Pros: Colors , clean files , minimalist , battery life , central af .

Cons: None as long as you know how to photograph in manual.

Opinion: Excellent camera body, without budget problems you can decide to invest in this body with a 100mm f2 for portraiture, all used lens + body combo for less than 500 € , if tomorrow I were to lose my equipment , I would definitely fall back on this concrete choice. The files are saturated and engraved, perhaps due to the absence of the AA filter, these 12 mpx are crispy and if a person is accustomed to precision in the compositional phase, without any crop the file is more beautiful than some big mpx.

Pros: Image quality, solid construction, great viewfinder

Cons: rear display with poor resolution

Opinion: I have been filming this machine for a few months after many years, The quality of the images is very good the raw are well workable and even direct jpegs are appreciable as colors and definition The resolution of 12.7 mpx is enough for even large prints (I made A2s with excellent results) does not allow large cutouts so it requires attention in the compositional phase. Up to 400 isos there are no particular problems, between 400 and 800 is still usable, over 1600 isos are heard. The shot is a little too noisy (but if you are not in the theater it is fine) The burst is in fact not there (so no sports photographers or photo hunting) AF adequate for not too dynamic genres No live view that could sometimes be convenient In conclusion, it is a good body FF machine that is located at very interesting prices in relation to the quality it offers.

Pros: three-dimensionality of the files, FF at a derisory price, embodied colors.

Cons: unusable screen, no video or liveview, pretty heavy

Opinion: Machine that has its years, has an embarrassing screen, does not make videos, has no wifii, no GPS, no liveview, and in general almost non-existent technology... but one thing does it and does it very well, THE PHOTOGRAPHS! For those who want a pure camera, which in short does "only" that. Excellent files, really beautiful, a complexion and three-dimensionality of other times, even the grain is not bad and remembers the film. With fire on the center point there are no problems. Also the used is located at derisory prices, to have great rows even in 2021! I turned them all over, fuji x-e2 and x-e3, olympus e-m10 and e-m5, nikon d600, canon 6d, 5d II, pentax k-5, k-5 II and k-3, Sony A7, but in the end I went back to my dear 5d, a timeless tank that only takes pictures, but does them very but very well, a life choice ;-)

Pros: Interesting raw files also for post production, fantastic colors

Cons: Maybe not lightning in focus, non-automatic iso

Opinion: A unique camera, for the price it has come to cost I think is really interesting as a fullframe. Very easy goals to find at all prices. I used it for a few journeys and photos of a degree, some difference with today's machines is there, but it manages to create a very interesting fealing. Try to believe

Pros: Best sensor ever, real files already ready, cost of used.

Cons: Considering the years none.

Opinion: If you are looking for a fantasist machine this Canon 5D represents everything you look for in a photograph, and talking about real photography... I think that to date this is the only one that comes as close as possible to the film, 12.7 megapixels are perfect for a fullframe sensor, you manage to capture a full detail and sharpness in depth, true colors recovery shadows perfect, obvious even the optics does its part if you mount decent optics the quality of the photo you see and not necless of too much PP. , it's very reminiscent of the film. If you want to do without so many things that today you will find on modern wifi machines, touch etc this is the perfect machine... Then guys in my opinion we forgot what is photography getting carried away by technoligia and having something always at the top. This and my second 5D body (the first one stole it from me) I have tried so many but what this 5D transmits to me I have not found from any other machine. The cons?? Well for me none, let's say slow burst but if you do not use and useless to have a mega burst, low resolution monitor to have no idea about exposure is more than good the files are definitely noticed when they are put on pc. Do I recommend this car? Absolutely.

Pros: cost, file quality, robustness

Cons: dated af, noise over 800 iso, display as if there were no

Opinion: ok the cons, but if you take a 5D you certainly do not do it to make birdlife or street after sunset. When I open the raws in ACR I often am amazed... I bought it for 1 year to have a low-cost FF for the holi festival in India without having to risk the 5d4. well it came back full of colored powder but it was enough a clean DIY and survived great. I looked at the shots and I have to say that it surprised me a lot so much that I took it with me also to Bolivia this year. and I was not disappointed at all the files have a sharpness that the 5d4 you dream of. definitely for the different AA filter, but on certain occasions I even prefer them. according to my experience how value for money is unbeatable

Pros: Robust, controls, central MAF point, ISO expansion, price used.

Cons: Display, AF, ISO (H), and External MAF Points.

Opinion: I have owned it for about a year, I have to say that I feel great, I only shoot with the 50mm, the machine, when you take it in your hand from a feeling of unique robustness, the screen and unusable, it pains in everything, but for the age that has there can fit, you can use it only and exclusively to control the composition of the photo. The AF occasionally barrels the focus only in low light conditions, as long as you use the center point, focus and recompose the image, the central points are useless. Colors are something exceptional. As for the iso sensitivity, up to 1600 are very workable, from iso 640 onwards, you notice a little noise in the shadows, but nothing that, does not even need correction, from iso 800 onwards you start to notice a little more, but you can remove it quietly up to 1600, obviously losing in the shadows, to iso 3200 (H) the noise is very noticeable and annoying and not always manage to remove, but in order not to lose the moment, I personally give away the noise, a small notice that I do, when I use the expansion, is to overexpiver slightly. My overall rating and 9/10, for the cost that has today you can absolutely appear, take home a FullFrame at about 150 euros and great especially with 50mm. To me the lack of sensitivity' iso high is not lacking for the simple fact that compensation with external lights and/or flash.

Pros: Colors, robustness, full-bodied files and simplicity.

Cons: Display, iso

Opinion: I just snapped. I bought it used with a canon lens of 50mm at 170 euros. First Reflex but with supervision of friends who have been photographing for a long time. I am learning and to do so I read various comments on this forum. I found it correct to read that the display often after the shot is better not to look at it. But if you're on it, you adjust and you know that what you see on the display then on the PC makes it or not. I'm trying to shoot and learn to shoot everything and only in manual. Something discreet came out. I have a lot to learn but I think I'm on the right track. I try to take a thoughtful picture and this body seems to be right for me. Then in the future maybe I'll change. I understand who appreciates the metallic sound... Nice... satisfying. Maybe you get a buck. but at least the sound is cool...!!!

Pros: Spectacular files, complexion, characteristic grain, colors, unique character, meditabonda.

Cons: DATED AF, pitiful display, ISO max 1600

Opinion: Purchased for less than 250 euros, maniacally held in impeccable conditions, I re-discovered this old lady who, used with criterion, can give unique satisfactions. I use it exclusively with the Canon 50mm f/1.4 is To say that I am very satisfied. I recommend it to fans of reasoned photography, but also to those who want to learn

Pros: Great files, color

Cons: high iso, af dated

Opinion: OK is a machine that has its age, however: when the light is not lacking, at 100 iso churns out creamy files, of an enviable sharpness even to current super bodies. Obviously it is not a fast machine, the iso over 1,600 are quite noisy, you can not expect those recoveries of the shadows that today are allowed or af a lightning. Basically you have to know how to expose correctly, it is not equipped with particular automations. It's like having an old reflex that has the sensor instead of the camera roll. Set iso, priority of diaphragm / times or all in manual and jerks.

Pros: Canon commands. Sound of the metal shutter, it sounds better than a violin. Beautiful file for color. Perfect grain for black and white.

Cons: Lack of af-ON key. protection. Not recommended for novice photographers.

Opinion: Whoever picks up this car needs to know he's in his good age. So no files with extreme GD, no ultrabrilliant screen, no liveview, no video, no 500-point AF sensors and more points. In good light conditions, the final file does not make more modern machines like 5D MKIII and 6D regret. Obviously with little light the limit to the high ISO is felt. Even in high contrast situations you won't have much chance. But when you press the button, the shutter noise is something that makes the courts of the soul vibrate to all photography enthusiasts who appreciate these things (so the deaf mirrorlessians might not understand). The lack of the AF-ON is something overcomeable (after years of use, missing a button is hard). The machine screen is virtually unusable, especially in broad daylight. If you use it to take pictures of friends and family, do not show the preview, because with the idea of today's smartphones, they will look at you how to say, what is this crap. The screen is small, very flat colors, very little contrast. I don't recommend it to first-time photographers, who might think that a fullframe is the solution to all their ills. The risk of having in your hand a great car but with the idea of having made a cabbage to buy it because you do not realize the potential For those who already chew photography is the ideal body to experience something different as long as you use it knowing the flaws and don't try in post-production to do what you do today (often exaggerating and wrong).

Pros: Price, color yield, ease of use, materials, is full frame

Cons: held to high iso, difficulty finding spare parts, poor screen, no live view, no video

Opinion: I recently got a 5d classic, bad to call it old, for 250 euros from a well-known dealer of photographic material in my city and I'm thrilled. I'm using it with a canon 24-85 usm 3.5-4.5 (the champagne version) even older and a 50mm 1.8 yongnuo so not a proper top set but the results are broadly satisfactory compared to my previous canon 1300d. If you don't need the latest technological innovations such as wi-fi and nfc, to make 4k videos and have 1000 items in the settings menu, if you want a reliable, simple camera that is halfway between the old analogues and the new digitals then take it one, at this price you can't hope to use anything better.

Pros: Feeling

Cons: Given the age is fine.

Opinion: I'm trying a canon 5d bought at the insane figure of 200 Eurini. I come from Olympus analogue and I tried Nikon D70 Canon 300, 350, 400, 1000, 1200 but I have never found myself at ease especially for the sights not suitable for "cecati" like me. Now I have rediscovered the pleasure of seeing well what I'm going to photograph, to have definition and colors. So I think, without wanting to unleash wars of factions that APS-C and minor formats are just a trick of when building large sensors was insane. The trick that survives to itself. Maybe excluding a few top of the line. I want to imagine what the last 5d or the 1d can be.... And I can only imagine. True that I'm comparing Vecche APS-C not top of the line with an ex-top range but there is no history.

Pros: Ergonomic body and not too heavy, sturdiness, few frills, FF, chromatic rendition, light files, ISO bass.

Cons: LV absence, few AF points, limited ISO, slow burst.

Opinion: Socket used at €300 with two original batteries: I love it. I love pushing it beyond its limits. It conveys a feeling of robustness and "professionalism". Very comfortable body, with the pleasant presence of the joystick for the selection of (few) points of AF. Quick focus, but only with the center point, the others are good for stationary and easily dockable subjects. Menu very simple and intuitive, with the right amount of settings. Pity the absence of live view, but it is absolutely understandable. As for the files that churn, what can I say? It's magical. Magic. Thanks to the few MPX does not put in crisis optical even dated and gives photos that occupy little space. Any advice? Bright Lenses and low ISO: it will amaze you. Leaving aside the obvious speech related to the 1600 native ISO (3200 extended), the grain that is clearly visible already from ISO intermediate does not annoy, sometimes revealing to be appreciated. Display conservingly (Little shadow Recovery) and you'll have images with the classic Canon fullframe look of the past. Splendid colors, little to say. Do not take it to "try the FF", a modern APSC ridicules it at the level of mere image quality. That's not the point. A fantastic school ship, a fantastic "second body". It is a reflex with a few finery... One that goes straight to the chase and needs precise rules. Use it for delight, calmly, reasoning every shot. He won't disappoint you.

Pros: Sensor, ergonomics, build quality

Cons: Af very slow

Opinion: Socket used to try the FF, a really satisfactory purchase, excellent quality immmagine, the advice to anyone who wants to move to full format for a little, slow AF but all in all you can do everything ugualmente.ad high ISO images are shelled In a delicate way that look vintage, in short for me 10/10.

Pros: Used Price (2019), Quality of construction, Full Frame

Cons: Unusable LCD to review shots, CF

Opinion: After Nikon D700, Leica M8, M9 I decide to move to the 5d... Wonderful! For me that I started and still continue to shoot with the analogue the "outrageous" display is not necessarily a problem. Fixed the problem of the Compact Flash with a CF to SD adapter so you can work the files directly on your smartphone. It is used that is a pleasure, a few frills and so much time to devote to the important things (composition and light) paid last year 300 euro with mirror repaired and (apparently) 39000 shots I would buy again and again. I use it with a 24-700 L f 2.8 USM that does not excites me too much but with vintage (Helios and Super Takumar) I have files that satisfy me in full (almost and I repeat almost like those of the M9 + Summarit) the Council

Pros: All

Cons: Do you have any? Maybe the technology..... But is it really important?

Opinion: Purchased...... Broken after a couple of years, passed to Sony A7ii, machine ten years younger and super technological....... Used a year and resold to buy back the 5. For me and the total machine, a fantastic quality, makes you discover the real photo without frills, no Live view, AF acceptable to my style (I'm talking on an amateur level), no Wi-Fi, no display, ie you c is but it's like not having it.... ? But in spite of everything gives pictures that have no comparisons in my opinion. If you aim and photograph rediscovering the true desire and the right machine, do not be frightened by what does not have compared to the new entry level or semi Pro, if you eat them at breakfast lunch and dinner. You can not compare it to reflex Pro even for obvious reasons Anagrafiche! Anyway full satisfaction I don't know if you had understood

Pros: Beautiful files, robust body, FF, true ISO, embodied hue.

Cons: Dated Display

Opinion: I found this camera in 2018 with the active 8000 shots. It was a real surprise. His files are really lovely. Colors, tridimensionality and machinability of raw files are exceptional. I think even today for portraits has few rivals. The complexion that it returns is equal to 5d m IV. If you don't believe me, look for comparisons on Youtube. I am definitely not regretting the purchase. I highly recommend it.

Pros: Body strength, general ergonomics

Cons: Display that returns too dissimilar images once downloaded to the PC

Opinion: I make a premise: I had this FF to use it exclusively with vintage optics. A massive machine, a battery that does its job well, an easy and intuitive menu. These undoubtedly the strengths. In order to make adjustments on the shots seeing the previews is difficult. The display shows different images (of hue and sharpness) compared to the files viewed on the PC. The feeling didn't take off, which is why I sold it a little later. This review is therefore very limited because, as I mentioned, I had little time the machine and I used almost exclusively with vintage optics. I let better express who used it in other contexts.

Pros: The top to start photographing, even for beginners

Cons: You will feel the turkeys to having spent 20 times as much for a last generation machine

Opinion: I hope this review can push some neita to buy it, instead of throwing money with APS-C of doubt use and equal value. On the other hand, if you plan to save at the beginning with an APS-C kit, such savings will go to a blessing once you try to re-enter that expense. In fact selling medium-range APS-C material is almost impossible, if not almost giving it away. I therefore recommend investing in quality products, which are beautiful and good circular checks. That said, let's move on to the car. It is amazing used at 50 ISO (although they are not native), has pixels as big as peanuts that will allow you to make incredible photos. Only problem that even at 400 ISO you will notice very annoying noise, so it is completely rejected for night situations without flash. At the level of functions has everything you need: shutter up to 1 \ \ 8000 (to exploit lenses even 1.2 in daylight and with Flash) and a super durable body. Basically with this machine you can make every possible photo "reflexive", to the ridiculous figure of 200 \ \ 250 coffees. Of course, forget to use it for photographic hunting, sporting events or places like theatres or discos. The AF cannot withstand these conditions. But I think for an amateur this is really the best machine possible to start photographing. Buy this, a nice Canon 50mm f 1.8 STM, and with even €300 you can serenely reach by amateurs the level of a professional.

Pros: Creator of Wonders! value for money; Simplicity

Cons: Little "Discreet"

Opinion: I did the madness last year, paid just over €300, the best money spent on a camera body so far. Arrival at girlfriend after trying APS-C-> M4/3-> mirrorless APS-C reflex So my review is based on a theoretical comparison with the machines had and above all about what my needs are. Although in love I try to be objective and list the Cons:-Noisy, the shot is not a delicate breath:) but is very audible, this limits me a little on some occasions; -Heavy, almost 900g of body only.. I will be stringy but a day even with the 40mm pancake on it is felt; -The double click of the ignition switch, I have not yet understood the usefulness, rather rocking on the side if you hold it on the shoulder often bumping into your body moves on the function that "Castra" all the functionality and I realize late when I try to Change the diaphragm without succeeding.. -The CF door has a construction that jars a little with the rest of the body; -Dust on the sensor, I have 2 sun optics, I use now for months only the 40mm yet sometimes I have to give a tip with the blower; -Auto-ISO, is the only function in more than I wanted, I kinda bypassed the problem by setting the ISO to 1600 of the Custom function, so tact between the aperture priority (of which I abuse and on which I set the lower ISO) and Custom according to the needs but a function Ad hoc would have been even more comfortable; -A little forgetful, I explain better: I have set, as I said, the ISO to 1600 on custom, now nothing detracts from changing in the shooting phase the value that however is lost when the machine goes in standby and on waking returns to the default of 1600. For the rest is a fable, I returned to smile in front of the computer when I open the files and when I use it! I proceed to the list of pros, shorter but more valuable in my judgement meter:-Wonderful files are not a technician but colors, sharpness, noise are from Uau! -"Small" files, the size counts... the files weigh little and are much more manageable in PP (I have to take almost 3 to occupy the same space as an RAF); -Optical viewfinder, dude! Sharp! Great! Clean! With a few points AF! I tried some electronic viewfinder... No.. For me the optical works, make it bigger and with greater magnification! -The handle, does not detach from the hands even if it weighs:D-the absence of the built-in Flash, is for me a more! -Ease of operation. In short, if you are not interested in deadly bursts, thousands of AF points that blur the view, Superlcd tilting, oscillating or 4k, shoot video and it is not a problem to carry at least 1kg more and sometimes give up shooting not to disturb the scene but maybe get aside.. Find one and do not think how long it will last, no one can tell you, enjoy it by consuming it! PS: Sorry but I do not know how to format the text!

Pros: Excellent image quality, especially in the rendering of portraits; camera by professionals, essential and indestructible, no unnecessary frills in menus, pure photography, and finally the incredible price of used vehicles; perfect amount megapixels

Cons: Display almost useless

Opinion: After almost a year of use, I came to the point of wanting to take a second to spare. Pure love. I come from old entry level Canon, which I loved and with whom I found myself very well. Needing a second camera body, I wondered if it was worth in 2017, take an old pro (I didn't know), or a modern entry/medium level (my budget is that there is no room for many other ramblings). Enticed by the world full frame, 300 euro per hand do the deal and I'm spellbound. Excellent in almost everything, beyond the functions, the image quality I believe that photography is also a matter of sensation and feeling that gives you the tool you use, and as I mentioned, we are love. An old pro at this level, albeit with different technological limitations, is undoubtedly better than any modern entry level which costs something in addition. 12 mpx are plentyful for what I have to do, indeed, hate having to handle bigger files (more space, more posts, online backup of raw times slower). The schermetto doesn't help you figure out if you have centered on fire (but thanks to the viewfinder and hundreds of shots, are quiet enough not to worry over this aspect), and struggling to understand even if you properly exposed. After some use the know and learn to adjust. I would never go back, the only unknown factor, as for all purchases used, is how long will the free ride?

Pros: Outstanding incarnation yield. Simple but complete menu in the essential canonical functions. "Rocky" body. 8000th. Few frills a lot of substance, excellent exposure meter.

Cons: Few autofocus points. Reduced ISO sensitivity. Display poorly defined and with very approximate colors. Lack of automatic sensor cleaning and AF end regulation.

Opinion: Great machine.rnI also a 6D that I appreciate very much, but the old 5D are in love! RnHa rock solidity, a simple but complete menu for those that are the classic functions of photography, an essentiality that fascinates me along with its wonderful sensor dense which makes the colors pasty and in particular gives the best of itself in the portraits where even in my opinion is unreachable.rnEvery time I shoot with my 5D and watch the shot to the PC I am surprised because it never disappoints me, it is almost tenderness to see that excellent files can still produce this old woman. She's an old professional and you see! I'll never sell it, I hope the shutter will last for a long time; would I recommend it? Absolutely yes! rnHe obviously the limitations due to the time, but with the price to which su finds today also in my opinion represents an excellent door to the full frame.

Pros: File, FF, essential menu

Cons: Nothing to report considering the age of the room

Opinion: Purchased for a photographic journey by a user of the forum I immediately realized that I had bought a piece of Canon history. The body is rightly heavy and robust, the menu is easy and essential. The files are really good and not heavy. There are also some "counter" type made iso speed and burst but considering the age of the room and the cost in the used Dell market I do not feel like weighing them too much. Highly recommended

Pros: Photographic yield, body pro, joystick, current price, ergonomics

Cons: No live view. Display

Opinion: Fantastic reflex for photo rendering, ergonomics and usability with the fantastic joystick. Though having several other reflexes and mirrorless the old 5d has an unsurpassed shot experience. Without the help of the live view, you should take the old way and enjoy the composition. The surprise of the photos that you get then seen on the monitor is amazing compared to what you see in the machine display. At the price that is today with the already reinforced mirror is a bargain.

Pros: rendering of colors and shadows, rendered untroubled by reference to many of the latest generation machines

Cons: apart from the mirror that got off the seat after a thousand shots nothing for the era when there was still no fine focus adjustment.

Opinion: I bought this wonderful car in 2005 just out and I still have it, apart from a problem with the mirror that got off the seat never gave me problems, perfect exposure, made of lights and opening of the shadows, outstanding 'embedded that I take as reference to optimize many newer machines.rnThe file rendering and the grain is soft and pleasant up to 1600 iso but it is advisable not to exceed 800, however great for the era.rn this wonderful car is still much more nice to hold in hand compared to the 6D I have bought I've had to compare it, certainly has less clarity when magnifying accents, but for the rest it's still a wonderful car! rnWhat do I say if I found it in excellent condition I would recommend it as first switch to the full frame which in my opinion does not compare to the smaller formats since it is at prices ripped 300/400 €, I remember paying it 2450 .

Pros: Valid, robust and well-built

Cons: Lack of fine AF adjustment

Opinion: It is the machine to which I must return to the Photography with the capital F, after years of pause followed by the abandonment of the film, so I will always be debtor in regard to this "dirty" digital jewel, which with 450 euros, Grip two years ago made me rediscover the pleasure of photographing, using all my old lenses with their actual focal length. Beautiful, robust, heavy the right, professional at all, at least how much it could be a car designed in 2005, and in my opinion capable of producing still stunning files today, which is incredible considering the very rapid obsolescence of digital bodies and progress made in Industry over the last 10 years. The 12.7 mpx is more than enough for almost any need, focusing with the center point is still in step, noise is almost absent up to 800 iso, and no annoying up to 1250 iso; Even nice, if looked for in certain situations, because it is like the grain of 800 iso ormore. The limit in this comes in my opinion on the 1600 iso, which are already an emergency sensitivity, while the 3200 consider them in fact unusable. However, it should be considered that the actual sensitivity is greater than 20% higher than the rated one, so the 1250 iso ratings correspond to almost 1,600 actual isoes (source: AllFotografi December 2005). The only true limit for me, which I Finally, it is the lack of fine AF adjustment: in fact the coupling with my old 24 f2.8 and 50 f1.8 gave, especially with the former, a rather marked back focusing, so as to force me to focus intentionally On a point closest to the subject. The solution, however, was empirical and obviously uncertain in the results, also because the relatively small and low resolution monitor does not help to properly evaluate the correct focus, which I actually only checked at home once on the monitor. An intervention in the room service was concernedNecessarily all the kit, and a cost of 150-200 euros, however, not final in the case of purchasing other optics. So I chose to go to the 5D MkII, although I'm sorry to have surrendered my 5D Old, either because the figure I sold it does not repay me for what I lost, or because I was very fond of this car, And I keep wondering if it would not have been wiser to keep it as a second body ... sigh!

Pros: Sharpness, colors, high jpeg

Cons: Given the price of the used, no one

Opinion: There is little to do, it seems to me a jewel. There is no tropicalization and dust is always lurking, but if you use this reflex with some satisfaction. Combined with good optics, it delivers incredible color files, where post production is minimal. Used with AF on the central point I think looks great. Currently not making videos I do not feel the need to disown it, and I'm sure those who buy a 500 level entry level when about a 300 € home brings a 5D is making a big mistake.

Pros: excellent performance and usability (despite his age)

Cons: some banding phenomenon over ISO 6400

Opinion: I agree with the previous recnsione: to judge this car you can not ignore the fact that is used below 400 Euros. Considering this is an exceptional camera. Good for portraits and landscapes. Clearly missing some modernity (such as Live View and a good algorithm for automatic ISO) but otherwise there is everything and made us do it very well 90% of the photos that you would do well with a more modern body. Excellent yield up to ISO 3200 and a drop of post-processing. Some of trouble rather than the ISO 6400 (obtained underexposing and then pulling up in software). However coupled with the optical f1.8 or more light hardly have problems. Still today the fund firmware with all the important settings (back-button focus, mirror lockup, bracketing sequence etc) already present. Incidentally until 2008 was the best car in the world ..

Pros: Full frame, Solid construction, great after several years for landscapes and portraits, little expense (to date) and still quite yielded.

Cons: Unspecified display, big not too high, no live view, no video.

Opinion: I've been using this body machine for a while now with some lenses, although the main optics with which I use are Canon 24-70 f / 4 L IS and Canon 17-40 F4 L. I took some time to test it well in the field in various situations before writing a review. We start from the assumption that it is now at a tedious price (300/350 €) and only this could make the decision to purchase the body machine. Nowadays for landscapes and portraits it's fabulous, I use it with 17-40L and it's a 100% fit, if combined with bright optics (for portraits) is still great and it's not fear of comparing with more recent and performing machines .rnReturns the three-dimensionality of the film and also the imperfection of the roll. (as I see it, photography is not perfection and as such if the photo is too "digital" it loses part of its magic, even if it is a fantastic photo. It tastes good) i am totally satisfied with this 5D, i carry it anywhere despiteapproaching the KG without any mounted optics, I would re-make it and I would never sell it. Probably in the future I will buy a second full frame body to compensate for the deficiencies (due to age clearly) that presents the 5D old ... ie relatively low iso, no live view (which I use little but can be comfortable in certain situations) and the absence of video recording. Nowadays with the same figure you bring home a new 1300D .. but there is no comparison even with the binoculars .. and do not be scared by the "13mpx" alone, they are enough and advance to say their still today.rnIf you want a well-constructed body in full size, with little expense and so much yield, be sure about the 5D .. if you want to offset what I scored in the counter .. you have to invest almost double or more and go on the 5D MKII , MKIII o IV.rn

Pros: A legend... resolution, colors, sensor sharpness, unique detail yield, incarnate and landscape rendering, exceptional file workability with incredible shadow recovery, enviable display for recent machine bodies.

Cons: Nothing considering the age

Opinion: Before buying this "Dinosaur" that in my mind for some factors holds very well to the current bodies, I came from a canon 30D, as many know the jump from apsc to full frame was shocking, I immediately noticed the depth of color and the depth of field ratio that changes totally, but beyond that I can say that for how much I am currently almost thirteen years old, I immediately noticed the depth of color and the depth of field ratio that changes totally, but beyond that I can say that for how much I am currently almost thirteen years old, I immediately noticed the depth of color and the depth of field ratio that changes totally, but beyond that I can say that for how much I am currently almost thirteen years old, , still remains a very valid machine body, which offers an image quality comparable to current sensors, without too many megapixels and densities, so much sharpness even with scarce optics, try to believe ! Not to mention the rendering of the incarnates and eyes, for portraiture, if associated with thick lenses, can really make you fall in love... Great display meter, with an excellent dosage of times, in raw the recovery of shadows is really formidable, underexposed photographs or overexposed points do not do at all fear ! Unfortunately the focus is not the best, especially in the points, for which I limit myself only and exclusively to use the center... beyond this I can tell you that I am really satisfied, I own it for a year and it has never disappointed me, super recommended even today for those who treat portraits, landscapes and small parties... !

Pros: professional and strong body, excellent performance in the portraits and landscapes

Cons: Dated technology, little usable display, burst and autofocus lens, lack of automatic sensor cleaning system, iso low

Opinion: I bought it used at the end of 2012, was my first full frame. I immediately noticed the more three-dimensional images, beautiful colors, exposure quality, the controls are where I expect them, I then added a battery grip. When you buy ask if the mirror reinforcement has been done, because it is intended to break away, as happened to me, but do not worry, Canon lifetime guarantee repair. By contrast, the display is of little use, the flurry and the autofocus is slow, but made amends for the excellent performance especially when combined with L-series lenses I had sold two years years ago, because the ulizzavo little, I was past 6 d, and then last year I bought back. The wonder was when checking the exif data the camera body appeared to have the same number as that of 2012: without knowing I had bought back the same car! At this point I'll keep forever. If you do not make videos, you do not need high iso and come from analoguelike me and you find one in good condition, buy it, you will not regret.

Pros: Simple and of superb quality

Cons: LCD too small

Opinion: For full frame I chose Canon after centuries of Nikon FM2 and FE2. I bought the Canon 6D and I would not change with any other FF. Then came the Canon 5D and I rediscovered the pleasure of taking pictures as with film. The Canon 6D is the horse race but the Canon 5D is the second body, the use of both armies of the different optical 6D with a wide-angle "fixed" and the 5D with a short telephoto "fixed." Do not use zoom and fixed lenses even if L is qualitatively better. Use the zoom walk like old photographers, if I want to enlarge the subject approached me and if I want a wider shot I walk away "everything on foot." Finally cameras are set with center focus priority daframma F8 and ISO as low as possible. The flash never directed and as little as possible, landscapes and portraits with the monopod with the tripod. Clearly the photographers that I love are only Italian Berengo Gardin, Bepi Merisio, Franco Fontana, Giacomelli, Fulvio Roiter and my longtime friend discreetly famous Ciro Quaranta. Ultimately who was a fotoamat60-70-80 hours evolved over the years can not fail to appreciate the Canon 5D, it is a step back in time but with quality.

Pros: Pro body, robustness, lightweight file, file quality and workability

Cons: Outdated technology, unusable display

Opinion: Beautiful camera, had, sold and then bought back to hold and use for undemanding exits. Indisputable photo quality: the combo with the 35 f/1.4 I gave me the most beautiful shots ever. The gap with the MkII is not huge: less dense sensor, more or less the same AF module (not efficient, especially with superlights), one ISO stop less. Small files that do not allow clippings, if not minimal. Very poor display, small and "random" colors (on the first all red, on the second all yellow). Robust and tireless, with the first I did a Holi Festival without protecting it, took water, dust, blows and did not blame the slightest failure. But a lot of dust comes in, you have to learn how to clean the sensor yourself if not it's a bloodbath. I do not recommend it to newbies except with a certain amount of masochism: it is not very easy to use, it has a very "analog" approach, good to learn but nowadays a little anachronistic. If, on the other hand, you started with film and want a simple, essential and high quality FF, which is almost gifted, it is unmissable.

Cons: no video and liveview, now prehistoric LCD screen, maximum ISO 3200, noisy and slow, obsolete AF system.

Opinion: Few frills, much substance even at 12 years. Of course it has the latest features now typical also of bodies aps-c entry level car, but the proposed price (especially if in good condition) is really to be taken. Pros: Price, full frame, made of files, color, sturdiness, ergonomics, ease of use

Cons: It 'difficult to speak of against these prices, if I had to mention something: display, weight, no live view

Opinion: I bought my Canon 5D few months ago when I was still undecided between the first and the second model, but I have to admit I did not at all disappointed. Now how come you can enter the world of full-size spending a figure so low. I love it because it's a camera without frills, is simple to use and does the job excellently. I can mistreat her because then I know that it is built as it should and is made to last. I know I must not influence me by what I see on the screen, in fact just look at the photos from the monitor I remain astounded by what still manages to churn. And the high ISO? Opinion: I use it now for 5 years years after I purchased used by owners, solid construction, robust and ergonomic: I've used it in the rain and intense cold and did not make a crease, a sign that the project is well done. The AF is slow for pictures of birds, however, by setting the center point with the AF assist points greatly improves both speed and precision that allows you to take pictures even of species in flight. Cons: Slight slow AF. AF in low light conditions. A bit 'slow in writing after several shots below. The power button on the bottom of the machine that sometimes beats me on the belt and fits the lock wheel.

Opinion: Even after 10 years this little (actually pretty big) gem allows me to photograph, at a professional level, Enduro championships (in the face of those who say that it is for static subjects). I took her to the peaks of the Alps where I photographed the stars at night (to speak of the high iso). I abused, carried in backpacks packed and has always proved perfect, always ready. In the hands of a good photographer has nothing to envy to the latest machines the canon as the 6D. Excellent sealing at high ISO: Noise always acceptable and chroma noise perfectly eliminated with ACR. The ISO 3200 better to let them lose. The AF of L series with no goals in low lighting is sometimes very low. I have replaced the viewfinder Ee-A with a Ee-S managing to better focus manually (though not as well as in the old reflex center broken or crystals). Best of the 7D for portraits and high iso but I would say that I prefer the 7D to do landscapes. Let me explain, if I have a limited budget and use the 5D with lenses as economiti 50 1.8 or Tamron 28 75 I can not get up and I have not seen in making landscapes differences with the 7D + Tamron 17 50 (available with the same budget) I would say to for landscapes and perhaps better quest last coupled. Pros: Full frame, file quality, fairytale sensor for 13mpx poor, solid and well-balanced body, viewfinder, Af central point, simplicity of use, yield and three-dimensionality, light and ready-made files. No dirty (in my case) even without self cleaning the sensor. ISO 50. Good expoter and WB car. Shooting time 1/8000.

Cons: LCD and processor a bit dated. No Live wiew (not suitable for macro photos). Sometimes awkward shooting noise (little suitable for shots in theater, dance etc.), high isO limit, sparse burst (but no one has ever dreamed of hunting with her, is born and dies for portraiture and landscape). There is no IsO Auto.

Opinion: For those who love photography and photograph point and that's it, with an almost analog approach. Need a decent burst? Wi-Fi? The touchscreen? Do you want to photograph at 200,000 iso? Then buy more! Are you on a tight budget and want to buy a professional FF room for the price of a compact? Take it and take it, period! With her you have soft and manageable files. We combine good quality fixed optics without fainting (type 85 1.8, 100 2.0, 28 1.8, 50 1.4) and find that even today for portraiture and landscapes is a must! What an airy ness and three-dimensionality can give the old 5D! The display is old and unresolved (for today's standars), but you get used to it and anyway you know that the photos you don't have to judge them. You then see them on monitors and... jaw falls! The noise is there (over 1600 ISO but not only) but of luminance and is sometimes even beautiful, with vintage grain. Rocky... a little bit heavier than the 6D. Even today a great camera capable of giving satisfaction because it is able to return magical photos.

Pros: Full-economic frame. Good resistance to high ISO (relative to the age of the project). If you do not have the need to make large prints, is one of the best cameras to generate static.

Cons: Lacks the automatic cleaning of the dust. The display is not reliable for assessing the quality of the photos. Gust poor.

Opinion: I use my 5D for three years. My thing is the landscape in which I found a few flaws. Up to approximately 800 ISO is used safely. In some cases, the file is usable even in 1600. The colors and the quality of images seem impeccable. The powder comes often and often must clean the sensor. Opinion: This car has nothing to envy to the new mark iii, the image quality is almost superior to the reality of colors, some of the technology is that of the beginning, but believe me that between this and any new aps-c is no comparison of quality images. with a canon 50mm 1.4 lens the photos are nothing short of exceptional. Nothing LV, but it can often be less precise and AF in the side, but the central place its job very well (despite some who say it is slow, to be honest it's not, but for some it maybe half a millisecond you see that is an eternity. Obvious for photo hunting maybe it is not indicated for the burst and AF side, but neither is the 5D mk II, quindi would say that the AF for most parts of the photo does not have anything negative). The iso are not very high, 1600 and up to 3200 in H, it is true, but I took many photos to 1250/1600 ISO test and in many cases the file is more than usable, I can say with certainty that the iso that there are are fully usable in the case servissero.rnlo schemro LCD is not very helpful in assessing the shot, can at best make it clear if the exposure is more or less correct, but it is very true as an image. RNLA'm selling only to monetize as by a miracle I have gleaned a few more extra money and I need to buy another SLR with LV for macro (you can do anyway, but at magnifications above 1:1 LV becomes really help), otherwise I would have no reason to change it. 12 megapixel is more than enough even for fairly grandi.rnQualità professional prints at a price relatively irrisorio.rnStraconsigliata! Pros: full frame, construction, price, sensor, workability files, image quality

Cons: lack live view, video loss, the sensor gets dirty easily

Opinion: Even today I find it very valuable especially for landscapes and portraits. In macro accuses the lack of live view. Returns files easily workable in post-production, and very sharp with excellent colors. But the strong point of this "old lady" is the stunning three-dimensional (a trademark) which gives the files. Of course you have to be careful to not go up too much with the iso. Now I use it almost exclusively with the 35 f / 2 IS usm with more than satisfactory results.

Pros: Construction, feeling from the film, and iso quality

Cons: Point Autofocus side.

Opinion: I have this machine a little more than 5 months, and I must say I was very surprised by the quality of the photos, beautiful crisp and clear, even at fairly high ISO around 1600/3200 there is a very fine grain that reminds film, and especially do not knead the details like many other newer machines, it makes videos and does not have live view, but this is not a problem, indeed shots as "once", it reminds me a little bit EOS 1n film . I recommend it to anyone who wants a simple machine with no frills, let us remember that he is now 8 years old, but still does the job very well.

Pros: Gorgeous sensor, price, battery life, robustness

Cons: display

Opinion: To date, an excellent camera body, file and wonderful crisp, personally than the Mark 2 beyond the nominal pixel I have not seen significant differences (indeed more pleasant portrait and landscape rendered on and autofocus, certainly has a mark2 better display makes videos and live view), is now a realization prices and get the absurd that you pay more for a used APS-C!

Pros: Affordable, full-frame sensor, image quality and cleanliness, very solid body and well balanced and a pleasure to hold, management ISO wonderful, good files, excellent workability, discreet setting possibilities, Professional.

Cons: Project a little old, AF module not great, very low burst, poor quality screen (although in some ways is a pro), CF door plastic.

Opinion: I state that I went from 350D to 550D to get to 5D, 550D dissatisfied in many ways, I wanted to experience the FF increasingly enticed especially by the very positive opinions of the owners of the aforementioned users macchina.rnA comparing a entry level you immediately feel difference, especially in weight! rnMolto solid, a rock in short, weight evenly distributed (using short optical) and a very generous size big hands that help you find cozy place (another reason that led to the change). rnDisplay rear reading discreetly easy, the menu is old-fashioned so very basic, when compared to contemporary ones, but in some ways more direct and minimalista.rnRiscontro a little irritating aspects that have alarmed me not a little (especially the blocking of the aperture ring) .... especially seeing forced to read from top to bottom are 12.7 megapixel manuali.rnI but they are beautiful and large, outstanding quality, certainly produces files superlatives, especially in recovering shadows! rnMi expected worse from this machine instead mi also had to think again about the high ISO! rnHo tested the 1000-1250-1600 and setting H 3200, and despite the 3200 are only simulated, have a beautiful performance! rnColori beautiful, details are also at maximum sensitivity with an air vaguely reminiscent of the film, nothing compared to the entry level or semipro already broken down the noise at 1600 iso, knead the colors and lose detail and details more piccoli.rnUna surprise after another insomma.rnLo small screen can be seen as a pro or as a counter, personally bothers me only his resolution, which makes it very questionable to interpret the result. Important to say to who ever wants to buy it, I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT WASTE FILE SEEN ON CAMERA! RnPOTRESTE bitterly regret it! is the kind of machine that concern, and maybe when you take pictures of the screen will seem like shit, but put inside a PC will make you drop your jaw to the ground! RNAF not performing .... Canon should and should have understood the dawn the digital increase the number of punf you do not hurt anyone; 9 are few and think they are just valid ... I made a generic test with various L lenses and high-end Sigma, which can confirm the reliability of the center point, a little less those around, and complete inability to engage the subject at the outermost points. a little slow with Aperture 1.4 but very open as for example with the 70-200 2.8 I was amazed! (A bit less than the failure of the balance). RnFunzioni personalized really bad, or you learn a few things to the letter or you may think that the machine is broken (block AFAE for example). RnPer about € 500 (I paid almost new, in immaculate condition 450) is the best you can have, is worth all the money it costs, if not more, I disagree with those who think that the 5D II is so much better, the 5D has far too little to envy! Buy it and experience the pleasure of a lady car that still has much to say.

Pros: Quality of files, though not robust body to tropical fraction of the cost.

Cons: Only one that is related to his age, ie the display, the slow autofocus and with a few points, iso than 1600.

Opinion: Machine still excellent. It is located at the price of a good compact files and produces excellent. It lacks many features now taken for granted, like live view, video, viewing a screen with high resolution, ..... but .... teaches how to make photographs. It 'a real vacuum cleaner, but personally I make cleaning the sensor, so I do not mind' much. Do you accept the inevitable limitations and 'now the cheapest way to enter the world of FF. The filter on the sensor is non-invasive and this contributes to the sharpness of the files. The normally use with the STM and 40 together constitute a formidable "street machine". Straconsigliata especially in relation to its price.

Pros: full-frame low-cost to date - sharpness - good and excellent pixel sensor

Cons: autofocus quite slow - small display obsolete and no light - not weather sealed body

Opinion: is still today my first full frame. I bought it used at 500 Euros and I must also say that in comparison to the best semi-pro or entry-level is definitely another world. I came from a Nikon D3200 and D90 and I have to say that even if the camera is dated, has a sensor that is scary! the pixels are managed really well depending on the size of the sensor and then returns sharp images with excellent detail and three-dimensionality and color rendition. suffers a bit high iso, it should go beyond the 1600s. The body weighs enough but once you get used will no longer be a problem. The cons are: the body that even if the solid is not weather sealed, which over time I am sorry to say but a few lines comes out and stays, and then display a really small with just a few pixels. Menu's really easy, but it has all the functions you need a true full frame! Change it today only to switch to a Canon EOS 5D Mark III or Canon 6D.

Pros: image quality, sharpness, pixel ratio / size

Cons: Today a little 'outdated compared to other full-frame, lack of built-in flash

Opinion: I used this camera for a year and a half and I'm still very satisfied. It offers excellent image quality and sharpness even with optical non-canon or at least not at the top. Unfortunately my copy, bought used in November 2008 was no longer reliable because the previous owner had used a lot. Robust, with controls at the right place, still recommend it to anyone who wants to delve today in the world of full-frame without opening a mutuo.rnCerto did not clean the sensor, live view is a bit 'slow to record images and l' autofocus is simplified, but it is Highly recommended for landscapes and architecture.

Pros: Body and controls perfect for large hands. Excellent yield of the file. Never felt the need of more Mpix.! Perfect up to 1600. Amazing quality files for the years he has behind him. rnCompete and in some cases won by many cameras today!

Cons: Slight banding with long lead times to ISO 3200, right in the laboratory. Quality of rear display that fades with time at the sides. Tends to get dirty often sensore.rn

Opinion: Camera that can offer superb photographic results today. Of course it is clear lens "L" and a few fixed. Super workable files it generates. Fast and commands to the right place. I got it used and I'm delighted. Perfect prints even at ISO 3200 (matter of taste and noise). "Grana pleasant up to ISO 1600. Excellent for traveling though heavy. Pros: Right pixel ratio for full-frame sensor. Ideal for still images or portrait. Excellent color rendering. Canon Pro for free recall "the mirror" (a sign of seriousness).

Cons: Not suitable for photos .... "movement" because no precise autofocus. If not the caution (always free) to Canon to fix the mirror, scollerà inevitably.

Opinion: In the run-up to the irrepressible pixels inside the sensor, this reflex has nothing to envy to the most noble mark II and III. Obvious after the iso 800 purists complain noise, but I took even at 1200 iso no problem retrieving the files in post-production (with the proper proportions). I would say excellent for the surrender of the photos and the strength of the body. I would think before changing over, I do not think that technology Canon has baked for sensational news photo-amateur.

Cons: Trend of the sensor to get dirty in the upper left corner of the sensor, jump from 1600 to 3200 ISO without intermediate stops, burst nonexistent.

Opinion: A great machine that despite its age (2005), and is free of all the "gadgets" for present, gives great satisfaction. recommended as first SLR to learn how to photograph given the current prices of used. Pros: Cheap, good files (raw and jpeg), simple menu and improved ergonomics

Cons: lacks live view, display a little 'low by today's standards

Opinion: I have this body for a few weeks, bought used in December 2012 because I had the dream of a FF. I have a 50D and a 40D with APS and I must say that the files that come out of the 5D are exceptional. Excellent color rendering, incredible detail and quality far superior to even newer camera bodies. I'm really pleased. With a few hundred euro is a body that is able to give a lot of satisfaction. Suitable for those who are not looking for the 12 megapixel and is content ... Pros: excellent image quality, pixel large, light weight, good body strength and resistance to weathering.

Cons: suffers from dust, gust limited Af unresponsive especially with off-axis points, lcd screen enough, lightweight plastic counters

Opinion: It 'was my first digital camera grip for work. I've never been disappointed, even when used in unfavorable weather conditions and transported to shoulder, including everything that I carry below. Ideal for landscapes, portraits, wedding and studio photography. Is fairly good for moving subjects and in low light, and sometimes need to activate the central AF point only. Good from 50 to 400 ISO. Good up to 1600, later still provides usable images. Given the current prices for the body in good order, to recommend.

Pros: Image quality, strength, density sensor, right amount megapixel, Full Frame, ISO.

Cons: Meter, slow burst.

Opinion: It 'was the first FF digital and I must say that I got great shots if not superlative. The more I loved it for the image quality as I got good photos in various occasions, and especially in very varied conditions / circumstances. It has a fair amount of Mpixel fit in any format (I got the 100x70 and surprised). The ISO range is fully usable, maybe there would be a 6400 but at that time you could not ask for too much. I appreciated for its strength as it has a good grip and I do not know why but great resistance to dust and splashing water. And although many consider it not suitable for sports photos I say that I've got that rally, football, soccer, and volleyball triatlhon, the burst is certainly not the best but the focus does its job. One thing that made me "curse" is the long exposure because very often did not give the correct exposure. For the rest consigliatissima given the prices of used.

Pros: Outstanding image quality, full frame sensor, the noise kept going up to ISO, ISO 50 and ISO 3200.

Cons: Monitor dated (not as much quality as the size), the center point AF precise but slow for certain types of photography as well as ISO 1600, there are intermediate sensitivity but directly Iso 3200.

Opinion: After having bought used about 6 months ago I think I got an idea of ??this machine and I can not help but recommend it. For those who want the full size and does not have much capital to spend is acceptable figures in the used market, and represents a big jump from the machines amateur, not only for the full frame sensor that offers picture quality and a yield of fuzzy exceptional but also for the workability of the Raw produced by it. Both in Jpeg that produces excellent Raw files that are perfectly workable with plenty of room for recovery dele shadows or highlights, definitely better than aps-c. The yield of the blurred, as mentioned, is fantastic and gives a lot of three-dimensional images ..... has virtually changed the idea I had of my goals (all structured to FF), enhancing them and making them make the most of. In contrast, the AF (I only use the center point) can be slow to follow fast movements and to be taken for, is a machine quieter and more thoughtful. The seal against noise is exceptional in my opinion, very remembering the film. Up to ISO 1000 I honestly do not find it and after only a grain that I really like, just remember the film (even at ISO 3200!). In summary it is a machine that I recommend highly to anyone who wants the FF but has limited resources to invest, you will not be disappointed!

Pros: Full Frame sensor, excellent sharpness and file yet lightweight and ready to go. Strong body, excellent grip. Yield at high ISO.

Cons: AF and burst lenses (but is not meant for hunting or sports photos photo)

Opinion: I use it for a few months. I used a 30D and despite the 5D is older than one year, the image quality is considerably higher. As AF speed and gusts perhaps is similar to 30, but for landscape or "normal" is superb. Sharpness at the highest level and photos that make it much more obvious the three-dimensionality of open space. Also good at high ISO, up to 1600 used safely and noise, although this, very nice and not very "aggressive." For those who does not like the PP, this machine produces almost ready files that do not require strong interventions. The ergonomics is excellent, the construction and the weight make it very solid to the touch. During this period they are found at very affordable prices and for those who do not need the latest innovations such as live-view, twice as many pixels and movies ... what about ... a gem!

sent on September 23, 2011

Pros: For image quality is still among the heads of digital SLR cameras. In some lenses that I used with the first little satisfaction on aps-c (Eos 40d) I noticed a significant increase in yield. The blur that is obtained with this machine, in the portraits, being equal aperture and focal length, it is impossible to achieve with any aps-c, as recently both. Yield at high iso in my opinion still exceeds the latest Aps-c (the only one that comes close is 7d). Wide and bright viewfinder. Solid body and with exceptional ergonomics. It 'the only full frame affordable for those who do not want to spend a fortune (and often is used in good condition for 800 euro).

Cons: Display small and hard to read in bright light. Shooting information visible through the viewfinder become difficult to read when there is strong sunlight. Autofocus is not like the 7D, but I think it applies to more than 80% of the photographic subjects. Dynamic range is not exceptional. Using a long time and noise reduction for long exposures is a bit 'slow recording. Does not have the micro autofocus, and this in my opinion is its greatest extent, together with the lack of live view.

Opinion: I went to this body after using 2 machines aps-c (400d and 40d) and I would never go back. The transition to full frame I opened up a world of image quality previously unimaginable. I recommend it to those who want to make professional-quality photos without noticing you have the latest technological trinket. A machine of substance.

Pros: excellent ergonomics, excellent dynamic range, response very good, very good AF, decent burst, high sensitivity, excellent value for sensor with pixel size / size sensor, exposure meter can be used with virtually any type of optics.

Cons: Miss the live view, and the sealing cover 100% of the viewfinder ...

Opinion: And 'the camera with full frame sensor for all ... the revolution of digital photography! excellent performance at high iso file produces lightweight and comfortable to use ... AF is not bad especially with optics pro. consigliatissima for photos ARCHITECTURE, LANDSCAPE, MACRO, astrophotography, and why not SPORT! Pros: Quality 'in exceptional image size. It also works well with objectives not exceptional. Excellent autofocus. Very fun and rewarding to use. Deep blacks, high dynamics and basal noise.

Cons: Nothing serious: You might have a better screen and more 'and a big gust a bit' more 'menu. The auto ISO (the real one that also works in M) would be nice.

Opinion: The sensor FF with photodiodes very large and the lack of aggressive anti aliasing filter ("the Japanese"), produce images that few other digital able to churn. Very similar to the film depth 'and dynamic. Thanks to the large photodiodes works fine with any lens and allows you to close a lot of the diaphragm without losing sharpness. Well perhaps the digital FF miles for those who are 'born (photographically) with the foil, and' therefore able to take advantage of this wonderful machine.

Pros: Full-frame sensor, robustness, image quality, huge park accessories

Cons: Dust infiltration, detachment of the mirror, limited buffer

Opinion: I have the Canon 5D since 2006 and practically still running like a Swiss watch. I only had the detachment of the mirror, now fixed with two metal tabs. I find the shots nuanced and highly detailed. Work mainly low to medium ISO and if I push too much noise appears. The images have an incredible quality still holds the comparison with the 5D SLR modern. I feel the lack of an effective system for the removal of dust but otherwise is a wonderful machine. Before you change the model would be able to test the quality of the future 5D Mark III.

Pros: Robust and pixels / format very guessed. Image quality is still superb and compared to more recent machines.

Cons: Lack of sealing, continuous slow, not very handsome and precise AF in low light, lack of micro adjustment for goals. White balance AUTO.

Opinion: Building solid, and also ergonomic. As I said tropicalization lacks, however I tested in the rain (sport), without protection of any kind, every now and then drying it with chamois leather and the car did not turn a hair, a sign that the project is well done and able to work outside his field (ceremony, concerts, landscapes, studio). The AF is slow to photograph birds, sports, and all those fields in which the AF speed is essential, however, setting the center point with the 4 AF assist greatly improves both speed and accuracy that allows you to do also photographs of sports. I, unlike many, it is the excellent performance even beyond the ISO 1600, the "grain" is very similar to that of the films. A 3200 ISO (see to believe some pictures of my portfolio), chroma noise prevails over the luminance but may be easily removed without damaging the detail, the luminance is never too intrusive, especially when the light is not too little. The quality and the workability of the files are wonderful keeping head still very latest machines, color quality especially with "true and fair" ... it is really ... faithful! and also in "landscape" colors are never too bright or intrusive. The auto white balance is perhaps one of the sore spots, but nothing unrecoverable with the white point, or at least with a color temperature. Well, considering it with the benefit of hindsight (today) there are much newer machines with more useful features, see AF ??micro adjustment, display much sharper, faster burst and the possibility of higher sensitivity, but when you consider that the machine is Output 6 years ago! must recognize that the overall quality was, and still is, amazing. They are so convinced of what I say that despite having about 5 years ago and having tried the MKII in a couple of occasions in fashion shows (machine obviously more handsome della MKI) still have not found sufficient reasons to replace it. Maybe I will when it comes out the MKII or perhaps compererò the MKII will cost far less ... or maybe I'll keep still for long!

Pros: High image quality; proper density of pixels; robustness

Cons: 2.5-inch screen insufficient quality and size of the burst

Opinion: If you do mostly landscapes and portraits and you realize that you use the camera from 50 to 200 ISO in 90% of cases, which almost always use the center focus point and you do not need super-crop then the 5D MKI is the camera for you. Under these conditions, the file returns a cleanliness and quality that can compete with Nikon D700 and 5D MKII and perhaps even the most noble flagships. Outside of these parameters may alert the length of the project, especially if you're used to all electronic servo-assistance of the newer cameras. For my part is still excellent up to ISO 800 but I would not go over. The 5D I tried it with all L-series zoom common: 16-35II, 17-40, 24-105 and 24-70 and even comparing it to the sister I have not found a more recent image quality at different ISO values ??reasonable , with telephoto lenses still do not know if the 100 macro particular differences I have not noticed. Strongly tempted to do the upgrade I decided to wait because I hope that a future 5D MkIII has less pixels, more dynamic range, which Sforni files to ISO 800 are the same as those of the current 400 and because to my way of photographing is not a quantum leap.

Pros: Image Quality

Cons: Project obsolete

Opinion: Evaluated using the criteria of today, the remains of a very high value high image quality (even greater than 1Dmk3 in my opinion). For the rest shows the age of the project: the size of the monitor, configurability (poor), max ISO, AF module is not exciting in low light, auto white balance is not perfect, of course, much less anything LV movies. To buy for those looking for the essential and knows how to work with an approach 'film-like'

Pros: Milestone in the history of photography: first SLR full frame offered at an affordable price for a good part of the audience. Menus simple, intuitive. Large, bright viewfinder. Weight and perfect size.

Cons: Rear LCD panel not very bright and contrasting but still good enough. Shutter response time (shutter delay time), autofocus and not exciting but still consistent with the areas of application for which this machine was designed.

Opinion: Provides outstanding files up to 1600 ASA (perhaps suffers a bit 'in 3200, but it is in any case a "forcing", setting "H" in the sensitivity extended). The density (or resolution) is still extremely good and the generous size of the photodiodes (8.2 micrometers) ensures originally an excellent signal / noise generating files without sharp heavy interventions software. In some forums complain about the excessive length of autofocus but in the customization features is the ability to activate the 6 Assist AF sensors in combination with the central AF sensor SERVO AF mode to single shot (ONE SHOT) significantly improves the speed above if coupled with a lens L series f2, 8. I think I was one of the few lucky buyers of a new EOS 5D (and very obvious!) Just a few weeks after the launch of the Mark II, however, I've been experimenting with but I would not change my OLD! Advanced features Flash (E-TTL II). I consider the most important machine ever made by Canon! Superlative for landscape and ceremony.

Pros: According to me, 'Who wants to buy a full frame used at a good price and this' the best in assoluto.Pixel just excellent yield.

Cons: Suffers at high iso .... 3200 .. incidentally we are talking about the first full frame digital market, not suitable for continuous shots, sublime landscapes

Opinion: This is the main body for use como landscapes are ultrasoddisfatto, not recommended for use in different types of fast bursts. Has the right density 'of pixels in a sensor full-frame picture is really fantastic nothing to say, will not have' the last measures of the mark2, but, for use at specific and 'perfetta.Ricordiamoci that has a technology of 6 years ago, but exceeds the current aps in many cases.
