Pros: Image quality , weight and size

Cons: tropicalization

Opinion: A magic lens, fabulous from many points of view, portability and weight mean that you can carry it even inside a pocket of a jacket or trousers, fuji in my opinion does not produce more lenses of this kind, especially with regard to weight and portability. The images he creates are poetry. Anyone with a fuji system should try this lens at least once, especially because it is now at excellent prices

Pros: must buy for those who only use Fuji aps-c

Cons: af slow and noisy, not tropicalized

Opinion: What can I say, everyone has talked about it, and let's throw down two lines! I had this 35 some time, and I confess that in the ocean of material I have, sometimes I went out with him tied to an xpro-2. Magic! It reminded me of a great voigtlander, a vintage lens, something special, a Canon 50 1.2, something artistic, picturesque, not very precise, but so pleasant... Did I return? It has some defects for heaven's sake, the AF is very slow and probably not too resistant (go and understand when the specimen that arrives in your hands was produced), but the photos it really takes let you forgive EVERYTHING. Among other things, it should be noted that the dimensions are very compact, useless to try to describe it, look for a comparison on the net with other lenses you own. It does not even cover the optical viewfinder of the xpro in a particularly invasive way, to get an idea. For me it is an excellent lens of character, vintage, but with the addition of a decent autofocus for amateur use. I had the opportunity to compare it to the new 33 and obviously it comes out defeated for professional use, where the 33 clearly outclasses it with regard to the management of aberrations and backlight, AF speed, various distortions ... It should be noted, however, that the 33 is practically double if not triple once the hood is mounted in terms of size, and it is a factor to take into account. If I went out with the xpro tied around my neck, I wouldn't think half a second about leaving 33 on the bench in favor of the old 35. For this reason, I also believe they are lenses that can coexist in a kit, and I do not see them overlapping, so much so that Fuji is continuing to produce both. If in doubt, if Fuji aps-c is your only kit, a walk taking two photos I would do it, for what it costs then now used ...

Pros: dimensions, weight, barrel and metal hood, three-dimensionality, 1 aspherical element in pure glass

Cons: rings too fluid compared to WR models, absence of tropicalization, slow and not always precise AF, noisy

Opinion: My first lens of the Fujifilm system chosen in modern times where we now have both the 35 WR f2 and the 33 f1.4 WR, but this in my opinion is a legendary optics, it is no coincidence that even today Fuji does not remove it from the catalog. The optics from an aesthetic point of view is perfect, small, well balanced, built with materials of the highest order, including lenses. Many may not know it and underestimate the issue, but this optics mounts 1 real aspherical element in pure glass, here some will say and what are the lenses made of? Well, there are mineral glasses (pure glass) and organic glasses (synthetic), minerals represent the highest quality. Given these premises, the optics have been chosen wisely, keeping in mind all its limits objects of construction that this first series has, including a slow and noisy AF, but on recent bodies, however, the AF is acceptable, not at the levels of the WR. On the noise honestly I have no problems indeed sometimes I appreciate it because I feel that it is working. The image quality is amazing, the fact of being a 35mm and not a 33 means that the pdc is smaller and more similar to an equivalent of a 50mm FF. With open apertures the lens is soft but at the right point without degrading too much, also the micro contrast is slightly under tone perfect for obtaining portrait photos with a unique look. The aperture ring here is this is too soft compared to the WR version. I hope fuji proposes an updated version keeping the same lenses, size and weight, but with slightly improved AF engine and tropicalization.

Pros: Pleasantness of the images, compactness / lightness (it is still an f1.4!), build quality, a Fujifilm classic on the list for many years (if it did not have some merit it would not be there yet)

Cons: AF not fast (but very usable), optically dated and not at the top (but is this really a problem?).

Opinion: When I decided to join Fujifilm's APSC system 2 years ago, the 35 f1.4 (50mm equivalent) was the first lens I bought. Both because many spoke well of it but also because when in the 90s I began to photograph, doing a photography course, the first camera (SLR) that I bought I equipped to comedy with a 50mm (on the advice of the teacher of the course). Excellent starting point, classic fixed lens (instead of the zoom of little value, which today goes for the most). As a focal it may or may not like it (as with all things) but in its kind it is a valuable lens. Built well, without primates of optical quality but compensating with an image rendering also in my opinion, as for many, it is very pleasant. Today there are several lenses that are optically very performing, precise, very sharp... they are so hypercorrect that they often give a feeling of aseptic coldness. It is logical that when the lenses all tend towards the same optical precision vertex their yield is very similar. It is not easy to find words that describe sensations, but this lens easily gives an image rendering that returns a "warm" feeling, it is pleasant, pleasant, "enveloping". If, on the other hand, you are looking for a lens that tends to optical perfection... look elsewhere (... but I put a doubt: do you really need all this optical perfection?) I read an article that dealt with optical quality in photographic lenses. He said something like that every lens is like a "recipe" with which engineers balance the various optical aberrations, "dose" them in some ways, and there are two paths that can be followed. The first way (or philosophy) is to tend to the balance/ attenuation as neutral and precise as possible between the various aberrations, in order to reduce the defects as much as possible. The second is to have as a priority a certain characterization of the image rendering, perhaps at the expense of some imbalance / optical defect. So two different philosophies, one is effficiency and optical precision, the other is to look for a certain kind of pleasantness and characterization of image (without bothering words like "magic"). If you like the philosophy of image pleasantness and you are less interested in the primacy of optical quality I recommend a Fujifilm camera with the triad 18 f2, 35 f1.4 and 60 f2.4. Unfortunately, very few products of this type are produced today and in fact many enthusiasts go to look for certain particular renderings of the image going fishing among the "vintage" lenses. In my opinion, it is a merit of Fujifilm to have an eye towards this kind of product. This without detracting from the optical excellence, WR, AF, of many modern lenses (including for example the new Fujifilm f1.4 lenses).

Pros: Excellent lens, excellent blurred and beautiful incision closing the diaphragm slightly. Lightness

Cons: maybe the autofocus but on an XT4 travels

Opinion: I have owned it for a few years and I put it on sale here on the market because in all this time I have used it very very little, too little, simply because the 50mm is not my focal length. I love wide-angle and super wide-angle lenses + medium telephoto. Not everything in between. The few photos I took there, especially reportage portraits, convinced me a lot for the quality. For those who love to photograph with the 50 can not miss in his bag.

Pros: Optical rendering (blur, detachment of planes, sharpness).

Cons: Autofocus (also with the performance boost provided by the latest bodies).

Opinion: It is difficult to describe this 35mm (52mm on ff format) without talking about the suffering it can cause because of the old autofocus, and the excellent resolution in the center of the frame, excellent not excellent at f / 1.4 and home at the edges, in practice its little brother 33mm outclasses it in everything. The factor of greatest incidence is the autofocus, slow, imprecise, noisy in dynamic situations (af-c) and in non-optimal lights, this also called in relation to the boost with bodies such as xt3/4 and later. Understood and digested this limit, more or less serious depending on the use, the photos it churns out are still impressive, you also want for the old optical project and the not perfect resolution and you find yourself enjoying its blurred, the detachment of the soft planes and an excellent three-dimensionality based on the distance person / environment. I see it well as a lens for controlled scenes, less for dynamic ones, it must be thoroughly tested without starting from prejudices and comparisons with the most modern optics for obvious reasons, otherwise they are money thrown to the wind.

Pros: Lightness, comfort of the diaphragmi ring, blurred rendering

Cons: Autofocus not as fast as the latest optics but still good.

Opinion: It is one of the optics that convinced me to switch from SLR to mirrorless. Coupled with an XE-3 allows you to have in very little space, weight and, let's face it, expense, a tool that I have no problem defining as excellent. Neutral color rendering, beautiful tonal range. It is undoubtedly one of the optics that I use the most of the Fuji park.

Pros: Full aperture yield, diaphragms ring, construction.

Cons: -

Opinion: The "standard" focal length lens of the Fujifilm system. I'd been using it for a while as the only lens. We go back a bit in time, when zoom lenses were not part of our kits. It teaches how to manage light, depth of field (very small, of course, at full aperture) and shots. The yield is excellent in all conditions. At full opening it has its own magic, with a very pleasant soft/flou effect, especially in the close-ups, and an incredible blur. The diaphragmi ring I find excellent, as well as the hood. Closing the aperture a little the sharpness becomes excellent, but it is evident that it is not the reason why you buy it. The solid construction makes it a valuable object. The focus on my x-e3 I find fast and precise enough. Frankly, I find it hard to find fault with such a goal. Very good.

Pros: Magic

Cons: Autofocus. Yield at close range.

Opinion: Those who talk about this lens often use a recurring word: magic. Impossible to blame him. The yield is typically of other times. Excellent detachment of the floors. The colors are realistic. Sharp but without exaggerating, which loves soft yield. Blurred great for being an aps-c. In short, a lens that seems to have been born for the portrait, giving the best of itself to the medium distance rather than to close positions. The construction is solid, which does not hurt. Of course, at full aperture it is decidedly soft and easily indulges in aberrations, easily correctable. Some reservations also about autofocus. Not so much for the noise, which you get used to, as for the precision. At least on X-T2, in fact, every now and then it shows some uncertainty and does not always score. A lens with a strong personality and a very specific character, almost unique, which brings with it nostalgia and the memory of the analog era. It must be purchased with the awareness of its limits, enhancing its merits. The only real flaw is the focal length, which I do not love, but that is my limit.

Pros: sharpness, bokeh, build quality

Cons: af a bit noisy

Opinion: One of the lenses of the original Fuji triad (the other two are the XF 18mm and the 60mm), which I have never regretted having purchased. Despite the somewhat dated af, compared to the successor f2, it remains a very valid lens, both for sharpness and for bokeh. If you are looking for a lens with character and that stands out from the others, the XF 35mm f1.4 is for you. Ken Rockwell even compares it to the highly renowned Summilux-M 50mm 1.4, saying that it exceeds its performance in bokeh and that it is sharper even than the Summicron-M 50mm f2. With this business card, and having tried it abundantly for about 9 years, I can only confirm and warmly recommend it.

Pros: Quality / price, very artistic, minimum distance, vintage colors, 50 mm vision, 50 mm versatility, unique stamp, bokeh strangely more progressive than a 50mm full frame

Cons: Absolutely none, unique project of its kind.

Opinion: Interesting focal length, extremely unique in its behavior, lens for apsc that behaves like full frame 50 mm, a bokeh of the same level, I owned the 50 mm art for Sony and I can say that the softness of the xf makes the bokeh seem creamier but without losing detail in the file. In short, with this lens I feel like having the barrel full and the wife drunk. Af on xt4 absolutely usable also for action photos.

Pros: Old-time lens, distortion, colors, bokeh, minimum maf distance

Cons: The way I mean photography... nobody

Opinion: I heard some cooked and raw on this goal, diaphragm ring too soft, car focus slow, the barrel ing out, not tropicalized, blah blah blah blah! Use it to take pictures and not to take test charts and you realize that you have a little jewel in your hands... by the way, even the Leica goals, are not topicalized, the barrel comes out and the focus car does not have it at all, but they are considered among the best lenses in the world!!!

Pros: Image quality, construction

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: When Fuji built this lens he had to decide whether to make it perfect from the point of view of graphics and scientific tests or make it perfect for real use. Luckily, he chose the second way. It's a crazy optics, colors, three-dimensionality and blurry unique. The photos taken with this 35 f1.4 recognize them immediately. As I said it's not made for 400% comparisons, it's not made for absolute sharpness, but in real life it's the best Fuji lens you can find. It is no coincidence that it has been on the list for 10 years and there is and will never be an mk2 version. The optical scheme is unique, it is studied like this, it is perfect! I held the 35f2 and this together for a long time, once I went out with one, once with the other. I mixed up the photos and looked at them after a long time. Nothing to do, the 35 f2 loses in all respects. It's only okay if the most important requirement is tropicalization. However with the build quality of this f1.4, I doubt it has problems with a bit of moisture. Moreover, leica targets are not tropicalized either, but they are used in every corner of the earth in the most absurd situations. Ah, autofocus! I use it with the X-Pro3 and X-S10 and for the use that you make of a 35mm (I don't think someone does birdlife or photo hunting with a 35) it's excellent. Slower than the f2 version, but you won't miss the shot because of the AF, I assure you. Noise? Nothing strange here, too. Okay, the new ones with ultrasonic engines don't really make noise and that kind of does, but no one will hear you, don't ;) It is an optics of character, which serves to take PHOTOGRAPHS! Together with the 14 f2.8 they are the two best lenses ever. You have to take a look at Leica to find an equally satisfying image quality.

Pros: It's made of metal, it blures, it's on fire, it's bright and it costs a little bit and it does what you'd expect

Cons: Aberrant, it's slow, it makes noise, it looks like a 50 but it's not, but it's cluttered the same.

Opinion: It has pros and cons. I only used it a year for laziness, each time it bothered me but I liked it as an idea and gave it confidence. It's slow and noisy, it would like to make the 50 but you realize something is missing, it doesn't have such a soft blur, yet it weighs just as much. It is pleasant to handle, solid metal. If it were lighter, cheaper and more compact, however, it would make more sense.

Pros: Bokeh, colors, vintage font

Cons: Af

Opinion: This lens has something special. I don't know why but the photos have something special, vintage that reminds me of the film. I like the rendering and the colors terribly. The photos you take have its own brand. The blurry is very nice, I love shooting at 1.4. Fabulous for set portraits. It is true sometimes the AF does the whims but I would not sell it at all to the world. It pays you back with the images it churns out. That they have that touch that only 35 1.4 can give!

Pros: Small and discreet, vintage look

Cons: Autofocus, construction, price-performance ratio

Opinion: I used this lens for over a year as the only lens attached to my XT30 fuji. I needed a small and discreet combination but also fast and performing. I found the 35 a nice lens all in all, particularly suitable for the vintage nature of some fuji bodies. the lens really starts to show its side compared to competitors (especially FF). the seniority of the project is more than evident. the resolution remains excellent despite the very high density of modern aps-c fuji, but haimè aberrations are very evident, especially in some contexts. I had to throw away a series of beautiful summer photos because the rippled surface of the water was half purple and half green. but even contrasted contexts such as backlights are vuori of the annoying Purple fringe. the blurry is .... Vintage! very few differences between the blurry obtained with this 35 and with the 50 minolta rokkor on FF. in some contexts there is, in some contexts indeed, emphasizes. but clearly not in all. to me, after a while he got tired. also because alternatives to this fuji lens practically there is none. the 35 f2 is modern and very well controlled, but loses a whole stop and much blurry on aps-c. one of the most annoying things ever is the excursion of the frontal lens during sealing. Which I didn't see of the KIT 18-55 lens I had 10 years ago. that allows dust and dirt to damage the optics very easily. finally, autofocus. absolutely not at the level of more modern lenses.

Pros: Sharpness, bokeh, three-dimensionality, general yield.

Cons: Autofocus, ta chromatic aberrations, loss of sharpness with very close shots.

Opinion: It's not a flaw-free lens, but in what it excels at, it really excels. Its highlight is certainly the extraordinary sharpness even at 1.4, which allows you to make the most of the three-dimensionality of the lens at full opening, producing among other things a wonderful bokeh. The color rendering is also the optimal one of the xf objectives. As already mentioned, the downsides are there and they are well known to everyone (if you also look at the reviews outside of this site) but they remain, at least as far as my needs are concerned, manageable. Autofocus with low light easily goes into crisis and can be frustrating, but it is accurate and also fast in sufficient light conditions. Chromatic aberrations are present at full opening with un controlled lights, but they already disappear by closing a stop. With extremely close shots, at full aperture, the sharpness is insufficient if you want to enlarge or cut the image, but it improves a lot by closing the diaphragm. Ultimately I recommend it absolutely also compared to the 35mm f2, which I had for about a year: as for autofocus I did not find substantial differences, the 35mm f2 is a little more versatile, but both are not suitable for sports photography and moving subjects; as for blurry and three-dimensionality, on the other hand, the plus stop really makes a difference.

Pros: Opening, Blur, Size, and Weight

Cons: In certain situations the AF slow

Opinion: And a fantastic optic, I've owned it for over a year, I bought it used. Small size, featherweight and wide opening make it truly a super lens. It has a blurry one that many other lenses dream of, a paste of its own. If you appreciate the 50mm angle of the field (actually the mm are 53 equivalents on FF, but little changes) then take it absolutely. You won't regret it. Extraordinary quality even at TA, the dials are perfect, that of diaphragms is neither too soft nor too hard, the same thing happens for that of focus. The AF in some cases struggles a little to hook, but it is not a problem if you do not take photos of moving subjects, here maybe for photos to children, or sports subjects, dogs etc. I would prefer the 35mm f2 or the 50 f2 which are much more responsive. Rating 9.5

Pros: General yield, sharpness, three-dimensionality, stamp

Cons: Noisy AF

Opinion: An eye that excites, with a personality of its own. Being a 50 mm equivalent is not a focal point that amazes for the angle of field, practically similar to that of the human eye, I have always avoided the fifty and fifty for this reason but I wanted to take it for its original stamp and great quality at TA. The autofocus is not as fast as the last born but fulfills well to its purpose even if you feel a certain noise. It would be desirable to revise this model in a modern way with more high and tropicalized af, I think fuji sooner or later will put our hands but at a high price.

Pros: Compactness, quality, bokeh, vintage yield

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: Bought and sold twice, I am aware that sooner or later I will buy it back. The baked images are unique and you can tell on the fly what they were taken with. Wonderful Blur that makes the photos three-dimensional. Af is sometimes uncertain but I've never tried it on the latest generation Fuji. To be combined with the Xf18 and the Xf60 to have a single compact and lightweight kit for all situations

Pros: Image quality, compactness, lightness, pleasantness of use, lampshade

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: In combination with Fuji X-Pro 3 glue it matches perfectly in my opinion: excellently balanced, as weight and size. Even with the optical viewfinder of the X-Pro 3 it doesn't bother you particularly. Excellent optical quality, it is perfectly clear even at full opening (f 1.4), and gives magical bokehs. On the X-Pro 3 does not complain in my opinion even so much the speed of Autofocus: it is not perhaps a lightning bolt in that sense, but it is more than quick for almost all occasions. In addition, it allows you to rediscover the equivalent 50mm (in FF) as an all-rounder optics, suitable for both the Street, but also the Travel Reportage, the Landscape, and the Portrait. Great lens, over-recommended. Ah not last great the metal lampshade included: beautiful and practical.

Pros: Yield, absurd sharpness even at TA, brightness, wonderful bokeh, beautiful lampshade

Cons: Parlaluce not comfortable (albeit wonderful), AF not as fast as other Fujifilm optics

Opinion: I bought this lens attracted by the focus and especially the brightness. I also enjoyed the yield, really very high. The sharpness is excellent already at 1.4, closing slightly becomes superb even at the edges. Blurring is something magical, wonderful, almost dreamlike. In the out-of-focus areas you can see really particular, beautiful shades of color. About the construction is very well made, metal with a lampshade as beautiful (we can call it vintage) as uncomfortable at certain times. About autofocus definitely is not an ultra fast target, in this the F2 is definitely better. With the X-T3 I honestly can not complain, it is quite accurate but not a splinter. It's also quite noisy. Pulling the sums, I am really happy with this goal, I think should not miss in any Fuji kit!

Pros: Sharpness, Bokeh.

Cons: AF, WR, perhaps the doubt are many optics of 35 mm different brands on the market and also at the highest level optically and brighter but with manual focus.

Opinion: One of fuji's first optics. Pro Optical yield in the center also good at f1.4 where we find an excellent Bokeh.Closing the diaphragm continue better even the angles so at f5.6 are excellent therefore excellent also for photography landscapes also made excellent even over long distances. Sometimes it seems surreal to very open diaphragms as it detaches the foreground. Against slow AF although improved with the Fuji X-t3 likely further improvements with the new Fuji X-t4 at the end one of the optics where I find nothing negative maybe the focal not everyone loves it a focal 35 mm.Si can also find in the backlight a can of chromatic aberrations at maximum f1.4 openings but nothing dramatic. There is no WR gaskets for dust and humidity but I do not consider it important on this lens only signaled. I would say an extremely recommended lens.

Pros: Small, all metal, diaphragm diaphragms, sharp even at 1.4, fairytale bokeh

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: For me it is one of the most successful goals of the house. You mount it and you don't detach it anymore, fairytale bokeh and a fearsome sharpness. They say the AF is slow, but I've never had a problem with it... Certainly in low light conditions it won't hold up the newer Nikons, but I doubt you'll come home empty-handed.

Pros: All

Cons: Nothing?

Opinion: I've been using it for a few months and I have to say That I really like it! it's really nice to see, the dials work well, it's small and light, the images returned are great, it's my first lens for Fuji so I can't make comparisons in terms of noise and focus, which however have never given me any problems If that's noise guys forget the reflexes with their CIAK, obviously for videos the talk might change, but I don't deal with it. The price could have been a lower hair but they're not fools.

Pros: Bokeh, subject detachment, contrast and colors, pretty fast autofocus on X-T3, small and light

Cons: It is not tropicalized, ring opening a little soft and is not stabilized

Opinion: I bought it second-hand a month ago, made two trips and never disassembled it again... it will be the 1.4, it will be that it is "soft" at the right point but what I noticed is that shooting with this lens makes each shot "magical", especially in conditions of little light. The bokeh is very pleasant and the focal (52.5mm in the 35mm format) I really like for both the street and for excellent portraits set. I have an X-T3 and the AF is quite fast, certainly not as fast as the 50-140 which is a splinter but I did not find the slowness that many talk about, it seems almost as fast as the 18-55. It is definitely a lens to have in your kit, especially for the value for money. The defects That I found for me are 3, it being understood that this lens I will never give away because I have completely fallen in love with it: the opening ring is a little soft and sometimes I happened to move it without realizing it, it is not stabilized (problem solvable with the IBIS) but above all it is not tropicalized and this is a real shame because in two trips That I made I always clashed with the rain and I lost many shots (I tried at Fuji Days the 35mm f2 which is WR but didn't convey any emotion to me). Finally very nice metal hood, however it is a bit laborious to reinsert the cap with the mounted hood (you have to tilt it slightly to let it in and it struggles to hold in place).

Pros: Small Light Autofocus Fast With X T3

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: Wonderful Objective and Dreamy Light In Portraits I think it gives its best thanks to a wonderful creamy blur a soft wire at 1.4 especially at the edges but it goes and gives a touch more to the photo from f2 becomes very sharp On the Xt2 was a little slow in autofoc us On the T3 is a splinter. for what it costs between new used and import market to be stinged

Pros: General quality, blurred at full opening, weight, aesthetics

Cons: Almost nothing

Opinion: A respectable lens. A lens built very well and with a really affordable price for what it offers. I also had the 35 f2, but this one I prefer both for sharpness and colors and for blurry and not least for aesthetics. It adapts very well to the X-T3 and the slowness of the autofocus compared to the f2 (definitely found) for me was not a major problem. I don't use it for action photos or sports, so... the bokeh is remarkable and at full opening it defends really well, I did not believe. It's a focal point that i personally care a little tight (52.5 mm) but despite everything I struggle to remove it from the machine. Only the diaphragm diaphragm diaphragm a little too soft and easy to move, otherwise really recommended.

Pros: Blurred, three-dimensionality, character, price quality.

Cons: Autofocus acceptable to me, but far from the common needs of this period.

Opinion: A small jewel, light, robust and with excellent optical quality. A must have for every Fuji user. Used with both X-T1 and now with X-pro1, it never bothered me with autofocus, which I consider acceptable for a non-action photograph! The common needs of this period concern hyper-performing and lightning-fast autofocus, but for static subjects, I believe all this difference (which in the practical act is laughable) I do not consider it fundamental.

Pros: Size/weight, top deadlift, sharpness

Cons: Some say noisy. I honestly found no flaws.

Opinion: I needed a 50mm eq. for my studio photos, fashion and street style. Bought for just over 300 euros I immediately tested it on my X-E3 on a trip to Mallorca and I must say it stunned me. First of all I would like to dispel the myth that the AF is slow because it has always crangled at the first opportunity and I have not found any cannate photos. Of course maybe it's faster than brother F2, but we're really talking about small things. At f/1.4 it is a bit soft but still sharp as per FUJI standard, it already improves sharply to f/1.8-2. Bokeh very nice and above all a detachment of the subject to scream. Not even the 23 1.4 succeeds so well in the enterprise. Great purchase considering the price. A MUST HAVE.

Pros: Sharpness, weight, construction, general yield

Cons: It works really well only with X-T3 and later

Opinion: I had this optics twice, the first disappointing one on the X-T20, now love has sprung up on the X-T30. We have a very light glass that has high optical qualities, sharp, great flat deadlift, microcontrast, colors, too bad that on the old fuji is an unreliable grinder, on the X-T3 and T30 (and the next ones that will come) is simply a sniper, instant, not never makes mistakes, not even at 20 FPS at TA AFC. On human subjects is simply to have, portrait killer lens with a character of its own! Update: Even on X-H1 says its, compared to the X-T2 has much less uncertainty, there remains some problem with difficult light situations compared to the X-T3 but it is... Reliable

Pros: Optical Quality, depth of field control, construction, lightness, compactness, handiness

Cons: Noise

Opinion: Exceptional Lens for sharpness at all Aperts (the top reaches it at f/5.6) and virtually nothing distortion, almost invisible aberrations, the bokeh is pleasant and especially "exists", unlike the new F/2 that have maybe too much depth of field that Returns very "flat" images. The Metal Construction is appreciated, as well as the extreme lightness (despite the amount of glass it contains) and the great compactness does not go to the detriment of ergonomics (unlike the Fujicron, much more "subtle"). Only two in the, from my point of view, are the noise due mainly to the opening/closing of the diaphragm when you focus and the aperture ring a little slack and easy to move inadvertently, defects typical of the first generation of Fujinon XF. Even The AF is a little slow, compared to the new generation, but nothing that does lose the "decisive moment" in the shooting phase, then a false problem.

Pros: Optical quality, colors, brightness, blurry.

Cons: Noise autofocus, the 2 caps (lens + hood), speed AF compared to the F2 version, AF (sometimes).

Opinion: After using the new 35 F2 on X-T1 I realized the purchase of the 35 F 1.4 on X-T20 (one of my time fixed). What to say: Splendid! Despite the well known and little practical protection caps (the plastic one for the lens can not be removed with the lens hood engaged and the rubber cap on the hood is removed instantly), combined with a lower AF speed and ease of engagement in comparison to Little brother F2 (not so abysmal), I can only confirm the excellent build quality, brightness, the beautiful colors and blurry that gives in every occasion. The new 35 F2 is perhaps more engraved, certainly quieter, but the shots that gives the 35 1.4 are simply superb! If I were to give an evaluation, 9 for the new 35 F2, 10 for the 35 F 1.4 (despite the well-known cons). N.B.: Definitely try!

Pros: Versatility, personality, lightness

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: I bought, used because I'm not financially wealthy, the 23 and the 35mm f1.4. The first reason I avoided the F2 is the aesthetics: For me they are unwatchable. Then I assessed the opening, which was not however a decisive factor, as I do not photograph much in interiors. As for this 35mm, I read about peculiar personalities and color and these qualities confirm after intensive use. I would say that if I had to choose, at the moment, one indispensable objective for my Fuji would be this. I like even more than the 23mm which, in theory, is the focal to me most congenial. Great little tool. PS after a few months of constant use, I confirm that it is my favorite Fuji lens. Extremely versatile.

Opinion: Used to do a service, I can say that it is a good lens with a certain character bokeh to f1.4, I would say pleasant, remember vintage optics.rnDistorsioni absent, so I find it great to do portraits half-length, but long for do portraits or other kind of ambient, I speak of course of personal opinion, of course is that it is a lens a few years ago..2012 that would require a proper upgrade.rnI've sold because the af I think it is very poor, but not for performaces but for vibrations that transmits awesome stuff !! Pros: Everything, weight, balance, blur, brightness

Cons: Nothing, maybe a little noisy but not having to spy is silent anyway

Opinion: What to say, you have to try it .. It has a blurry fantasy, a yield that raises the price / quality bracket to another level, taken with xt20, no kits or other lenses .. I picked what it was for me without delay and I'm has been repaid, focused on the subject at 1.4 gives a blurry impressive shoulders, if used with the Acros simulation for the BN fuji outdrawn photoshop..thank you "good the first" .. I was really happy with the choice made in front of other reviews but by proving it, once in my possession, the satisfaction is maximum, very shallow depth of field .. it stacks the subjects on different floors and is a beautiful effect especially if compared to the price I repeat for a purpose of this bill, was branded with the two usual Unieuro brands, it would cost at least 4 times as much

Cons: autofocus noise,

Opinion: I do not know if I am among the few ... but I sold 35/2 for this 1.4! the latest model was captivating but without any personality.Too perfect! I used it little or nothing! In the end it cost me 200 euros more ... (barter) to have a 1.4 that allows me to hold the 90/2 ... for the situations that compete with him! Pros: Sharpness, used price, contrast, construction, metallic hood, rendered across the frame, colors

Cons: Frontal cap that can not be removed if left mounted hood, not WR, af speed compared to new version f2 (see below)

Opinion: I've tried both the new 35mm f2 fuji on X-E1 and 1.4. In the end I preferred the 1.4 version I wanted since I had the X-T1 (then sold). Now I took an X-E1 for light outputs and because I was always with the weak vs fuji, despite having made a leap (but not so much) to Full Frame with Canon 6D. I love the Fuji system and adore the rendering of this optic. The Fuji optics simply do not find worthy opponents in the competition of the most well-known brands. This 35mm 1.4 besides being very bright and built really well, it has an AF which unlike what you say is not so slow, not as fast as the f2 version, but still faster than the 50 1.4 canon (right for a comparison) . By the way I use it on X-E1 which certainly is not the last model out. It is also capable of hanging in backlight, under really difficult conditions! The bokeh I still can not evaluate it well, I have to try with better light conditions to have a complete idea. The sharpness is also at 1.4 (mostly in the centRo), I think I can best finish by 2.8, where you can see a really amazing definition. The price in the used is very good (taken at 320 € shipped), the new however is not so high. I would have preferred a better cap, the hood I really like, I do not know if it's original and it's also in metal. But if you keep the attached hood you can not remove the cap, which I've noticed is annoying. Finally, I recommend all the Fuji series. Even though the zoom is great, the fuji fuels set for the X series are another planet. Maybe in the future I'll definitely be back on Fuji and complete the kit with all the XF series fixes. For now the 6D is not in question and coupled with the X-E1 and this 35 1.4 will have a great time to have fun.

Pros: Many.

Cons: Few.

Opinion: Always very sharp in the center and closing a bit across the entire frame. Beautifully blurred, a very successful blend between the confused and the foggy, great colors and so much ease of use of the fuji system. Compared to my 50 sigma much less perfect and for this and other features in my taste you know how to love more. Stitches apart, body and hoods gorgeous. Always precise even with low lighting but it does slow down, but I repeat without losing the precision. Perfection in photography is measurable but the satisfaction and the taste of photographing and enjoying the result using a tool rather than another no, so for me deserves a good 10.

Pros: Diaphragm, blurred, focal all do

Cons: AF not fast, as reported by many of the two caps

Opinion: On aps becomes a 50 to 1.4, focal that I personally love, the optics is clear already at TA, giving a very blurry very pleasant, from my point of view with its 50mm equivalent is a perfect all to do by the big opening, plus it's small And light but with a granite construction. AF does not lighten up, you have to consider it if you plan to buy it, possibly from this point of view the 35 f2 is much faster. As I would say, I also did not spare the plugs system, the plastic one for the lens that can not be removed with the injected hood and the rubber stopper that goes on the hood ... on the hood I go countercurrent really that for what it is Made can not be mounted in a rest position, from which the rubber stopper ... but aesthetic to a retro style that well blends with the aesthetics of the Fuji and which I really like very much ...

Pros: Bokeh, weight, used price, diaphragm, first lens.

Cons: AF at times.

Opinion: I have tried many of the fixed Fuji and my favorite is definitely the 35mm 1.4 that produces crisp files with a bokeh fabulous, giving a stunning three-dimensionality. I 'fairly light and take it easily attached to my faithful XE2s. Used it is located between the eur 340/360 while again goes to 500. Obviously, it applies them all. I made a comparison with 35mm f2 that has more than just the tropicalisation body. For the rest, the 35mm 2 is easily outclassed by the quality of 1.4. In PP I do many crop without losing anything in terms of sharpness. The only sore point is the AF which emits a noise a bit annoying and sometimes does not hook immediately (especially in the street). But what engages produces incredible files. Let's be clear: the AF is great, but personally miss the first photos of 30 in street because of his speed. I can never abandon the Fuji because that would mean leaving this fabulous goal that gave me and is giving me fantastic fotografie.rnAGGIORNN: I used the 35mm 1.4 during a concert of an Italian artist known. I was 15 meters away, taking with ISO 3200, f2.8, shutter 1800, came out of the masterpieces despite many crop. Straconsigliato!

Pros: sharpness at all apertures, lifelike colors, blurred pleasant, robust construction, price

Cons: noisy, not stabilized

Opinion: Got used after a bit 'of indecision between this and the new f2, I chose the 1.4 for the stop in more than diaphragm and to the reputation of religious lens which has already earned. Prior to this the only Native lens Fuji I had used was 16-50, that is, the leap is scary in (almost) all the senses, I am very satisfied so that I have not yet detached from the machine after more than a month, it has become my all-rounder for landscapes "tight", portraits and travel photography. Coupled to the X-trans returns tons of detail and contrast even at large apertures, sometimes even too much - in portraits, I found myself having to lower the sharpness in post since it does not forgive the slightest imperfection of the skin. Closed at f5.6 - f8 is monstrous throughout the frame, in large apertures instead pulls out a blurry in my beautiful, with a yield almost vintage. robust, solid construction, has survived without a scratch and without the slightest problem in a fall onthe concrete by a meter altezza.rnrnIl much-maligned AF I do not create any particular problems for the type of photos that I, a little effort 'in low light or backlit but nothing tragic (though I use it on an X-E1, on bodies latest probably is much better) ... in this sense, however, the plasticotto 16-50, as well as having a good stabilizer was much faster and mostly quiet - 35 at times it seems to be grinding the coffee during focusing. rnrnAl price at which now runs on used is to have at all costs.

Cons: A cap to forget, hoods

Opinion: Taken new on ebay, paid about like f2. I liked the many positive reviews and above all for the 1.4 I wanted to have, as well as the aesthetics that I find much better than the successor. I was afraid of undecided focus as I read in numerous reviews but I just had to recapture myself as soon as I was mounted on my XE2S: the merit of the car? Thanks to new updates? However it is fast, perfect hooking in all conditions, I would say almost better than the 18:55 I had in the kit. I have decided to write this review immediately to encourage those who like me were doubtful in the purchase, just maybe (in addition to the usual cap and hood) slightly noisy but nothing like that.

Cons: The lens hood cap in the package, comes off with a puff, when no other

Opinion: Mounted on my Xe2 updated to firmware 4.0 is also fast in focus, honestly I have not noticed rebounds strange, I'd promoted to full, even in low light. Sometimes you can escape us a tune incorrect fire, in a position to strongly backlit with focus on the subject in the shade, but honestly I think it's also a matter of knowing the equipment thoroughly. Two Saturdays ago I did a wedding there as a helper, taking Xe2 and 35 mm 1.4, I was really satisfied, never any problem with speed or catching strange. Really good !!! The bokken is great as well as the sharpness, and if we look at the price in my opinion is not high, it paid € 499. Featherweight that goes well with fuji philosophy. well nice :) Add to this! Pros: Size, clarity, directness in the use of the character of focal

Cons: Literally infamous hood, focus sometimes laborious

Opinion: It 'a kind of fantastic little canvases to portraits, street, reportage, with a minimum diaphragm that ensures excellent sharpness and blur, extremely versatile for both images in full light with minimal lighting. The dimensions are the ideal complement to the fuji, and manual is fantastic because, like all the objectives of this brand, is working like the old analog thanks to the aperture ring which is to place it deserves. Not the detachment almost never from the camera body because the vision and the details that returns must be referred to, in particular, can play forever on close-ups / blurred relationship with splendid results, perhaps it should only be compared with the 23 mm (equivalent to 35 I never had) for the street. painful notes: the hood, I'm speechless as for other fuji and replaced with an equivalent in readily available metal, and making sometimes laborious fire with uncertainty I can not define precisely but with the transition to x pro 2 are much reduced. coNCLUSION: very good.

The color rendering commendable and focused even better than the 23mm because of longer focal length. The AF is not lightning but still good and accurate. E 'virtually free from defects, can be used in ambient light as in the landscape, maintains a resolution surprising even to minimum distances of focus, seems also exempted from the curvature of field, typical of this kind of optics. The AF is fast enough, the distortion is virtually absent, as the light falloff at the edges. The fuzzy af: 1.4 eaf: 2 is very pleasant and high sharpness of intermediate diaphragms goes out to the more remote areas of the field of view. It 's really hard to find fault with this goal.
