Pieris rapae, (Linné, 1758) - Famiglia Pieridae - Sottofamiglia Pierinae - Apertura alare: Da 3,8 a 4,8 cm.

It goes without saying that the wing in the foreground could not be sharp, what instead stands out is your technique where you have been able to enhance even freehand the inclined wing in the background and what is also important is the capoccione.

I confess two things. First: your photos of butterflies for me are a point of reference.
According to me: I'm not an expert but should this be the common cabbage?
Grand nice shot.

Hello Gios, meanwhile thanks for the compliment, you are what we call cabbage but if you look in my folder of pierids are more species and also sometimes difficult to distinguish between them apart from the Pieris brassicae (cabbage magggiore) because of its size. A warm greeting, hello Fabrizio.
