Pros: price

Cons: focus

Opinion: there is better around at the same price, poor resolution, bad focus species macro, I'm very disappointed I went back to using an old Nikkor 105 2.5 of 1978 that even if I have to use it in manual and does not read the light if not in stop down is much better. I had read excellent reviews and I also read here and for this reason I am very surprised by the not good yield and the difficulty of focusing

Pros: Value for money

Cons: AF at minimum distances

Opinion: I am more than satisfied. The only drawback in my humble opinion is the autofocus at minimum distances, which sometimes does not go well, but they are situations at the limit, in which I still prefer a manual focus. Overall for me it is worth more than it costs. Considering also the difference in price with the Nikon model, I personally would buy this Sigma without thinking about it.

Pros: Sharpness, colors, blurry, detail

Cons: Chromatic aberrations, focus breathing(?), noisy and sometimes inaccurate stabilizer.

Opinion: So, after 1 year of using this lens I think it's time to review it. I had the opportunity to try this lens in many respects and in many types of shots: Macro, urban, portrait, details. It's a really sharp optics and the colors it manages to get are very very satisfying. The only problem that I have unfortunately encountered are the excessive chromatic aberrations at the edges of each subject, which have colors that are difficult to remove with a simple click (purple, blue and green). Another problem I have encountered (I have not tried other models) is a focus breathing when using the focus ring. I also noticed that at the minimum focusing distance (ie 31cm) the aperture closes automatically at about f5.6, while if you turn the focus ring by setting it to infinity the aperture opens at 2.8, very useful in portraits and / or in some particular photo. The autofocus is quite noisy and in case of very close and small subjects it is difficult to use the AF. No problem, you turn the focus ring and the problem is solved, however, why not be able to fully use an included system? All in all the optics are good and once you know these small problems you adjust.

Pros: Niitidezza, blurred, colors

Cons: Stabilizer a little noisy, sometimes very "dark", not tropicalized

Opinion: I approached the macro genre a year ago, and I immediately bought this lens after reading reviews around. Initially I did not have great results, but simply because macro photo requires a great use of technique. Having acquired that and learning to master this sigma, it gave me enormous satisfaction. Fantastic sharpness, exceptional colors and wonderful backgrounds. Very difficult to use freehand, it is at its best on a tripod. Also exceptional for portraits. Be careful because it is not tropicalized. Using it often on damp mornings, one fine day it gave me communication error with the camera. I opened it (I'm a technician, you don't do it) and I found oxide on many connecting flats. Clean those is back to work. Great lens!

Pros: sharpness, colors, stabilizer

Cons: nobody

Opinion: I honestly didn't expect it, it was given to me for my twenty-fifth birthday, and it was immediately a great emotion to use it. I used to own the Tamron 90, but this lens in my opinion is of another category, in addition to the sharpness that distinguishes all macro optics, it has a fantastic bokeh, the background looks almost like a stained glass slab! Being a 105mm it is also great for portraits, although I prefer other types of photos. It is not tropicalized, but I do not see it too much as a con, in the end being a macro, you have to study the subjects and the scene well and you can hardly find one's photographing in prohibitive situations.

Pros: Quality, feeling and feeling

Cons: None apart from the delicacy of the stabilizer (turn it off before switching off)

Opinion: Many believe that the focal aperture is variable but what is variable is the f/stop on Nikon machines. I use it both on APSC and FF with excellent results both in macros and portraits and in other areas. In my opinion it is very performing and the stabilizer is very effective. I give 10 because there is no 9.6.

Pros: sharpness, colors, bokeh, price

Cons: maybe tropicalization

Opinion: Bought new for a few years I used it on Canon 700D and now on 80D and it never gave me any problems. The construction is solid. I really like blurry and color rendering. Sharpness is as good as value for money. Both at close range and indefinitely the maf is excellent although not very fast. Perhaps the only flaw, tropicalization, but it is not so indispensable...As I use it, as a passionate about photography, I find it excellent also for still life and landscapes. I like it a lot, I have a lot of fun and I highly recommend it!

Pros: price, nuanced, sharpness

Cons: cold colors, tragic maf at minimum distances.

Opinion: Used on Nikon D700 and D750. The excellent sharpness makes it very suitable for portraits and panoramas. For macros at minimum distances, turn elsewhere, I do not know if it is a problem of my new purchased specimen, but also the manual maf is highly problematic: while disabling all the automatic mechanisms, including of course those of the cameras, at the time of shooting it resumes blurring and "noiseing" and it is not clear why. I'm seriously thinking about replacing it with Nikkor 105 mm macro...

Pros: image sharpness, quality/price ratio

Cons: not tropicalized

Opinion: For both macros and portraits an excellent goal. Really hard to find him some flaws especially considering the price. Audible stabilization? Maybe in very quiet conditions, it's not a motor saw. Non-instantaneous focus? In macro I go manual and for portraits and landscapes I had no problems. If they are very very important parameters better to choose something else, but I think they are really borderline cases. Lack of tropicalization could be a problem for someone.

Pros: Detail, bokeh, price, very valid also for portrait and generic use.

Cons: Sometimes uncertain and very slow, you abjure manually in the research, compared to newer lenses it is a bit noisy, but nothing unbelievable.

Opinion: I had it on Nikon, and I recently purchased the Sony version (which is definitely better). Lens purchased in 2018 to make macros, I actually used it almost always for portrait /events, and I must say that it convinced me, clearly it has a slow focus, but I always used it in AF-C with excellent results. It is difficult perhaps to find the subject in the first place, you have to accompany the focus manually, then when he has found the subject instead he no longer has problems and keeps AF-C like any other lens (clearly for portrait use, macros are made in manual). Beautiful the bokeh and remarkable the detail, being macro we would miss, has a yield similar to modern portrait lenses, also allowing close shots that instead a similar portrait lens fails to perform, at the expense as already mentioned of the speed of focus and a less open diaphragm. As for the marco use, I also used it with extension tubes and it seems to me an excellent lens, it being understood that I do not have the patience for this type of photography, especially the management of manual focus stacking, but it is certainly not a defect of the lens. Nikon lens has internal stabilizer, useful for portrait, close up and generic use. As a focus and stabilizer it is a relatively noisy lens, but nothing excessive. Last note the price, on Nikon is really tempting.

Pros: Also sharp on aps-c (especially f/8 to f/11). Very good quality stabilizer (on aps-c with a little luck you can reach sharp photos up to 1s of exposure). Soft focus ring. Made of plastic but very robust

Cons: Sometimes it does not find fire if the subject is close but more distant than 0.42m. Noisy stabilizer. On nikon you get f/2.8 only by focusing towards infinity, the closer the fire is, the closer the diaphragm closes until you get to f/5.6. Soft at f2.8 (already at f4 you can see an excellent sharpness). The buttons are a bit hard. Focus breathing can make composition difficult. The focus ring is inverted compared to nikon obbietives, you have to make us the abiudine. Not tropicalized

Opinion: Well what to say, I think for 400 euros it's a good purchase, although the diaphragm that closes with focus can be occasionally frustrating

Pros: Cost, especially in the used market. Brightness. Sharpness.

Cons: A little ballerina focus, slow and noisy. Construction, a little too "plastic" (but let's also remember the price). Maybe a little heavy, I should try more.

Opinion: On Nikon system. I bought it used and resold it a few months later, I certainly could not make full use of it, but my experience wanted to be purely "experimental". I wanted to try to make some macros and I didn't have much results but, seeing what real photographers can do, I clearly don't blame the optics: you have to spend time on it. On the portrait better, its sharpness and brightness satisfied me to the full.

Pros: Stabilizer, construction, sharpness, focus limiter.

Cons: Weight, sometimes inconstant focus, somewhat chilly colors, bokeh.

Opinion: Good lens overall. Purchased for portraiture, with the possibility to do some details, and used only every now and then for the macro. Great stabilizer, but noisy. Inconstant focus, even with the selector it happens to pale and face back and forth for some time, forcing you to correct manually. (Used on 5D mark II.) There was a good lens overall, but for me also on FF the focal is long for the use I make of it. I didn't like the colors very much, I consider them not bright and "alive", along with the bokeh, cute but nothing exceptional. The sharpness is still excellent, like many sigma, as well as the construction, decidedly solid and heavy just to realize it, but not too much to fatigue. Eventually sold to fund more. For its main application, the macro, it is definitely a good goal, those few shots I did do it justice. But if, as I did, you think about buying this lens for portraiture and some precision shots, for example a close-up in the eyes, you might really be disappointed.

Pros: sharpening quality price

Cons: noisy and slow focus

Opinion: Target sigma 105 macro had for 50 days what I liked sharpness excellent blurry good construction a little plastic but good for the price it costs. What I didn't like noisy and not very precise slow focus. Replaced with canon 100 2.8 L (other thing) tropicalized 100 grams lighter excellent sharpness with sigma It is difficult to see the difference from one to the other blurred excellent more precise quiet and fast in focus and coast!!!!! If one takes shots on the drivestand manually focusing as most people do the sigma 105 is fine and spends less. If someone like me goes around with the montain bike and takes macro photos on the fly with freehand stabilizer the canon is better in everything and misses less photos. Sigma I recommend it but first try it !!! canon top but other expense:

Pros: Sharpness, blurry, build quality, price

Cons: Slightly noisy with OS active.

Opinion: One of the best macros I've tried. The sharpness is very good as well as the blurred is well rendered. What makes it, in my opinion, sensational, is the value for money. For less than 400 euros you can buy a lens that has nothing to envy to the Nikon or Canon, indeed. The only flaw is the noise of the focus when the OS is active, but it's no big deal, since you certainly don't have to start a wedding. In conclusion, I highly recommend it. Is spending twice as much on the Nikon macro worth it? In my opinion, absolutely not!

Pros: Optical yield, price

Cons: Not compatible with Sigma Optimization Pro software, a bit plastic construction, not tropicalized, noisy stabilizer and not too effective

Opinion: Optical yield better than the Nikon 105 which costs twice as much. Otherwise better the Nikon. Being a macro lens, where what matters is the optical yield, the cost that is half of the Nikon tends to make it a good alternative purchase. It is a sharper hair than the Nikon at the edges and has fewer chromatic aberrations. The af is as precise and fast as the Nikon (not a lightning without a limiter, but it is a macro lens). It's very annoying that it's not compatible with the Sigma software to calibrate the microregulation based on the distance of maf. With Sigma tc 14 it goes well and is great for moving insects like butterflies. Overall a good product. You can see that the lower cost compared to the Nikon is not only Nital and brand, because compared to the Nikon is clearly built worse and is not tropicalized, but with the money with which you buy this, you buy half Nikon, so in the end it's fine. I sold my Nikon 105 2.8 vr used because it was sated and not recoverable with microregulation af (20 was not enough): as long as I used it on static subjects in live view no problem, but for subjects on the move it became impossible. With the Sigma, I was fine with the broken headphone because "20 compensates perfectly and with tc 14 I just need a .11.

Pros: Sharpness, blurry, double stabilization, price

Cons: Noisy stabilizer, chromatic yield, weight

Opinion: Undoubtedly an exceptional lens for sharpness and blurry, but not suitable for portraits as it needs pp to attenuate the "extreme" effect, the cost is undoubtedly low for a stabilized lens even if in macro the is is serves little, the color yield at least for my exemplary canon attack seemed too micro-contrasted and on the 6D sensor the red and orange colors appear unnatural perhaps makes it better on Nikon sensor because I see extraordinary photos. The stabilizer is effective but damn noisy and sometimes transmits microvibrations to the mirror so much that it perceives it in the crosshairs, that to say is an opticthat that complicit in the weight and what I said I have never loved more than that, at the same cost (used) I would have preferred the counterpart Canon not i.s. P.S. Incredibly my specimen is not compatible with the Sigma MC-11 adapter

Pros: I still dream about it at night

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: I had this lens for 3 years in the set first with a 700d and then with an 80d. The bodies changed her no. I was going crazy. It has no tropicalization, sometimes it produces noises like the fanfare of the targets, but the latter point for my demerits. For the rest, great. At the beginning it took a few shots to take the hand with shooting times and openings, photos that, always for my demerits, were not really beautiful. But then goodbye, used to take pictures of objects, food, flowers, portraits also street, capture small details to the right and missing. Sometimes I used to take him to bed, not my wife. I take pictures out of passion and I'm not a professional but to this day, after years, it's the most beautiful lens I've ever had. Not having her anymore, as written by pros, I still dream at night.

I'll have done nn I know how many photos coupled with the nikond7200 and nn I look forward to trying it with sensor full format Unique flaw maybe it is the stabilizer a little noisy and if nn is set to infinity nn comes to 2.8 as opening but it is only to find the hair in the egg ..... with this lens is also that ahhahahahahahah

Pros: sharpenness, stabilizer

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: My first macro lens. Bought less than a month ago, I got to test it also in the field of portraiture. In the latter case, to be appreciated you have to be lovers of extreme sharpness, but in any case you can balance the thing by lowering the level of clarity on raw room. Going back to the primary purpose for which it was designed, my terms of comparison are with a 50 afd, to which I joined extension tubes. Of course, the comparison destroys the still valid fixed nikkor. Used on d7000, I hope I can test it on full frame as soon as possible. Fully promoted

Pros: Robustness, quality of materials and shutter speed

Cons: Lack of tropicalization

Opinion: I've been using it for almost 2 years and I'm really satisfied. I had purchased it to take the macro with the Canon 550d, since my Panasonic FZ1000 in macros does not do wonders in the rendering of images. I have always been very satisfied with this goal. Only thing I noticed that mounted on the Canon 5d MARKIII, at focal 2.8 tends to make a white circle when the light is too intense. Has anyone happened?

Pros: Sharpness, stabilizer, construction, accessories, colors, blurred, AF, price

Cons: Noisy stabilizer, tropicalization (but at this price you can not ask for more)

Opinion: After kit lenses It was my first serious fix. Purchased during an offer on Amazon at an exceptional price, the best money spent in the photographic field (and not only), it is worth them all and even more. A vision that I use with extreme satisfaction in portraits and clearly in macro. Scary sharpness even at TA and very pleasing bokeh. With the passage to the FF (D600) I appreciated more the surrender in portraiture and the focal, which on D3300 was a bit ' long, in the full format has taken a new dimension. Stabiliser efficient Although a little noisy but in macro (manual) No need, ergo.. Excellent equipment and quality construction. Stra-Recommended, at this price then...

Pros: light, crisp, well built, comes with bag and two lens hood, stabilized.

Cons: stabilizer a little noisy tends to underexpose with relationship 1:1

Opinion: I had a nikon 105 2.8 micro vr is a Zeiss makro planar 2 which I then sold for other purchases, I was undecided whether to go back to nikon or not, for Zeiss I don't think manual focusing is not for me. But then I noticed this sigma and reading various reviews I decided to buy it. . What bothers me most is the noise of the stabilizer, the rest who say I saved and I have good optics. I give him 9 as vote if it was art series I think 10 e lode, I have both the 50 mm that the 35 gorgeous art is little more than Zeiss.

Pros: Definition of high level, very good construction, price and stabilizer even if not the best but good

Cons: Versus? Nothing for me

Opinion: Purchased by a user Juza, I just say that I find it spectacular, has a detail that I did not imagine, used in portraits left me speechless in the macro despite having done only a few shots I returned the words .... truly exceptional. Pros: double stabilizer, sharpness, precise, blurred

Cons: nobody for now, indeed perhaps only the weight, but there is a quality objective

Opinion: I bought this lens after various readings and re-readings, I use it on a 650D canon and I find it really fantastic for its precision and speed both to f / 2.8 and use for portraits and both for its main feature MACRO, has a sharpness of fear that is making me really entertain, moreover the double stabilizer both vertical and horizontal allows you to shoot freehand without problems and in absolute safety because you can not always bring or have the time of the tripod. I do not know the yield on bodies FF but on aps-c I recommend it to 101%.

Pros: value for money, sharpness

Cons: weight, stabilizer a little noisy

Opinion: Lente from surrender (in my opinion) exceptional. Sharp, soft bokeh and very beautiful colors. Complete equipment. The construction is very solid without games (even on the hood). The sense in hand is of a level viewpoint. Perfection does not exist in fact the feeling of solidity is paid in terms of weight, but it is obvious with the easel that in macro is a must. Moreover the stabilizer allows a recovery of 2 abundant stops, not the 4 promises, but it is noisy. Nothing compromising but it feels.

Cons: stabilizer not the maximum and slightly noisy

Opinion: Undecided with the purchase after disappointment with Sigma 100/400 f / 4.5-5.6 DG OS HSM with a lot of problems.rnI was satisfied immediately after the first shots, fixed economic target, 2.8 perfect bokeh, my copy coupled with Eos 7 Mark II does not suffer from back front focus.rnFor macros and portraits is a blade sometimes too sharp, color rendering impeccable, I also use it for street and landscapes with excellent results recommended for the price-quality ratio

Pros: Incredible versatility: from portraits, to still life, to macro, with a blurry fairy tale all at a low price

Cons: Perhaps the stabilizer is not up to the most recent. but you shoot well at 1/60

Opinion: It is probably the most versatile fixed lens, with an excellent optical quality and really embarrassing in the portraits made with the maxi pixels at 36-50 Mp, where it allows the contrary of some fixed fixtures to approach to perform some details. The out of focus at 2.8 is piacevolernrnSulle macro quality just look at the photos, you can range from microscopic details with extension tubes, to magical effects similar to vintage lenses. Cons: Sharpness at TA

Opinion: A great optic that rivales without fear with the Nikon homologue by costing a third. Great for macro and portrait. Bokeh a bit nervous for my taste. Pros: Sharp

Cons: Overexposes (incorrect corrige) after fimware update no more (although with this lens the exposure is never very precise)

Opinion: Bought recently as the first macro target, the aperture f2.8 depends on the operating distance generally stands at f3 f2.8 only on distant subjects, in macro mode switches to f5.6. Noisy but functional stabilizer, excellent sharpness. I confirm that it tends to overexpose, it depends on the mode but generally around 1 stop (see note against). Great fact that the working distance remains unchanged not coming out the barrel that was a reason of my choice. Huge paralight and kit give two one for fullframe and one for apsc. Used sometimes for portraits and in my opinion both as a focal point and as a rendering is great just remove a contrast hair in post production. Used on nikon d7100.

Pros: Price and optical performance for sharpness

Cons: Exposure problems - below 2 EV - on 5DS R when used ar: 1: 1 or at any rate above 1: 2

Opinion: The lens is economical and offers good performance in terms of clarity, but if used for its macro vocabulary at reproduction ratios of more than 1: 2, a persistent under-exposure can also come to 2EV on body 5DS R! Rn. In practice, I have to set A +2 EV correction on the machine to get correctly exposed images in ambient light ar = 1: 1.rnrnMentre of my brother 150mm I can not say well, 105 are puzzled and I clarify that I'm not talking about a single tried lens: for Canon i Both non-stabilized and OS versions, and both on 5DS R have this problem, which I found and sometimes encountered on 5DIII.rnrn. Pros: Build quality, optical stabilizer, compatibility with Nikon Total (impeccable exposure and AF accuracy), no barrel lengthening, working distance, chromatic rendition, AF limiter, horizontal stabilizer deactivation for panning.

Cons: Nobody, the weight maybe?

Opinion: It is probably one of the best lenses ever produced by Sigma, both at build quality level and virtually total compatibility on Nikon, precise AF and fast enough for a macro (has selectable AF limiter), excellent on all Nikon machines had (DX Entry and semi Pro, then FX), good chromatic yield although very micro contrasted (but it is a macro); In macro it has a good operational distance and without barrel lengthening, also the stabilizer helps a lot in the macro 1:1 free-hand sort if it goes down under the safety times (on DX I have taken macro to 1/60 freehand); At short distance is a blade also in TA on reduced size with only a few AC up to F4, while it tends to be soft used as tele (must be diaphragmed 5.6), on full size is impeccable, no AC, Ultra sharp both at close distances and in Untilizzo from Tele g there at TA; Although it is a macro is also interesting in the portrait, with a very soft blur of what is in the background with a definite detachment (which as far as not compatible with my liking is quite enjoyable), limit in post production then give a-15 -20 both of contrast and Chia Safety, honest but not superlative bokeh; Generally I recommend it to start taking macro (even freehand), not as a portrait lens although it can be a useful alternative to approach the subject and take details of the body; Perhaps only downside the weight species on DX entry bodies or semi Pro where it is quite unbalanced.

Cons: A bit heavy and massive IS a little noisy.

Opinion: I used it on Canon D70 and I found it right from now on. The IS is efficient and functional, the focus is fast enough and without uncertainty, the blur is pleasing and the nice color rendering, lively microcontroller. Dimensions and weight are noticeable and the image stabilizer drains batteries a bit but I can not make comparisons with other stabilized optics because I do not have them. The advice.

Pros: unbeatable quality / price ratio, strength, endowment (pouch and two lens hood), af accuracy, fast enough, good stabilization.

Cons: A little 'pesantuccio, the af speed is not like the Canon usm (but not the price!).

Opinion: It's a great goal for both the macro and as canvases portrait, one nice blurred. The af is not lightning but more than enough for the kinds mentioned above, by inserting the limitation 0.45 m do not have any problem of slowness in the portraits. The sharpness is good already at TA, it efficient and not too noisy stabilizer. The optimal allocation, with padded carrying case, the lens hood to FF, plus an "extension" that can be inserted between the lens and the lens hood when used on aps-c. He will have something less than the Canon 100L, especially the price !! Highly recommended !!

Pros: Accurate, silent, fast enough. Excellent standard equipment (carrying case, two APSC / FX lens hood). Distinctiveness (color rendering and blurred). Price could not be beat.

Cons: The maximum aperture remains almost always blocked f3min (on FF) and 3.3 on the rest Apsc.rnPer fault anything.

Opinion: Really a nice tool. It is his duty and does it well: it's accurate, and although it is a macro, maintains a certain romantic tone, with a blurred very mushy and muffled, and exceptionally accurate color rendering. Very suitable for all applications, not afraid to nothing. The stabilizer acts appropriately. It resists quite well to shoot lights (some sferocromatismo margins chrome surfaces, but nothing dramatic) .rnHo could see for themselves that resembles the Nikkor 105 f2.5ais, as a character, although the Nikkor has an unbeatable crystalline yield, perhaps due to tecnologica.rnOttimo another generation.

Pros: Value for money

Cons: Not at the TOP of macro forces.

Opinion: Definitely a good compromise in relation to the non-negligible factor quality / price. Little to say but praise for this little gem of SIGMA home. Light, quiet and very powerful, if we are slightly less bright, "plasticky" than NIKON home but still well executed. Following the advice of my good friend Alberto Ghizzi Panizza (you can find an interview on my website), to carry out macro pressures, personally I use it almost always coupled to a micrometer slide Minadax of three-way head Manfrotto, annular LED flash AHL- HN100 Amaran and, when i want more detail, use the KENKO extension tubes. However, perhaps, in this, the optical Nikkor is slightly better but still a recommended goal.

Cons: There was also a f32

Opinion: excellent yield and excellent stabilizer, silent and effective motorizazione. Pros: Sharpness, bokeh, colour rendition, excellent usability of optics, even for portraits or for general shooting; Also relatively light, that is: feels and feels good that on the machine you have a tele, but not disproportionate!

Cons: Maybe a Pelino "Plasticoso" to the touch: I have (happily) also the 85 1.4 always of Sigma, and as a construction the latter seems a little more robust... On APS, I confirm what others have said before, the maximum opening never falls under F 3.0. On FF, however, we arrive (even if at distances not very close) without problems to f 2.8. Update to 16.1.2019: The stabilizer has been "party" for almost a year. And I read in the forums that are not the first nor the second buyer that happened. The optics go well even so, but, of course, the possibility of breaking the stabilisation mechanism must be weighted before the purchase.

Opinion: Superb optics! Beautiful colors returned, the bokeh pleasant in portraits (which is not of the type "scorched earth behind the subject" but is very very pleasant, quite different than the old-fashioned macro so "rough" in the out of focus). For portraits I use this 105 and the 85 1.4 always of the Sigma: they are complementary, I am sorry to anyone who is in doubt between the two, but they would actually be owning Entrabi! It is not better the one or better the other, they made both excellent (I emphasize.... excellent!) but different... Personally I prefer paradoxically this 105, which has not been done electively for the portrait but lends itself to the purpose beautifully! The yield recalls that of the Nikkor 105 2.5 Ais..... crisp and with a fuzzy, colorful, and that, while still being "visible", not only does not disturb, but rather "enriches" and is a valuable frame to the subject portrait... I use it on my little son.... who has no wrinkles, though! :-) Update to 16.1.2019: The stabilizer has been "party" for almost a year. And I read in the forums that are not the first nor the second buyer that happened. The optics go well even so, but, of course, the possibility of breaking the stabilisation mechanism must be weighted before the purchase.

Cons: No only the diaphragm reaches maximum f22

Opinion: Excellent lens with an honest cost. It has a color rendering scream. The colors are vivid and the focus is creamy. Already 2.8 is magnificent. It has nothing to envy against the Canon 100mm. Opinion: Few optics have a satisfactory value-for-money like this. Exceptional in portraiture, with beautiful blurry. In the macro, it does not disappoint expectations with high quality images, even if coupled with a 1.4x Sigma teleconverter, with which there is a complete compatibility of all automations. Cons: still has not found

Opinion: I bought this ob. for the macro, but I find myself using it mainly for the portrait. Splitting the hair and that's what I want. I believe that to soften the image you can always use the PP. The bokeh is not discussed. Perhaps it is a little heavy, but this feature "negative" in Realto gives you the feeling you are holding a solid object and substantial. It 's my favorite goal and when I mount on my D750 I am sure not to miss a beat. I advise. The cost-performance ratio make for me a gem.

Opinion: It's impressive how the image will be clear already at full aperture. The bokeh is nice, but what I liked most is the color rendering faithful to reality. Often the objectives Nikkor not seem to make more faded colors (fixable flaw in PP without problems), but this does not need it. The photos come from the already almost perfect machine, with bright colors and a wonderful 3D effect. I do not know how to explain why he had problems back focus beyond 90 cm away from the subject, while in the macro function was perfect; in any case, by correcting the defect on the settings of the machine it went all right and I would give it a 10. Defends himself very well in the portraits, some do not have to claim the fuzzy various F: 1.2 / 1.4, with a soft tonal contrast and transactions which if necessary can be increased. Lately I also tested with a Nikon D700 lent by a friend, I have to say with a reflex ff us to higher levels of quality, sharpness, bokeh. Although it is a macro lens (R 1: 1) is defended great even in the portrait. But what amazed me is the excellent craftsmanship and build quality (made in Japan), which combined with a super affordable price makes it one of the objectives sigma (and not only) most successful in recent years.
