Pros: Versatile, stabilized, good sharpness, construction that infuses a certain concreteness.

Cons: Aberrations in the backlight pushed.

Opinion: I have been using this 18/55 for almost four years mainly on holidays and motorcycle trips. I can only speak well of this goal, it is not specialized ... But a jack of all trades is in the "everything" does it well! But let's go back... I bought in kit with xe3 using it the right and reading various articles and reviews I started to snub it ... buying some of Fuji's most famous fixed lenses that for heaven's sake are fantastic ... To which a month ago I decided to print some photo books and a photo frame of various trips, family, holidays and ... I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the prints to the point that some I had to review the shooting data to recognize the lens ... In conclusion, would I recommend the purchase? Yes given the price ! If you do not have to do who knows what specialized "jobs" is a lens that gave me satisfaction!

Pros: Excellent "gem" usually in kit

Cons: It's not like a fixed

Opinion: It is the first fuji lens that has accompanied me since its purchase in kit with the xt1 camera body. Since 2012 it is still in production and if we read everywhere it is a super estimated goal. Fuji gave us an exceptional gift, just compare it with the plastic counterparts of other famous brands.... better not to say anything else. It is in my opinion one of the most successful zooms ever, especially when compared to the price although constantly increasing. The range 27 - 80 mm equivalent is one of the most suitable for any type of photography except macro or super zoom niches. It can give wonderful shots, especially at apertures between 5 .6 and 11 mm and in the intermediate range of the zoom. For the rest, everything has been said, including one of the "few" defects or the low light. But in the face of such a "gift", everything cannot be wanted. Soon I will try his direct antagonist 16 55 2.8 fixed , whose yield I am certainly superior. But the weight....... ?! When it will be I will be able to tell you ....

Pros: Quality of materials, sharpness, excellent brightness for a kit lens

Cons: None for the cost and type of goal

Opinion: Excellent goal, in my opinion the best among those supplied in kits by the various brands. It is sharp and allows you to take home great shots. Also perfect for getting around with a single lens. AF more than good, always accurate in the single with X-T1. I've never tried it all the time. Taken used at 270€, it is very good value for money. Advised!

Pros: Excellent mechanical build quality, feeling of robustness. Beautiful photos, sharp and very vivid colors. The excellent stabilization makes this lens very valid in the realization of the movies.

Cons: I did not find any faults but only some compromises.

Opinion: Excellent speed in focusing, the sharpness is excellent in the center and good at the edges and the photos it makes are really nice. The lens is very light beautiful and comfortable. For the rest I have not found obvious defects for this reason my overall judgment is more than good. It will not be a professional lens but not even kit because it is really good. I would be curious to compare it with the 16 55 to see the differences not going to enlarge the image to 300% but looking at it on a 100% monitor without thinking about it for an hour. I think many would not notice the difference.

Pros: construction, size and lightness; optical rendering

Cons: for now none

Opinion: I have this lens for a few months and replaced the fuji 23 mm without any regret. I am not interested in the in-depth technical characteristics and therefore I am content to evaluate positively the set of pros that I have indicated; it is an extremely useful perspective in many situations and currently the one I use the most. Street and landscape, of course are the fields where it excels. I do not think it is a travel lens if alone (more suitable the 16-80) but it is still very versatile. The ability to deactivate OIS with a key is very useful.

Pros: Cost from used, aperture, dimensions, construction

Cons: Poor reliability

Opinion: This lens would be perfect if considered only on the price, construction and aperture side of the diaphragm. The only problem, which I have encountered, is a poor reliability. In what sense? In the sense that it often does not generate sharp enough images, but randomly and without an apparent technical motivation. Will it be me who had the misfortune to take a flawed lens? Maybe, but on the net there are many discordant opinions. Too bad, because if it had a minimum of "extra linearity" it would be practically the perfect kit optics.

Pros: Image quality, compactness, lightness

Cons: Absence WR. The typical defects of zooms of this band

Opinion: It is a kit optics but it is evident how it raises well above the average, proving to be a dignified product and far from being a bottle bottom. It surprises in fact for the high sharpness in the center and for the uniformity, especially at f5.6 and f8. It loses something at the maximum focal length, as is to be expected, but nothing dramatic. At the minimum focal length there is also a certain distortion. The autofocus is precise and does not disappoint, even without reaching the vertices of optics such as the 23mm f2 or the 50mm f2. Stabilization is also effective. The construction is made of metal and of a good level, the lens is then very light and easy to handle (which is not at all little for the typical use to which it is intended). Among the flaws the absence of the Wr, an important feature that would have been appreciated to have. The ring of the diaphragms, moreover, has no indications. For what it offers and the cost at which it can be found, the value for money is definitely excellent. Is it therefore the lens of wonders? Obviously not and anyone who has been confronted with optics of a certain level knows it well. However, if purchased and used with the awareness that it is not what it can not be (an alternative to 16-55 or fixed) and without asking for more (three-dimensionality or creamy bokeh, just to name two), it can give a lot of satisfaction, especially for a disengaged use, from family holidays to picnics. In the eternal struggle with the 18-135mm it certainly wins for compactness and lightness, moreover providing all the main focal lengths for an all-rounder, from the medium wide angle to the medium telephoto. A perfect travel companion.

Pros: construction materials, sharpness, stabilization, bokeh, no visible distortion, ergonomics

Cons: nobody

Opinion: Bought in kit with the X-E1 back in 2012, it really gave me a lot of satisfaction. Excellent both sharpness and bokeh, taking into account that it is a zoom with variable aperture. Very effective stabilization and solid and ergonomic construction, certainly make it a great purchase. Surely I find it more suitable for an X-T series body, given the bulk. Recommended for those who can not afford the professional, expensive and much bulkier XF 16-55mm f2.8.

Pros: Stellar optics for the Aps-c format, at TA my specimen is sharp, I don't know how it is possible but it is, I will have been lucky. Sharpness at the level of FF optics, fast af suitable for video, silent, fast, fine workmanship and ridiculous cost.

Cons: Decay at the edges but it is normal if you use a TA , closing the problem solves great .

Opinion: This 18-55 and the 35 xf 1.4, with the 90 wr, are the three lenses that should not be missing in a Fuji kit, at least for my artistic sensitivity, are three unique lenses that even with a speedbooster we can get on FF optics, because the respective minimum distances, OIS, l Af, the quality of the materials are really excellent. I don't know what to write because I completed my Fuji kit. I have the Helios complete with speedbooster, the xt4, the second body xt100 , the 35 xf 1.4 , the 90 wr , the 56 1.2 (just because it is cool but I will resell it ), the legendary 18 -55 and finally an old Nikkor 135 adapted equivalent on apsc of a 210 mm FF format. All complete with filters. For a value for money unimaginable for those who come like me from FF Sony , Canon , Nikon . State-of-the-art quality.

Pros: Compact and of excellent quality to be in kit

Cons: 2 out of 3 stopped working suddenly

Opinion: Great kit, decent quality and really compact. Sore note I bought three because two of these after 5/6 months have stopped working. All purchased in the physical store and sent to service several times without ever solving the problem. ( very bad fuji assistance). Another sore point is very delicate even if it gives a semblant of discreet robustness

Pros: Construction, diaphragm ring, opening, addictive

Cons: Addictive

Opinion: Goal "kit", but only in the word, glass decidedly above average, fun to use, never leaves you (almost) disappointed even considering the openings of the diaphragm. Very usable lens in any situation, compact and discreet light, excellent travel companion, and does not disappoint even in streetphotography. The lack of tropicalization is absolutely negligible. Lampshed included in the package.

Pros: Good opening, excellent construction, physical controls, light screen included in the package

Cons: For now, no one

Opinion: I started using my Fuji xt-20 with a fixed lens 50mm Canon f1.4. Wonderful lens, even though I had to give up autofocus. After buying this little zoom I never went back. The bokeh effect is gorgeous, both in photos and videos, where autofocus is quiet, accurate and soft. I dare not imagine how well it works with Fuji models superior to my xt-20!

Pros: Compact, lightweight, above-average kit optics

Cons: not WR and with some compromise to accept!

Opinion: To be an "optical kit", it is undoubtedly an above-average quality goal. The construction quality is typical of fuji... far from plastic, solid, well assembled. The optical quality is good but of course we are not at the levels of a "prime band" lens and in terms of definition and detail this 18-55 inevitably loses the comparison compared to Fuji's 16-55, but on the other hand weight, size and impact on the wallet are much smaller. Negative note the absence of tropicalization. In addition, at maximum opening something is lost in terms of sharpness. For the price, versatility and transportability, slow in my opinion very good.

Pros: Cost, lightness, quality to be a kit zoom

Cons: Lack WR

Opinion: To be a slow kit has no comparison with the competition. In relation to its cost the quality is more than good. The construction is excellent for a kit lens. Nothing plastic, nice rings. The sharpness I find more than good, perhaps at full opening it drops a little. I feel good as everything to do although obviously shooting with the fixes is another thing. The stabilization is excellent. The judgment is more than positive I gave a nice 9.

Pros: Construction, lightness, cost

Cons: Optical quality, poor AF

Opinion: It is a kit lens, well built and bright compared to the competition, but still a kit lens. On the web you can hear all the colors, such as the one that at 18mm is better than the Xf 18 f2. Do not listen to useless tests of pixelpeepers, the image that returns the zoom and flat, that of the 18 has character and three-dimensionality. As a yield it is more like fujicron, although it does not have that sharpness and not even the speed and precision in the AF, precision that indeed leaves enough to be desired. Perhaps it should be added that it is stabilized, but I do not care. Sold without regret to finance 23 1.4.

Pros: Small, light, well built.

Cons: Optical quality, autofocus.

Opinion: Small and light lens, well built. Well-clutched rings and great quality to the touch compared to the optical kits of other brands. Usually sold for free or almost with Fujifilm bodies. Stabilizer ok. Sharpness does not excel, especially at maximum opening. Overall optical quality at a minimum of disastrous focus distance. I don't know how it's possible but my copy also has a lot of maximum opening color aberrations, and that's very strange because they should be corrected in the room. Autofocus by my pretty slow standards, but it may depend on the body (X-T20). The diaphragm ring doesn't have the numbers printed on it. Generally rather disappointed.

Pros: Compact, light, crisp

Cons: lack WR

Opinion: Goal kit brighter than the competition. If the xf55200 had been WR I think I would have avoided buying f2.8 zooms, I would have been happier (given the weight and compactness) and would have saved a lot of money. Unfortunately after a year of use the internal lenses were full of dust, visible in the f11 shots, so I sold it to fund WR lenses.

Pros: Excellent build quality, sharpness, lightness, compactness

Cons: Loss of sharpness at maximum opening, not ideal for those who make videos, powder that slips into the dials

Opinion: With regard to this lens I heard so many words of praise that I influenced the purchase of my current body machine (which had it in kit, in fact). If, however, it is true that it is a kit objective with an extra gear, you should not pull the bar of expectations too high: its performance is not compatible with those of professional goals, as you often hear around. This is because its much-vaunted sharpness is higher than a normal kit lens, but fixeds of a certain level or professional zooms are another story. Moreover, at maximum opening, expect a rather marked drop of the same. Compared to its competitors, it is a classic 18-55 stabilized but offers an extra edge in the aspect of the opening (practically an extra stop) and the construction quality (entirely metal). If we exclude the MFT world, we can also add to the list the extreme compactness and lightness. Think that it manages to be perfectly balanced on an X-T20, a camera that in terms of weight and size could play in the same category (or almost) as smartphones. This compactness is paid for with a pronounced excursion to the outside of the inner barrel when used on the longer focals, but the excellent build quality makes sure that the structure remains stable and the excursion soft and without any clogging... but not exactly silent. If you find yourself making videos with this goal, remember not to zoom too fast if you don't want to hear the (albeit pleasant) whip of the barrel moving forward in the audio. And while you've avoided extreme focus changes, there's a pretty marked perspective distortion in the transaction. Another small feature is the fact that the dials have a texture of the right density to make you fit grains of dust that don't end. In general it is a product not without defects but certainly of high quality and can probably give you the best photos that you can take out from um lens belonging to the same category. Very happy with my choice to have taken it in kit, but I probably would not have bought it again separately, since it is still offered at a price that, honestly, is a bit high.

Pros: Construction, sharpness in the middle, stabilizer, size, value for money in the used.

Cons: full-opening edges.

Opinion: I have been trying this for two months, I have read a lot in this forum and also in the various reviews, I give my opinion with my example: after several tests at home and in daily use, I can say that it is a good optics at both 18 and 55 in the middle part has a good sharpness that becomes very high to diaphragms 5.6; its weak point are the edges, at full opening is nothing that, however at 5.6 recovers a lot and becomes very good, losing slightly to more closed diaphragms, excellent stabilizer, very good construction even if it is not tropicalized. The MTF data of the various American and German forums give me reason, but one thing everyone says: you have to find the good specimen, because actually there are specimens that do not have this yield and therefore the various comments of very disappointed users can find a reason, I can say that I was lucky. I highly recommend this zoom for the value for money in the used that currently twists, it's worth them all.

Pros: Light, well built

Cons: A lot...

Opinion: Let's be precise, this lens is described as one of the best targets of Fuji's X system, compared even to the various F4 of the FF, if it plays right with the 24-105/120 old canikon that... They're embarrassing of them. The 18-55 is nothing more than a kit lens, overrated, soft, without microcontrast, spherical aberration that causes Blur's problems, uncertainties of AF, someone compares it to 16-55, clash in which he comes out with broken legs... Even at surrender, despite the stoppage of advantage, it also beats the 16-50 that has the same "difficult" contrast with closed shadows, construction inlow but solves really well and has no problems of Blur, with the money saved we come out much of the 35 1.4 that could really teach what a beautiful photo is!

Pros: Construction, stabilization, 18 mm diaphragm opening, size

Cons: Soft at full opening, diaphragm diaphragm diaphragm dial without opening values

Opinion: It is definitely an 18 55 that compared to those we are used to has something more, is built of metal, is excellently stabilized and allows decent freehand videos even on machines without stabilized sensor, it has very few defects at the optical level but it is soft at full opening and this goes to nullify the presence of the maximum opening at 2.8 to 18 mm. I shot a video where I do some tests to see how he behaves, you can find it here: https://youtu.be/2QdOPa8PLNI

Pros: General quality, quick AF, construction (as usual of Fujifilm house!), opening from 2.8 to 4, stabilization, weight and size.

Cons: Paralight and front cap do not last over time. Since it has a diaphragm ring, it would have been appropriate to have the opening values printed on the barrel.

Opinion: The classic ultra-cheap 18-55 kit to start shooting without having to faint? Absolutely not! We are not facing the usual 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 of Nikon or Canon house. And in fact, this lens does not cost 100 euros but about three times. This Fujinon allows an opening of f/2.8 to 18mm, then close by a single stop, f/4 therefore, at 55mm. It has optical stabilization (which can be deactivated with a special button placed on the barrel) that works well, even in the video field. I started shooting with this lens almost 2 years ago, and now, now, now, now to the transition to older brother Fujinon 16-55 f/2.8, I still feel not to sell this optics, to keep it as a "reserve" or, why not, to prefer to the heavy and bulky 16-55 in all those situations in which the latter should prove too uncomfortable and uncompact. There is no tropicalization, but for the price range I do not feel like I consider it a defect. That said, if you have a tropicalized machine and you intend to take advantage of this feature, look for something else, such as the 18-135 f/3.5-5.6 or the new 16-80 f/4, although the latter, in my opinion is too expensive for what it really offers and, at that price or just over is located on 16-55 f/2.8. In conclusion, this 18-55 is a widely recommended optics, especially to those who want quality in a small body well built and at a fair price!

Pros: Sharpness, Brightness, Zoom, Stabilization, Build Quality, Used Price

Cons: f4 at 55mm, Lamplight

Opinion: I had taken it used 4 years ago with an X-E1 to enter the world fujifilm mirrorless and immediately left me speechless even as a non-lover of zoom all-rounder. Forced to use at least one zoom all do for photos in disco bars and events, I had tried quite a bit between canon and tamron but the price quality of this lens is unparalleled. The only "sin" is the f4 at 55mm which for low light work is a bit dark and you would certainly prefer a f2.8 but sincerely with the iso yield of the fujifilm bodies and the stabilizer is compensated quietly. P.S. broke me because of me a year ago, bought back immediately !!!

Pros: Lightness, brightness, construction, AF, diaphragm diaphragm diaphragm diaphragm, stabilization, optical and chromatic rendering, good sharpness even at T.A.

Cons: To find the fur in the egg the lampshade that is annoying to assemble and disassemble, a little vignette (but not always) to T.A. (but just close by half a stop.

Opinion: Target of the X-T1 kit that took my son who very kindly makes me use it. It is a very good "all-rounder" lens and - I agree with other users! - this is not the usual "plastic" lens of the other kits. It's all metal (yet it's light), very bright, very handy and well stabilized. Excellent optical and chromatic rendering. Great microcontrast. To keep and use, above all.

Pros: Solidity and construction, autofocus, sharpness, value for money

Cons: Nothing particularly relevant

Opinion: Very solid and robust lens, with impeccable construction. It has absolutely nothing to do with the classic plastic kit lenses from the brightness, from 2.8 to the minimum focal to 4 to the maximum focal. The image quality is very high, the autofocus more than good (probably also of the X-T3). Too bad the lack of references on the diaphragm diaphragm dial, motivated by the maximum opening not fixed on the entire focal excursion. The images produced by this lens in my opinion are more than good, even the sharpness is great at all focal points (clearly loses something at full opening but nothing too relevant). In conclusion, given the numerous pros, the absence of major defects and given the price at which it is offered in kit, I consider this 18-55 a really good lens and I do not feel the need to make an upgrade at all.

Pros: Sharpness, stabilization, lightness, cost-effectiveness

Cons: Lens hood?

Opinion: I can't find a real flaw in this goal. Paid much less than 300 euros new has perhaps the only "defect" of not having constant opening at 2.8, but for that there is the older brother 16-55 that costs three times. Great build quality, I thought it was more plastic. It won't be the sharpest at 55 but for unprofessional use for me it's great. Mostly he's a very handyman to carry.

Pros: Optical quality-versatility-lightness-price/performance ratio

Cons: As soon as I find them, I communicate!

Opinion: To be a lens designed to be supplied in a kit, it really gives a lot: from construction to optical quality. Excellent sharpness at all focal lengths (actually at 55mm drops slightly at open diaphragms) and lightness to forget to have it hanging around your neck. Excellent the out of focus. I'm trying it in various situations of light and always responds well to such a point that I'm considering whether it is worth to buy other fixed optics. Optical handyman to possess... Absolutely. Point!

sent on May 22, 2019

Pros: -Fast autofocus-nice to use-brighter than the typical zoom from kit-so much quality, proportionate to the price-solid and robust, at least appearance-all metal and glass, as far as I am given to see

Cons: -Noise of slight but sensible focusing-continuous noise of the stabilizer, not eliminable-depending on the camera body, it weighs almost like the camera-you have to hold it with your left hand, if the camera body does not have a good grip-the market offers More and more economic objectives, small, light, versatile and suitable for video. This is not the case-minimal focus distance disappointing. For comparison, the Nikon AF-P DX 18-55 offers a magnification ratio of 0, 38x while this only 0, 15x.

Opinion: Just touch it to realize that you have in your hands a special object, belonging a bit ' to another era in which the objectives were all like this: cold and heavy masterpieces of glass and metal. But it is mounted that is a pleasure on the modern Fuji mirrorless, also from the taste rounded. Using it is a pleasure, and I would never stop shooting. The images seem to me very sharp, the autofocus rather fast, the shots of the diaphragms emit reassuring sounds that know of solidity and precision. Having from 2/3 to a full stop of maximum opening plus is a convenience that you don't expect in a zoom kit. Unfortunately it is not great for videos, in the sense that the noises emitted are all faithfully understood by the microphones embedded in the camera: Focus, change of aperture of the diaphragm, even the zoom, also complicating the friction of the fingers. This adds up to a constant background noise, probably due to stabilization, which cannot be eliminated. Just close the ear with the machine turned on and immediately becomes apparent. Another flaw is the ease with which you can change aperture inadvertently, and the separate selector A-M for the diaphragms (due to I guess at the minimum non-constant aperture). The minimum distance of focus is disappointing, I create problems especially taking up the children who can get close attracted by the camera to be completely... Fuzzy. Finally, it is disproportionate by weight and size compared to small cameras, like the X-T30, which have practically no grip.

Pros: Bright and stabilized

Cons: Lens hood

Opinion: Excellent both as a construction and as a yield and price. I'd buy it twice. Not the usual Plasticotto supplied in kit. Bright. Definitely very manageable and in my opinion great for the street. I didn't expect that much surrender. I don't regret at all the Tamron 2.8 on Nikon D750. Definitely satisfied with the purchase. Only flaw... The lens hood... They could do better.

Pros: Brightness-Construction-stabilization

Cons: Distortion at 18mm-obnoxious lens hood

Opinion: Sincerely reading rave reviews compared to the zoom kit, I expected that better: I just happened to use it often at 18mm and the distortion is noticeable, you want the correction in the car... and therefore the same defect of all the kit zooms. It remains beautiful and well built with stabilizer for me essential and brighter than the norm. The sharpness seems excellent, but, also put some problems of Fuji in the landscapes, I'm not easy to evaluate it for distant objects and all over the frame, I trust who says it is good.

Pros: Notide, quality, f 2.8 at 18mm

Cons: Lens hood Attachment, tropicalization

Opinion: I replaced with this lens that base (16-50) and I have to say that the difference in quality between the two really seemed to me remarkable... in the hand is sturdier, heavier (not too much), but at the same time from an excellent feel to the touch, the quality of the files it churns out is D Ecisamente better than the little brother (I also had the 27 F 2.8 but did not give me a positive feedback), moreover that 2.8 to 18mm allows you to shoot even in low light conditions. A grain the stabilization that seems to do well its duty, a flaw the lack of tropicalization.

Pros: Sturdy, well-built, bright, stabilization, sharp to the edge

Cons: honestly nothing particular

Opinion: I join the chorus. Excellent kit lens. Must consider given the price. Worth every penny of what it costs. Immediately gives a feeling of strength and professionalism being a consistent and all-metal. Good also the slip and stretch. Excellent on VR and overall sharpness and quality of detail is guaranteed a little around the frame and even at the edges (especially by 27 ... 35 mm onwards), something not obvious even to many targets considered PRO. To keep with you at all. For me, rating: 9

Pros: remarkable performance at all openings, robust and completely metal, bright enough, nothing to do with the plasticoni kit of the other brands

Cons: no tropicalization, there is a slight vignetting and distortion at 18mm, aperture ring a bit 'too sensitive for my taste

Opinion: There is little to say, simply the best all-rounder kit on the market, really good price / performance ratio. Certainly does not reach the three-dimensionality of the fixed, but behaves very well at all focal lengths, the yield at the center of the file is excellent, while the top at the edges is reached from f4 to f9. However, it maintains a high sharpness standard throughout the image, also promoted autofocus and stabilization, less the aperture ring that I found too sensitive for my taste (I would have preferred it harder as on the new fixed f2) .rnReport a little 'distortion and vignetting to 18mm especially at TA, for this advice to close the diaphragm to this focal (defects still resolvable in post production for the most demanding) .rnA great travel companion that certainly there disappoint, best lens kit I've ever tried, in fact for the moment I decided to keep it and not sell it

Opinion: Taken with the XT2 I must say that in kit is a lens to be taken on the fly. Of course it is not a fixed 2.8 but otherwise costs much less if taken in kits. At 5 - 5.6 it goes very well. The manual focus mechanism is to be taken by hand and certainly not up to the olimpus objectives (see 12/40) but nothing prohibitive.

Pros: Great construction, not a plastic lens kit, sharpness and semi-pro performance.

Cons: The hood is to be trampled and thrown away, a real punch, 18 mm deformations, vignetting pronounced in TA

Opinion: Taken in kit with the xe-2, I find it a great companion to do everything, for my tastes short short, the 55 me enough to carry behind, sharpness and metal construction make this look fit In a semi-pro without any shadow, and the price is still not plastic. The possibility of using the diaphragm ring is a surplus not long ago and it helps a lot, for how the ML Fuji bodies are conceived. I really like the very pronounced barrel deformation from 18 to 22 mm, really ugly and therefore avoid group shots with people on the edges, what can be corrected on the room or with external programs but with lots of limits ... just for this reason I can give a rating of 8.7-9.rnOther details: Very fast Bokeh AF nice for a zoom, great tactile perception, very good flare resistance.rnWe recommend the purchase.

Pros: Construction, quality, clarity, price, aperture, AF.

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: Do not be fooled by the fact that the matching kit ML some of Fujifilm. The 18-55mm is not a plasticotto similar to those that sell other brands blasonati.rnL'obiettivo may be, indeed, it is similar to the Nikon 17-55mm 2.8 with many other benefits. The building is fabulous and you can tell as soon as we are working. The ferrules are very fluid and it is a pleasure to use. The quality is amazing; shooting very often to 18mm and in post production I do a lot of crop stratospheric sharper results. At the same focal length, I also tried the fixed 18mm f2 but not with the same results in sharpness and noise. In fact, the 18-55 has optimum efficiency even with high iso and crop PP. The price is excellent although I took it as a kit with the (mistaken) idea of ??selling it immediately to get fixed. Finally, after few tests, I realized I had to stay with me, accompanied by various fixed. Also the opening of the diaphragm is good considering that it is a zoom. silent AF difference of many fixed. I use it especially in my long journeys accompanied by the legendary 35 f1.4 (see my review). Highly recommended also used (about 320 euro). Cons: only a little weight.

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: Do not point out flaws related to this lens because to be a lens kit really do not ha.Forse 18-55 not the only consumer in circulation. It is indeed a high-quality lens, compact and robust that is worth much more than what costa.rnCorpo metal, smooth rings and comfortable. Pros: value for money in used, sharpness, metal construction

Cons: Nobody.

Opinion: Taken together with the x-t1. To be a kit lens for me is the highest compared to other brands, Fuji has a very high optical quality park and the rest has never launched optical plasticky kit low budget, this lens is one example. Crisp, well solid, excellent metal construction, elegant, is not exactly tiny but not bulky to be a zoom for mirrorless, the AF seems to me precisely as the stabilizer. I would say that for what it costs in used species (300 € but also something less) is a marvel. I use it to make us a bit 'of everything, street, portraits, landscapes. Minimal distortion at 18, but I think it's pretty normal. There would be better (the 16-55 f / 2.8) but with a double expense. So in my opinion there is nothing to complain about, in fact, since the first shots amazes. I recommend it as the best compromise between brightness, price and quality.

Pros: Good build quality (not the usual 18-55), bright enough, good sharpness, used on the 250-300 euro.

Cons: Not weather sealed !!! 2.8 is not fixed !!! For what need a lot more money, space and weight.

Opinion: At first I had not even considered as a "kit lens", then I saw that even the professionals use it, I read great reviews here on Juza and I have borrowed one ... What about ... Ranger very versatile focal sharpness at close traits to fixed, discrete light considering the cost. Good construction. Had been weather sealed would be a 10.

Pros: refined and rugged construction. Very versatile and bright, practical, lightweight and easy to handle. Sharpness by reference, color balance really effective and very impeccabile.rnStabilizzatore rapido.rnSilenzioso autofocus ...

Cons: For me, no. Are references aperture ring on, but it is not so bad considering that you read the values ??directly in the crosshairs.

Opinion: Perspective unjustifiably snubbed instead worth its weight in gold, especially at 400 Euros. Many will rid selling optics included in the 300 euro kit ... Take it! RnNitido, precise and also fast, so do all of the highest qualità.rnCorregge distortions "in the room" and is always crystal clear even at full aperture throughout the fotogramma.rnCome someone wrote: "it is only by the transition to the Fuji system" .rnPerfetto of X-pro1.

Pros: construction, sharpness, definition.

Cons: nn

Opinion: great lens of the highest craftsmanship, truly a gem. I had 27 mm but not I was there, I took the 18-55 and, on my way to photograph, I can say that is a great goal. The definition at full aperture is good. From the first shots I noticed the great quality of this goal. I can just place some pictures.

Pros: Price, sharpness, construction.

Cons: capricious AF.

Opinion: I paid in kit with xt-10 350 Euro. (650 + 400-50 cash back fuji) rnPer the price that the picture quality is sbalorditiva.rnLa sharpness is impressive at every opening. Shooting with f> 4 images are literally perfect from one corner of the frame.rnE 'built very well to be a 18-55, is all metal, the selectors to have a pleasant optics based feedback, zoom and the convenient ring aperture as well. The first impression is that you had abbinasse perfectly to my XT-10, both aesthetically and functionally. The stabilization is very good and you shoot quietly under 1/10 of a second. rnHo found very pleasant blurred 55mm.rnDopo to four months of use I have found almost exclusively of small imperfections that, given the cost of the product in question, does not weigh on my most obvious finale.rnLa judgment is the focus that sometimes It makes the tantrums (software problem). I also believe that the hood and above the tappor lens are not designed properly. Finally, the minimum focusing distance seemed a bit 'too much, especially comparing it with that of rivals (which I believe is in any case much lower) rn

Pros: Light, bright, sharp, stabilizer effective, well built, economical (if purchased in kit)

Cons: It is no fixed!

Opinion: I always loved the fixed focal, but also I have succumbed to the convenience of this zoom.rnQuesto 18-55 is a lens of fuji system kit, but it is in no way comparable to the other plasticotti case.rnL'obiettivo in question is entirely in metal , bright (f / 2.8-4), and if you look at the price, is optically ineccepibile.rnIo recommend it to everyone, also it is also quite compact and light, so it does not interfere with the Fuji system!

Pros: Crisp, compact, sturdy

Cons: not weather sealed

Opinion: I am also a happy owner of his older brother (Fujifilm XF 16-55 f2.8 WR R LM) and I am fine with it, but with this I 18-55 in more compact, light and not so much sacrificed stabilizer. I say this because freehand I noticed a clear difference in picture especially in low light, the camera shake is 16-55 lurking. Everything vanishes, however, if we compare the two goals on tripod always with poor light, the course 16-55 in this case becomes more powerful. Same thing happens with a good light. Indeed stabilizer works well enough and freehand avoid camera shake. Compactness is another thing that I care and of course the older brother is anything but that compact with this 18-55 instead carry the X-t1 always with me and goes all in a normal bag (no photo!). Not to be compared to other entry level objectives of other manufacturers, this beats them all in terms of both image quality even at the level of construction. Too bad non is weather sealed! Hood outrageous as usual Fuji (at least in recent years). Again I'm going to buy a more compact metal lens hood to screw the lens. Front cap that is lost very easily. Overall I have to say that I am very pleased with this other gem Fuji!

Pros: Construction, image quality, bright aperture (f.2.8 / 4.0)

Cons: Hood

Opinion: Well, coming from Canon / Nikon / Pentax and think it is the classic 18-55 kits? Forget it. Aperture f2.8 / 4, constructed in metal, solid, smooth, fluid and picture quality amazing! The only negative is the lens hood that fits when you and 2 strains, comes away with a puff and the motor focus (but only because I was used all'USM home Canon), but is not clear about the noise, but for the lower speed. But for the photos that I do is fine così.rnLa stabilization seems to me less than the Canon counterpart, but only slightly, we will stop on the 2 and a half (but still less than 4 declaring the house) .rnUsato is 250 €, buy on the fly if you do not avete.rnSe not require a diaphragm so bright (I after the 2.8 constant Canon I could not help it) turns on brother 16-50 f3.5 / 5.6, which despite being dark and plasticky, like quality image is very close!

Pros: Sharp- ness than other kit lenses from edge to edge to any focal aperture, size, weight, brightness, metal

Cons: I can not stand the hood Plastic Optical .. this does not fit the first time ever and often mounts evil. Maybe it is a problem limited to my model.

Opinion: A great all make sure you have supplied for its build quality and optics. Buying it along with the body is well balanced and it becomes the perfect vehicle to shoot at everything and more. If you do not have special needs do not regret even the excellent fixed Fuji. Only downside (for some) is that it is not weather sealed, but honestly I prefer it to the big brother bigger and heavier 16-50 f2.8. The hood is "curse" every time they go mounted, but it is nonsense on which you can pass on.

Cons: I've encountered so far considering we're talking about a view from kit

Opinion: I recently purchased a xt-1 with this light kit. For now we are quite satisfied. The autofocus is fast colors are quite faithful to the original. Pros: Image resolution, compact, light, fluidity of yesteryear

Cons: For now nothing special ..

Opinion: The other day when I said I was gone from full frame to this wonderful system Fuji, I raised a large crawl space. Well as I said I can confirm this, and starting from this wonderful handyman can tell you that is just magical, the compactness and the fluidity of the zoom ring and focus leave you that way that you once had with Zeiss optics, Leiz and other brands So famous for its compactness. As a resolution I have to say that after some testing has nothing to envy of equal optical focal Nikon or Canon owned by me, and in some cases even higher, especially in the corners. rnDevo try again 14mm, 27, 60 macro and 55-200, with XE2 and XT1, but if the buondì starts in the morning ......

Pros: Clear, incisive, quite small.

Cons: The hood and cap you risk losing them.

Opinion: Using this lens for about two months taken in kit with XT1 and was very impressed by the ability to return photos in my opinion exceptional. The amazing thing is that already in TA 2.8, if shots to 18mm or so, it gives you the results nothing short of excellent. I see that others have given top grades and I do not do nothing but confirm. What I do not understand is why often I see for sale in the market as from 18 to 55 in APS-C is a good all-rounder. If I compare with the Canon 24-70 f / 4 that I had with the 6D, I find this 18-55 (about 28-83 on FF) simply migliore.rnQuesta is a picture taken with this lens is to be noted that a photo native in jpg: http://www.juzaphoto.com/galleria.php?t=1115489&l=it
