Pros: Lightness, AF all in all fast, RAW workability, really good for those who want to start.

Cons: Build quality, noise already at low ISO

Opinion: It is an excellent machine to start, it gives a lot of satisfaction to the neophyte. Very light (I continue to use it coupled with the heavier telephoto lenses) and comfortable in the grip despite the smaller size compared to the hand. AF hooks the subject quite precisely and quickly, suffers in conditions of low contrast, darkness or excess of detail (intricate branches, bushes). The RAW file is all in all quite workable, as long as you do not exaggerate with the ISO. The flaws that are often listed do not take too much into account that it is an entry-level camera, in fact for the average purchase price at which it is found I consider it quite satisfactory. The only observations not really justifiable are: -really low build quality (rubber / imitation leather decorations come off early) -noise at low ISO (around 800) generally creates a colored magenta band along the underside of the sensor, with any lens mounted on, but taking it into account it is quite controllable or even eliminated with simple post-production programs.

Pros: Lightness, compactness, ergonomics, adjustable screen and touch, excellent file quality both RAW and JPEG as long as you do not overdo it with isos, excellent dynamic range, battery life, very good built-in microphone, much appreciated time lapse function, quick file sharing thanks to snapbridge, fine flash

Cons: Just a customizable button and lack of a second ring, focus in videos not always accurate, lack of High Speed Sync, over 3200 iso suffers, slow burst in live view,

Opinion: I have been using this machine for more than two years and I am very satisfied with it. It returns files of really really good and quite workable in pp, as long as I do not exaggerate with isos: in fact, I set 3200 as a max value (sense settings. Iso in the menu), I took night shots at 6400 iso and unfortunately the quality suffers more than necessary in my opinion, but it depends on the type of photo. It is held very well in hand even if the migniol protrudes a little, however to be a monoghiera the maneuverability is also good: I often use the priority of diaphragms and I found it easy to control with the same opening ring and (with the button pressed) the comp. of the exposure, but a second ring and another function key would have helped me much more. The adjustable screen is a holy hand in both photos and videos, I don't know why Nikon doesn't make extensive use of it. Using the optical viewfinder the focus is very good although, for moving subjects, I prefer to use single-point mode over 3d tracking, the shooting data in the viewfinder is seen well and is quite complete even if I found them a little unluminous. LV mode slows down burst and to but the choice of touch focus point helps a lot in photos, however, in my opinion the lv should only be used for videos, with permanent focus set and wide extended area (it is more precise) since face recognition and af pursuit are not always reliable. As for touch, it greatly improves the ease of use of the entire interface (already simple in itself) and also works well the proximity sensor that turns it off when using the optical viewfinder. With regard to picture control, I suggest keeping the standard one or landscapes (or monochrome) and setting d-lighting to Auto or moderate. To conclude, the d5600 is a machine that also satisfies an experienced photographer but must be "studied" for a moment to give its best.

Pros: Size, Lightness, great sensor, File Quality, Time Lapse, HDR, Battery Life, Adjustable Screen and Touch, absence of anti-aliasing filter

Cons: The internal engine Af ... sin would have been the link for the whole Nikon Universe !!!

Opinion: Now migrated to FF Nikon for a few years, as an advanced photoadamator, I felt the need to always bring with me a small Nikon compatible with my optical park. Taking an ML meant abandoning everything and starting from scratch. So, looking for something small, I found a gorgeous D5600, we... it's really small but small and light (460 gr). He's got everything you need to take some good pictures. An advanced software, an excellent sensor without an anti-alias filter, the tipper screen, the silent shot, the time lapse, the HDR, excellent quality and simplicity Video, the external USB connections and excellent remote management equal to the older sister D780. Well what more do you want for an APS-C maybe just the ability to mount the old engineless AF optics, but I think, anyway, it's really a misrepea overwhelmed by the ML release, for me really the Top !!!

Pros: Photo quality, ergonomics, battery life.

Cons: Lack of High Speed Sync for flash.

Opinion: Overall, great camera. For the price it is today (under 450 euros) I think it is the best you can find. With its original battery it lasts a lot (at a party I made more than a thousand RAW shots, some even with built-in flash, and the battery was at just under half). Unfortunately with the external flash does not support the HSS, but this is a feature of the entire 3000 and 5000 series. In conclusion, if you want to take an entry level room, THE FULL TIP.

Pros: Lightness, file quality, orientable display.

Cons: For its category nothing.

Opinion: After using several times the D5500 borrowed from my wife, I decided to take this D5600 to take with me when I need lightness and small size . The quality of the sensor is equal to that of the older sisters, good iso sealing and shadow recovery. Af is also quite fast on par with the D810 I tried it with the 300 f4 , the 80/ 200 afs 2.8 and some sigma Art. Very good also the ergonomics for such a small body.
