubber to be used when the ring is released. Definitely recommended.

Pros: Excellent price quality, robust construction yet light when compared to the older brother Sport.

Cons: support bracket for tripod undersized (negligible), sometimes in poor conditions to 600 is not quick in the focus (competes with the D7100 machine). in essence I find important issues

Opinion: In my possession in July 2015, I must say that I am fine, even in adverse conditions. excellent optical view of its price. I do not find major problems, well worth the cost. If you are looking from a perspective distinct quality without having to spend large sums would definitely recommend it, the older brother, the Sport, it costs about 700 euro more and its rival Tamron is not weather sealed.

Pros: Good build quality, responsive and accurate autofocus, good sharpness at maximum focal even at full aperture to f8 things are much better.

Cons: Attack tripod improved, weight (but it is a 600 ...)

Opinion: I use it with the 7D and I must say that I am very well precise autofocus and responsive even in poor conditions, good sharpness even at maximum focal general, possess even the 400 / 5.6 Canon lens notably one more sharp and I have to say that looks affatto.rnCertamente is always hard to make comparisons because they are also two lenses diverse.rnPer regarding the stabilizer from experiments made me think do a good job even though freehand I used it very poco.rnConcludendo consider it a good purchase for the good quality of the shots and a really excellent value for money, with less than 1000 Euros you can not 'expect more'.

Pros: Good build quality, good quality even on DX format, precise autofocus, which can also freehand

Cons: Attack tripod undersized

Opinion: The use with Nikon D7100 with great satisfaction, fast autofocus while the stabilizer kicks in slightly later. I use it often freehand with the thousandth time with sufficient clarity. Considering the value for money I would recommend it. I think the attack on the tripod could be improved, as it allows you to grip it with confidence.

Pros: Good build quality, decent sharpness even at 600 mm and TA, af fast and accurate, excellent stabilization system.

Cons: Bracket undersized, but still enough.

Opinion: Taken for photo hunting and mounted on a good old Nikon D90, I can safely say that performs its job very well. We know that in the photo naturalistic mm count and often work in low light, as it is equally true that the focal extreme are the most delicate; However, even in critical situations and TA produces images more than decent, also assisted by an efficient stabilizer. It 'impossible the comparison with the "sacred cows" super bright or fixed focal length, but with regard to the quality / price ratio there is no history. Tested on D 7200, lightning autofocus in low light, razor-sharp pictures.

Cons: I would not know what to say flaws I found none.

Opinion: Purchased 3 days in store RCE Verona, rn At first glance I must say to the little experience that I have a tele really built very, very well, rnProvato Nikon D610 focus fast and accurate propio what I was looking very beautiful and .rnFoTo I must say very sharp I'm glad I recommend it to all lovers of ice telephoto lens at a very accessibile.rn

Pros: Quality / price ratio, autofocus, versatility, build quality, clear for how much (you can not compare to aobiettivi 5,000 EUR or more).

Cons: Bracket tripod short and uncomfortable, with little light is more difficult to engage the AF (but for its cost can not expect more).

Opinion: I took it to replace my beloved Sigma 120-400 I used Nikon D300. Having passed to the FF with the D750 I had become very corto.rnPrimissima impression: much improved construction, weight maggiore.rnPrimo use: it was love at first vista.rnOra I'm beginning to consocere better and begin to exploit its potential although not yet fully. I must say that the value for money is very good in my opinion. Only a few years ago nobody would have imagined buying a 600mm stabilized (albeit zoom) to 1000 Euros. I find it's well-built, with a great AF (fast and accurate) and equally good stabilizer. The number of clicks to place increased significantly compared to the previous coupled D300 - 120-400. Good lenses but not comparable to fixed TOP. But what I could not expect more than this amount? I think it's a good buy, I am fully satisfied. And in the end I realized that even a few pounds more stand it without much effort, even after a full day in excursionistsit. For me it deserves a full 9. Nine because it will never results slow to TOP and you can not disregard it but if I had to evaluate it for what it is, namely a 600 zoom 1100 Euros and also relatively light, it would deserve a full 10. Does its job very well, that for which you bought, even better than I expected from a lens of this value (very low compared to lenses TOP). The step-up from 120 to 400 (I speak at optical yield) was equal to that made by the body (D300 - D750).

Pros: Finished very well, put fire lightning, do not miss a beat and offers impressive details, take it home with ease beautiful frames.

Cons: Above 450 mm it is best used with a tripod.

Opinion: He bought three days with its USB Dock: I immediately updated the firmware. I use it in tandem with Canon Eos D70.rnMesso resting the Sigma 120- 400, which I used with Kenko pro 1.4.rnVivo on Lake Garda, then resume as well as in water, even in flight: egrets, herons, Pleiades, It happens when water rail ecc.rnSono very happy with the purchase.
