I am devastated - while shooting Aucklands Skyline at night my 7d stopped. Died. Refused to do anything at all. No display(s), no reaction to pressing buttons. The last it did was moving my manually focussed frame slightly out of focus. It did that when I simply switched it on - I didn't activate the AF... Battery full, no change after removing battery and backup battery (and putting it back in again, of course).
So, this is a discussion forum. I certainly appreciate condolences but:
Has anyone here encounted something similar and found out what its cause was?
Has anyone experiences with Canon support - especially in New Zealand?
Please excuse any grammar or typing mistakes...
I'll have a bottle of wine now and then I cry myself to sleep.
First of all: Thanks Juza! The new forum looks very promising!
So, let's start some discussion in the discussion section, shall we? I'll start with this link:
Amazing, that this 7D is still moving its shutter... I just wonder if it is still capable of taking real images... I guess, every recent DSLR should be similar in terms of durability, so it is great to see what is possible!
