Pros: lightweight, economical, robust, af very fast and precise, sharp already at full aperture, excellent stabilizer, excellent colors and blurred

Cons: nobody

Opinion: one of the best optics I've tried and at a really good price. I believe that at that price there is nothing better. and probably not even at twice the price you will not find anything like it significantly better. a few years ago you bought new for less than 200 euros. if you consider switching to the ff in the future then consider the new 70-300is but it costs much more.

Pros: range, quietness, sharpness, lightness, dimensions, price, stabilizer

Cons: for the price none.

Opinion: excellent economic zoom, stabilized, very light and compact, precise and completely silent af. Well sharp up to 200mm, over shows a bit the side. Defects? the construction is plastic, the af is not very fast (stm) and above all it does not have a limiter to make it work only at certain focal lengths, as diaphragms you soon get to f / 5.6 ... but they are all obvious implications of the medal for such a price. For me they are not even considered as such. Recommended optics without reservations.

Pros: Price, focal excursion, stabilizer, autofocus

Cons: lampshed to buy aside, made good but not excellent, but given the price I do not consider it a defect.

Opinion: A fun cheap handyman telefare. As far as it is costing, you can do a little bit of everything if you don't have exaggerated pretensions. Obviously it has its limits: it is not very bright (but the stabilizer is excellent and helps to put a piece of sticker on it) vignette a little open, the sharpness of the image is acceptable but not at the height of higher level optics. Given the remarkable focal excursion it is neither heavy nor bulky. If you want superior results in the specific fields of application of course you have to equip yourself with more specialized and expensive optics but as a "battle" telefare, to keep in the bag is great. Unfortunately, the lampshed has to be bought apart. As usual it is not clear why you then have to spend more money on a trivial (but indispensable) plastic cone.

Pros: Price, focal length and lightness.

Cons: Excellent performance only in the amateur field.

Opinion: For the price it's sold at, both used and new, and the type of customer it's designed for, it's a fantastic goal. He does everything that is required by an amateur without excelling in anything. Unfortunately, as soon as you want to raise the bar a little with the technical quality of your photos you have to turn to something else, especially if you want to photograph wild animals. Despite everything I think it's a great lens to start photographing at long focal points.

Pros: Lightness, made at the focal points "short", stabilization.

Cons: Economic construction. Bokeh.

Opinion: The lens I most regret about the Canon APS-C kit I sold. Very light, small in size, with a negligible yield. He loses a little at the longer focal points. Stabilisation is very effective. Easy to get with these very blurry background focals, although the bokeh is a little confusing and not always very pleasant. Stabilisation is very effective. I also had the old 55 250 non STM and this version is definitely superior. The biggest flaw is the economic construction from which a certain fragility results. A specimen fell on me and the diaphragm slats broke. Given the cost of the repair, the price of the new and my satisfaction in using it I immediately bought a new specimen!

Pros: AF, IS, price, weight, footprint

Cons: At this price no one

Opinion: Good quality tele-target for APS-C rooms. The lens is quite sharp already at full opening, it loses only a little detail going beyond 200mm, but nothing significant (especially considering the price). I use it mainly outdoors, so the fact that it's f/4-5.6 doesn't interest me, but for someone using it in low light it could be a defect that forces you to increase ISO by two stops. In any case, considering the price at which it is found you can not expect more: 8/10 vote.

Pros: value for money, lightness

Cons: disre lit

Opinion: Tele lens for aps-c, which helps to go beyond the 55mm of the lens in kit: it is the natural continuation of the 18-55 mm. In relation to its price, the quality is more than satisfactory for those who approach photography; It is also a lightweight lens (it can therefore be transported easily) and is stabilized. It's definitely not very bright and doesn't belong to Canon's L series, but I consider it a more than discreet goal. The lampshade is bought separately and costs...

Pros: Lens quality, fast and quiet stabilizer, lightning AF, unbeatable price, ring smoothness, MAF distance.

Cons: Slight loss of quality towards 250mm.

Opinion: This EF-S 55-250 STM is a fully successful goal. It must not have been easy for Canon to bring together all the qualities that the amateur photographer desires from a lens, namely compactness, lightness, speed and silence of focus (really remarkable), effective stabilizer, definition and precision optics at a very low price. Sure, zooming out, the plastic (of excellent quality, though) is the master, but nothing affects the quality of the shot and the ease of keeping the subject hooked. So-called defects, such as non-exceptional brightness or lack of lampshade are only apparent limitations, since at the time of purchase they are already known and I think it is impossible to do better in this category. If you don't use your APS-C for work and don't want to invest big numbers in more professional lenses, with internal zoom and less "plastic" appearance (but not necessarily more robust), this EF-S 55-250 STM is your telephoto lens. Vote 9.

Pros: Optical Quality - Price Quality Ratio - Acceptable Brightness

Cons: Really nothing related to the price

Opinion: All in all interesting, a third of a stop brighter than the Sony counterpart. Really absurd price, unthinkable not to buy it. The focal excursion is absurd, you get to 400mm equiv. with not even 150 euros. Too bad the lampshade is not included. Optically it is remarkable and NOT VA CONCENT, with the previous version NOT STM, here we are on another level. (Good quality at TA, excellent closing a stop, a slight drop only to 250). Noteworthy is the really impressive stabilization. Featherweight. Irrelevant the plastic bayonet, never broken one in 15 years of photography.

Pros: Price, lightness, portability, good excursion.

Cons: It is particularly noticeable the plasticity of the materials, the brightness is not the strong.

Opinion: Bought at the last second for a mountain holiday, my kit was lacking in a tele lens and this was a great purchase to cover long focal lengths. It loses a lot of brightness if we do not have sunny days, but given its price (just over €150 on eglobal) I would say that we can not expect that much. All in all quality/price I am very satisfied and I recommend this lens on APS-C entry level as my 600d, instead I recommend the Canon 18-200mm on APS-C like my 80d.

Pros: Sharpness, autofocus, robustness, focus and zoom bezel, stabilizer, silent

Cons: Little Bright

Opinion: I try this lens on a Canon 600d. For the current price, excellent lens! Maybe at 250mm is not the maximum sharpness, but up to 200mm is fantastic! Then on APS-C is an 88-400mm! Perfect for sports photos, portraits and photos at long distance subjects. Only flaw is the diaphragm, very closed F4 to 55mm to end at F 5.6 to 250mm

Pros: Sharpness, focal range, silent autofocus, price, stabilizer

Cons: For the price no one

Opinion: For the current price I don't think there is any better in the market. I found it very sharp up to 200 mm or so, at 250 it is still sufficiently sharp in the center at full aperture. Ideal to start and understand if these focal lengths are for you. The plastic construction makes it very light and transportable, I use it with adaptor on an M50 and I have no problem with weight or imbalance contrary to what you might think. The autofocus works best on the M50 compared to the 1200d I had, I think for the new AF technology, although in low light when it does not find the correct focus continues to focalize back and forth continuously (rarely happens). I used it in landscaping and sometimes even for sports in good light conditions and I always found it good. Vignette a bit but it's all correctable in a second. Recommended

Pros: Lightweight, very handy focal length range, AC contained such extremely quiet, good workmanship

Cons: F slow and uncertain, sometimes give up altogether, cartoon that is a pleasure, sharpness

Opinion: Not suitable for sports photos, took the x test and curiosity I did some shooting in an oasis on the Dese Sile, the sharpness is sufficient, very light. Hopefully, with still shots in daylight. However, if you try to photograph fast moving subjects, even simple gulls, begins to focus back and forth (and talk about center point with AI servo) and basically when is the fire is too late and managed to shoot only the bottom of the subject now in escape ... for use I wanted make doesn't fit much. I put my hand to my old Canon 18 200, which I used more so because of the weight when travelling but is stronger in af, albeit with all other lens limits, AC included. Too bad because the rest feeling it was all there, even at that price, XO too. I'd give it a 7.5, if I think of various tamron and sigma of the same category.

Pros: Focal range, decent sharpness, value

Cons: AF a little slow, non-illuminated

Opinion: I think that there is any better in this figure. A 55-250 that covers a range of focal lengths discreet while maintaining a decent sharpness. Resold after 2 years because of the need of a great decidedly brighter. Recommended to anyone looking for a great value ... I could go back I would definitely buy another one as the first zoom.

Pros: Lightweight, good yield, average Canon.

Cons: Loss at the edges at the max opening.

Opinion: I did some tests with other lenses Canon Zoom (10-300) and two other brands that for obvious reasons I do not mention, but as always canonist and therefore accustomed to the Canon's theatrical rendering, I must say that fits in my taste, because I bought it already having a 100-300 and the difference is? because in a sell-out the price with the camera body and lens kit (18-55) the price was great (only the value of the total was lower than this goal. But we return to this goal, the tests I have done both in exteriors that flash and no inside convinced me that as always I have argued that the colors Canon (for me) are the best, always remaining in the category of mid-range.

Pros: Slim practical, stabilizer, great value for money, fast af stm or silent, crisp, vibrant in color rendering. Ideal as the first canvas!

Cons: Plastic attachment, plasticous in general, not bright.

Opinion: Purchased on Amazon at an excellent price (about 160 euros) new and with warranty. Right away I had no idea how to use it then I tried to shoot some close-up (outdoor daytime environment) and the output was exceptional: sharp, sharp photo sharp. A nice piece! Great boche. I also like for landscape photos maybe with af on a side detail. Fast and accurate. Great excursion but with a little vignetting. I love it for street photos. It defies the brightness: with low light you can not use it with low ISO, but it is the necessary compromise. Highly recommended to those who, like me, had never tried a canvas.

Pros: Light weight, stabilization.

Cons: Sharpness poor / very poor, slow af, is not a true f / 5.6 or 250.

Opinion: I took this canvas when I still believed to remain on aps-c as a light intermediate between normal and 150-600, replacing the Tamron 70-300 VC. Profound errore.rnNon've never had a poorer goal. Not even worth the 110 euro that I paid (used). Fortunately resold without perderci.rnI advantages are that it is lightweight, compact and stabilized, the f is silenzioso.rnI defects instead are tremendous. First, the sharpness is very bad. There is a focal ratio that is decent, at any focal length. On focal where they cross, my 18-135 stm is incredibly migliore.rnL'autofocus is very slow, so not recommended for use where normally use a tele (sports, wildlife, birds, etc.) then .rnE is dark, tremendously dark. Cartoon crazy on APSC, in comparison to the 70-300 APSC not vignettava almost nothing. Also doing the math is not a true 250 f / 5.6. The front lens, measuring 40 mm in diameter. A 250 f / 5.6 would require a front lens of 44.7 mm. Assuming, however, is a 250 lufocal nghezza means that the true brightness ratio is 6.3 (not counting the absorption of the lenses) .rnPersonalmente strongly advise against this ciofeche.

Pros: Lightness, practicality, sufficient sharpness, color. AF silent, fast and accurate, good stabilization, low price in relation to performance

Cons: It loses a little at maximum focal and vignette, but I think it all lenses in this range and not ... the lack of lens hood does not include it among the other hand, now that the stones with Canon also know it works well, except for L series, and saw the price ...

Opinion: Purchased about a year and a half ago for use on Canon 100D, he was surprised by the excellent performance, even better on 70d (but only for better handling at high ISO), so as to use it, for my photographic genre, almost like as slow-rounder, and 'light, crisp and bright on the right, the' AF is fast and does not miss a beat. It is appreciated especially for the chromatic yield, really remarkable on a goal in this price range and this focal length with these openings. Very soft to the maximum focal, plastic attachment, but for what it costs I do not think you can expect more. One of the most successful Canon objectives of STM series for quality / price / performance. Straconsigliato, perhaps with a Hoya Pro1 Digital Protector filter, which does not have any impact on sharpness, color and flare.

Pros: quality / price ratio, lightness, zoom range.

Cons: not outstanding optical performance, vignetting at the edges to TA

Opinion: Purchased in kit disappointed me right away for the poor optical performance in terms of contrast and sharpness; I would have expected something more, honestly. Lacking even the hood sold separately. Only the AF and the stabilizer found them rise to the occasion. I sold it almost immediately to take the 70-300 USM.

Pros: AF, weight and size, stabilizer, Price / Price

Cons: Plastic Attack, hood sold separately

Opinion: I purchased this goal in 2015 for a holiday in Mexico. Originally I was going to buy the Tamron 70-300, which costs almost twice as much, but reading the reviews and driven by product price Canon I decided to buy it. The lens does not excels from the constructive point of view, since it is completely made of plastic, including the bayonet fitting. However this defect if we are compensated by the lightness of the materials which happens to be a pro if you have to walk several hours with the camera around his neck. The AF works very well as well as the image stabilizer. I must say that I brought home a number of interesting shots. The only drawback is that the lens hood sold separately compared to the optics price turns out to be absolutely costosetto.rnConsiglio this light to those who want a lightweight tele lens and want to learn new photographic genres such as the portrait and nature photography.

Pros: quality / price ratio, AF, weight and size, stabilizer

Cons: Plastic Attack, lens hood is not included in the package

Opinion: I bought this lens as a joke, pushed higher by the very low price (and cashback from Canon) that from my real need. Today I am particularly glad I bought it. The lens performs very well in all situations, and has focal hike would call generous; its value is definitely higher than its price. The stabilizer works wonders and the AF is excellent, in line with the latest Canon series STM objectives. Feather weight and compact dimensions complete the picture absolutely positivo.rnConsidero this lens by making a purchase regardless of the real needs, but at the right time we will be happy to have in your bag and give us beautiful shots.

Pros: price / performance, sharpness, good stabilizer, fast and accurate AF, pleasant to the touch plastic, lightweight

Cons: Hood sold separately (as almost always canon), plastic bayonet attack, vignetting at full aperture, maybe a little soft at 250mm

Opinion: It is now a year that the use of APSC sensor, and I really enjoyed it, for what it costs does its job very well, gives her best sharpness between F5.6 and F8. Stabilizer great and fast and accurate AF. I would sell just because decided to migrate to FF, otherwise I would keep as a lens in life seen a great focal range for the photos I do. recommended !

Pros: Lightness, focal range, cheap, good stabilizer, excellent focus.

Cons: Bayonet plastic which makes it a bit tricky.

Opinion: According to me a good lens for those approaching for the first time the use of a zoom enough pushed. A lightweight lens which is good, you can always carry around in your travels. The yield it seems pretty good. Great stabilizer for people like me do not have a steady hand enough. In some cases a little vignette, but the problem can be solved peacefully in PP. Recommended.

Pros: Lightness, clarity at all focal lengths and at all apertures, stabilizer.

Cons: For what it costs not know, apart from the hood can be purchased separately and the bayonet polycarbonate rather than metal.

Opinion: There is so much to write about this, but it only takes a few words to sum up his qualities, one above all the excellent quality / price ratio. There is nothing better around € 150/180, even the Tamron 70-300 VC I've had for a few days and immediately returned because the indecent optical quality and which still costs twice. The 55-250 IS STM looks like a toy in his hand, but when you use it remains literally amazed by the quality of the images that returns. Sharp and contrasted to any focal length and aperture, a little vignette to TA, but is corrected in post with a click, if you do not like. Among the many paintings that I've got to try, it would replace only with bianchini home Canon, the fastest in maf long focal species, where 55-250 is struggling a little bit. Excellent in the field of video with automatic maf continues where you do not register the slightest hum of the engine STM.rnPer what it costs and what it offers, I can only define this excellent goal.

Pros: "Range" focal, economic, focus Stm very fast, very good stabilizer

Cons: Bayonet plastic, af low light, around 250 lost a bit of sharpness, no hood

Opinion: It's my first telephoto, sooo happy with the purchase, it is a good canvas to start. The value for money is great, stabilized and .stm at a price accessible to all. The focus is very fast but with little light, the af crazy, but not that much. Missing the hood of course, but you can buy separately. Pros: weight, dimensions, accurate focusing fast and silent, stabilizer, price.

Cons: sharpness to 250mm

Opinion: Excellent lens, perfect focus and STM good stabiizzazione the image. Weight and size make this lens a great companion in travel, in my case, mounted on a 100D it seems to carry a bridge. The only flaw nitidizza falls towards the maximum focal length. Perfect focal range of aps-c that it is also useful for portraits.

Pros: Lightweight, fast focusing and silent excellent value for money.

Cons: drop in sharpness its greatest extension. Invoice plasticky rn

Opinion: Great lens in the economy segment is not full frame. The bill "plasticky" may be misleading when you pick in your hands. As soon as you mount it on the machine he changes his mind immediately. Fast focusing and fast even in low light. defects and disorders almost non-existent, for the price and the type of lens we're talking about I would say that has few rivals. Some distortion and loss of sharpness at maximum focal length but is a little sin that can be forgiven. Advised !

Pros: lightness, speed AF, quality / price ratio

Cons: decrease sharpness maximum extension, plasticky materials

Opinion: I had this lens for several time and the thing that has always struck me is its light weight: it can carry around everywhere! When hiking in the mountains you feel the difference I assure you. The sharpness is acceptable and the quality / price is right. The materials seem a bit plasticky but for a price like that you can not expect who knows what. Used on APS-C is very comfortable. At full loses some sharpness but nothing special, in fact, just slightly close the aperture and you get pictures of all respect. You can look in my gallery some photos taken with this lens!

Pros: Size, quality / price ratio, sharpness, speed and quietness of AF

Cons: A slight drop in sharpness to the maximum extent at the beginning looks like a toy with all that plastic but with the right care, which reserves the right outfit has nothing to envy his brother more (always in relation to the price)

Opinion: Bought new € 185 on Amazon, I still have to learn how to 'tame' but for the moment given my "inespertezza" he is still giving satisfactory photo. Slight drop in sharpness near the maximum focal. Sharp already aa wide open instead of all the other focal. Maybe a little 'dark but for the use that I do not see a problem.

Pros: Light, fast and quiet AF motor, cheap, good sharpness

Cons: A bit 'of aberration and decrease sharpness only when fully extended, but more than acceptable

Opinion: Designed specifically for APS-C, has a maximum focal length equivalent to 400mm on full frame (hence fairly extensive) .rnL'ho taken to replace the previous model 55-250 IS II (already in relation to the price was not bad and that gave me a lot of satisfaction), application version with its different technology is a big step forward: the engine receives a dowry STM that also proves this point for quiet, smooth and fast; the difference is very evident above all in "AI SERVO". It has the internal focus, which then allows you to mount a polarizer without having to adjust each shot, also in autofocus mode, you can manually intervene to "adjust the aim" .rnLo stabilizer works very well, even at full every flicker in Freehand is visibly compensated, looking through the viewfinder it is much more noticeable than the previous model. Automatically detects both horizontal and vertical panning, without shutting automatically ifnce resort all'intervendo manuale.rnLa sharpness is very good, we are not at the levels of other prime lenses I own (eg. the 60mm macro) but costs half ... rnIl comparison with the previous model I did taking the same subjects, with the same parameters and as far as possible in the same conditions of illumination: progressively increasing the extension is known which appears a little 'of chromatic aberration and a legggero decrease of sharpness only in the vicinity of 250mm (visible, however, only with larger image 1: 1), while the former was already beginning to 200. The remains blurred gradevole.rnAnche this has an element UD and super spectra coating. I have not encountered any vignetting, probably because I loaded the camera profile and work with the lens peripheral illumination correction always active. The colors seem more loyal than the SI II (which in certain situations desaturava forcing them to open photoshop) .rnIl weight remains very low (theexternal structure and the bayonet are not metal) as well as the size, as they gain accuracy is the adjusting nut of the extension that the plug for the camera, both less "soft" the model it replaces.

Pros: quality / price ratio, trasportabilià, silent AF and fast enough, the fluid zoom ring, MF Full-Time, stabilizer, sharpness at all apertures, close-up.

Cons: Vignetting, no hood, AF sometimes uncertain, tends to underexpose.

Opinion: I recently purchased this objective. I must say that the more you "zomma" more vignetting is evident, the problem completely solved using DPP. In normal lighting situations I happened that the MF does not agganciasse and the length of the barrel that comes out makes you want to have undergone a lens hood, this is not provided! RnFacendo a simple test I found in f6.3 / F7.1 / f. 8 the apertures that return a sharper picture with different depth of field course. All other openings are still very good and the difference with these three is minimal and up to f13 I think you can shoot in tranquillità.rnAF fairly fast, still faster than my IS II, and absolutely silent motor. Cons: I would not give negative judgments, apart from the lens hood sold separately (a bit expensive).

Opinion: I must say that it is a great product, when compared to the price. I think you make it hard to find fault with this telezoom. The stabilization is really good as well as very fast, quiet autofocus. I think it's a must have for people who are new to photography with the mere lens of learning for degrees. Pros: AF quiet and precise, lightweight, attractive price

Cons: Compared to the price is perfect

Opinion: Taken to cover all focal lengths in support of the 18-55 kit and begin to learn. Autofocus quiet and fast enough, light body, blurred acceptable, good stabilizer. In my opinion, for what it costs is a great goal, as cheaply you can not have a zoom lens that is able to have performance better than good. Opinion: For the price it has respectable performance. rnDevo say that this lens as his younger brother (17-55 stm) are no longer the plasticoni once. I have only a week and from the photos I took were all usable. It was a little 'I was looking for a tele not challenging, and I must say that this is a very good compromise. It will not be the height of the most renowned L-series, it will not be bright, but it is small and light. Opinion: E 'was my first purchase after the arrival of the body with the 18-55 kit. Definitely great. Even at room temperature, f / 8 down, it is very clear. Good MF. If we add that mounted on APS-C is made at a very low price 400mm which gives good results, the few criticisms that could be done definitely become superfluous.

Pros: Low price for the quality. Let's sharpness at low cost. Very light. Also useful for some macro.

Cons: It seems a bit of a toy top. But slowly you get used to it. Missing hood

Opinion: Well, it was one of my first goals. Bought in support of the 18-55 base, I have been very useful. In my opinion excellent value for money. If you want something more professional, however, turns out qualcos'alto. The lack of a lens hood is a problem. Here, the Canon has a little sin. I've often done too many portraits, and is not bad.

Pros: low cost for the results obtained, bought in support of the 18-55 II had with my first aps-c that I use in astronomy (the 1000d), I immediately appreciated the good quality (sharpness) in photos though macro is not. lightweight and sturdy to me also, does not suffer from flare and although not weather sealed at least the dust does not enter behind the lens.

Cons: poor run of manual focus which makes it difficult macro pictures.

Opinion: I have a lot of fun with this lens because it allows good photos both canvases macro.rnOttimo to start and to take advantage of before you spend on the L and L pre, then the 'Appetite comes with ... scattando.rnVignetta a bit but it's still nice . rnLe photos of the flowers are magnificent and it is more than enough to learn the techniques macro, blurred tripod etc. .. rnlo sostituerò with the more famous of the 100 macro canon but in a few thousand scatti.rnrn

Pros: Extremely Lightweight and compact, quiet and accurate autofocus, sharpness at longer focal lengths significantly improved from the old series, finally continuous manual focus instantly.

Cons: not including lens hood, speed 'record-breaking autofocus.

Opinion: I come from the old series and I must say that this new redesigned lens has made great strides. The thing that 'jump to' eye and 'sharpness that gained at all focal lengths, but especially to those extremes. A 200-250 mm 'and as impressive as' improved. If storcevo before the nose to the more 'small crop, now there is a fine detail incredible. And finally 'was equipped with instant manual focus on' auto-focus, which is useful for distant subjects and partially covered or overlapped. It remains a lens made of plastic and unpretentious materials, but the construction and 'still dignified and free of play and inaccuracies. Obviously missing the hood but this time the original costs a little more 'than 14 € ... It appreciates the' lightness and compactness of everything on the stand and is balanced perfectly to the body without the need for adapter rings. New costs 260 Euros, it's worth it? I say absolutely yes, especially in light of the extreme sharpness it has acquired.

Pros: I would say sharpness at low cost, and frankly af zoom mellow quiet and fast a chasm compared to 18 135 smooth (not stm) are slightly deaf but has been confirmed by friends and inaudible! revised the boat mechanically Zoom does not rotate for me and good for the dust filters and particolari.consigliatissimo to those who do not want to svenare for a professional product very valid 70 200 f4 l is

Cons: Well at first glance a toy! the plastic trim zero in person, but the thing that makes me more angry tea you buy the lens hood canon apart .. you let me down! because it is very useful for a tele!

Opinion: For someone who does not seek professional quality is a good buy if you like samurai blades, please direct gaze on the L series if you have pennies to spend! (You get what you pay dearly!) I am posting a link where it is compared with a celebrity series the difference there 'obvious! but at what price! http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/ISO-12233-Sample-Crops.aspx?Lens=404&Camera=736&Sample=0&FLI=3&API=0&LensComp=856&CameraComp=736&SampleComp=0&FLIComp=5&APIComp=1
