panasonic_s50f_1-8Panasonic Lumix S 50mm f/1.8

Pros: Sharpness, bokeh, construction, microcontrast, autofocus, price

Cons: Nothing!

Opinion: Tropicalized, sharp and with great bokeh, sublime construction .. what else do I have to add?! It is worth much more than its price. I would say a must for L mount. No cheap fifty of other brands offers this performance, really an excellent optics and not the usual fifty that .. just shoot. We are talking about an optics with excellent performance and great build quality considering that it is tropicalized and returns pleasure to the touch. Really pleasant to use and impeccable yield at a more than honest price

panasonic_s20-60Panasonic Lumix S 20-60mm f/3.5-5.6

Pros: Sharpness, three-dimensionality, weight, dimensions, build quality

Cons: At this price, really nothing

Opinion: Taken in kit with the S5 represents a crazy travel kit; having from 20 to 60 with an optical quality that no other kit lens achieves, leads to having so much quality in a low weight at a ridiculous price. Practically avoid taking a 16-35 and a 24-70. Of course it is a bit dark but there is always the equally amazing 50 1.8 to finish I kit. I would say a must have. Really mind-blowing; I spent my holidays in the Dolomites with the 20-60 and the 50 1.8 despite having a Canon RF kit with L optics .. do we really always need the best of the best when then, without pixel peeper magnifications, we do not see differences? The ultimate travel kit.

panasonic_s5Panasonic S5

Pros: Compactness, lightness, tropicalization, stabilization, features, adjustable LCD, image quality, price

Cons: Viewfinder just enough, Burst, AF lower than Canon R5 and Sony A7iv but it is not with these that competes

Opinion: I needed a travel kit so as not to carry the Canon R5 and the L RF series boulders with me. Purchased with the excellent "kit lenses" 20-60 and 50 1.8 to have an excellent travel kit, lightweight, tropicalized by the excellent image quality, I was struck by how much it actually is a full frame mirrorless with the best value for money. It holds well in the hand, offers the right amount of rings and controls for quick change of settings, excellent build quality that includes the tropicalization that I consider necessary in a travel kit. Color rendering above expectations as well as the image quality that has nothing to envy to other competitors perhaps more noble. It offers an avalanche of very convenient features such as live composite, an excellent high res mode very useful for heavy crop or huge prints in addition to bracketing, post focus, ability to export frames to 18 mpx from videos etc. The stabilization is really excellent and the autofocus very reliable for my needs and far better in AFC than the Fuji XE4 and XT4 that I had and less reliable however than Sony A7iii and later. The quality of the "cheap" 1.8 Panasonic lenses, as well as the 20-60, is really high compared to the price, excellent color rendering and three-dimensionality, they all have the same filter diameter and the same weight to facilitate those who use gimbals without having to calibrate at each lens change. Plus there's access to the fantastic L Mount world. If I had to choose a first cheap kit or travel kit, I would have no doubt.

sony_fe35_f1-4gmSony FE 35mm f/1.4 GM

Pros: Three-dimensionality, bokeh, sharpness, construction, flare resistance

Cons: Only the price but the quality you pay

Opinion: This lens is a prodigy of technology combined with a wonderful bokeh, the crazy sharpness at TA allows you to make portraits creating great detachment and three-dimensionality of the subject with respect to the background from the soft bokeh. Relatively light, with a solid and valuable construction (declick, mechanical release of the lampshed, etc.) you have the impression that you have a high level product in your hand. The image quality makes you fall in love with photography. I gave away the zooms that were a big limit to my photographic growth to force me to compose according to optics and this 35 really does everything with great character and quality. Crazy coating, non-existent flare.

sony_16-50Sony E PZ 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS

Pros: Size, weight, stabilized

Cons: Indecent optical quality

Opinion: Taken with the A6000 I was definitely expecting something more, really bad lens that returns poor quality caditing how good the sensor of the a6000 manages to return even today . I thought I could have the quality of a very good Apsc sensor in the size of a compact and, having as the main body an a7Rii, a second body performing and cheap. so it wasn't because this little good zoom is only the size because it looks bad as a wide angle up to 30 equivalent returning bad sharpness then in my case the loss of sharpness affects the various parts of the frame differently. Flat photos and free of microcontrast, poor grip on the flare or various reflections . To those who say that you have to settle because it is a kit lens or to those who consider this bottle bottom a good lens , I invite you to try the incredible fuji xc 15-45 , lens kit of amazing sharpness and microcontrast. Ultimately I consider it as scandalous as all Sony 'cheap' lenses except for the 18-135.
