in occasione del viaggio in Ungheria, ho potuto visitare questa singolare ma stupenda struttura Lo splendido Mercato Coperto Centrale (K?zponti Vásárcsarnok) in stile Liberty è il mercato coperto più grande di Budapest, e uno dei più grandi e più belli d'Europa. Questo mercato venne costruito alla fine dell'Ottocento quando Budapest si dotò di una serie di mercati coperti. Il mercato fu collegato alla rete ferroviaria da una linea di binari dedicata e al vicino Danubio da un corridoio sotterraneo. I tetti dell'edificio sono decorati da maioliche provenienti dalla famosa fabbrica ungherese di porcellane Zsolnay. All'interno, caratterizzato da una struttura in ferro, il mercato è organizzato su tre piani. Il mercato è molto frequentato sia dai residenti che dai turisti, ed offre ottime occasioni sia per conoscere i prodotti freschi consumati dagli ungheresi sia per fare shopping di prodotti tipici e souvenir.
