Pros: AF speed and accuracy, sharpness, exceptional colors

Cons: The weight, but it is a small price compared to the results that can be obtained

Opinion: Seeing the photos here on the forum I immediately thought that I could not have it. I bought the used 70-200 (really little or nothing) for an almost ridiculous figure. Mounted on R6 and now I don't take it off anymore. Crazy colors, AF that does not miss a shot, sharpness to make an impression. Yes, the weight is felt, but every time you put your eye in the viewfinder you forget the fatigue. I will not go into technical details, there are already so many reviews that talk about it competently. Surely a lens that gives a lot of satisfaction, after trying it is difficult to leave it at home.

Pros: Great in everything, size, weight, AF speed, stabilization and last but not least optical performance

Cons: Knowing the sacrifice of the weight to be carried with you, nothing.

Opinion: I had already tried it before taking the f4 IS and discarded for the weight and bulk in the bag, but I already knew that sooner or later I would buy it and so it was. What to say that has not already been said about this splendid optics. Sharp from TA and at all focal lengths, exemplary construction. I arrive at him after leaving the stabilized white, of which I can only say good things, but after so many perplexities, as mentioned, for the weight and bulk, just grafted into the car and taken some test shots, you realize the difference that passes with the little brother and it is not just the extra stop. Tested with the Teleplus Kenko Pro 300 DGX 1.4x and 2x I noticed very little loss of sharpness and speed. The stabilization is very efficient and helps a lot on stationary subjects, the AF speed is exceptional. He wins hands down on the other focal peers who preceded him.

Pros: construction, sharpness, speed, precision, yield, price on used

Cons: heavy and bulky

Opinion: It is an excellent lens, built like a tank and with the perfect rendering, fast and precise, a sports lens of excellence. It's big and heavy, which is why I sold it. Surpassed by the RF model that weighs half a KG less and takes up so much less space in the bag, not without compromises (less robustness, zoom ring fludity and multipliability ...). It shares EVERYTHING with the 3 series, so spare parts will be available for a long time, buy it serene on the used!

Pros: Excellent image quality at all focal lengths and at TA, excellent contrast (thanks to fluorite)

Cons: I have not found any in 10 years of use. It's short for photographing birdlife, but it's great for sports

Opinion: I bought it in 2010 with a trade-in with part of the previous film kit, given the cost and I immediately appreciated the image quality, the blurred, the colors at all focal lengths. Excellent in sports (football, rugby, synchronized swimming), surpassed only by 300 2.8 and for situations where you need larger focal lengths from 100-400. Very useful in weddings to capture portraits on the fly and isolate the subjects. It was the first fluorite lens of my kit then came the 100-400 and the 300, but it occupies a central place in my heart.

Pros: Very high sharpness (extraordinary for a zoom), excellent seal even with the 1.4X II extender, Fast and precise AF, excellent construction, extreme robustness, sublime blurry (with the same focal point better than that of 135/2 L), excellent stabilizer (freehand easily used 1/4 sec. at 200 mm), circular diaphragm, accurate tropicalization, very well contained distortion, only good flare resistance... but with 19 lens groups it's frankly hard to do better.

Cons: Basically none because its only limits, namely size and weight, are the obvious consequence of what is said in the PRO regarding construction and robustness.

Opinion: In my humble opinion, it is the reference point in its category. I have tried for a long time all the 70-200 canon (and not only), and this condenses in itself all the numerous strengths of the various objectives that preceded it. I use it, like all my objectives, only on slide (Velvia 50 clearly) and in projection - where to understand only Kodak projectors equipped with Leica optics - its extraordinary qualities, I say literally, shine with their own light ... I very much doubt that I can ever even touch on the idea of separating myself from it.

Pros: L series, aperture f/2.8, sharpness, stabilizer up to 4 stops, robustness, safety in use.

Cons: Weigh-in but get used to it...

Opinion: A stratospheric lens! My favorite, at the moment, for portrait and portrait set. Scream sharpness and orgasm-blurred! The only flaw is the weight but you get used to it; on the other hand, it is an L-series optics with very high performance. With my digital Canon FF dialogues with wonder! A lens that every photographer, who has Canon as a kit, absolutely must possess!!! Grade 10/10.

Pros: L series, a real blade, constant opening at 2.8, impressive stabilizer, tropicalization, etc.

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: A truly exceptional lens, a sharp blade, before I had the f4 smooth also a blade, but this allows shots at 1/60 in total safety, has colors compared to the warmer f4, a blurry to envy many other lenses, it seems to have fixed always mounted that make you go from 70 to 200 without disassembling them from the body machine, once mounted you struggle to detach it. Paired with the 5d mark iii he never missed a shot, only pro. Grade 10/10

Pros: Series L... and I said it all!

Cons: Nothing!

Opinion: Precise and fast in focus; with the 1DX Mk II hooks 9 times out of ten even with the points of MaF outside (and I talk about dance photos on stages most of the times dark. A sharp and sparkling blade in detail. Tropicalization. Chromatic yield. Bocke at full-back that makes him rival the best portrait mediums. I mean, the perfect goal. To the comment before mine demolishing it, I suggest trying it with a PRO body like the 1DX or the 1DX Mark II or at least with one of the bodies of the 1D series. Vote 10!

Pros: Sharpness, colors, and image quality when docking

Cons: VERY disappointing AF compared to the cost of the lens

Opinion: My experience with these bianconi has always been bad, the quality when hooking is also good, unfortunately they have an inconsistency on the accuracy of focus (in my opinion shameful for the money that pays them). Absurdly my old 70-200 f4 was more accurate paired with a 350D than these super bright beasts. In sports they are a real disappointment, in the burst can make you 6 photos out of ten in focus as 6 out of 10 out of focus (among other things distant subjects are almost always wrong). I tried everything (70-200 f4 normal and stabilized/ 70-200 f2.8 smooth and stabilized first and second version), shipped almost all in service centers for further verification. My conclusion after a decade of photos is that the Focus Canon is a disillusionment, both in terms of the machine body and the lenses. In particular this 70-200 is perhaps the best of the lot, far from having a product worth the money spent.

Pros: Reliability, speed, colors, fire, everything

Cons: Weight

Opinion: Super Lens, maybe the best of all or almost. I came from the homonymous smooth. This has an amazing stabilizer and colors if possible even better. Someone says the hike is little and is better a 100-400 zoom. Maybe... the ideal would be to have them both. An EPR portraiture and indoor sports and one for outdoor sports and birdlife. Weighs but is well balanced.

Pros: All

Cons: If I have to say something negative is not very light.

Opinion: Well, I don't know what to add to all the comments you read about this lens. I can only say that by being able, I would always mount it on my room. I never smash it, for me it is the perfect lens to which you can not give up. Only regret that I have is not being able to try it and use it with a full-frame and exploit it even more because with an APS-C, I start from 112 mm and for this beautiful lens is a bit penalizing... For Avifauna is too short, but otherwise it's okay always... someone reproaches me for using it for landscapes and is right.. But I have to tell you.. I can't take it off! Not recommended, much more, inevitable! Greetings to all and good light.

Pros: sharpness, build quality, focal excursion, multiplicable, stabilized, tropicalised, beautiful lens

Cons: weight, but you know

Opinion: I do not know what else to say about this sacred monster ... it's true it's heavy (for this I did not give 10 but "only" 9, even if there was a 9.5 I would have given this as a vote) .rn absolutely stratospheric, sharpness to TA and for the whole focal excursion, stabilized by fear, even with multiplier 1.4 I enjoyed it. The colors are fantastic.rnI am absolutely satisfied with the purchase and I'm not worried about the weight: I did a whole weekend with this baby and I came out alive.rnCerto the price is challenging but if you think about the results and satisfactions that can give away, after a while you do not think about it anymore!

Pros: All I expected

Cons: When I buy a lens, I know what I do.

Opinion: I had already had this perspective. Then tried and bought the 100-400 L II and having also the 70-200 L f4 IS (more convenient and practical for the outputs with the backpack on the mountain trails and combined with the M6), I sold it. But though ... I missed it. So it's back in my bags. Up to here it seems more a justification for buying than a review ... ;-) rnIn Effects, it would be enough to quote the previous reviews, this goal has already been said of everything and more. It is not a duplicate of 100-400 that I use for cars and motorcycles and that remains, for me, certainly better than the 70-200 duplicate in that area. But in other contexts and when the light is poor and do not need the extra mm, this 70-200 makes you take home the shot. For the weight that some complain ... I'm used to 100-400, so no problem. For the IS ... here, perhaps and for me (perhaps and for me) that of 100-400 is better. Fast and safe AF. The yield is always good at all focal lengths / apertuking. So still a must for those who have Canon.

Pros: Resolution at full aperture and at all focal lengths, effective stabilization, autofocus

Cons: nobody

Opinion: Who leaves the old way for the new, knows what he leaves but does not know what he finds. I would say that this saying well describes my feeling at the time of purchase and in the first weeks of using this lens. I bought it after selling the 70-200 f / 4L IS. The little brother was practically perfect so the doubts were a thousand. A thousand euros also the difference between what I got from the sale of the bianchino and the price of this. For sure and I expected so much. I did not get what I expected right away. With the use I became aware of the superior quality of this perspective in all conditions. Even with the 1.4x multiplier, the quality is at the highest levels and the reactivity of high autofocus. I bought it to work at f / 2.8 where it is actually easier to make a mistake, just a little. We need a little more attention to get exceptional results. Having also changed the camera body, from 5D mk II to 5DSr, I discovered the effectiveness of%3B AI-foscus or AI-servant. rnThe resolution offered is at the highest levels, proof of 5DSr.rnLo fuzzy is very pleasant on all focal lengths, similar to what you get with the fixed. Excellent colors and contrast. It is an optic that lends itself very well to the portrait. Now, after a few months, I feel satisfied. If the cost and weight do not scare, I recommend it.rn

Pros: Robustness, sharpness, speed and AF reliability

Cons: The weight, but on lenses of this focal length with this quality is a certain fact that is known even before the purchase

Opinion: I arrived to buy this lens after passing for the first series Tamron and for the first 100/400 series. I have never used the other two lenses because I have excellent fixtures like the 85 1.2 L and the 135 L f2 and therefore except on rare occasions where the flexibility of the zoom was winning, I always preferred the fixed .rnPoi one morning I I was convinced to replace the pompone with the 100/400 ii of which everyone speaks very well. Entered the store I reasoned for a long time on the matter and at the end I opted for the biancone adding a 2x multiplier. The reason for this choice is due to the fact that for the moment I do not make nature and sports photography and then for the little that happens to me when I mount the multiplier I still have a 140-400 f5.6 that has nothing to envy the pompone, but 'removed the small barrel I have a fantastic lens with clarity and quality' to sell. It is not comparable to the first series Tamron, the gap is huge. I use it on 5d3 and the results are excellent. But we must not approachi to its use thinking of the stabilizer and therefore losing sight of the shutter speed. Using it in critical conditions I "lost" sight of the shutter speed and even though the pictures seemed to be clear when I downloaded them, I was disappointed, there was so much shake. I had the doubt that the lens suffered from problems of af, or that the stabilizer did not work well, also because a few days before I had fallen as I descended from a large truck with the backpack remained open. He made a nice thump on the asphalt, however, with a slight scratch on the hood. I then called some friends more experienced than me to ask for advice. The stabilizer is so quiet that I thought it did not work at all. Then I tested the lens at the bottom of the stand and then freehand framing small subjects like a coin 4 meters away and the response was excellent. My mistake was to use it two days later to photograph the Christmas performances in schools. The first time I was therebacklighting and then I resorted to the use of flash and the results obtained were exciting, beautiful colors, sharpness at the highest levels. The next day I found myself in another location, with the natural light angled much better and moreover I could not use the flash because a videographer was instructed to shoot a video. And here I had to cheat, because I chose to work in AV with ISO A, often having to change position to resume the various scenes. I then found many shots to 1/80, however, are too few for children who do not run even if they do not stop a second even if the script plans to remain static. Moreover, to not impale the rooms I have almost always taken sitting on the ground, in unlikely positions. It would have been enough to set the minimum speed of the shutter to 1/125 and I would have got 99% of the clear and perfect photos. For the rest, the lens has already been multi-made by excellent photographers. I match it with the 24-70 2.8 is ii which obviously is his ideal companion, slipping into his pocketthe small multiplier with only 2 objectives can leave for a trip with the awareness of being covered on all fronts and above all with lenses of the highest quality that have nothing to envy to the landlines, naturally to the same openings. rnSomeone claims that setting it to 135 mm is identical for yield at 135 f2. I have doubts, the 135 remains unbeatable for me and especially for three-dimensionality and of course weight and size. And 'comhnque a must have among the first to buy for the kit. I wanted to write among the flaws the white color that makes him notice a lot and then you risk a little 'anti "paparazzo" reaction of the people, but I did not because it is the color that characterizes the canvas and supertele Canon and then it would not make much sense. I like white and if I see another photographer with something white next to me I am attracted and try to understand what he is mounting.

Pros: All! if weight is not taken into account, but you can not have it all!

Cons: Nothing, for wanting to be fuss-free the weight and the minimum focusing distance of 1.5mt

Opinion: I missed the excuse, I wanted to review the 70/200 L first series "I took a lot of photos with this magnificent goal, I do not think that at the time of its release there has been nothing better and even today it has history, beautiful portraits, softness and sharpness excelent, wonderful tonal rendering, quick focus, an object that only pleases you to keep it in hand then when you see the shots it is pure libido! To find a limit in my opinion the minimum focusing distance of 1, 5mt, I preferred a larger zoom ratio especially when you make photos in interiors, especially ceremonies. A tip! If you find it a good buy it too because today you buy it at acceptable prices for the item, it seems to have paid me in £ on 4 million! Vote 9.9 only for the minimum focusing distance. "I would delete the review but it does not make me, sigh!

Pros: all

Cons: for now nothing

Opinion: I waited a lot before buying this goal, passing for two tamron first series and second series (the G2) but the latter just testing. The Tamron are undoubtedly good targets with excellent performance of sharpness and speed, but frankly nothing comparable to this lens that is worth all the money spent. The overall quality is superb in all its features. I do not add anymore because it has already been abundantly told all of this lens that even after years remains in the top list of the best.

Pros: All!

Cons: To be fussy, I would have liked the same minimum distance of MAF 100-400 II, for the rest nothing!

Opinion: Writing the "Biancone" is difficult because now everything has been written and I can only confirm the positive impressions of those who preceded me. Already a happy owner of the "Smooth White", I doubted that the "big brother" could have the same excellent clarity as the little one (mine is particularly successful ...) already at TA. I am very happy to have been copying, this lens allows me to work where I first had to surrender or raise ISO ... Prior to him I tried another 70-200 f / 2.8 (the Tamron, Sigma) but none of them had the same clarity To TA, in the little lighted gyms indispensable to bring home at least decent results. RnPredred long focal lengths, so for me 70-200 is almost a handyman, especially if mounted on FF. Of course, it weighs more than the "whitewash", but the weight you get used to, the results obtained with this lens is a pleasure, even greater than the one I was used to. AvailEven on the 100-400 II I do not think I will use it with multipliers. I only regret it: did not buy it before ... but considering the price I got it, I removed Canon's cashback, maybe I did well to wait. The second regret: it goes to finish that I sell the faithful whitewash, from which I would not be separated for anything in the world ... rnrn

Pros: all

Cons: nothing

Opinion: Purchased 2 times 3 times, and then resold to the weight, the size, the flashiness etc.etc. but this time don't sell it anymore, I have suffered every time I would serve and I didn't. His main areas of application are varied but where it excels and where I would say, is indispensable in situations like the theatre or concerts (which is why I bought the first time), low light, distance that can't decide at will, quality in difficult conditions. I won't repeat what has already been said by many on this superb lens, would say only that it is a definitive Canon lens, certainly the best zoom in its range and in some cases exceeding the fixed the same focal length. Even the 100-400 L II is a super zoom but the aperture 2.8 is by far prefer this 70-200 in the above situations, although at 70 mm is not razor sharp at f 2.8 as it is focal. It works fine with 1.4 x and becomes a fixed f4 from about 100 to 280 mm. With the 2 x I've never tried it but I read positive opinions and you have a f 5.6 from 140 to 400 mm. Costs and weighs but the results are always exceptional. The tripod ring is standard. rating 10

Pros: Af precise and fast, held at all focal lengths, grade 'excellent images gia'da machine

Cons: weight if we want to find something but it was granted

Opinion: Purchased used by a user of the forum after many hesitations due more 'than anything else to the cost of the lens than to any real quality' optics to replace an economic Tamron than however has done its job. Pros: sharpness, excellent AF, image stabilization, brightness

Cons: high price (but in line with the quality of the lens)

Opinion: Although for nature photography I prefer longer focal lengths (eg. 100-400), I got to try this objective and has made a very good impression. No multipliers, the image quality is excellent at all focal lengths and all diaphragms, even at f / 2.8. With the multiplier 1.4x it is still fully usable, even at full aperture, while showing a slight loss of sharpness. Like all Zoom, a little fatigue with 2x multiplier; open aperture sharpness to 400mm is not optimal, but it becomes fully usable closing at f / 8. The autofocus is very fast and it also remains good with multipliers (retains the AF even with 2x); the build quality is at the highest level. And '' solid 'enough, it weighs 1.5kg; if you are looking for a compact and lightweight to carry around 70-200 I recommend the excellent 70-200 f / 4 IS, while if you are interested in the maximum brightness, provided you bring with you a little more pesor, the 70-200 f / 2.8 IS II is currently the best 70-200 that you can take to a Canon camera.

Opinion: This is clearly a lens is not easy to "manage", weighs almost 2kg hardly suitable for long trips because it also clearly needs to be accompanied by at least one optical (the perfect match you are obviously with the 24-70 f2 .8) .rnSuperati trauma arm to carry this light (I highly recommend you equip your machine to a wrist support because it really helps a lot), it is definitely worth for results that restituisce.rnA all focal lengths and in all openings results are extraordinary, unnecessary repeat what are the most appropriate use but when you get to a certain level I think this lens is a must.rnL'ho even compared with his younger brother, always stabilized 70-200mm f4 and objectively The difference is noticeable, not so much for the brightness but mainly because the "Biancone" f4 already cuts like a razor and the sharpness is really amazing, unlike the "Whitey" that f4 suffers a po'.rnIl grande weight and stabilizer that compensates for up to 4 stops make it practically impossible to camera shake when shooting at 200mm (in this case always recommend a safety margin that means taking at least 1/125, then a lot depends on your hand) .rnScattando to TA and very long focal lengths (over 160mm) and in conditions of bright light, I find just a little 'flat the blacks, but in post just tighten a wire (-10 -15 Lightroom as a reference) and their depth back certainly adequate to return the correct contrasto.rnMateriali exceptional robustness same level, dials focus and management focal fluid and precise that run smoothly without giving any feeling of imperfezione.rnFlare aberrations and controlled even in extreme conditions, I give up laboratory tests because in the end are the field trials that do justice or not a lente.rnIl price is the sore point, but on the other hand taking into account the evolution of these lenses are quite rare even used very keen fine. Inon addition those planning to buy it must keep an eye some cash back offered by Canon that could save a good 10% on the nuovo.rnSempre admitted that the budget is not unlimited, I suggest a good photographic experience before making this purchase to make the most of this lens. It 'sa bit like buying a supercar, not for new drivers!

Cons: Weight Lens Reflex + but not so heavy

Opinion: Hello guys, I'm one of many amateur photographers, among other objectives that I own, I decided to review what most worshiped and that I would bring with me trannein some cases or situations. In some matrimotions of the time I felt most of the observed photographer, hihihihihi I being 1.94 meters tall. Pros: Sharpness and detail, robustness, troicalizzazione, solidity, stabilizer 4-stops, great location Dials MAF and zoom, brightness and constant aperture.

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: After four months of use I can feel very pleased to have purchased quest'obbiettivo. Having passed the Tamron 70-300 VC USD to the famous canon 70-200 IS II the jump was huge. The optical quality is heard and than my old Zoom there's just no comparison: 70-200 this is absolutely the lens sharpest I've ever tried, even better than the excellent Canon 70-300 L or 400 f /5.6. Already by f / 2.8 the sharpness is excellent and f / 5 to the maximum, although you have to make a crop of 100% to understand the differences. The stabilizer of four stop plays its job and allows images that are crisp and blur-free even at 1 / 30th of a second or less. The solidity is another big plus point of this lens. Sure, it weighs a ton, but I can not understand the complaints due to its weight, because of better do not think we could do, being un'obbiettivo stabilized and moreover opening constant f / 2.8! I think if youbuy an objective factors such as the weight and its price should be known and taken into account before buying, to know, at least, what you go against. Having said that you feel the strength and solidity of the objective, which seems to be built to withstand even the most adverse conditions. I personally tried in the mountains with dense fog at temperatures below zero and in the pouring rain in June, but the goal, thanks to the weather sealing, has not given me any problems whatsoever as, for example, was the Tamron in the same conditions. The position of the rings of MAF and zoom are also put in a great location, where the weight is balanced correctly. Needless to say, then, that the constant aperture f / 2.8 helps a lot, especially when working with animals. Before you buy I doubt whether prefer this one 100-400 IS II and actually if I would serve a diaphragm so open and its little PDC in nature. Well now I feel happy to aver made this choice because even diaphragm so open is not a problem to work with animals, just only that you evaluate the situation well shooting. Finally I put in against "No" even though I'm a bit 'of problems with this view we've had them. In fact, the IS occasionally made strange noises and protracted. However, after the second tour assistance, at least until now, the noise is not reappeared. According to even hear the opinion of other people and users who own the aforementioned optical them have never had such problems, so my should have been an isolated case and therefore does not consider it necessary to add to this against my problema.rnDetto what advice strongly optics, especially those who travel reportage and portraits although I think it should not be missing in the kit of a good nature photographer. Opinion: After thinking a while I finally caught and I tested it on the field. It has an impressive sharpness, returns faithfully the colors, has a fast AF, has the opportunity to work with all 65 AF points of the Canon 7D II, has the image stabilizer of the second generation that prevents camera shake but allows panning, not it is a feather, but if you search for this kind of quality a few sacrifices, besides the price you also must do. Pros: Crisp, Fast, Reliable

Cons: Weight, Price

Opinion: After doubts and towards the end I opted for the 70-200 2.8 IS II making the Tamron 70-200 VC, the latter in many ways made it so good as the harrier but looks reliability made me face the outlay necessario.rnIl advantage of this view is its performance in terms of IQ linked to speed and accuracy (as long as everything is calibrated properly), it not only produces excellent images but always puts the focus where you say and do it quickly even in low light, something the competition does with equal dexterity, in addition stabilizes silently and effectively ensuring a regular stop on average recuperati.rnUn last crucial aspect concerns the sharpness at f2.8 this as on other optical f4 or more and the constancy of this sharpness at all focal lengths, where instead other 150 to 200 are more morbidi.rnConsiglio this objective to those who got tired of compromises and want the very best of these focal!

It 's always with me, I used it on the 50D and currently on 6D. Sharpness, boken, stratospheric colors, excellent stabilizer silent and lightning. Pros: Construction and assembly at the highest level, Sharpness, stabilizer 4-stops, versatility, excellent AF.

Cons: Weight

Opinion: There I from 6 months but I've used it a few times due to changing equipment, mostly I've played sports and nature. What can I say come from the younger brother and I made the F4 is madness to sell it 10 months after obtaining nearly 900 Euros and I had to add two more in 1100 then applies f4 IS but honestly for the services provided them worth every penny. . I start from the quality of materials really good, when handling it really has the feeling of having something in your hands compact and finished to the highest levels. The image quality is not discussed, some told me that it was not worth 1000 euroin more for the "one stop" difference, but instead gentlemen the difference in quality can be seen from a mile away. Af fast and stabilizer lets you take close quietly with times per second, all this combined with a unique versatility, because having a focal length ranging from 70-200 means being able to do almost everything, a must for the sport undoubtedly but in some cases also excellent for wildlife, but it should bevery well for portraits and reportage street .. I plugged in against the weight, then I'm not a guy who complains too much even get up because of heavy loads in the gym but I have to say that even after a few shots coupled with the 7D and bg-e7 arms begin to accuse, unfortunately it is the only price to pay for this view as truly exceptional satisfaction are unique in any way. Cons: Weight, price, and perhaps it would be better if it was black, for extra discretion when you are around.

Opinion: A purchase and weighted suffered a thousand times because of the high price taking into consideration the amateur that I do. Now that I have it I regret having waited so long. I have not tried the fixed focal lengths covered by this zoom, but even if they were better, I "settle" the photo that spring and bloom from this. I tried it and it is fabulous especially on portraits. On the street gives me a little 'discomfort can not go "unnoticed" and at first I felt wasted for my needs. Then I had the opportunity to take pictures at a friend's wedding and friends over for a new twist for the results obtained without being the official photographer enjoyed the versatility, so the idea out of my head to get me some fisso.rnL 'idea of some fixed lens instead has stayed with me the entire zoom range covered by the 24-70 f/2.8 1st version that does not give me the same satisfaction from more when I have the 70-200. For this reason, there is almost always on my 6D attacked him. Now I understand those who say that some goals are addictive. I tried it during the day with the extender 2X III to photograph and film the tricolor arrows in an event and did not notice loss of detail if not enlarging in an exaggerated way and I would say inutilmente.rnChi can and aim for the highest quality purchases it also used and will never repent.

Pros: Sharpness, AF speed, image stabilizer, use multipliers

Cons: Price, weight

Opinion: Optical fabulous against that of only the price (but worth all the money spent) and weight (which is not exactly a featherweight, in fact). The sharpness already at room temperature is incredible and the 4-stop IS makes you take in times vermanete unthinkable. The building is granite and the size of the lens are really important (it's still a f / 2.8 tropicalized). The AF is fast, accurate and silent and holds up well the 2X extender series III (unless you work in low light). With the multiplier is going to close at f / 8 and the file is baked, in my opinion, less than the Canon 100-400 in the same aperture. The minimum focus distance of 1.2 m going to beat even from this point of view the previous version. I used it for portraiture and birdlife. For those who have the finances and do not worry about transport and handle an important role, loved it!

The weight and bulk defects because they do not consider them more or less equivalent to the 70-200 2.8 concorrenza.rnE 'a lens built to last with multiple uses, from indoor sports, the ceremonies, the street to the portrait, using it with an extender 2X (better in the series III) and 7D also a photographic safari. Multipliers is a different matter, with 1.4 x II AF keeps a good speed, I'd still acceptable, taking with regard to the use sports photos, but lost a little sharpness. With 2 x III would say that you totally lose the concept of 'excellence in this light, the AF is slow and often difficult to engage the subject, sharpness loses further with unsatisfactory results. It's fabulous. It has the best fixed yield, although compared to the 135l for example loses that magic stop and a bit of blurred artistic typical of the old style lenses. At any focal and aperture always provides stunning images. It's a little heavy, on the other hand it makes you forgive for its versatility. It is true the F4 costs and weighs half, the 2.8 snaps where the F4 can not: In the theater, in the church, concerts, in the gym, when looking for a dense blurred, the 2.8 primeggia. Pros: Optical quality, color, sharpness, stabilizer, construction.

Cons: Weight and price.

Opinion: This lens should be part of any kit Canon. Rarely a product is free of defects, and this is one of those cases. The optical quality is excellent at all apertures, without decay particles at the edges. The construction is great, and zooming in provides a great balance. The stabilization system is one of the best I've ever tried: fast (a few milliseconds of bedding), quiet (almost inaudible) and effective. Also the AF is fast and accurate. I do not have defects found! It is very light but is built with premium materials and a zoom with constant aperture to 2.8. Canon produces four zoom like 70-200. They differ in the opening f4 or f2.8 and for the presence or absence of the stabilizer. I actually used all four and all have excellent quality. But if you can pretend everything: 2.8 the stabilizer. You will not regret.

Pros: Sharpness, IS Autofocus impressive, impeccable build quality and excellent bokeh

Cons: I would say no, the weight and the price do not consider them as such, since the object and the results it produces

Opinion: The use of old 5D, a lens is virtually perfect, razor sharp at all apertures and focal lengths, sometimes even too ... AF speed is almost disoriented me, and the stabilizer works wonders for me, I have a little 'shaky hand, but I shoot at 1/15 properties. Consistent with the focal, there fo everything without limitations. 5D from practically not the detachment almost never, as mentioned above the price ... forgotten after a month and the weight after a few days. I also tried on the starry sky with the 40D and wanting to be just picky to 2.8 is not quite 100% but apochromatic already f4 is, for a zoom lens 23 is a remarkable result so much that I voted 10 . Goal must-have!

Pros: sharpness, great bokeh, autofocus fulminant stabilizer exaggerated, high output with new multipliers

Cons: weighs a bit, but there is nothing more light with the same performance

Opinion: I own this zoom for about 6-7 months and I had to try it in many situations the incisiveness of this lens you can not describe in words ... Often to follow friends who are nature photography multiply it with the 2x series3 and I can assure you that it is absolutely less than a 100-400 despite the multiplier. Ultimately if you are not fond of nature photography exclusively the object and what it does for you.

Pros: 4-stop IS real, fast AF, sharpness and overall yield from Fear.

Cons: Weight, price, addictive.

Opinion: I believe I have never seen or tried in any of the trademarks photographic zoom with a similar yield. Excessively sharp at all focal lengths and all apertures, made incredibly smooth to the edges even on FF, no AC and very low vignetting, a stabilizer and an incredible AF speed worthy of the best fixed with righetta red. In more multipliers makes as a disk, which makes it very versatile. Finally, the minimum distance of 1.2 m maf, together with the overall yield multipliers, making it great for beautiful closeup. If this is the rendering of the new super telephoto L canon, I can not imagine the new Series II from 300 up what they can do. Defects? Goal despite being fairly compact, weighs, it weighs a lot and is felt early in his arms, but is often encounter. The price even talk about it since its absolute value. The construction is impeccable and excellent equipment. There is a lens hood, tripod ring and carrying bag. I got it despite being an amateur photographer also because I imagine that in 10 years is still worth the same amount as it is unlikely to be improved. There was the button, I put 11 as voting lens.

Pros: Excellent quality, excellent AF, good bokeh, IS allows shooting at times the focal unthinkable.

Cons: no, indeed zoom 2.8 could not be light, indeed one ...... makes you leave home also fixed from 85 to 200.

Opinion: I find it great for street, portraits, indoor sports and reportage, so I think it is a lens to have in a kit. I tested it only with the 2X TC II where it provides high image quality in losing the responsiveness of the 'AF, hope to get a feedback from the III, if the AF did not lose in terms of speed would be a lens without limits.

Pros: Sharpness, AF speed, stability, quality construction.

Cons: No, I would say the weight quite challenging but feathers between 2.8 zoom does not seem to remember ...

Opinion: A lens that is close to perfection: razor-sharp at all focal lengths and at any aperture, fast AF motor, a stabilizer which can take safely to 1/40 "at the maximum focal length (on APS-H by the way ...), one blurred nice and creamy ... so it is a must have for anyone ordeals in travel reportage, sports photos, weddings, ceremonies and events in general. Regge very good multipliers used with the 1 .4 X II is exceptional, with TC2X II has a quality not unlike that of the 100-400 though, compared to the latter, the speed performance of AF found to significantly (and understandably) less brilliant. probably using the new third-generation CT performance velocistiche AF they could benefit.
