Peppe, mi piacciono un sacco queste manifestazioni, ho il rammarico che "qui al nord" non se ne fanno più e quanto meno sono sempre più rare, oltre ad essere belle e scenografiche, offrono degli spunti fotografici notevoli. Restano comunque un banco di prova difficile, vuoi per le condizioni di scatto disagiate, vuoi perchè la ressa della folla e degli altri figuranti impedisce di isolare adeguatamente i soggetti.
Cosa mi piace: il momento colto, lo sguardo devoto e un pò sofferente del soggetto, il gioco di luce creato dalle lingue della fiamma.

La figura a destra disturba, lo so, sicuramente non sbagliando l'apertura del diaframma l'avrei resa meno evidente oppure si potrebbe eliminare con Ps, ma mi limito ad interventi meno invasivi.

Come già Erre e Carlo hanno detto prima di me, questa fotografia singolarmente non mi racconta quello che tu volevi rappresentare, vedo solamente un signore vestito in modo particolare (sembra quasi un karateka) con un grandissimo cero in braccio, contornato da altre persone. Non vi è nulla che possa darmi indicazioni sulla religiosità della scena e della processione.
In post, senza usare PS, puoi far sparire, o per lo meno rendere ancora meno leggibili, le persone sullo sfondo, basta abbassare un pochino l'esposizione oppure intensificare i toni scuri.
Secondo me, durante la ripresa, invece di usare f7.1 avresti potuto aprire ulteriormente il diaframma, abbassare quindi un po' gli iso, e regolare l'esposizione direttamente sulla fiamma del cero (in questo modo probabilmente avresti perso tutta la gente di contorno, che sarebbe rimasta al buio) oppure regolarla sul viso del figurante (ma in questo caso avresti dovuto sottoesporre di almeno uno stop).
Magari provi la prossima volta.
