L' Isola delle Correnti è la punta più meridionale della Sicilia, ma anche dell'Italia. Si tratta di un isolotto roccioso dalla forma tondeggiante che si trova vicino Portopalo di Capo Passero (SR). Il suo nome allude chiaramente alle forti correnti ed è il luogo da dove si ha l'esatta percezione di trovarsi nel punto d'incontro (e di scontro) tra Mar Ionio e Mar Mediterraneo. Le case che si vedono sono la ex abitazione del farista e una ex postazione militare.
