Pros: New and used quality / price, battery life, more robust than an entry-level, depth-of-field preview button.

Cons: ISO to full stop, ISO holding a little poor.

Opinion: Taking 3 years ago as the first reflex body, to convince me to take her at the expense of the 1100D I just took them in hand for a few seconds. Stronger robust basic entry level, a little more serious, may also be good due to a possible shift to FF (or higher level APS-C) for short trips or battle situations. If I had taken the 1100D after 6 months I would have made the broth, but I took it after 3 years.

Pros: Articulated screen; battery life ... infinite; Quick click / use; more than discrete quality

Cons: MAF does not always specifically focus on the sides; viewfinder 95%; very slow buffer

Opinion: I own it since 2012 although I have little use and I find it very intuitive in the settings; I can leave it in stand-up for a whole day and the speed of use does not make me lose a shot. The use for a few weeks with a fantastic 24mm f 2.8 and I have zeroed the fatigue in bringing it back and, in fact, goes with me everywhere. If I have to give advice, it is worth it. Use in manual and always reacts fairly well around the ISO 1600. I'm so pleased that I sold the 5D mark ii that after a day together causes tremendous cervical osteoarthritis.

Pros: Articulated screen, battery life, video quality, quality / price

Cons: Lateral side AF with low light, burst (but if you take it is not to make birdlife), big over 1600, look at 95%

Opinion: I have been driving this car for 4 years and I would say that I can give you an objective and complete opinion. The machine in my hands (small) shoes very well and I do not feel the need for a batterygrip. The battery really wears a lifetime, I have two spare parts but I do not think I have ever used it. Menus and keys are very intuitive, I remember at the time of going to try different machines, but with canon was love at first touch. The adjustable screen is a real manna from the sky and opens you very interesting perspectives (especially in the videos) Without having to become a contortionist or not knowing what is being framed. The 10x zoom with attached focus is great for accurate focusing on the millimeter. The raw cheeks are nice provided you do not climb over the 1600 iso (obviously in low light, if the environment is well lit also take a 3200 iso is quietly feasible) over the noise begins to become intrusive. Sincerely I've never pushed over the 3200, the 6400 do not even know what they are! RnThe meter sometimes amBut I learned how to shoot in the manual by compensating for the error of exposure I already know that it will (as it is said, all experience). The burst is obviously low as well If you can calmly bring something home, but that's not why you buy this car. The AF on the side points is not the best, especially with economical targets (eg 50 1.8) while with optics like the 2.8 2.8 stm is very accurate, but now by habit only shots with the center and recomposed. The live view is very good though the focus is slow, but never imprecise.rn As far as the video segment is concerned, I can not be satisfied with it. I've made several videos and I've always been satisfied (to have a good audio I need an external microphone). In conclusion I find it a perfect machine for those who want to start photographing, but also able to offer something more, especially at the price at which It is used.

Pros: RAW quality. Intuitive in settings and above all fast in use; Great orientation LCD.rnEasy battery life.rn excellent quality price ratio

Cons: It suffers from the very high ISO excessive digital noise (over 1600). Not indicated for sporting photos. Small and small, requires a battery grip.rn to improve its handgrip

Opinion: I have been in possession for years and the advice to all newcomers, compared to the other entry levels, makes really exceptional files for the category. Good quality RAWs, although it's not a FF, Up to 800 ISO gives you great PHOTOS both before and after the PP. At the top of the ISO, however, there is excessive digital noise (above 1600) but discreetly recoverable on PP.rnOne Professionals use it as spare, or as a second machine. Intuitive in settings and above all fast in use; Excellent LCD display.rnTerminal durable battery life.rnNot recommended for sporting photos with only 9 focus points.rn Small and plush, requires a grip on battery grip.rnSpesso It is affected by the burst speed and charging time too long if the internal flash is used.

Pros: Economical, great for learning, swiveling screen

Cons: High iso, plasticous,

Opinion: It was my first car and still I keep it as second body, and we can not get much of it. Taking the current price on the cloth gives great satisfaction. Fantastic swivel screen, where reviewing photos is a pleasure, as image quality is high, but obviously on more modern or more professional machines the difference is noticeable, in particular the maximum ISO usable does not exceed 1600 to avoid the really annoying grain .rnDoes a little bit robust (especially the tiltable screen) but is still built very well.

Pros: Swivel screen, good entry-level, compactness

Cons: Big big, third-degree missing, look a bit small

Opinion: Great start-up or back-up machine: the body is small, but well-accessible, the quality, especially low, is definitely high. Great for the swing screen and big dedicated keys, you can not use third parties (with magic lantern yes). I use it in my opinion as long as 1600, with a bit of noise, in addition, if in low light, it becomes unmanageable. Recommended as a body for those who start now, given the prices of the used, but also as a "battle" body to be fitted with another machine.

Pros: Weight, adjustable screen, quality-price, robustness,

Cons: I would say the ISO, but seeing the cost we can accept them is obviously not a FF. Only 9 focus points.

Opinion: I used this toy for several years, and it was my first Reflex. I used it for everything, from the photos to the disco, portraits and landscapes (which I still use to take behind the FF and risk I do not go). It has gorgeous colors that sometimes on the 6D do not pull out. Coupled with good optics from several satisfactions. Obviously Iso yield is comparable to what is the machine .. But surely for a beginner it is recommended !!

Pros: Weight, ergonomics, adjustable screen, quality, price

Cons: ISO, color range, year of manufacture, burst

Opinion: I state that I came to this body by a machine 1000D time ago, and that the jump was really remarkable. I own the 600D by now enough time and only in the last few months I started to feel the limits. As a next level to entry level machine is formidable, it easily approaches and during use by a feeling of safety and soundness, the orientation features then it is a real convenience and offers solutions in many different shooting solutions. The B produces have a good workability. rnNei pro I also wrote "ergonomics", and indeed it is comfortable to hold in your hand, then I prefer to roll up the strap around your wrist and well squeeze the handle and I have always been able to notice a very good grip. Certainly put in comparison with his older sisters lose ground and would not mind having a bit 'more space for your fingers, but you realize after a while' is used. It is immediately above the entry level you can see its limits after a while ', but there are, apart from thein the aforementioned ergonomics, ISO above 800 are felt, especially in PP, and even without the noise changes you notice. The barrage also is modest, especially after so much that you use! After years that I can also claim to feel the limits on palette. We must also take into account age, it is certainly not old indeed, but it is better to know if you wanted to buy. Personally to those Iniza to the council, especially if not paid much! It 'a great companion from which it is difficult to separate (personally I think I keep it if and when I pass level).

Pros: Great value for money, swivel screen and very understandable use

Cons: a little bit like, very sound structure as soon as you increase the ISO, slow burst viewfinder and not 100%

Opinion: A machine that is perfect to start, although after a year of use I started to feel the limits, the swivel screen is very convenient in certain situations, the handle is very small and fits in hands femminili.rnAd high ISO noise is very annoying and the sensor is not really exceptional for the sharpness. The barrage is very slow and sometimes I was impallata.rnAltro problem is the viewfinder does not cover 100% of what you catch and then with wide-angle lenses the difference is remarkable and often you need to crop in postproduction.

Pros: sturdy, swiveling screen, value for 'price

Cons: 9 points of focus (only the center cross, over ISO 800 makes several whims

Opinion: E 'it was and is' still my first digital SLR; are immediately entered in confidence with every setting very similar to the Canon compact that even I carry around as an emergency, she was very satisfied in all that pretending to be her and gave me the opportunity 'to enter the digital SLR without much sofisticismi. I do not sell it 'ever; with a modest 50 1.8 EF and 'a machine that does not require too many settings for shots of all days. I'm thinking of an upgrade maybe FF but the old 600 not mollo.rn

Pros: Pros: Great value for money, swiveling screen very useful in macro and in video, convenience and comfort of the buttons and I must say also intuitive usage, and durable enough robusta.rn

Cons: Cons: Noise visible at high ISO, only 9 points of focus of which only the central cross then only one as more reliable, battery life great for photos, much less for the video and for use in live view. Body size not too generous (like most of the entry level) rn

Opinion: It 'was my first entry level in effect, that with her I switched to digital. I came from a eos 5 analog ergonomically to hold longer present! For the price it's a good, high-performance machine. I did not need a high-speed burst for my favorite genres. Simple to use and intuitive as a whole. I'm really happy with the purchase.

Pros: Great value for money, swiveling screen, practicality and comfort of the buttons, durable material.

Cons: Visible noise at high ISO, a few points of focus, battery life greatly reduced in video mode, AF a bit noisy (although much depends on the lens).

Opinion: It will not be the machine for professionals, but if you do not need a full frame for use amateur or semi-professional is very valid, and when combined with good optics can really surprise you. Simple to use and very practical. The outer material is very durable Easy to carry in your bag. A step forward compared to the alternatives on the market. Test passed!

Pros: Lightness, useful door, ease of use accessories and objectives affordable price, I must say also very robust.

Cons: At high ISO does not satisfy me much but I do not see big improvements in the new machines of the same category. Viewfinder unfortunately you adapt quickly decentralizing the shot. It would take a fixed display. The flurry 3.7 is not the best, and with the rain because it is not logically tarnish tropic ...

Opinion: I appreciate the natural color reproduction, the convenience and simplicity of the controls that did not induce in unnecessary distractions. Sometimes I exposed to major risks; over cliffs and waterfalls, with a self-timer and screen oriented towards me, bolted to a simple stick. The port in the backpack, even bikes and motorcycles. I think in the future I will stay in the APS-c because I appreciate his useful "crop factor" with a more powerful model, but I will keep it as the second most useful body to watch sporting events and popular that I like a lot without losing time to change the objectives.

avatarjunior
sent on March 17, 2015

Pros: Rotatable screen, quality / price ratio, ergonomics, comfort buttons, good color rendering, battery life, even at high ISO good image resolution,

Cons: Handle a bit 'too plastic (but I have never caused problems) and cover the viewfinder with 100%

Opinion: For this price is really good. It 'was my first (and so far only) reflex. There has been a giant leap compared to the compact as both image quality and as a color resolution. In my opinion, as each canon, makes great colors in the shot; although the noise at high ISO is present, it is easily manageable and accompanying it with good optics it is drastically reduced. The autofocus can sometimes be slower, but often depends on the lens which is accompanied, again with an "upgrade" of the goals the problem persists longer. I would say, then, that as the body is very high quality, that together with good lenses can only give pictures that make proud of.

Pros: Ergonomics, resolution, swiveling display, spot metering

Cons: high iso noise, single point center cross

Opinion: I would say that at this price, and 'a really good entry level, will give' great satisfaction, I come from a eos 400d and the jump and 'great, I took only the body because I had the optics, mounts the memory type sd, I cf the favorite, if you use the live view the battery lasts much less, I have disabled the Function: Reduce Long exposure noise and high ISO, I do it in post production, and now 'much more' fast, a good pair with sd card

Pros: Weight not eccessivornGhiere buttons and comfortable enough (then goes to personal taste) rnRegolazioni manual exposure etc. on movies and recording full hdrnPrezzo not excessive (especially now there are some good offers in kit also

Cons: Noise and grain visible enough already 800 iso (with standard optical it's easy to lose on picture quality, perhaps with more optical 'light noise is more' manageable and workable in post production) rnSi slips easily dust on the mirror focus / plasticky small panel to start the camera) .rnVelocita 'autofocus (for the model is that you can not' pretend quickly excellent but 'if you have on optical base is more' hard to engage rapidly subjects) rn

Opinion: A camera suitable to all, simple to use, with features of a entrylevel but higher-end. If not for the construction of interior materials in my opinion very robust and noise issue already in iso average would give even a full 8. In essence, the camera itself is good for just a band of people who are entering the world or refle especially those who do not need a product but too professional to amateur to take pictures during holidays or everyday situations. With optics more 'series or adding external flash can' become a machine already better, offering a higher quality pictures to make shots even a little 'more' professional.

Pros: Great value for money, good ergonomics, excellent resolution, Full HD video, swivel screen, intuitive menu.

Cons: One point cross-type AF, visible noise at high ISO.

Opinion: The Canon EOS 600D is an SLR amateur ideal not only for beginners, but also for the advanced amateur photographer. Faced with an affordable price, offers many features that are common to a higher category, facilitates much its use. Well built and solid enough, if coupled with quality optics provides remarkable results, both for the photos and videos. A good reason, can be considered a good buy.

Pros: Quality price, size, price, weight, very intuitive, adjustable screen

Cons: Noise already 800/1600 iso, few customizations of AF, there is the micro to the objectives

Opinion: 22meccanica SLR "and generally to optical / fotografia.rnrnPenserò to a future transition to FF, probably a 6D ... But do not think I give away my old 600D: sell it for 2-300 euro compared to 500 and passes spent initially not much of a recovery and sometimes it is good to keep a "compattona" home for any case (or to use a less professional)

Pros: Money, megapixel camera, intuitive buttons and simple menus, weight.

Cons: noise even at ISO 800, multi-shot per second slow, uncomfortable on the "video" at the end ring.

Opinion: I own this Canon for the past six months and it was my first SLR. The value is great because as long as it is used for landscapes, street, portraits etc. with optics of a certain level the results are amazing; but as soon as they get the iso for nighttime or other difficult situations you start to notice the noise even at ISO 800 (workable PP) but in 1600 I think the photo is unusable .. Another negative aspect is the flurry very slow in areas that sports or bird life is very penalizing. Soon I will make an upgrade but are still undecided between mk ii 7d, 70d or FF 6d .. to be my first car, however positively surprised me and made me excited about this wonderful world! I highly recommend to all those who want to approach to photography but do not want to spend too much money now, few but do not take it as a kit with the 18-55 but already opt to do everything brighter (eg Tamron 2.8 vc as I have or sigma or better Canon!) rnCiao

Pros: megapixel camera, ergonomics, quality / price ratio, swivel screen, ease of use

Cons: Noise! few AF points, it lacks the weather sealing ..

Opinion: I went to the Canon EOS 600D for about a year, the well-tried and I recommend it anyone beginner photographer, who wants to enter the exciting world of photography or those who want to switch from an older model to a newer version. Works very well in my opinion. But after you start to get ISO 600 the noise ... It has a relatively low cost for the image quality and prestazioni.rnLo swivel screen is very handy =) RNLA would really XD XD XD

Pros: Screen that rotates, which rotates the screen and still screen that rotates: D; ease of use; megapixels;

Cons: Excessive noise at high ISO; weak burst in RAW; the lack of a lock ring mode of use; coverage viewfinder

Opinion: I find it a reflex almost amateurish, in my view is more powerful than a simple entry level. The fact that both the monitor and the receiver I think this is brilliant, in many occasions is really a fantastic utility! I have used thousands of times for family portraits on a tripod, turned towards us, the subject of the photo. The 18 megapixels is more than enough, give a file of all respect. The problem, therefore, does not have the lock ring functions, one annoying thing, happened to me a few times already that maybe you saw him walking and you move the camera from one hand to another or even better between the shoulder and the other ( between bg and Tamron 70-300 is nice every now and then shift your weight during long walks) to find M to A-DEP that not even know what it is and in fact the first time that happened to me I immediately realized what had happened and I took the fear that was broken because it did not respond to commands as usual; actually had moved the dial and then panic. RNLA gust & egrave; really frustrating ... shooting in Raw ... is slow and does not last long. Just today I found myself in a show of birds of prey and the burst in many cases has been slow and short-lived unfortunately .. and then stays in the BUSY, busy, while recording the short burst. In short, this is the only real drawback that I have found. For the rest, I think really FANTASTIC, although it is not a blade at high ISO. 800 rnAd falters .. Anyway, now that I know so well, I struggle to part with it ..

Pros: Great to start, rugged, comfortable and intuitive. And lockable swivel screen which saves him from possible scratches or hits while it is stored

Cons: ISO scarce if every time you want to "push" the old processor now you have to be a little 'attention to dust.

Opinion: Great camera to start in the world of photography with SLR (avoiding its base models), the lightweight yet sturdy easy grip, fast and intuitive, the swiveling LCD screen is great for photos from unconventional positions and can be closed to protect it from dirt scratches and shock. Good versatility but when trying to do something more (type shots with plenty of light with fast aperture) time of 1/4000 should be tight, high ISO creates a lot of noise because of the processor Digic4 that do not contain above 800 - ISO 1600. The rest is very good to begin with and passionate about. According to my personal opinion the accompanying objectives should be done sometime also compatible for FF and not only for APS-C (EF instead of EF-S lenses) because 90% of cases using this camera is the desire to move to a more professional . rnVoto 8/10

Pros: excellent value for money, to start taking pictures with a camera is a must, up to 1600 ISO makes beautiful photos quite resistant to noise. Video from cameras! Exceptional, but it is not a video camera!

Cons: perhaps not only the brilliant brightness of the display by day, and a few points of autofocus.

Opinion: first SLR. first love. but the choice was very weighted so I knew that the car was well made. discover that sin is only the beginning for those who want to photograph because after disappointing shots with the lens kit, I replaced it with a 40mm 2.8, and then in turn with a 50 mm 1.4. Well the camera is a show. Not thrilled with the shots the previous lenses, it was attempted to make a change and 6d. Well with the 50mm 1.4 I changed my mind and I know that will enrich my kit with a 24-105 L series lens definitely recommend it to anyone who is a beginner and want to learn to shoot. rating 8.9/10

Pros: Ergonomics, light weight, adjustable monitor, picture quality and price (which is really undersold now out of production)

Cons: A few focus points (though nevertheless speak of an entry-level) within the ISO relatively average and noise of the sensor.

Opinion: I own this relfex a few weeks ago and I must say it was one of the best choices I could find on the market. Personally, as a first camera (SLR), I am very pleased, as this camera boasts a 18-megapixel sensor, which, I must say, produces files of reasonable quality compared to other entry level for not much money (we on the 430 euro on the European market and 370 on the foreign market, including a lens 18-55mm of course) and some small, but useful, added to a machine body itself already solid and ergonomic, such as, for example, a display Adjustable (really useful if you want to take pictures at ground level or at least if you want to have a different perspective of the photos to be framed). rnPer regarding the cons, I can not be considered an expert in photography, since I'm a beginner, but I still noticed some rumorisità sensor at high ISO, a few points of AF (nine are not many if you want to frame a moving subject), not to mention finally the skinny range of ISO reporttively within the media.rnSommando all then, despite these minor flaws the Canon 600d remains one of the best entry level value for money, and a good camera. Personally a 8.5/10 rating and recommend it to all those who, like me, are getting closer to the fantastic world of photography.

Pros: Swiveling display, value for money,

Cons: Burst slow, excessive devaluation in just 12 months, excessive noise

Opinion: I've owned up to a month ago that this machine between the entry level I think is the most honest as value for money, we say that is an adult with small (1100), but too immature to use even the most demanding, stressed in the evenings to playgrounds showed too quickly all its limitations, too noisy and slow burst make it unfortunately only a training ship.

Pros: Swiveling display, ease of use, full HD movies, and handle materials (by category and price range)

Cons: Sensor noisy, missing upper display, slow burst, buffer, fire is not continuous in the video, micro AF adjustment, only one point cross-type AF

Opinion: All in all a good entry level - nothing to do with 1000/1100D-. A model of step with the canon which, in my opinion, did not do a very good figure as that was recently on the market to make room then the 650D with continuous fire (with goals STM). Perhaps there was no need and it was more logical to take a step from the 550D is significantly higher (type 700D). Coupons 18mpx so dense even if the sensor produces very noticeable noise (100%) already at ISO 400. Minimally acceptable up to 1600, more than just pictures. With 15-20 times over "the noise is noticeable even at ISO 100. All in all resistant (not stretch very well), fast enough in the ignition. I thought it was great in the auto white balance, exposure and dynamic range I'd say good- level for the band to which it belongs. should pay particular attention to the brightness of the display and, in low light, set it to no more than half. With a lot of light is not very readable, in any case it is essential to keep the histogram attivato. The burst is slow but I do not think we can expect more from an entry level. A good first SLR but no later than one year makes me want to switch to something much more.

Pros: Movable monitor and defined, 1080p video, price, sensor

Cons: body a little 'plasticky

Opinion: I went to the Canon EOS 600D a few months ago, I was able to try almost all summer and I can advise to anyone wishing to enter the world of photography or those who want to move from an old model to one a little more recent. Pros: lightweight body, full HD video, swivel display, battery life very long.

Cons: slow burst

Opinion: This is my first DSLR and I am very well I must say ... the battery lasts very much! I recommend it highly to those who plan to become the photography experience because it is very good and a lot of satisfaction! the only flaw is perhaps that of having a flurry of shots rather slow .. I've seen other comments and I think that, unlike others, I do not find at all that the handle is small or awkward ... maybe because being a girl I have a smaller hand ... hahaha jokes aside .. Pros: 18-megapixel sensor, image quality, rotatable display, ease of use, quality / price ratio, full-hd video, battery life

Cons: Grip BG without small (for me), not 100% coverage viewfinder, only 9 AF points, burst in RAW

Opinion: My first SLR, I can only speak well. A great car, with a very satisfactory image quality. The sensor 18 Mpx (the same 60D and 7D) is really "saturated" and the quality of image, consequently, is great: generates RAW files perfectly workable in PP. rnHo mounted battery grip because the handle was too small, now it is much more robust in his hands. The battery is long-lived, the swiveling display excellent for shooting in live view, and very useful for the video capabilities. Very simple and intuitive to use, excellent inter alia, the Canon interface, simple to understand. The seal at high ISO is not great, but superior to other competitors: I take the max up to 400 ISO, then I do not like the texture più.rnOttimo value for money, if we consider that the same image quality of the bigger 60D and 7D. RNLA viewfinder coverage is not 100%, and the autofocus is certainly not to the levels of a 7D, but the rest is not si is a machine with professional vocation for sport or bird life. rnCredo needs appropriate optics to enhance the fullness of the sensor, such as the EF-S series LE LO High qualità.rnDavvero happy with the car.

Cons: Being an entry level materials are not of great quality, display unreadable in sunlight, there is no manual adjustment of color temperature.

Opinion: It 's my first SLR and now I work for a year and a half, despite being one of the small house of Canon is a very good product, very good sensor and the duration of batteria.rnIl swiveling display allows you to take certain photos in comfort unfortunately the latter becomes unreadable when there is reflected light sole.rnConto using it for a couple of years before moving to FF.rn

Pros: Lightweight, intuitive controls and easy to use, adjustable display

Cons: Gust slow, un-ergonomic, display readable in bright sunlight and you can not understand how it is triggered by the photo that appears

Opinion: Taken for what it is, that is a somewhat advanced entry level is not really bad, the sensor is the same as that mounts the 60D and 7D, which means that the picture quality is, you can not say the same thing of the form Af and gust, take only 6 photos to 3.7 fps in RAW, but is easy to use with a quick access to the main functions, however, recommend it to those who want to enter the world of DSLR!

Pros: Lightweight and compact. Image quality and sensor. Swiveling display, battery life. Value for money. Versatile.

Cons: Burst in RAW format is not very effective. Viewfinder covers only 95% of the frame.

Opinion: It is now almost a year since I got it, and I'm not telling me that it was a perfect buy! For me this is the first camera, and I think for anyone who is approaching to photography is really a great choice! Simple, precise, functional and versatile. In 2012 also came out the 650D which made some news. I did not try but I am sure that the 650D is an excellent enty level. The 600d allows me a really good range of photos, has controls very accurate and well ordered, so once made a little 'practice, adjustments become really close. The swiveling display is especially useful for macro photography and nature. The body constructively is very good, even if the handle is actually a bit 'end, and for those with large hands is not always ergonomic. Nevertheless, it is a trusted companion of adventures, its size and weight make it much more versatile than other of its kind. The battery life is amazing! The controlli shooting are always accurate, the AF is great and the mode of white balance and exposure are not always effective. For me, the worst flaw is the viewfinder, which covers only 95% of entire real, I do not understand this limit, however once you know, then you quickly and retain it and after a while 'is an automatic . rnQuindi to finish the advice to those who are approaching to photography and need a machine that is also educational. I use it with different optics and certainly I will keep still long for level sensor is fantastic, just below his sisters. So with a low cost of the camera body, then adding the optics more professional, you get a really good! I would not recommend to anyone who acts as sports photography of a good standard in RAW format, the buffer is not very large and the burst arrives immediately in zone efficiente.rnSalutirn

Pros: lightweight body and compact, foldable display functions, battery life

Cons: Raw supports burst in a few clicks, the display difficult to read in bright sunlight

Opinion: It 's my first digital SLR, so I can make comparisons with previous products or other products. Having small hands, not lament the inconvenience grip noticed by boys. The AF in sports is not the best, but they still manage to bring home too many shots. If you shoot in jpeg, the burst quickly recorded on the card, while in raw + jpeg is easy for it to stop after 3 or 4 step (I noticed this problem last week). Coming from a bridge, they are very satisfied, especially as regards shooting sport or hunting Photographic, or almost impossible with the bridge. Surely the 7D will be better in these areas, but to start and learn the 600D is a good camera.

Pros: Image Quality, Compact and lightweight, adjustable display, battery life.

Cons: Materials plasticky, slightly smaller grip, not 100% viewfinder coverage.

Opinion: I bought this because I wanted a camera body easier to use (since it is the first), with a good image quality and quite recently in case you want to sell it at a good price for a possible upgrade of the camera body. The choice of the 600d was perfect! The machine is compact and lightweight, perhaps the handle is a little small for a man's hand, but the grip on the camera body is good. The materials are rather plasticky but if you have special needs and situations were not taken in "extreme" (in which you need a weather sealed body) do not feel the need top bill of materials. The swivel display is really a nice touch. At first I was a bit 'skeptical about its strength but I soon changed my mind and I have to say that in many situations has allowed me to be comfortable to take a picture. Also, the definition is excellent. The battery I was pleasantly surprised in life, although I noticed that in video mode decreases rapidly. Finally, the image quality like and is equal to that of its big brother and 7D 60D ... it will not be that of a FF but for now I do not feel the need for a different sensor. Pleasantly surprised even the White Balance AUTO shooting in RAW that 95% of the time guesses in full! The only sore point is the small viewfinder coverage 95% to 100% it would be much better.

Pros: Compact body, swiveling display and high definition, battery life, image quality, precision meter.

Cons: The absence of an upper display and body "plasticky".

Opinion: I have a 5DMKII and I wanted a lightweight and compact body to take advantage of the crop with the focal lengths. The 600D is oggni euro it costs, and even more if we consider basically the same quality as the 7D. Obviously has no vocation for professional and robust for both fast an access to key functions. The swiveling display is excellent for image definition and brilliance. The AF is appropriate to its price range but if you want to try sports or birds in the photos better think about the older sister (7D). The handle is uncomfortable given the size and my hands, but with BG returns to be adequate at the expense of compactness. The meter is accurate especially after you understand how it connects with the point of maf, so that so far I practically never used the compensation function. Recommended especially for the price.

Pros: Lightweight body, full HD video, excellent swiveling display. A semi-pro camera but manages to have a smaller size than the others. Image quality identical to the 7D very long battery life (Testat over 800 shots), controls very intuitive.

Cons: The display becomes unreadable in bright sunlight, but it's not a problem.

Opinion: The swiveling display is really great, large and high definition, for those few videos that I've done I was almost indispensable. I found it very well done management in AV ISO Auto, the machine tries to keep the safety time and varies the iso accordingly, until the maximum that can be set from the menu. I found myself very well as ergonomics. Also excellent white balance in auto mode, almost always right, and the meter. I'm happy with my 600d.

Pros: Lightweight body, full HD video, display functions jointed, very long battery life (more than 1200 shots Testat), controls very intuitive.

Cons: Un-ergonomic grip, the display functions makes it unreadable in bright sunlight.

Opinion: Camera high completeness and easy 'to use, quick menu function even in critical action shots ... I regret the only complete uselessness' of the display in bright sunlight. I 'happened often to look for more' a gray area in order to change the menu 'that focus on what I had fotografare.per and the rest' a reflex of great satisfaction, especially for those who make the big move from analogue to Digital.
