Per quanto riguarda l'obiettivo in oggetto il problema non è tanto la qualità, secondo me tutt'altro che scarsa soprattutto considerato il prezzo e gli alternativi catadiottrici, quanto la praticità d'impiego. 500mm a f8 su apsc brandeggiato a mano libera e col fuoco manuale non è cosa semplice da gestire. Per uccelli in volo, poi, direi che è quasi proibitivo. Qualcosa di buono con soggetti statici è facile da ottenere adottando alcuni accorgimenti: evitare come la peste la luce che colpisce la lente frontale e sotto esporre un pelo per evitare di sparare le alteluci.
Per ovviate al primo problema mi auto-costruii un paraluce di cartoncino nero piuttosto lungo ma che svolgeva egregiamente il suo compito.

L'ho preso qualche tempo fa, con zero esperienza tecnica di fotografia, convinto di poter fotografare la luna senza problemi. All'epoca avevo solo un 18-55 ed il desiderio di fotografare la "mia faccia della luna" era grande. Un'impresa impossibile! Sicuramente colpa mia ma non sono riuscito a fare nulla di buono.
Ora vorrei ritentare di recuperarlo con un pò di fauna (giusto per fare l'esperienza) con la speranza che i soggetti (e della mie parti ce ne sono tanti) abbiano la compiacenza di mettersi "in posa".
Ormai ce l'ho e qualche volta mi piace fargli prendere un pò d'aria.
