Pros: Compactness, control rings, lens quality

Cons: Nobody.

Opinion: Dust, for me it was not a problem, I have been owning this machine for about 4 years, but to date, I have not detected any kind of problem on the sensor. It's fun for the remains. I mainly use it for street photos, and I always take it with me in the car or in the backpack, and it gave me some nice satisfactions, giving me great shots. It has a lens corresponding to the 24-75, which allows you to cover all the shooting focals and with its brightness from excellent results, and the noise that is lurking is easily overcome with post-productions. I also own two Nikons, the Z7 and Z6ii, with their Zmount optics, but when I go around town, this Panasoninc makes me want to photograph, small, invisible, silent, really great and I recommend it, especially the new Lxii series.

Pros: raw quality control backs

Cons: nobody but the dust

Opinion: without adding anything else to the comments, I wanted to give a tip to solve the dust problem at home, with a plastic bottle cut from both ends and a vacuum cleaner, having it at the minimum of power, zooming 3 or 4 times, the dust disappears from the sensor and machine body :-) try to believe, I carried out the procedure 3 times remaining very satisfied with the result.

Pros: Lens quality, all-rounder zoom, build quality

Cons: Interface a bit complex, application reviewable, cost of used still high (but quality you pay)

Opinion: An exceptional compact. The quality of the lens (branded Leica) is very high and is very bright, with this compact you can do practically anything. In your hand you hold very well and you immediately perceive the high quality of the materials, also confirmed by the not-so-derisory weight. It has very few flaws: the menu is, on the first, quite complex; the smartphone app (I only tried on Android) is quite slow and it is difficult to pair the camera the first time. I believe, however, that it is a must buy found below 300€ (although it can be quite difficult to find at this price) and I can only recommend it to those who, like me, need a light compact to use as a "notebook for notes" when you do not feel like carrying the main kit.

Pros: Optical quality, a large in small size, value-for-money sensor, non-compact sensor, wide control possibilities

Cons: Ergonomics, too small and the controls too close together are not always very easy to reach especially with the camera to the eye. I've always had a particular dislike for the exposure control selector too protruding and you will easily be without realizing, Electric Zoom and sensitivity to dust, a little slow in the shot. Size not compact, does not fit in your pocket

Opinion: I had the LX100 wanting to use it as a compact of other systems bought used about a year ago .... in this segment I came from Fuji X10, Leica D-Lux 3 and D-Lux 6 ..... immediately I liked the simplicity of use, everything is where it should be, the times in place and the diaphragm on the lens, just put the two A's and you have the convenient and effective program .... but then the imagination collided with reality .... compact has little because it starts to be of no minimum size as you expect from a compact (in the end it is little smaller than my M6) has too many controls, dials and keys in little space so to adjust you have to take the machine out of the eye continuously so eventually you end up checking the display .... in particular the selector to correct the exposure, perhaps too protruding, I found it often and inadvertently moved from zero .... in short a small one that wants to make the big, but big is not .... great on the road to use as a unique car leaving at home heavier runs, but as compact is not the best for my personal opinion. After about a year of sporadic use the electronics left me .... I believe the engine of the burnt zoom, I will show it on the return to Italy, meanwhile I went back and replace it with a D-Lux 6 that I already had, the quality of the files is comparable, the dimensions are smaller and although it does not have the built-in viewfinder (but possibility to put it external), it has however the integrated flash that I think is more comfortable in a compact ..... in short my judgment is overall positive, you have to understand what you are looking for from a machine in this market sector .... I want to replace the cell phone ..... the electronic viewfinder is good, but certainly not at the top of modern technology for this I often preferred the display to keep the scene under control ..... In any case, the optical quality and blurry of the LX100 is excellent thanks to its Vario Summilux 24-75 f/1.7 you see the Leica imprint

Pros: Size, ergonomics, manual use

Cons: Dust sensitivity, electric zoom, slow shooting speed

Opinion: Machine that I liked so much for its size and ergonomics. The yield, despite a 4/3 sensor and its 12 megapixels, I found it good. I carried her around everywhere, a lot of practice even on trips. It allowed me to have little weight and footprint and to go unnoticed when I used it. With all the manual controls it was then a nice satisfaction to use it. A great camera in my opinion, with all its limitations, related to electric zoom, low shooting speed and especially dust sensitivity. In two years I sent her into assistance four times, despite having carefully guarded her and always kept away from environments at risk of dust infiltration. So I had to sell it at a bargain price. Maybe with the new LX100 II they solved this problem, however I found it a bit disappointing to propose a model that is not so different from the previous one. Too bad, I expected more.

Pros: Bright Lens, Zoom, 4/3 sensor, Cheap Cost.

Cons: It doesn't fit in your pocket like other compacts, but it's quite compact compared to reflex and ML. It doesn't have built-in geolocation.

Opinion: I took this camera at just 450 euros new with 4 years of Warranty, an unbeatable quality/price. I was looking for a more compact and light alternative than the Reflex: it's not exactly pocket-sized (in jeans it doesn't fit) but it's perfect to always carry with you. I chose it because it has a 4/3 sensor and a Leica 24-70 eq lens. very bright f/ 1.7 - 2.5 thanks to which you can also make portraits with blurred background as well as beautiful landscapes and macros not too pushed. I discarded all compacts with 1" sensor because they do not give the same quality and do not blur. The alternative with similar quality were the ML, but in no system i found a Target 24-70 eq. bright and compact like this Leica. Another alternative was a compact Fuji but unfortunately I did not like the fixed focus lens. So strange but true: it is one of a kind. Now that the mrk II version (which updates a few things) is even more worthit, because it has fallen in price. The only real flaw in my opinion is the lack of GPS, the photos so they are not geolocated. The only way to fix it is to connect it while using your smartphone and use your gps via the app, or tag photos from pc once you get home. For the rest I highly recommend it. in good light conditions makes you forget you don't have a reflex.

Pros: Speed

Cons: Instability in the buttons, fragile, without lens covers, noise even at 100iso, low quality photos, dust, flare.

Opinion: As far as the Lumix Lx100 costs, it has a bad value for money, I bought it because I hit its shooting speed, which I confirm to be its value (perhaps unique). For the rest or found many defects, the first are the inaccurate keys and the dial, sometimes the machine goes crazy and starts to change the values by itself, but once "calmed" you can take photos but the result are always photos with watercolor effect , noise even at low ISO, I thought it was a problem of my camera but Panasonic's non-existent service does not provide assistance (if not for a fee) and in the warranty periods has only delayed the responses, until you bring the camera out of warranty. Another defect and that the lens does not have a lens cover other than a cap to put and remove, the only thing to do is to buy aside a "JJC alc Lx100" worth 15 euros, which being a poor Chinese product breaks quite easily , so if you pay for the shipment you advise to buy them at least 2, amazing then how the dust manages to get inside the target, also the lights almost always guarantee (in all photos) an annoying flare. I recommend the camera for anyone who wants a nice and expensive paper clip.

Pros: Luminosissimo lens, ergonomics, versatility, weight, ring nuts to set any parameter, aesthetics

Cons: The ease with which the dust manages to settle on the sensor, not exactly pocketable as some of its competitors

Opinion: My first camera of a certain level after a Sony compact camera and a Galaxy S3. It made me really fall in love with photography. The possibility to set all the parameters with the ring nuts allowed me to understand, trip after trip, what it means to have full control of the parameters of shooting and how much this makes the photograph a lot more fun and inspiring than just tip and shoot. Taken for its bright goal, I can only confirm the goodness of the same in every situation. However perhaps a little ' limited in the zoom, for my needs went more than good, allowing me beautiful photos at night or in the interior is not lit. The stabilization then by an extra hand. Not exactly pocket-sized but still portable, at the neck almost forgets it and still can sit quietly in the pocket of a jacket. After a year of great love and passion we come to the sore notes: After a trip to the desert of Wadi Rum began to appear black spots in the photos. Evident especially in the photos with clear and uniform background (as can be a blue sky) at diaphragms greater than 5. I found with regret that I was not the only one who had encountered this problem: the ease with which the dust is sucked from the zoom and settles on the sensor. I've been getting the sensor cleaned up by the Panasonic service department about 4 times in a year, but the problem has always arisen after a few sessions of use, albeit always protected and used in places much less dusty than a desert. Very sorry because otherwise it would have been the perfect compact room. I am sorry even more that no major countermeasures have been taken for his heir. Rated 7

Pros: Objective, price, weight/encumbrance

Cons: Dust, not always perfect connectivity, zero updates

Opinion: Excellent machine, bought in January and used until July. Unfortunately my model had the defect of having dust inside the optics and reading around I discovered to be a problem common to many compact. Excluding this problem the machine is perfect starting from the rendering in the photographs until you get to manual controls that have nothing to envy to a reflex.

Pros: Aesthetics, lightness, versatility, battery, price, viewfinder, connectivity.

Cons: Non-touch and non-swivel Display, all too small for a large hand.

Opinion: I state that I bought it in mid 2018 and I am satisfied. My biggest gripe is the size, too big for one hand and too small for two, I would have preferred a more full-bodied grip. For the rest is a fantastic machine, the ring nuts make you take a dip in the fascinating world of analogue, they make you feel one with the machine and give a pleasant sensation to the touch and to the hearing. Recommended to anyone, for newbies (has a completely automatic mode ready to take over in times of difficulty) and for experts. The 24-72mm lends itself well to several occasions.

Pros: resolution, performance, bokeh, controls, weight and dimensions

Cons: undersized viewfinder

Opinion: I was very positively surprised by the performance of this camera. Images absolutely at the top, good seal ISO, nice bokeh all in very small size and light weight. Really a gem, recommended to all lovers of photography, convenient as "second body" for the most demanding but quietly able to satisfy even the most pretentious

Pros: light, compact, fits in your pocket, sensor, mpx ideal, dynamic range, Leica lens

Cons: I have to think...

Opinion: Taken by chance as a replacement for the Olympus OMD 10 II and to support it with my kit nikon d800 and ... amazed. In many situations bring this or the top kit does not make any difference ... even sometimes in extreme situations in the mountains with this picture I take them anyway at home.rnEven the battery lasts to be a compact high performance, if you turn it off it's about 300 shots. rnDifficult to find something similar, mirrorless shakes!

Pros: Quite compact and light, bright optics and very good at all focal lengths and even at full aperture, true manual controls.

Cons: The tropicalization is missing and dust can easily enter the sensor. The flash is not incorporated. JPG files have poor complexion colors.

Opinion: I bought the LX100 in 2015 and still have it, as a compact machine to use when the camera is too heavy.rnThe car I always liked very much for two aspects: 1) the performance of Leica optics, really satisfying at all focal lengths and all the openings (there are differences, but they are minimal) and so bright that they can be used in full night freehand; 2) the camera body fascinating and equipped with all the manual controls you want.rnOther point of merit is that the minimum focal length (10.9 mm) RAW files (and only these) have a framed angle much wider than 24 mm equiv. declared; the machine automatically trims the frame to produce its JPG, but if opened with DXO PhotoLab the RAWs have an angle that is estimated to be equal to a 21 mm (obviously in this case we accept some compromise on the sharpness of the corners, which however falls a good) .rnNon I have ever endured the color rendering in JPG files: if the landscapes have saturated colors, a little 'tending to cold tones, the faces show a dominant magenta thatmakes the lips purple. Unwatchable. With development from RAW the problem does not exist.rnSomodo the external flash, even if the brightness of the optics allows you to do without it on many occasions.rnAlso the yield at high ISO is not the strong point of the sesore: 800 ISO are the threshold beyond which the quality starts to expire significantly and ISO 1600 should represent the maximum limit for this machine. Even in this case, however, the brightness of the optics allows, at least to the minimum focal length, to remain on low sensitivity even with little light.rnrnThe most serious defect and in my opinion hardly forgivable is the ease with which the dust reaches the sensor . The problem is not the lack of tropicalization, as a real design flaw. The objective in the re-entry phase (above all the wandering) drags with it the dust that is accumulated on it and nothing prevents it from spilling onto the sensor. It is even enough to suffice on the ste objectiveSo to risk that the dust filters between the double barrel of the optics. Evidently, there is no gasket or flange at all. The cleaning can not be performed by the user, if not at serious risk of producing damage to the electronics.rnConsider this a very serious flaw, because in all the previous machines in the LX series that I had (from LX3 onwards) I never found nothing of the kind. For the moment the problem can be solved in post production, but with the passage of time it is destined to get worse.

Pros: lightness, maneuverability, 4: 3 sensor, viewfinder, shutter speed, image quality, very bright leica optics

Cons: compact camera, use of not easy immediacy, rather visible noise at high ISO,

Opinion: I use this compact for a short time but I can say that I absolutely regretted having bought it after selecting it from dozens and dozens of similar rooms. It is proving to be an excellent travel companion, light, practical, versatile and above all well built. Comfortable and compact, certainly not "invisible", but the quality is seen and felt also by the construction material and weight. The 4: 3 sensor is very good, as is the very bright Leica 24-75 optic (f 1: 7-2: 8). Of course not comparable to the FF SLR (I distance myself from all those who say otherwise!) And not even to many SLR cameras with a larger sensor, but fulfills his work. Very convenient controls provided but that require a bit of practice to exploit them to the fullest. I expected a little more "containment" of noise above ISO 800-1000 but everything can not be in a compact of this range. Very recommended as long as you accept the limits, first of all those of a Prosumer handyman, certainly higher than most of the sand colleagues.

Pros: An exceptional big photo room room? no problem ! Leica quality zoom Summilux ultrafine f1.7-2.8 with 5 aspherical lenses including 2 ED Lumix G with nano surface treatment

Cons: No Leica quality feels like Panasonic technology.

Opinion: Hi after six months of testing in various situations I can make a first budget of my Panasonic Lumix Dmc LX 100. I would never have believed to have an incredible technical possibility contained in a compact Prosumer! the car body is lightweight compact magnesium alloy, high-key buttons, outstanding screen like the viewfinder featuring all the automatic-to-display variables in 49 areas. I've never had trouble with Af either in daylight or evening light or night. Pros: It's a compact, but ....

Cons: .... but it's a compact one.

Opinion: Let's talk about it, we compare it with a FF with a 24-75 f1.7 / 2.8 (which does not exist ...) ?? It would go away, it seems obvious.rn Let's treat it for what it is, that is, a compact one. rnCompact ..... rnI carry with me, I can put it in my pocket (maybe the jacket, in the pants would want to do the phenomenon ....... I'll explain it ?? !!), I pull it out when I need it and click. Snap with a Leica obj (the same as the compact D-Lux Leica that costs double ....... 2x as the "crop"). I can fit screw filters, maybe an ND1000 to have fun with water and clouds ... with more than good results (remember, it's not a FF ...!). I also screwed up a hood to prevent the flare (however never seen) on which I screwed a filter and onto which I put the cap. Just like a reflex (FF this time!). I have a menu, too rich too, which allows me to configure the toy as I believe best. I have a burst of shiver to make the D7100 shiver (which I have, but that does not make me shiver, but that's another thing ... ;-)). Completelymanual but also fully automatic, shutter speeds up to 120 seconds (sissignori, tried in person!), obviously the files that come out are almost inguardable, because of the chrominance noise (and that is ... ??! ) is inevitable with long times, but it also has the reflexes ..... rnIso from 100 to 25600 (but stop a little earlier, it's better ..... it's a compact), workable up to 1600, then it's work from expert manipulators who would "" get out "" great b / n.rnVideo 4k for field enthusiasts. I used it for mountain views by making more photos then joined with lightroom .... exceptional files ...... no from the exaggerated .... fantastic! Beautiful details, nice colors, has the brightest electronic viewfinder, has the brightest display especially in displaying what you are about to shoot at night (make a confrontation with other compact and will astonish you ...), the accident is not touch .... ..this better smartphone definitely !, it is not orientable though I have &%2339 application that allows me to handle it even if I put it on the ground to shoot from below (but then even the D810, for example, is bad for this reason ...... !!! ??). 4/3 sensor, ok is not FF and not even aps-c, but not as big as an eaten nail !! And it has "only" 12 megapixels, so no gigantographs, just 30x40! The flash on the sled gives me a touch of class, though I use it a little. Battery more than enough, for what ??, four hours video at 4k ?? ..... then no, better one spare (but also memory sd)! RnInsomma (with uppercase I), great compact. rnAh! ..... I forgot, if you are looking for a super zoom to photograph the clothes hangers in the balcony of Mrs Maria who lives 100 meters from your home, stay here ... this compact will disappoint you, and even Mrs. Maria .

Pros: Optical quality (albeit inferior to the original Leica), full and simple menus, fast running, comfortable controls, great digital viewfinder, good image quality and excellent raw files, good iso behavior (from 1600 onwards you have to make counts with the grain, but for a 4/3 ...), nice, the ability to use filters and be able to close it with these assemblies, and then many more ...

Cons: Tropicalization is absent ... and ok, but the retractile target, which is lit, protrudes a lot and, in its very good overall construction quality, stands out for its precariousness. Sometimes it locks in closure. Maybe the tiltable screen would be the top, but it would be unfair competition!

Opinion: A phenomenal machine bought by a friend after a year of life. It's a jewel, with compact cameras that make great photos there, but with this one does not regret the reflex. I side by side with a 5d mkII so I do not always have to carry 10kg of bag, which with a small child had become a problem. With this I can go out with my son without the stress of bringing me back to bags and having my neck 3kg of car blowing everywhere. Wonderful optics with opening 1.7-2.8 and stabilizer. excursion equivalent to a 24-70, all fingers commands. the quality is not at the level of 5d ff ... but you only notice it magnifying to 100% and you really do not notice it even in demanding use.rnHa many features, including the nice "filters" (I used a couple sometimes only that in BN and is not bad, certainly the best I've ever tried). I also recommend it as the first car for those who do not have special requirements, as second body is the ideal !!!

Pros: Optical quality, very handy, compact, easy menu

Cons: For the moment, nothing resonant (4 days use) unless the small plastic contact cap for the flash I was likely to lose just 2 minutes after unpacking the car and that when it gets off you do not know where to put it but Is a s solveable problem. Battery life to check but does not seem huge

Opinion: I did a few hundred photos trying to use all of the menu options and one thing is certain: the quality is remarkable, superior to my Pentax K30. Also great for a wearer of glasses, easy and quick menu to learn and use.rnI have not yet verified either the flash (maybe a bit uncomfortable because it is separate) nor the video that everyone says is great. I go for a trekking (with a spare battery) then I refer.

Pros: quality Leica lens, ISO (for a micro four thirds), extreme portability, 4K video, design, manual setting rings.

Cons: If it were tropical conditions would be perfect. Perhaps the 12 mpx that not very well argue the crop (it does, however, extremely light in exchange files with a good value-weight file)

Opinion: Purchased in "far" in 2015 when the price has gone down. The quality of the glass Leica has no comparison and also on a compact like this has a very high yield. In the price range in which it is located it is unrivaled and in my opinion surpasses many entry level SLR. E 'was love, the use in any environment with excellent results (also printed). Its better to be in the urban and street contexts but can be adapted to any scenario thanks to the sector autofocus in low light conditions found faultless. Machine fans or second body from pro, never disappoint. From discerning traveler.

Pros: Leica optics, sensor, operational flexibility, 4K video, compactness, robustness

Cons: Poor battery autonomy, no touch, fixed display screen, without stabilizing the sensor as newer models (G80, GH5, etc)

Opinion: Love at first sight that is consolidated in the use. I use it mainly for video and I must say that the "small" LX100, although not recently left me speechless. rnFlessibile and ready to 'use, does not disappoint in performance, controls, sharpness, colors and yield of blurry. A little gem that gives beautiful images and is characterized by compactness and robustness. It would have been perfect with a stabilizing system 5-axis on the sensor, such as to ensure more stable images without filming or micromosso.rnPromossa with honors, although it is not very young!

Opinion: Excellent as II machine pleasant to use. Nothing I write because other utetenti have already described very well and I would be repetitive. Pros: Portability, design, manual controls, Leica lens brightness, sensor size for a compact

Cons: perhaps zoom that only comes to 75 mm, but certainly with a greater range would have affected the quality of images

Opinion: Buy used 320 € Juza by a user, has become the ideal solution to replace my Canon 70D and all the objectives for the gitarelle without loss of quality, I must say that not missing a lot to be considered a "reflex", the settings time for manual, aperture and exposure are really fast and intuitive. rnConsigliatissima!

Pros: very nice display, nice optics and light, focus lightning, high iso held for category

Cons: Fixed display, touch display, ergonomics, short zoom. Many have complained about the dust on the sensor.

Opinion: The feeling when you open the box for the first time can be jarring, on the one hand you think, how did they get all this technology there? The other looks like a very light giocattolino.rnMacchina, really nice display and, thanks to a brightness control system, it is always very nice and crisp. Pros: Quality 'sensor / lens, brightness' zoom, size, vibration sensor, color profiles, intuitiveness' commands and functions, operability' macro WideZoom, decisive automatism, chance 'format without having to change the menu, battery life.

Cons: Flare and ghost against the light, the multi selector buttons are too small for European hands, the viewfinder is not too easy for those glasses ports, excursion Zoom canvas a bit 'too small (better if it came to 85mm eq)

Pros: Bokeh, electronic viewfinder, manual controls, ISO held high (for the sensor size), good processability of the file (always thinking that comes from a 2.2 crop factor sensor), af good for the category. Filters 43mm (inexpensive). multi-aspect sensor. Damn beautiful.

Cons: Very annoying flare backlit, sharpness subdued compared to the price (but good for a compact), size too minute, a limited zoom range while. high price. LR does not recognize the lens profile, so it is impossible to correct the raw automatically (fortunately does not suffer much distortion).

Opinion: It 'a great compatta.rnLa you check well after a short time, manual controls and quite semplice.rnSe menu the ultimate goal is printing, the sharpness will be more than enough, but if you always look at the file at 100% and maybe you also has a reflex then you will want more clarity, let's say that I would have expected more from a car that costs almost 700 euro (but remember that it is a compact one of a kind) .rnOttima brightness of the lens (F1.7 to 24mm and f2 .8 to 75mm) with a good bokeh (the sensor is almost a 4/3), good high sealing ISO.rnFile quite malleable, allows you to get the jpeg room pretty much as you want by adjusting the curves, colors, sharpness and so on. RN12 megapixel are just to do a little of everything (and then better if it holds well the iSO rather than a thousand thousand megapizze knead) .rnLa focus is good and also has a location Macro that allows some ingrandimento.rnAvrei pleasing was also a more ergonomic sleeping (pi ù generous in short) maybe hosting a lens a little wider (75mm are often short, maybe 90mm would be enough without becoming too much and ruin the sharpness) .rnHo improved ergonomics matching wooden handle (not that it was not enough but I do not I was looking for a tiny car but a complete, compact ergonomics also) .rnLo stabilizer does not seem miraculous (I had a SonyA772 and the stabilized more) but it is ultimately buono.rnrnIn, it is a nice car, great charm, easy to use and effective, it always has to tile dietro.rnOttima a kit reflex.rnNon is perfect and, given the difettucci, I think something should cost less to nuova.rnUsata instead is an excellent acquisto.rnrnPer as I see it, already no flare and with a sharpness sleeping more would be its soldi.rnrnP.s .: Do not buy the hood of the JJC. And 'metal and solid, ok, but it generates strong vignetting at focal next to the lower limit (24mm) .rnIo I caught ignoring the thing and now I'll try to shorten it.

Pros: Leica lens, Leica components, 4/3 sensor for a compact, excellent raw files, old style, manual adjustments with dials, soft keys

Cons: battery life, brings fixed belt ribs "annoying"

Opinion: I purchased this compact to always have a camera with me at work. Just disbursed the money it costs I said "hell I screwed up, after all it was not necessary." I changed my mind immediately in the next few days, I think it was the best purchase done so far in the field of photography. Produces exceptional raw for what type of machine. I got the BW really not bad for my little experience in the field of photography. The reflex that I own with relative kit is the 70D and it was my first SLR. With this compact camera by "retro" commands I tasted the old-fashioned photography, where every command has a dedicated ring. A little 'clunky but really rewarding over time. The body is of excellent material, for the most part in metal. Excellent ergonomics, excellent rings. Annoying ribs door strap that make some noise if you do not attaching the strap. Poor battery life but it is quite normal considering the size of it .. the wifi you Connand quickly to the smartphone (Android in my case) even without NFC. The file transition takes place smoothly and relatively quickly.

Pros: Well-built, solid, excellent image quality, performance

Cons: High accessory price. But on the internet I found the original Panasonic lens cap with re-entering slats that works great, at 18 euros. Beware of those who were interested remember that with this accessory it is not possible to mount the filters, not even the slim.

Opinion: I use it to make street photography or not to carry the Canon 60d with all the lenses. I must say that it satisfies me very much, with all its manual controls and its retro appearance. The fixed lens zoom Leica Vario Summilux 24-75mm. Churns out beautiful pictures, detailed, and saturated enough. Let's not forget that it is twin of the Leica D-Lux which has the same cmos sensor four thirds, the same lens, very detailed electronic viewfinder, stabilizer. 4k video, wi-fi-nfc. Now that the LX100 II version is out, which doesn't add anything meaningful to the first version, it's even cheaper. I have not encountered any dust problems on the sensor, as described by others, despite using it since 2016.

Pros: Quality 'image, three sizes effective, robust, handle, viewfinder, 1/16000, excellent brightness' goal, wi-fi.

Cons: Yet no one for the use you do

Opinion: I'm doing the tests on the fly and I was entusiasta.rnL'accoppiata sensor lens and 'surprising. rnComoda in commands, fast in risposta.rnIl viewfinder I do not mind and I find that to frame both ottimo.rnSi holds benissimo.rnPer convert raw I use DXO 10. File crisp and corrected aberration, distortion and vignetting, do not do anything .rnHo noticed that on the raw 24mm has a clear bias, if there is no line, for example a landscape, you can 'leverage' cause is very close to 20mm. In this case dxo it allows correcting equally aberration and vignetting. RNLA lack of tiltable display for me and not 'a real problem, more' Tilting one smarthpone there 'nothing, given that the wi-fi will be' why have not entered. I do not importa.rnPer me the 12.3 Mp are more 'than enough to travel, street, small reportage. rnCio 'that even more' appreciate 'that can' work in actual sizes. To have a 16: 9 are not cut two slicesabove and below to get it but is re-proportioned top and bottom by adding two portions laterali.rnIn practice, I write for those who do not know, the angle equivalent to 16: 9 and 'more' wide horizontal angle in 4: 3. This and 'very useful in landscape and otherwise in ritratto.rnLa machine immediately expresses a feeling of solidity' and the handle and 'very large ergonomica.rnCompatta classe.rn

Pros: compact construction with robust and good ergonomics, manual controls with dials for opening times and over and under exposure intentional, Leica lens light with good focal range (F1.7 - F2.8 24-75 mm equivalent), electronic viewfinder quality, blurred, workability of the raw, 4K video, ability to mount filters (43 mm), very responsive (for a compact), good quality / price ratio (EUR 618 on Amazon).

Cons: rings that move easily by acting on that station (problem for those with large hands), poor battery life on video and using LCD, lack of built-in flash, limited resolution (about 12 megapixels effective), system focus to which I still get used ...

Opinion: Taken alongside accompanying reflex FF outputs read without sacrificing too much image quality and the complete control of shooting parameters. Obviously ergonomics and reactivity are not comparable to those of an SLR, but it is not the size ... Tested on occasion of street are very pleased with the pictures taken home. There are more compact, with higher resolution, less costly ... LX100 is a compromise that to me is enjoyed especially robust construction that falls well in hand, controls analog and optical quality. For now I can not say any more, because in any case already been well described by those who preceded me in helping me decide to buy. Recommended as a second machine for street and in general for read and outputs as first machine for beginners or for those who does not need higher performance and versatility of SLR and mirrorless.

Pros: Design, Leica lens, connectivity, light weight, size sensor

Cons: Poor resolution compared to standard, low resistance to flare

Opinion: I always wanted a quality camera to always carry below without feeling the weight. After reading opinions, compared reviews, opinions heard and weighed the costs, in the end I chose the Lumix LX-100 because it is a good compromise between price and performance. Among the determining factors in my choice there were mainly the size of the sensor, where the 16 Mpxl (12.8 used) there are beautiful wide and comfortable; In fact, I am not convinced by the sensors 20 Mpxl crammed into one inch ... Coming from a kit SLR like me is not easy to enter the world of compact, where you have to play around a lot in the various menu items; once you understand the mechanisms of management, however, the Lumix has and offers everything you need to crank file of excellent quality, thanks to a lens of respect and a stabilization really effective. To my choice I disabled the digital zoom, which I always hated; also I am not interested in the video, so that I find "personalissimamente" function totally useless.I was not impressed however the ability to control the camera from the phone, through the dedicated app, it works well. There are also excellent filters on board (not all, in fact) that maybe do riparmiare time pp to those who love fun with it. The pleasing taste the various analog dials that help establish an immediate feeling and make it suitable for those who love to take pictures and not have it done by the machine.

Pros: Optics, image quality, practicality of use, viewfinder

Cons: Cost, battery life

Opinion: I wanted to have a lighter machine to be attached to the D300 and to take with me. I discarded the mirrorless to not having to deal with other optical and I addressed the compact with the viewfinder. Eventually I gave in the old D80 with 50mm and I brought home the LX100. I'm happy with the car. The ergonomics are excellent. The controls are all within reach. We have the aperture ring on the lens, the zoom, the size selector and maf. Shutter speed dial and the exposure control. Direct keys for the control of ISO, WB, area maf. In three more customizable function keys. Excellent optics very bright. The viewfinder does its part very well. Shooting in manual you a feeling of complete control of the car and shooting. Recommended

Pros: Image quality for the dimensions, ergonomics and construction, electronic viewfinder of sufficient size, optical light and versatile relations with megapixel fixed sides image

Cons: Fixed display, the convenient automatic cap is sold as an optional EVF with rainbow effect, flash included not articulated, minimum distance of MAF with variable focal length and high enough (0.5m 75mm eq)

Opinion: A compact high quality. Bought a machine to always have on hand, joins a kit reflex.rnLa quality lens and sensor it is remarkable: it is nice and fuzzy superior to compact sensor with lower (F1.7-F2.8 lens of sensor 2.2x crop) .rnISO used with no or very low noise reduction up to 1600, you can go up to 6400 with some sacrifice in detail and colors. Still much better than the APS-C Canon few years fa.rnrnL'ergonomia is excellent: the handle is perfect for a car of this size, about small rises in front tire (for middle and ring) and rear (for the thumb ) that make the socket very salda.rnSono available the ring nut of the apertures on the lens, and a customizable (by me set zoom "jerky" that passes only for the longer focal used as if it had as many fixed lenses: 24, 28, 35, 50, 70 and 75), a shutter speed dial and exposure compensation, zoom lever around the shutter button, button fithers (useful but not essential) and the excellent iAuto button that basically takes the machine to a fully automatic mode if you need to give it to someone not accustomed to photography. Another pressure with all settings precedenti.rnSul rear wheel, directional button with ISO, WB, Drive and AF area, then button AF / AE lock can also be used as back-button-focus but not in the best position, a quick customizable menu and as many as 3 customizable buttons (which I set selection AF-S / AF-C selection shift AF area and exposure mode) .rnIn practice there to regret bodies SLR pro and semi-pro for direct access to functions .rnSaggia choosing not to add a dial mode (PASM) but to use dials and opening times to manage modalità.rnrnL'EVF is small compared to certain ML but fully usable, unfortunately the resolution is not very high and above is There is a rainbow effect being a form field scan. The rear display islarge and well resolved, unfortunately fixed but adjustable in 60fps mode (watch battery consumption) that allows a fluidity incredibile.rnrnL'AF is of contrasting but is surprisingly fast. Customizable single area (size and position adjustable on the fly with dial pad and back after pressure off switch), subject tracking, eye / face detection, auto area, pattern and customizable area single ridotta.rnLa MAF manual is easy thanks to the ring right sensitivity, the viewfinder magnification and focus peaking and video personalizzabile.rnrnRaffica not yet testati.rnrnNote mourners: the external flash is powerful and quite detached from the lens to avoid red eye, unfortunately the fixed position cancels the potential versatility of a ' outdoor unit making good only as fill-light and not as the main light (except using crock to divert and soften the light). A wasted opportunity to stand out from concorrenza.rnIl front cap & automatic flaggingI; very comfortable but the original is sold separately for more than 30 € and closes with filters montati.rnCi come to the aid of the Chinese clones that offer more ugly to see but at half the price and with the ability to keep mounted filters slim.rnrnLo stabilizer is present and keeping it always on you do not notice its presence until you look at the shooting data. However nothing miraculous than the concorrenza.rnrnBen designed functionality for selecting aspect ratios (3: 2, 4: 3, 16: 9) without losing Mpixel (except the ratio 1: 1 square offering about 9 Mpixel) seen the sensor is always croppato (2x the m4 / 3 to 12MPixel with 2.2x crop). Despite the lens does not cover the entire sensor m4 / 3 is not being exploited to the full vignetting is not obvious either in raw.rnrnLa minimum distance of MAF in "Macro" is about 30cm to the focal length 24mm (with little distortion) and salt until half a meter in 75mm equivalent. This allows pictures with a goodFuzzy f2.8 but it is not ideal for those piccoli.rnrnPer other functions present (curve adjustment for shadows / lights, number WB customizable, photo from video 4k) recommend you take a look at reviews online because despite being a machine easy to access thanks to the direct commands menu is vastissimo.rn

Pros: build quality, quality of the Leica lens, 24mm equivalent focal minimum, many manual controls, viewfinder ev, photo and video quality, quality raw files.

Cons: fixed display

Opinion: I purchased this compact to match my outfit reflex FF. Initially I tried various mirrorless but, although smaller than the SLR, were always too cumbersome to keep in the pocket of a jacket. After careful analysis I decided to purchase this compact and I was incredibly surprised. Construction sublime with many commands that facilitate the settings (great for a user accustomed to the reflex). Intuitive menus, viewfinder EV but also the incredible quality Leica lens made me fall in love immediately. The focal 24-75 is ideal for most of the images and the quality is perfect at every focal length and aperture. The large maximum aperture and the reduced minimum focusing allow the fuzzy really belli.rnIl sensor reports file is excellent for those who shoot in raw and for those who prefer the convenience of jpg also valued iso incurred. The autofocus is very fast and accurate, and very effective, combined with a burst so fast, kingnde the camera really infallible. I particularly liked the AF tracking ... just set the subject and the machine does the resto.rnPer the video department I do not imbalance because they are not versed in the subject but out of curiosity I did a test and it seems to me that the result is nothing short of crazy .. I do not know if there is any better but already it seems to see a dvd! rnUnico possible improvement would be to have the tilting display for shooting from above and basso.rnNon is a camera that replaces a camera that no but it is a valuable addition for those times when you want to travel light without sacrificing a file of excellent quality while maintaining the compactness that a mirrorless + zoom handyman can not garantire.rnConsigliatissima !!! Do rating 9 instead of 10 only for the absence of the display tilting.

Pros: Feeling in the manual, viewfinder, lens quality and quick, blurred portraits really nice and very present, 4k video, high ISO performance, customization mode, not regret any reflex for 80% of your shots! Fast Autofocus

Cons: Few, you will need a second battery but identifying this as a negative aspect in compact is exaggerated, the forums says that performance in 4k are limited compared to gh4, surely it is true, but if you're already oriented on gh4 videomaker you, if you Family Video in the LX100 is even exaggerated. Would have liked the built-in flash

Opinion: I just sold my D700 and all the goals that I had pro, previously I had D300, D200, F100, Fm2, always with excellent goals ... not being able to take with me the camera (two children, strollers, etc. etc. ) had initially decided to go to the mirrorless system ... after much indecision between Olympus and Fuji but I opted for this beautiful XL100. I wanted a bright lens and well done, the pancake of Olympus does not guarantee the same performance, the 18-55 fuji is definitely a good lens but the size of the system I went to genius. I worried about the bokeh, I thought of having to say goodbye to portraits and instead ... it is blurry and it's really nice! 75mm f 2.8 and you can blur really, in a three-quarter portrait it is blurred so much, I would not have ever expected! The viewfinder is great, visible, bright, you can set the refresh rate to 30 fps or 60 fps. The stabilizer works really well, the ISO sensitivity is excellent, I had set the funtion iso car and I realized only at home that they were taken at 800 iso reading the specs on the PC! For those who love to shoot in manual, the feeling is great, everything is adjusted with ease. I set the ring on the lens to adjust the ISO sensitivity, with the ring gear the diaphragm, the other ring on the camera body changes the times, there are three customizable function keys, I have large hands and the car holds well, in a stable manner, the fingers fall exactly where they fall, the two rings on the lens are well separated and easy to use. I never expected to not have to regret the SLR and instead ... I'm glad I sold it because I would have used very little! Use frigger youngnuo for Nikon to continue to use my B700 and, in the manual, everything works. The autofocus is fast, certainly if you want to take pictures at a sporting event you will find limitations compared to SLR (if of good quality). You can set the iZoom that allows you to multiply by 2 the maximum focal length without losing quality of the yeand; (If you get up to 100mm is really not noticeable), then you get to have the same range of G7x easily. With the digital zoom 4 multiplied by the maximum focal but you lose quality. The camera is fun, I always carry it with me. Fast burst, 11 frames per second in real high resolution, up to 40 (!!!) in low !!! Highly recommended. I'm still amazed by the blur that you can not get in portraits with this 4/3, fantastic (and writes one accustomed to Nikkor pro). The resolution is not 16 but about 13 mp, mp with 3 in less than a d om-and-m10 have a car with a lens of great quality!
