South Africa 2017 - Leopards
Sabi Sands South Africa is arguably the best place in the world to see and photograph leopards. We saw leopards on 16 of our 18 game drives on this trip and on 15 of our 16 game drives last year. In total this year we saw 12 different leopards.
As Sabi Sands is a private game reserve the vehicles can go off road to virtually any place the leopards are. We witnessed leopards hunting(though not completing a kill), leopards with their kills, leopards climbing and descending from trees, leopards drinking, leopards mating and generally going about leopard business in different terrain. 4 nights of the trip we spent with Tusk Photo Safari's which definitely gives greater opportunities for photographers to capture special images.
On both of our trips we stayed at Elephant Plains Game Lodge which has excellent traversing rights onto other properties and easily one of the best value lodges in Sabi Sands.
