* Palazzo dello Spagnolo, uno dei più belli di Napoli, magnifico esempio di architettura barocca, si trova al civico 18 di via Vergini, non è difficile riconoscerlo perché è stato utilizzato per le scene di numerosi film. Il palazzo fu costruito nel 1738 su ordine del marchese Nicola Moscati da Ferdinando Sanfelice che realizzò anche il vicino Palazzo Sanfelice per la propria famiglia. La caratteristica dell'edificio sono le ampie scale frontali all'ingresso riccamente decorate e dette ad ali di falco. Frequenti erano le visite di Carlo III di Borbone, che nel palazzo cambiava i cavalli per prendere dei buoi, unici animali capaci di portarlo fino a Capodimonte lungo la ripida via Vergini. Il palazzo è stato set di moltissimi film: Il Giudizio universale (De Sica, 1961), Piedone lo Sbirro (Steno 1973), La Pelle (Cavani 1981), Mi manda Picone (Loy 1983), Passione (Tutrurro 2010, all'interno del quale una decina di ragazze danzano sulle note di “Comme facette mammeta”), l'episodio “Il fantasma di via Sanità” di Pacco, doppio pacco e contropaccotto e ultimamente per la fiction i Bastardi di Pizzofalcone: alcune delle scene della terza puntata (tratta dall'omonimo romanzo di Maurizio de Giovanni, per la regia di Carlo Carlei), infatti, sono state girate proprio su quelle famosissime scale. *** Tutte le foto contenute in queste gallerie sono copyright Livio Frega e non possono essere utilizzate in alcuna forma senza il consenso dell'autore. ***
