Pros: Weight, Dimensions, Overall optical yield, Price, Possibility to mount filters (67mm)

Cons: Some flare, "Resistance" in poor backlight

Opinion: Calculating the price certainly can not expect the optical yield of wide-angle lenses of another price range. But not for this, the lens is of good construction with minimal dimensions and weight, I use it with Sony A6000 and the combo I find very good for image quality and compactness. Some AC with open diaphragms, but for the use I make of it, exclusively landscape on easel, (I have never dropped below f / 5.6), does not present problems. What instead turns out to be problematic, is when you shoot against the light with the sun in the frame, unfortunately the coating of the front lens does not allow strong backlight, and often generates some halo / flare ... unlike what is said, the distance scale on my copy is perfect, perhaps because having taken it used I had the opportunity to test it well before buying it, the sharpness is very good between f / 8 and f / 11. The thing that I find cmq very important is the possibility of mounting filters with 67mm thread, in the end with a cost of 160 € (used) you can take home good images, difficult to ask for more ....

Pros: Sharpness, colors, weight, price

Cons: calibration of the infinite distance scale (and not only...)

Opinion: Exceptional optics for sharpness (at f/2 is already a blade) and color rendering. I used it on both XPro2 and XT10 and with both sensors it gives excellent results. A few aberrations at full opening but easily solvable in PP. For this price it is an absolute must-buy. Keep in mind that the scale of focus distances is completely blown to infinity (and even a little earlier): the problem is not appreciable in optimal light conditions due to focus peaking, but in cases of poor light it turns out to be annoying as the electronic noise in the EVF makes the manual MAF more difficult...

Pros: Sharpness, lightness, great opening f.2

Cons: Chromatic aberration

Opinion: Excellent sharpness ! Compared to the emblazoned Fuji zoom 10-24, at 12 mm is better than the Samyang ! Amazing but verified ! There is the problem of chromatic aberrations on the periphery of the frame, they are easily eliminated with Capture One Express for Fujifilm. ( but there are ) I, like others, have found the infinite focus on the L and not on the symbol. I, like others, also use Focus Peaking for THE MAF which I find very efficient. Physiological and controllable distortion. Nothing to detect in negative. Recommended.

Pros: sharpness, colors, bokeh, lightness

Cons: Infinite focus.

Opinion: I had this lens for some time on Fuji Xe-2 / XPRO1 and I had a great time, but in the end I sold it. Why? simply for my use was too WIDE. I love landscape but I don't like landscapes taken from afar to the point where I can't distinguish anything except zooming in. In other cases I would shoot too many useless things and could not always be excluded from the pp photo. I prefer to put in the foreground a subject taking advantage of the large area behind and in that case it was great, but in the end I opted for the 23mm (35mm FF). The only flaw is to focus on infinity, which alas in my model did not coincide, but was slightly before the "L". Cmq for the price paid is worth the expense, if it cost 400 euros absolutely not.

Pros: Sharpness, colors, lightness, construction, character, filter thread, psychedelic

Cons: I don't know at these figures, doesn't have the contacts to communicate with the machine body

Opinion: Purchased for Fuji X-T1 and X-E2S in The Walimex Pro version (they seem to be the same) on Amazon Warehouse Deals (so double deal) I have to confirm all the positive reviews posted on the "tube" by different photobloggers. First of all, this lens - which was made specifically for ML - is very light and perfectly responsive to the philosophy of this series of mirrorless fuji: fair prices, small size (my cervical thanks, the Nikon DSLR kit rests...), sharpness already from f:2, faithful colors and above all CARATTERE to sell. Already the jpeg are great freshly baked, if you want to correct in PP and eliminate a bit of vignette (it's a 12mm!) and reduce that bit of distortion (it's a 12mm!) there is for all tastes. Aberrations I do not seem to see (I do not go to enlarge to 300%, I do not care...), something will be there but it does not concern me, BLURO (fantastic to play with the prospects) instead beautiful, minimum distance of focus around 20cm. The only feature of this series of lenses (I had two, one I sold the second I hold it very tight) is the calibration of the infinity focus indication. To focus indefinitely you do not have to get to the end of the race (I recommend gentle movements) but stop a little before (god, on the first lens was true, this that I own now instead is perfect, go and understand...). Concluding a lens to have in a travel kit, from street, from architecture. I mean, I'm going to HAVE. Small note in the margin: some FUJI wide lenses - which I would instinctively prefer to this - left me cold, this one instead won me over immediately.

Pros: compactness, general yield, price value, f/2 opening

Cons: distances indicator busted

Opinion: Taken used at not even two hundred ii was pleasantly surprised by the yield: it can be used even at full opening and is fabulous as a travel lens: small, compact and quality. Perfect as a lens to take to the mountains, manual focus is not a problem thanks to focus peaking. It's worth all the euros it costs.

Pros: Sharpness, construction, dier, weight and compactness, price.

Cons: Chromatic aberrations, rear stage, star effect, quality control.

Opinion: Bought twice first couple horrible soft corners very disappointed only after a few years bought again on the advice of a nice photographer friend the amazing surprise the first couple difference. Current couple bought new with 5 years guarantee very good angles already at f2.8 amazing at f5.6 where it reaches maximum sharpness center and corners. Really excellent construction in metal and plastic perfect focus I find at the end of the dial unlike first couple where I never understood exact infinity focus. Astro Photography we recommend if you find great couple. I wondered but how two pairs Samyang 12 f2 same optics so much difference ?. Cons: Samyang 12 f2 very high chromatic aberrations poor lens treatment unlike Zeiss Touit 12 great slow treatments but costs a lot unlike the Samyang 12 plus the Touit 12 electronic only manual focus with rubber dial ?. Flare I do not know to the always problematic focal. Rear cap can change with another after trying different at the store expected very fixed ok. For 320.00 euros paid really amazing ratio yield and costs. Cons: Quality controls variations couples find a great couple you will find a real gem.

Pros: satisfied with the yield, very low weight, die

Cons: nothing to report at the moment. I reserve to add something in the future if necessary edit: very usable to TA, but from the reviews I had read I expected more. slightly closed, sharpness increases sharply. used to fuji lenses I would say that it is not the maximum color rendering, but it settles in pp (or via picture style) in a moment.

Opinion: Bought new in late August 2019, fuji version. Specific date because I carefully studied several reviews and tests, sometimes dated. I do not know if it is a chance or has improved the design of this optics, but it seems fair to point out that: -I tried to take shots at close objects, the lower distances marked on the barrel are accurate. First breath of relief. -With the palpitations active the maximum magnification, point to chimneys at least a hundred meters away, the peaking highlights the contrasting edges. Turning the dial still a few mm the peak does not disappear, I continue until they go out of focus, then go back to a midpoint to catch the cusp of the maf. Shot. I control the dive, it is PLACE ON THE INFINTT. I sigh with relief, I don't move it and do other tests. Later the pc vision will confirm the correct maf a oo. -The dial of distances comes to the meter, for maf between 1 and 3 meters about the correct distance on barrel is between 1 and oo, besides you go directly to infinity (hyperfocal apart of course) -I did not find a "game" between lens and machine body as I expected , does not move at all once hooked. -As you'd expect, the TA top detachment (remember it's f/2) isn't the best for objects that are too close, while at 5.6 it does their best. -Chromatic aberrations sometimes present, but visible to monitors with magnifications well above 100%, easily corrected. On LR (and also CR in theory) is atato added the lens profile for automatic corrections, so nothing more immediate. -It's good-mouthed, but caps and lampshades on my specimen remain in place. They've been tossed for a whole day in the bag, they haven't moved. I do not rule out that wear can make the situation worse, but despite being absolutely critical and prevented after what I read around I must say that after a busy day I was pleasantly amazed. I do not know if the construction protocols have improved, if on the new (less wear) it goes better, or if it is just luck, but I can only recommend it warmly. I reserve the right to return in two months (two scheduled trips in this time frame) to report any deterioration.

Pros: Brightness, construction, sharpness, lampshade

Cons: Personally nothing relevant

Opinion: Taken on Amazon used as new at a price of less than 190 euros is an optic softh of which I am extremely satisfied. Very usable at full opening becomes excellent closing by a couple of stops. The distortion is within the acceptable limits for the focal and if you hold the optics in bubble is still minimal. I am not a lover of hyperfocal use and find the assisted focus on my A6000 very valid. I use it mainly for historic streets and urban locations. I absolutely recommend it if you know and know how to manage the limits of use of wide-angle focal thrusts. ........... UPDATE as of January 31. After months of heavy use I can only confirm the very positive rating. The only problem encountered was the chromatic aberration in particular light situations such as foliage and branches tangled with the sky as a background to the maximum openings and difficult to correlate, at least with my software ON1 Photo Raw 2018. But by closing the diaphragm the problem is greatly reduced and, I repeat, it manifests itself only in very particular situations. Discreet resistance to flare. I'd buy it over a thousand times.

Pros: Crisp, excellent construction, chromatic rendition

Cons: Some flare in adverse conditions

Opinion: Economic lens but from the value for money exceptional, very clear to TA, really minimal distortion despite the focal, pleasant colors, great for night photography as well as landscape. Metal and glass construction, small and well-made, light the right, very smooth and pleasant to use rings. Set to infinity is always all in focus, in case you want to blur the background (possible thanks to the wide aperture and the reduced distance of MAF) to focus closely is a minimum more complicated, because you have to be careful what is in focus and what not , nothing relevant, but when it is more ' ' ' ' ' ' complicated ' ' compared to focal more ' narrow and bright, very useful to enlarge the display and viewfinder in this case. I also noticed some flare too much in backlight, even here nothing important. I would like to have the Fuji 10/24 to be able to compare the yield, this samyang I find it exceptional, highly recommended!

sent on May 20, 2019

Pros: Light, extraordinarily sharp, irrelevant distortion, saturated color rendition, good flare correction in backlight thanks to the lens hood, excellent value for money.

Cons: On Sony the aperture value is not displayed in the viewfinder and display.

Opinion: Used, all in manual, on Sony a6300 and a7RII (equivalent to an 18mm) produces clean and very beautiful files, both in terms of sharpness and color rendition and three-dimensionality. The manual focus, also thanks to focus peaking is fast and accurate. An ultra wide angle that, used in hyperfocal, allows you to always have everything in focus, from the very first floor to infinity. Indispensable in street photography.

avatarjunior
sent on February 05, 2019

Pros: Opening at f 2.0, light but at the same time not plasticous, good chromatic rendition, price

Cons: Flare, very rigid infinity focus ring adjustable only with peaking and LiveView

Opinion: Bought on Amazon Warehouse deals at €217.00 This lens is very bright, ideal for landscapes is the lens I was looking for on my Olympus OM and M10 Mark II. It allows you to take pictures even with 1/10-1/20 times at full aperture even without tripod since with the body stabilization compensates from fable. Only downside to the flare which is downright annoying rating 8.

avatarsenior
sent on January 31, 2019

Pros: Aperture F/2, bright, really nice color rendition, quality/price, material

Cons: MAF ring does not specify (to this day I still have to understand if the focus on infinity is only offset or is a problem of my model)

Opinion: I purchased this strong lens of the very positive comments and reasonably priced price. At the beginning I had serious intention to sell it immediately, it seemed quite mixed and I had (and still are) problems with the ring of MAF. I still haven't figured out whether it's just out of the box or if it's just a problem with my model, but in many cases with focus peaking I can't tell if Infinity actually focuses or if it's not perfectly focused. As for the aperture, a f/5.6 is perfect on most of the frame, as well as from MTF. Speech colors, outdoors I realize that the color rendition is really good. Focal certainly great for vast landscapes, although, as mentioned before, I have the impression that on infinity is not perfectly in focus (but maybe it is normal given the hyperfocal). Contained dimensions and weight also. Lens hood included all in all good.

Pros: Good sharpness, but not excellsa, good colors and contrast, bright. Good construction

Cons: A bit of chromatic aberration, manual focus ring a little hard, Spartan finishes

Opinion: I took this lens for its brightness, for evening and night shots. My pana G80 obviously does not recognize it and if it is set the stabilization requires the focal length at the ignition, since it is then stored. The diaphragms are manually set on the lens, the information does not pass to the machine, but the light meter works, in manual or at aperture priority. The Exif report aperture 0. Focus fairly easy with focus peaking, if you do the due attention. Compared to the Pana 12-60 kit, which is very good at 12mm, is slightly less sharp, especially at the edges, but has better colors and contrast.

sent on September 21, 2018

Pros: Lightness, F/2.0 diaphragm, sharpness, possibility to put filters without adaptor

Cons: Little Fluid Focus Ring

Opinion: Recently purchased, but from what little I have used it I can say it is a good wide angle for a mirrorless, I use it on a6000 and having the focus peaking the problem of manual focus resolves easily, there are in the shots a bit of abberations and the Distor That it is normal for a 12mm to have, nothing that can not be corrected in PP

avatarjunior
sent on August 20, 2018

Pros: Construction, smoothness, sharpness, color

Cons: Correctable Distortion, mf not immediate, chromatic aberration sometimes annoying

Opinion: Excellent lens, well assembled and sturdy. It gives back the feeling of a return to photography, that thought. The sliding of the ring nuts is pleasant and soft. Undoubtedly a beautiful object. At the beginning I had some problems of MF but very calmly and patiently I was able to find the right feeling. Obviously it is not a "frame and shoot" lens but it requires attention and reflection on what you are doing. And that's what I prefer. Sharp but not a blade. The distortion is present but it is also normal for a focal of this type. The rather sore note is the chromatic aberration (blue, violet) that is solvable in PP but to a certain point. Sometimes it seemed more accentuated, sometimes (often) bearable. It is however one of the goals that I always carry with me and mounted on the Fuji X-T20 makes its figure. Very recommended even considering the price.

Pros: Sharpness, weight, size, micro contrast and three-dimensionality, precise manual focus, excellent value for money

Cons: Flare exaggerated in backlight difficult to correct in pp, starry, distortion (easily corrected in pp), purple chromatic aberration (correctable in pp also this). Front cap that does not fix very well.

Opinion: Good lens. Great sharpness and colors. Distortion present but easily correctable, ditto the AC. The only "real" problem is the flare really annoying and difficult to correct in pp. Great construction, really solid apart from the really cheap front cap. If you find it used at a good price (as I recommend it)... Rating 8 (only for the flare if also 9) UPDATE FEBBRAIO 2020: the star despite the diaphragm closed to f13 is really horrible in my opinion, you can not distinguish just the rays, I continue to use it waiting to switch to FF completely between some Time... So I recommend it especially for weight and compactness

Pros: beautiful clear, brightness, size and weight.

Cons: flare, back cap

Opinion: Perfect for night photography ... I've been to the Lofoten for the Northern Lights, and I never broke it at night. I preferred it to 14 2.8 Fuji because it costs less than half, it is wider, lumoinoso, and smaller and lighter.rnSoffre the flare, that yes, but the perfect lens that used costs € 250, does not exist yet.rnQuality / price does not beat.

avatarjunior
sent on December 09, 2017

Pros: Compact, well built, reasonable price, very clear.

Cons: It is not autofocus. The star on the lights is not very beautiful.

Opinion: I use it on the a6000, I wanted a wider wide angle and a higher image quality than the 16-50 kit in landscape photos. I was not disappointed, the lens is very clear and the angle of view allows you to take very suggestive photos. The large depth of field with closed diaphragms allows better than the kit to have clear both the foreground and the background. In addition it is very bright, so even at night opens many possibilities (even if for a year that I have not yet managed to take pictures of the starry sky). It will be my inadequacy, but the absence of autofocus is not irrelevant to me as they say in many: on landscapes and static subjects ok, no problem, but on moving subjects is another thing, especially when it is necessary to exploit its brightness and then focus accurately. In that case I open at f2, I focus with the magnification at most (if not I do not understand anything), then close the diaphragm chosen (when notI forget it). On the other hand, the hyperfocal shortcut allows you to have the scene entirely QUASI in focus, but nothing perfectly in focus. So I wonder, what is the use of cameras and ultra-sharp lenses and then have soft photos because not perfectly focused? So I would not mind having a similar lens, maybe even 2.8, but autofocus ... rnEverything I noticed, looking at photos of landscape with grazing light I see, to my impression, too macrocontrasto, so I often open the shadows and / or increase the exposure in PP. Ultimately a nice goal, but a bit 'specialized.

Pros: Power, brightness, ease of use, diaphragm ring

Cons: Flare and aberrations

Opinion: Taken used and immediately put to the whip. I tested it during a trip to Lake Braies and the three peaks of Lavaredo and I can feel more than happy for the results. The infinite indicator had already been corrected by the previous owner so focusing was a game. What to say, made great, blurred af / 2 for close-ups nice, excellent construction! The X-T1 viewfinder has helped me a lot, even without the use of peaking, you can focus on a disarming simplicity, even with diaphragms open.rnAttention to flare. In conclusion it is a crime not to have it in stock, make photos in manual with this quality is really fulfilling!

Pros: cheap, solid, value for money

Cons: focus ring, rear cap

Opinion: At first I was skeptical whether to take it or not because of the lack of automatisms ... Once I took the first tests I made it always fitted! The infinite focus ring should be slightly stopped before the end of the race is the corresponding cleat, I do not know if it was not going to focus on infinity at the end but maybe it was more comfortable. Once the infinite fire position is found there is no longer to worry about. Mounted on the xt-10 perfect coupling for compactness and lightness! For the price paid the quality is really great! Ah ... on my back cap easily removes, I tried with different caps of other fuji targets but always the same thing, nothing relevant though!

Pros: Lightweight, small, bright, sharp, economical.

Cons: Aberrations and vignetting at large openings.

Opinion: There is little to say. The most honest Samyang. Image quality at the top at a low price. There are no alternatives to this fantastic lens at any price. It suffers a bit of chromatic aberrations but they are easily resolved with a click. For the rest there are no defects. Its fantastic brightness assists a lot with mirrorless as my a6000, which are not really monsters in ISO management and can even afford a few nights.rnVoto: 9

Pros: Lightweight, bright, sharp, economical

Cons: AC, hail loop

Opinion: Very solid construction and good yield. Only faults are the ACs in the backlight and the hood of poor quality compared to the rest. My specimen has the very precise and fluid maf ring. The diaphragms are handled perfectly without too much trouble. Good at night and in low light. On a6000 works very well, and along with it is a very compact Wide.rnFitted to everyone? I do not think ... Because the manual focus and the fixed focus make it suitable only to those who are used to it.rnIt is definitely advised given the sale price.

Pros: Wonderful optics that can also be used for macro, great detail and definition, fine grain, sharp and usable even in TA ... Distortion almost absent I would say ... Very quality in 59mm ...

Cons: The distance ring was not accurate, in fact at first i was very disappointed with the yield, but the problem was that the focus was bumped on the infinite and returned poor quality files, but once the point was found where to put it infinitely, WOWWWW comes out of files that do not envy you any other lens ... AC easily resolved on CR, lens cap not very good even if it is closed the same glass ...

Opinion: Beautiful lens that returns great quality files on all points of view, so there's little to say, who buys it does not hang on, indeed, it realizes that it returns excellent files like the best optics .... Click in Manual on many fringes it's 300,000 times better than the autofocus, I got used to 2 seconds and so I open a world of MF vintage lenses that cost a little but they do so much so you can have fun without having to faint economically ..... In short, everything is perfect .. !! rnrn For those who love landscaping and macro, just a Sony a6000 16-50 kit and this 12mm wonder to have the complete kit with about a thousand euros, but with high quality results and unmistakable clutches .... Super Satisfied One Thousand x one thousand, and I do not say why it is spoken about a party taken with sony, but I think I'm aiming to look at the files of other brands etc etc .... If I went back I would make the same identical choices, especially for the a6000 or at maximum I would take the smooth, but the maximum would be both of them, in fact thereI'm thinking ...: D

Pros: Excellent sharpness, vivid colors, brightness, solid construction, value for money, including lens hood, convenient and precise focus ring, "snapping" diaphragm ring

Cons: It suffers a bit of flare in backlight, especially in open diaphragms, good contrast only to more closed diaphragms

Opinion: I had this lens on Fuji aps-c, with the xt10 and now that I went to micro 4/3, with the Olympus em10 mark ii.rnSu fuji was an exceptional 18 f2, (equivalent to full frame), on 4 / 3 corresponds to a 24 f2.rnI repacked because it has an extraordinary price ratio, it is solid, all metal, small enough, it is very sharp, it makes colors good, has a f2 opening and is convenient to use for Focus and diaphragm rings, precise and comfortable to maneuver.rnThe diaphragm loops well, with a different feeling when it closes 1/3 of stop since it closes one stop at a time and this allows you to use it Without having to look at what opening you're taking, just counting the most decided shots. "The fuji aps-c is really large, although it suffers a lot of flare and the pictures at f2 and f2.8 are a little soft; You need to close at 5.6 to get a good contrast and minimize the flare.rnSu 4/3, using the most centrLens, (it changes only the attachment), is much sharper and contrasted to full aperture and this makes it interesting also for portraits or shooting in the foreground with the blurry background. It gives the best at 5.6, where, among other things, everything is in focus from about 1 meter to infinity (the depth of field equates to full frame f11). On the other hand, it is much less extensive, but not particularly fond of images that "exaggerate" the proportion between the foreground and the rest of the frame, I use it much more than fuji.rn it would be great to have a samyang 10 f2.8 dedicated to Micro 4/3, so smaller, costing like this, with the same performance but slightly wider.rn they would buy in so many!

Pros: Size and weight, sharpness, brightness

Cons: backlit performance, can give "habituation"

Opinion: Before choosing this perspective I have read many reviews, both technical and those supplied by the users / clients. The quality-cost ratio is high but this I can only say now that I've got to try it. My version is matched with a body Panasonic / Lumix GX80 machine on which no backlash Bayonet / plug not known. The ring of fire system is manageable, not too hard but not too soft. Maybe I would have preferred a slightly wider / deeper ring but also goes so well. This combination, at least in my case, has proved successful in so far as known not so high a level of chromatism / overt as described by numerous tests (in which I believe, to point) and that indeed find rather content. The fire control system used by the GX80 (peacking focus in particular) is ideal to take advantage of optics such as this that over the whole offers a good brightness. The geometry of the image are well controlled, unknown obvious tendencies of "coloraction "of the image. The weight and size do not create any problem in practical use in every situation and nitidizza is very high on any field (in general). In backlight suffers a little bit of flare and the use of the lens hood is unavoidable (which seems only normal considering that we are talking about a wide angle.) the more the more it gives me pleasure to use ... which could cause problems when one needs to change perspective. "Remove it "from the camera body it will be really hard ....

Pros: A real gem!

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: This little gem from more than affordable price I got it for use with my APS-C Sony since I felt the need to have a lens with focal length 17/18 mm equivalent to 35mm. I'm thrilled for both overall quality and for sharpness at all apertures. Even at f / 2 of close subjects it allows a focus worthy of optical different caliber or presumed least for name and price. E 'small, light and robust, has a nice plastic lens hood and a pouch to store it when you take it out of the car only to not have the feeling of bringing this welded. In iperfocale you can shoot without worrying about focus, but if you must focus when focus manually focus is not a problem on generous display today and especially with the focus peacking Sony.rnPer photo Night landscape and has a value hardly beat. Those who do not have or has not tried it can not understand what can be achieved with less than 300 euro on focal wide-angle as well. Chromatic aberrations, the declines at the edges, The lack of Af, the lack of the aperture scale for the depth of field and the hyperfocal utterances such as defects by some, in this case for a personal my opinion are not to be considered as such, form only part of the game. And what a game!

Pros: Excellent value for money, bright, fairly sharp, minimum distance maf.

Cons: chromatic aberration, graft with a little game of a6000

Opinion: Optical pretty funny thanks to its brightness and angle of view lends itself to night photography. also really I appreciate the minimum focus to a few cm fire distance that allows you to make creative shots with very close range. To be exploited in iperfocale to have virtually everything in focus. The only flaws that I found are a slight game graft and chromatic aberration that is still easily delete a PP. In my view, also for the affordable price of used, it is a must have!

Pros: Value for money very high, compact and light, good sharpness

Cons: backlit performance, high chromatic aberration

Opinion: An excellent optics in support of my A6000, in trips lies in the jacket pocket. To be used as a bit all MF wide-angle lenses, in iperfocale. Excellent sharpness from 2.8 to F11, @ f2 drops but is still usable. Strong chromatic aberration in the light-shadows steps, however, if you use LR or CR results in development. quite low distortion, even here still correctable with a lens appropriate profile. Backlight is composed, for those who know him as the big brother 14 2.8 Samyang. Stella a little crude, flare and ghost easily occur and it takes more than a little care to decrease the effect on recovery. In conclusion, with such a price it is almost a crime not to have in the kit!

Pros: clear (even at ta), lightweight, highly competitive price, light (2.0 f), pleasant and without nuts games, very beautiful colors, perfect for my Sony Alpha 6000

Cons: given the price I would say nothing (maybe in my version the indication of fire to the infinite is not very accurate)

Opinion: I took it in 2014 without much conviction, not having, at the time, familiarize yourself with the manual lenses. Now I can reassure the fans autofocus, in this view is an option very useful. At this focal length, closing a little 'the diaphragm, just adjust the focus to infinity to always have the sharpness of a few centimeters / meters from the lens (already f5 1 m onwards everything is in focus) .The focus function camera peaking will help if you serve composing with large apertures. Now, even changing the camera body, I made it a habit not to use auto focus with wide-angle lenses. RNE 'humorous perspective that can give you a lot of satisfaction, both day and night. For those who love the views and want to travel light, is the ideal complement to the classic zoom standard.rnIn summary, the value for money is great and if you scare the price of sel 10-18, this view is the one foryou.

Pros: Lighting, construction, sharpness, price, color balanced

Cons: lightweight game graft on Sony alpha 6000 due to the slightly larger block hole, this does not affect use.

Opinion: I purchased this light for use on Sony Sony Alpha 6000 and I was pleasantly surprised at the image quality and construction. lightweight and well-balanced perspective, nut smooth motion but hard enough to avoid accidental displacement. Little distortion and colors really pleasant and well contrasted, excellent sharpness at the center even at f2, good edges turning a bit 'the diaphragm. Lightweight AC easily corrected in Lightroom. Using very large apertures need to focus with precision but with the focus peaking and magnification of a6000 is a walk, no problem to f4 on, adjusting the hyperfocal a meter is all on fire. A truly fun optic. Paid 300 Euros new ... to have.

Pros: Construction, lightness, clarity, price and excellent color reproduction

Cons: I found none

Opinion: I bought this lens for Fuji XT10 to complete my optical equipment, for the type of photography I find it amazing that I prefer very sharp from edge to edge, of course you have set the camera to take advantage of the software fixes and enable compatibility. Photos taken are very sharp and full of detail, used for architectural photos gives you files with a very low distortion while in landscape photo color reproduction is just fantastic. Be careful when using the aperture from f / 2 to f / 2.8 because it tends to blur the image a lot plus we must treat very manual MAF to avoid unpleasant surprises (slightly blurry subjects), from f / 4 onwards by putting the focus on infinity you'll have no problem of depth of field and focal planes. I would highly recommend the purchase of this lens to the weight (it is very light) the cost in relation to the image quality and very precise mechanical and treated.

Pros: Compact and well built (the other features I have not been able to test)

Cons: Operation in manual

Opinion: I wanted to buy this lens for my Canon eos m3. I returned because at first I could not make it work (being out of touch, the machine does not recognize it). Some forum users (thank you anyway) have also shown me the solution, but it was too late. For those who wanted to take the Canon Eos m3, be careful and do not be discouraged as I did. The goal, albeit all in the manual, it should work.

Pros: reduced price, small and light, excellent image quality

Cons: nobody

Opinion: I purchased the Samyang 12mm f / 2.0 to take night photos with my APS-C and I was really surprised by the quality of this goal; even at full aperture is equal to or greater than optical far more expensive that I've used in the past (Canon 16-35 f / 2.8 II and Canon 24 f / 1.4 II). The value for money is outstanding, taking into account that is around 300 Euros! It 'a lens totally manual (but for landscape photos is not a problem), is mounted on mirrorless without adapters and is very compact and lightweight. Highly recommended!

Pros: Price / brightness / weight / size / niitidezza downtown.

Cons: The edges: chromatic aberration, distortion and decrease sharpness / [Fuji] slight tolerance on the graft / ring maf not precise, especially to infinity / weak to flare.

Opinion: Personally I'd recommend this light especially because I find it funny at a moderate price. The defects are known and if we are not even a few; However, doing a quick assessment on the experience of use, the advantages are certainly more substantial of difetti.rnE 'can take many kinds considering that it is a rather slow veloce.rnNon see the manual focus as a defect, even because, I repeat, it has a quality / price very competitive.

Pros: Weight - solidità- ingombro- nitidezza- reduced distortion - brightness

Cons: MAF manual

Opinion: A lens amazing in relation to the cost ... mounted on the system Fuji X is fantastic, almost no distortion, excellent sharpness, light and compact .... you can not ask for more at a grandangolo.Se the maf manual does not scare you a lens must-have in the kit ... already from f4.5 setting the maf of a meter is iperfocale

Pros: Size and low weight, performance professional lens, aperture F2, sharpness and price abbordabilissimo

Cons: Apart from the lack of registration of the exif data, for the use that I do not I found none

Opinion: I bought this lens 2 months ago and after an intense use with the X-E1 and a trip to Amsterdam, I can say that it is a fantastic goal. I was a bit 'skeptical about the manual focus, but thanks to the focus peaking is all very simple. I use it almost predominantly between F5.6 and F8 and I find that the sharpness between the center and edges is very balanced. I'm not rimpiiangere the 6D with the 17-40, which ultimately remains increasingly in casa.rnHo written here is my review with more complete test and sample photos http://www.soulwomanphoto.com/blog/obiettivi/samyang-12mm-eccellente-ed-economico-grandangolo-per-reflex-mirrorless/

Pros: Sharp already in TA, little vignetting and distortion, if you close a bit the diaphragm is a knife, with focus on Fuji peaking no major problems in maf, lightweight, compact, ability to mount filters screw ... Price

Cons: Honestly I have not found yet, maybe the ring of distances slightly busted

Opinion: Purchased as I felt the need for a wide-angle, whereas we do most of the photo with wide angle range, great price, very crisp, incidentally, made beautiful colors, excellent construction despite price, sincerely a nice optical if you do not want to spend too much for 14 mm Fuji, I feel good but I think later I will change to the original even if I give up to 2 mm but I think I need a car for maf not lose too much time in certain situations, if used mainly for photo Landscape is ideal

Pros: Optical quality, sharpness at the center already in f2, price, ability to add filters screw dimesioni, weight, distortion controlled

Cons: Vignetting, chromatic aberrations read apertures. Build quality compared to the price.

Opinion: After much reflection, testing and comparisons with Fuji 14mm I brought home for less than 300 euro new. It is an optical manual easy to use being a 12mm and more with the focus peaking you can focus on f2 and confirm. I was impressive in size and light weight! Risolvenza as compared to 14 fuji the center is very crisp, a little softer at the edges. It has a slight vignetting but corrects himself quietly. It also notes some little chromatic aberration to f2 that you can fix in post, too. The distortion from wide angle is very well controlled !!! RNLA build quality however is far from the optical metal Fuji but it is the euro that costa.rnTest 1 @ f / 5.6: Test https://flic.kr/p/tkLzLA ..... 2 @ f / 2 3200iso: https://flic.kr/p/tjeKQFrn

Pros: Sharp, especially in the center, bright, small, light, cheap.

Cons: Loses sharpness at the edges, easy to flare in backlit, lacks the scale of depth of field, the distance scale is inaccurate, a bit 'vignetting and chromatic aberration.

Opinion: The pros and cons are listed. But there is to say that the quality / price ratio is very high and that among the anti-vignetting and chromatic aberration are mild and easily ovviabili in post production. As for the distance scale just do a little 'evidence and take into account the distances right. For the scale of depth of field and hyperfocal distances there are various sites on the net, of course have the scale on the lens would be comfortable! Remain the loss of sharpness at the edges and ease to flare in backlit, but with a limited budget is a great choice.

Pros: Lightweight and compact, good sharpness, fully equipped, versatile focal length. Easy to focus (used f / 5.6 and focheggiando a virtually infinite focuses on every thing ...)

Cons: my copy (with attack Fuji X) engages correctly, but the lens when placed under stress has a little 'play (no effect on the pictures). RNLA aperture ring has only steps of 1/2 stop, I would have preferred to third; the distance scale on the focus ring is only indicative and not very precise.

Opinion: When I switched from Canon to Fuji I immediately felt the lack of something to replace the canon 10-22. I already had an excellent 18-55 and the incredible 23 f / 1.4, and I had four choices for wide angle: rnFuji 10-24 f / 4, which I considered excellent but a bit 'too bulky and heavy for the philosophy of MLrnFuji 14mm I've read a lot of good: I scrapped (for now) for the cost and the focal length: I was afraid it was too long for my esigenze.rnZeiss 12mm, definitely the top but sold at a price too high for the My budget (with a wide angle I do about 5% of my photos) rninfine, the Samyang, I scelto.rnL'ottica has a very attractive cost, a complete package of lens hood, front cap and a great soft bag for transport. rnMontato on X-E1 is a light game, that is not perfectly nailed to the machine by grasping it with decision moves half a millimeter ... now the thing I was worried after seeing the photos I have not noticed defects; about the photo: for my use of the urban landscape-architecture I use it closed at least f / 5.6, and questin opening is very sharp, as well as easy to focuse. Also open at f / 2, however, is doing very well, apart from a little 'vignettatura.rnCerto, not being recognized by the machine can not benefit from the automatic correction of purple fringing, vignetting and distortion, which are still very very small (in my gallery I posted some photos in jpg as out of the car without post-production) rnrnin substance, for 350 € you bring home a super-wide-angle lens is very light and compact, easy to use despite the manual focus, very sharp, accurate and with a maximum aperture which makes it also suitable for astro photography and any other situazione.rn

Pros: Quality image, brightness, weight and dimensions.

Cons: Some AC frame and vignetting at the edges pronounced. Absence recording EXIF ??data.

Opinion: In my opinion a very good ultrawide for APS-C. Good construction and excellent quality of the image from edge to edge with only a very slight drop in the extreme corners. It has a particularly strong vignetting when used with filters but fixable in PP; shows a good resistance to flare with the lens hood. At the edge you notice a bit of ac easily correctable. The small distance of MAF also allows some macro and set the brightness record for a 12mm fits perfectly for photos in heaven stellati.rnScala distances slightly stoned.

Pros: brightness, weight, size, cost,

Cons: Missing the cue ball to figure out how to insert the lens so veloceNon too sharp at all apertura.Potevano color ring connection between lens and bayonet

Opinion: A nice lens to have fun with manual focus ultra-wide-angle pictures with the angle of view of almost 100 degrees. The dimensions and low weight blend great with mirrorless. It suffers slightly from chromatic aberrations but are easily resolved in post production. We'll use it in the field of astro-photographic brightness thanks to the record for this type of wide angle lenses.
