Robin Hood bay...primo giorno del mio viaggio del North Yorkshire. Il titolo sembra molto strano, ma ha un riferimento alla storia che vi racconto: L'effettiva origine del nome rimane un mistero! Non c'è un pezzo di prova che suggerisca che il folclore di Robin Hood della foresta di Sherwood abbia visitato la baia. È più probabile che il nome sia derivato da leggende di origine locale. Robin Hood era il nome di un antico spirito della foresta simile a Robin Goodfellow e l'uso del nome per un tale elfo o spirito era diffuso nel paese.
