Ampia caduta di bombe vulcaniche durante una fase particolarmente esplosiva dell'ormai collassato punto di emissione principale del cono vulcanico. Questa è una foto scattata Lunedì 4 Ottobre, sedicesimo giorno di eruzione sul fianco Nord-Occidentale del Cumbre Vieja sull'isola di La Palma (Isole Canarue). L'eruzione è iniziata alle 14:12 UTC del 19 Settembre 2021 nell'area di Cabeza de Vaca su Montaña Rajada (Las Manchas, comune di El Paso) con una fessura di circa 200 metri sul lato occidentale del vulcano principale Cumbre Vieja. Quasi 6500 persone sono state evacuate nel presente e più di 1200 edifici sono stati distrutti sotto i fiumi di magma (che hanno raggiunto l'Oceano Atlantico il 28 settembre).
